One x One with: Blacksoal

Aren watched quietly, having taken Xayden's hand so that they were both out of Shaye's way she she gave her farewells. He was about to comment maybe she say her real goodbyes, because he doubted she'd get to see him again for a while at the rate Iggy was dealing with things. But he remained silent, because it seemed they wanted to keep this a secret.
"Of course Shaye," he muttered calmly, "I'll drive. Just give me a minute to tell the guys were I'll be." He kissed her cheek lightly, let go of Xayden's hand, and left downstairs, poking his head into the basement door and calling to Carr, "I'll be at Shaye's if you need me." He got a grunt in return, still drunk, figures. He turned and headed into the living room, but Drake only nodded, having overheard. He smiled and muttered, "Keep those two in line for me." He pointed to Iggy and Raven, and Raven stuck out her tongue while Iggy grumbled something about being fully capable to look after himself. He gathered minor things he'd need, like his cell, house keys, etc.. then waited by the front door for Shaye to follow.

Vaix watched Shaye with big worried eyes, at least she wasn't hurt by him like he'd been fearing. But there was still something very wrong, and Shaye had no problem stating it now. What was going on? Was he just getting cut out of her life or something? He closed his eyes as she stroked his ears and gave him love. He needed that, it was more than nice to have her acknowledge him even when he didn't look like himself, it had been one of the things that had hurt him most during the Raven drama, she hadn't excepted his life and instead she ripped it apart to her own liking. But he had a feeling he wouldn't be sharing a contract with Raven long, not if he had to be away from his family.
He whimpered softly, raising onto his hind legs and wrapping his arms around her in a bear hug, similar to what a Lion would do, then angled his head to kiss Shaye's cheek, and Xayden's, though his tongue almost completely took up Xayden's face. He smiled sadly as Xayden laughed anyways and stroked him, "Keith the Kitty Cat," he muttered with a smile.
Vaix let himself drop back down, his tail swishing lightly before he smiled gently up at Shaye, then nudged the door open and waited patiently, wanting to escort her and Xayden to the car, seeing as how they were leaving, and this bad thing apparently hadn't happened yet.

Iggy watched Drake with narrowed eyes, more than once Drake had attempted to pry apart the song that blocked him from reading Iggy's thoughts, but Iggy was in no mood for it. He wouldn't let Drake see, and at one point it had gotten him so out of whack he'd replaced the song with his own screeching for him to piss off, and he had, for about one minute before he'd started gently prying again. God he hated demons, all of them, even the nice ones. Though he wouldn't call Drake nice, he was passive, but the same lust for misery still lurked. He could see it, Drake enjoyed pissing him off and covering it up with good intentions.His hand drifted to the gun still hidden in his belt loop and shirt, he was waiting. It was just waiting now. He'd let Shaye go home, settle down, then he'd end it, bring the body back to her house and to the basement, then preform the ritual. His eyes drifted to Raven, watching her as she continued to lay sprawled in Drake's lap. He shuddered, Drake was into her was he? He heard Drake growl and realised the thought had broken his concentration, he put it back up before Drake could try and see what was going on deeper in his mind.
"I am not into her. She wanted me to sit with her, and when I did she sprawled out on me."
"But you sat with her," Iggy muttered back with a cheekily raised brow that made Raven laugh.
"Oh he's totally into me, look at him. Poor souls probably never had a girlfriend in his life, let alone done one." She grinned, and Drake bared his fangs at her defensively, but his look gave way to the fact that raven had hit the nail on the head.
Iggy chuckled and pulled his knees to his chest waiting patiently and muttering, "You know, if you pay good attention, you may catch the smallest glimpse of Xayden in Shaye's arms. But don't you dare leave the couch while they pass or you'll have every soul in here pounding you into the earth."
Raven mock repeated his words with a fowl expression before she muttered, "Sure whatever pipsqueak."

Shaye buried her face against Vaix for a minute, sighing and just cuddling him. She was going to miss him, even if was only for a moment.
"I love you" She said again, before she rubbed her eyes clean and followed after Aren, after scooping Xayden up.
"Come on, let's go home" She murmured to her son, holding him tightly against her. As she walked downstairs, she glanced in the living room, hiding Xayden from sight.
"Bye" She said hollowly, stepping outside with her brother. She shut the door behind her, feeling a pang in her chest, her grip tightening on Xayden for a moment before she forced herself to relax.
"Daddy's gonna come back later, alright?" She murmured to her son. She winced, "Oh drat, Aren, we have to stop at the movie store, Xayden's having some friends over for a sleepover tonight" She said, she couldn't believe Iggy was doing this to her when she already had so much going on. On the bright side, Xayden would hopefully be far to excited to notice the pain his mother was in. She hoped Iggy would hurry up, she couldn't stand this much longer. She sighed, sending him a quick, cryptic text, telling him to hurry.

She slipped into the car, letting Xayden buckle himself up, just like the big boy he insisted he was, and gave Aren her keys.
"Thanks" She murmured to him, looking at him sadly. "Hopefully Iggy hurries up, I don't know how long I can take this" She murmured, raking her fingers through her hair. She glanced at her phone, Iggy had responded, basically saying it was in the works and would be over soon. She sighed, turning the iPhone to silent, checking the time.
"We have to hurry, friends will be at our place soon. I suppose we could just pick up Pizza for the boys or something" She glanced at her son.
"Pizza alright kiddo?" She asked, forcing a smile onto her face.

Vaix closed his eyes as Shaye cuddled up close to him. He really didn't want to be left here alone, seeing as how he didn't like it at Aren's in the first place, and now he was going to be all alone without his family. Even if Shaye had cuddled him for a while, it wasn't long enough and he watched her leave the room with flattened ears, though it didn't take long for him to start trotting along after her all the way up to the front door, even sticking his head out into the sun, despite how uncomfortable it was, to watch her get in the car, and when the door shut, he rushed to the nearest window and watched with lonely looking eyes as Shaye's car drove by. He pawed at the window lightly, and whined softly, then wandered to the front door and lay there, ears still flat, wanting to go home.
Raven watching him grinning lightly as she stood and followed him to where he sat. "There there love, I'm here. You're not all alone." She scooped up his limp body and placed in in her lap, watching with a light chuckle as he crawled up and hid his face in her stomach. "You missed me didn't you sweetheart? Shaye just doesn't understand you like I do, I'd let you have us both if I was in her place...I can't believe she'd an Angel Familiar, she'll become a fallen angel at this rate, like Rao." She felt him tense instantly, and blinked in surprise as teeth were flashed in her face. "Alright, alright, maybe not like Rao, but you know what I mean. If you love something, let it go, if it comes back it your forever." She smiled and buried her nose in his fluff. "Even if she's abandoning you, I still love you."
Vaix whimpered, she wasn't abandoning him was she? His eyes widened as he fixed a horrified stare at Raven, who laughed. "Oh sweetheart, who cares about her? She's a selfish bitch, she never gave a crap what you needed. High maintenance, no good, street girl." She watched Vaix's teeth bare again, though she could tell beyond the insults, she as getting to him with the whole she doesn't care about you stuff. Good, he'd stay her's longer.

Iggy had received and texted back to Shaye, he was watching and listening the conversation between Vaix and Raven with great interest, and sadly, he felt no pain over the matter. Let him suffer, he couldn't care less. God knows he deserved it for what he'd done, and if it weren't for Shaye, Vaix would have never gotten out of hell again. He would have been left to burn there with Raven forever.

Aren took Shaye's keys, started the car, and drove off with towards her house. Though it was seconds later he was told they needed to visit the movie store. "Oh, okay no problem," he smiled lightly, taking the turn towards the movie store again. Though he did have to say it was poor timing, how could Shaye be a good host if her soulmate was in hell? He sighed softly and shook his head, that's what he was for, he'd make it work for her.
"I'm sure Iggy will be quick Shaye, you'll have him back in no time...Gosh, he's going to be one messed up cookie when he gets back..." That was all he was going to say with Xayden in the car.
Xayden frowned, "Why isn't Daddy coming with us? Where's he going? Why didn't we take Iggy?" He tilted his head curiously, but became distracted at the mention of sleepovers, pizza, and movies. "Yeah! I want Pizza...Mommy what's Pizza?" He still had never had it before, or even heard of it up until this point.
Aren chuckled, "Everyone who eats food loves Pizza Xayden, just trust your Mother, you'll love it. It's like bread with only one layer..." He shrugged, "It's hard to describe really... Geeze what have you been feeding the kid then? No Pizza?" He chuckled lightly.

Shaye was curled miserably in the car. She could feel the pain Vaix was feeling, Raven was doing something to him. Concentrating, she focused on love, letting her heart fill with it, trying to reassure him that she loved him, no matter what. She knew he could feel it, and she wasn't abandoning him, not at all. She cursed, sending Iggy another annoyed text, telling him to get on with it, stop letting Raven corrupt his mind. It hurt so bad, knowing she had left him behind, she wanted to go back, cuddle him, reassure him, but she knew no matter what Raven would be there, planting seeds of doubt in his mind. She sighed, gripping her hair lightly, trying to force herself to hold it together. She wanted to go back, god she wanted to see Vaix. She hoped he could feel what she was feeling, realize how bad this was for her, how much she wanted to be with him. But she needed to do what was best for Xayden, and she would not have her son around Xayden. She hoped Vaix understood, but honestly, she knew how much he cared for Raven, and if she was badmouthing Shaye, Vaix was bound to listen. She winced, feeling her heart ache some more, she was in more pain then she cared to admit.

She roused herself to listen to Aren.
"He's only a month old" She grumbled, "And lately the kick has been grilled cheese" She winced, "Damn it Iggy" She cursed, she needed Vaix back, this was getting worse and worse by the minute. She was still focusing on the feelings in her heart, hoping Vaix would notice them. She knew he would, they were connected like that, but with Raven, well, she wasn't sure he'd believe her anymore. She winced, brushing tears off her face, hoping Xayden wouldn't see.
She sent Iggy another text, almost begging at this point. She wanted him back, so bad.

Aren was forcing a cheery expression for Xayden's sake, but it was hard when you were watching you little sister fall apart at the seams right in font of you. She obviously was stressing over Vaix, probably just being away from him, and heck, he wasn't even dead yet. He needed to make sure Shaye would be out of Xayden's sight by the time that happened, and it seemed Iggy'd thought of that as well. He watched her text again and again out of the corner of his eye, probably to Iggy. He sighed, and moved his hand from the shift to one of Shaye's hands. "It's alright Shaye, think of Xayden. It needs to happen at a time that best suits him. Try to think of all the positives of the situation maybe? Like no Raven... that's a good one to think about, life without Raven." He smiled gently to her, and looked back at Xayden who was watching him cluelessly, "What's wrong with Ravens?" Aren couldn't help but laugh. "Nothing Xayden, it's nothing, just adult talk. Do you know what movies you'd like?" He pulled into the parking lot and stepped out of the car, wandering to Shaye's side and letting Xayden get out himself.
"Aristocats?" Xayden answered cluelessly.
Aren smiled and shook his head, "It has to be a movie you don't own silly, that's the point of renting them."
"Oh, but if I haven't seen it how can I know what I want?" Xayden asked back, to which Aren chuckled and muttered, "clever boy."

Iggy sighed as he got text after text for him to hurry up and blow Vaix's brains out. He never thought he'd have Shaye encouraging him to kill Vaix, finally when the texts slowed he answered back, "Text me when you get home. That's when I'll do it." He wanted Shaye in a secure location, because he was sure Vaix's death would have a greater impact on her than she seemed to have thought through. She needed a solitary corner to curl up in and cry out of Xayden's ear shot. It couldn't happen in the car, or at the store. He found himself staring at Drake again, the demon was constantly fidgeting in his seat, looking ready to snap at Iggy if he so much as shifted on teh couch. Iggy wasn't intimidated. He'd had nastier bug bites than this.

Vaix's hissing and growling at Raven's insults to Shaye had rendered them both silent. He continued to lay limp in Raven's lap, breathing slowly and heavily, half open eyes staring sadly at the ground as he longed for her to come back. He listened to his demonic heart pump blood, listening as it skipped a beat with every pain of sorrow he got from Shaye. He couldn't read her mind, he felt her sorrow, her love, but for who or what he couldn't know. He could hope it was for him, but there were lots of possibilities. The sorrow of Xayden loosing his dad, and the love and anxious feelings of meeting someone else... was that it? She loved someone else? He doubted it, not after everything...right? Give it up. How could he know anyways? She hadn't told him anything except he could blame Iggy. Blame Iggy for what? What was this bad thing he should be expecting? Shaye come to the door with another man and say it's over? Maybe he was taking this too far, what if it wasn't as serious as he was making it out to be? He let out a huffed breath and looked up at Raven. He hurt, and he felt Shaye's hurt, so he hurt twice as hard and he could only hope Shaye could feel him too. Feel how scared he was, how confused, left trapped by the sun in a home he didn't want to be in, with people he didn't trust or like, and a corrupting demon. He was no fool, he knew Raven was twisting him into deeper depression over Shaye, trying to get him to forget about her, assume she was all those insulting things and just get over her. It wasn't going to happen. He closed his eyes as Raven started to gently stroke him, then mutter, "How long are we going to wait to get smacked by the font door Vaix? Let's move." She scooped him up, only to have him cry out sharply and twist out of her arms and curl up in front of the door again. He couldn't leave, what if Shaye came back? What if he missed her coming? His breathing quickened as he started whining again.
Raven rolled her eyes and held her temple, "Oh for Lucifer's sake, come on Vaix." She patted her thighs, then when he still didn't come, she gripped the choker chain and tugged him gently, when he still didn't move she harked on it so hard Vaix was flung over to her coughing and gagging and trying to get over to the front door again. Raven frowned as Drake snarled at her to be nicer to her things, so she gently grabbed his muzzle, and his front paws and cradled him in her arms, walking with him into one of the spare bedrooms.

Shaye looked down at her phone, she sighed, they'd be home in a matter of minutes, and then this could be done. She wished she could talk to Vaix, go back to him, holding him to her and tell him over and over how much she loved him, how much she needed him. She glanced up, smiling brittly as she carefully dragged herself from the car, walking with Xayden into the store.
"Pick two movies from this section" She said to her son softly, checking the time. They could order pizza at the house, as Xayden and Aren picked movies, she picked up a few snacks. she was so relieved that her brother was here, she was losing it, she could tell. She sighed, wanting to cuddle in her bed and just cry for the next month, that was house miserable she felt. She sighed, nodding her head as Xayden grabbed some movies, she didn't check the titles as she walked to the counter, paying for them.
"C'mon, let's go home" She said, making sure she had everything, before leading Xayden back to the car. She slid in, wincing at the pain in her heart. Damn it all, a few more hours, that was all she could take, and sadly, she knew it was only going to get worse.

She watched as the car pulled into the garage.
"Thanks Aren, its probably best for Xayden to still have his sleepover, take his mind off of his dad and everything" She murmured softly. She sighed, pressing the send button on her phone. Letting Iggy know she was home, and that he could proceed. She sighed, tellng him to relay a message to Vaix, if he had a chance. 'Tell him I love him, no matter what, only him' she had been senseing Vaix's anxiety over everything, and was a bit sad that he'd assume she was going to break it off with him. She sighed, looking sadly at her brother before helping Xayden inside and ordering pizza over the phone. She just got cheese, figuring it woul be better for his first time tasting pizza.
"Xayden, remember you have to pretend to be human" She murmured, "These little boys don't know anything about what we are, so don't talk to them about Drake, or the kitty, or any of them, alright?" She murmured.

Keith walked slowly down the stairs, groaning.
"Hey Roxa" He mumbled, "I'm gonna head over to Shaye's, check on her" He said, wincing slowly as he disappeared out the front door. He sighed, sliding into his car, and starting it up. Sighing he pulled into Shaye's drive way, knocking on the door. He winced as Shaye jerked it open, looking at him in shock.
"Keith?" She gasped in suprise, though she suddenly fell against him, pressing her face into his chest.
"Shaye" He murmured, rubbing her back, frowning in suprise. He glanced up as Aren popped his head in.
"Hey Aren" He acknowledged, "Um.." He didn't know what else to say now, he knew Shaye's biological older brother was not his number one fan, but obviously Shaye needed some support now. He continued to rub her back, looking at everything, it seemed different now, he had almost been used to being a cat, though he knew by tomorrow he'd be one again.

Aren had kept half an eye on Shaye through the whole thing, while Xayden shoved movies in his face and asked about them, asking him to read them. Xayden couldn't read yet, but apparently he could do math. He found that curious, but he'd guessed it was Iggy's doing. So he'd read the back of almost every movie in the kid's department by the time Xayden had decided which movies he wanted. He'd had to explain over and over to Xayden that just because there was a cartoon called Batman, it didn't mean the man was actually a bat hybrid, like Xayden seemed to believe. He'd mention Drake every time he came across cartoon version of batman, and he'd pout and complain every time he was shown it was just a guy dressed in a costume with a bunch of fancy gadgets. Xayden had finally decided on the movies: The Sword in the Stone, and Ratatouille. It was then Shaye came over, dryly too the movies from him and payed for them, probably without even looking at them for how zoned out she was.
Xayden looked up at him curiously, "Is mommy okay, Uncle Aren?"
"Hm?" It took Aren a second to pry his attention of his sister and look down at his nephew. "Oh, yeah she's fine. Just...having a bad day."
"A bad day?" Xayde smiled, let go of Aren's hand and ran over to Shaye, taking her hand. "You can watch movies with me and my friends if you want Mommy." He smiled happily to her, then hopped in the car and did up his seat belt, Aren doing the same and driving off towards home.
Aren's attention was once again on Shaye, though both hands were working the car, his eyes seemed more interested in Shaye than the road, though he was paying enough attention to still be a good driver. He smiled sadly to her, and pulled in her driveway. Aren rushed to the door, unlocked it, then called to Xayden, "Come on in! I'll just be a minute with your Mother, then we'll order a pizza okay? Your friends should come soon." Xayden laughed and bounced from the car excitedly, jumping at Aren as Aren showed energy, something he hadn't had a lot of around him lately. He rushed in laughing, the bag with movies swinging wildly from his left hand, as his short legs tore around the house to the living room. "I'll be good!" He promised his mother.
Aren looked over at Shaye as she slowly made her way out of the car, looking worse than ever. He sighed, "I want you to go up to your room okay? Let me handle Xayden, I have my cell, I'd prefer a subtle text than a call if you need me okay? It'll be okay Shaye, you'll see..." He smiled sadly to her.

Aren was surprised at the figure that had come to the door, he didn't know him, had never seen him before, didn't recodnise the voice that knew his name. But Shaye seemed to know him, and he seemed to know him as well. "Umm...." It clicked. "Oh! You're Keith right? Not cat Keith, but like, the real Keith?" He watched Xayden pop his head in the room at the mention of Keith, then look even more confused as he walked over.
"Who are you?" He asked curiously.
Aren sighed, at least there were two of them now to look after her and Xayden. "Keith," he muttered gently, "Why don't you and Shaye go upstairs for a bit okay?" He gave Keith a hinting look as his eyes shifted quickly from Xayden back to him. "Shaye'll explain what's going on when you get up there..." He stretched out a hand, "By the way, it's nice to finally met you in person."

Vaix was in no mood to pay attention to what Raven wanted. She'd tied him to a bed post, and in his desperation to get back to the front door he'd ended up suffocating himself several times, fainting, waking back up a few minutes later, and trying again with feeble bites at the chain that bound him, tugs and kicks and sharp hisses and meows. Raven was giving him and expression of extreme disapproval, not that he cared. He just kept trying to get away, to the point where Raven had had enough, grabbed him, and forcibly held him down. "Stop," she growled. Nothing, still misbehaving.
"Vaix," She grabbed his head and twisted his head to look her in the eye, "Stop." He settled a bit, and she raised a brow, his eyes stopped the ability to make contact with her's and she let his head rest against her legs. "There," she muttered gently, "Good boy."
Vaix just sighed, in the same condition as before, scared, worried, confused, hurt, and now stressed with anxiety that he couldn't be by the front door in case Shaye came back for him.

Iggy looked at his phone as he got the text. He sighed, rubbed his temples and muttered to Drake, "I have to clean up the mess. There's no other way now." Drake didn't move, but he could tell he was extremely displeased. Iggy made his way upstairs and knocked on Raven's door. "Raven, I'd like a word with Vaix."
The reply was immediate, "Na uh, no way. Last time I let you do that I had to give up my host."
"Raven, there's nothing left to take away, honestly. What can I do? I just want a word, you can even stand outside the door if you're that protective..."
There was a pause, then a, "Fine."
The door opened, and Raven and Iggy switched places. Show Time.

Shaye watched Keith and Aren shake hands, a ghost of a smile touching her pale lips.
"Alright" Keith nodded, wrapping his arm around Shaye and leading her upstairs, both of them failing to answer Xayden's question. Shaye didn't want to explain to Xayden that this was his uncle, cause then there'd be questions about who was the cat, and she didn't want Xayden knowing it was his daddy. She leaned against her brother, him supporting her slowly as he made his way upstairs.
"You don't have to explain anything, Iggy already did" He murmured softly to her, kissing the top of her head and helping her into her bed. She was curled up instantly, face pressed into a pillow. Frowning, he slid away from her for a moment.
"I'll be right back, I just need to get something to eat" Raven had neglected the vampire aspects of his body, and he was starving.

Keith made his way slowly downstairs, nodding at Aren and Xayden.
"Sorry, I needed food" He murmured, opening the fridge and pulling a bottle of blood out. He glanced down at Xayden, shocked by how much he had grown. Glancing at Aren, he grimaced for a moment, "I'm sorry, about before, with Shaye, I wasn't myself" He said, remembering how he had attacked Shaye, well he hadn't meant to attack her, but yea. He sighed, unscrewing the cap and tilting his head back, draining the bottle. He felt better almost isntantly, but knowing that Shaye was in pain did nothing to help his already frazzled mental state. He knew Iggy was probably doing the act right now, which meant he should be upstairs, holding Shaye.
"Call if you need a hand, with the boys" Shaye had mentioned something about a sleepover. He walked back upstairs, curling up next to his sister, holding her lightly.

Aren watched Keith go for the second time and nodded, "It's fine. I forgive you, man. I'll call you, but I think I'll be fine. I do have to live with Carlos after all." He smiled and watched Keith leave.
Xayden frowned as his question was utterly neglected, he put his hands on his hips and mimicked the black lady he'd seen on a TV show, "I don't want no strange slacker man in ma house!" He pushed out a hip as he said so. Aren burst into laughter at Xayden's display, and covered the young boy's mouth. "Hush, that's really not something you should be saying to guests Xayden. That man is very close to Shaye, he'll take good care of her, and have a nice visit with her."
"So who is he then?" Xayden asked curiously.
Aren swallowed, "He's...uh...another Uncle of yours, but not really. He's just so close to Shaye it's like they're related..."
"Ohhh," Xayden muttered, "Like Kitty Keith?"
"Yeah, just like Kitty Keith." Aren muttered with a smile. "Now, let's go get everything set up. You clean up the living room, and I'll take out some mattresses, you can all sleep in the living room tonight." He figured it was best to keep Xayden away from the drama upstairs as much as possible. He clapped his hands, "Chop chop Xayden, we have lots to do."
Xayden nodded, and took off into the living room while Aren took off into the basement to find spare mattresses.

Vaix greeted Iggy as he'd expected. The teeth bared, the eyes flashed hate, and if not for being so emotionally distraught from being away from Shaye, he'd probably be strangling himself try to get at Iggy. The hate in his eyes told Iggy that Vaix knew whatever was going on was his fault, but he forced himself to remain chillingly calm.
"Vaix," he started quietly, "I've come up here today to fix something that should have been dealt with seven hundred years ago. You've not only caused me a life of pain, but your entire family as well, and for what? Raven? You wouldn't love you if you didn't have a contract with her, she won't love you when you go to hell. You'll be alone, and if not, you'll have a very terrible experience with her by your side. But I'm here today to do more than point out your sins, I'm also here to say I still love you as my brother, and that Shaye loves you as a soul mate, and Xayden as a father, and Keith as a best friend... I could go on and on forever Vaix about all the people that love you. So I don't want you to feel alone when you're gone. Shaye wanted me to tell you this: She loves you, no matter what, only you." He smiled sadly as Vaix's eyes narrowed suspiciously at him, and he could hear Raven fidgeting outside the door. He sucked in a breath and muttered softly, "I wish you peace in your death."
The rest was like lightening, his hand flashed down, gripped the gun and shot without warning, hitting the target straight between the eyes, and exploding in a cloud of fire. Vaix was put out of his misery as soon as the bullet had struck, but it didn't stop the high itched wail that broke from his mouth as he saw the gun. It had been quick, and painless, and humane. He heard Raven let out a cry out as well, then slump to the floor with a dull thud, and he watched sadly as the fire ate up the carcase of his brother's host body. Iggy sniffed and whipped tears from his eyes, placing the gun on the night table and watching the fire go out as it finished devouring the demon's body, and nothing else as expected. His demon book had talked about that, fire being interested in only the demon, and resulting in the demon and the fire's death. He'd never forget that sound, the sound of his brother's death, the scream was emotionally pain stricken enough to shatter even the coldest heart, and though Shaye was so far away he was sure she'd heard and felt it. He wandered out of the room, seeing Vaix's body sprawled out, still, thank god, in men's clothing. He scooped it up and started carrying it downstairs, where he was greeted by the bared fangs of Drake.
"You used Aren's gun!" he hissed, "You used Shaye's own brother's gun to kill her soul mate!"
Iggy shrugged, "Fitting isn't it? Car said I could use it, I even asked him. He said sure thing."
Drake growled and took off downstairs to yell at the vampire, even if he was still with his newly vampirised client.
Iggy carried on his way dragged Vaix out towards Shaye's place, hopefully no one would notice him, and the kids weren't there yet.

Shaye curled against Keith, sobbing softly. It hurt so bad, and then, she let out a painfilled scream, her heart felt as if it had been shattered. She was in so much pain, her body was screaming at her to die, anything to end the pain,
"No Shaye, it's fine, shh" Keith said frantically, stroking her hair as she lay limp on the couch, her body spasming occasionally. He winced, knowing the pain she felt better then anyone. He wished he could tell her it would get better, but it wouldn't. He cradled her in his lap, stroking her face, murmuring softly in her ear, holding her softly.
"Shh" he said over and over, hoping against hope Xayden hadn't heard. Shaye was basically unconcious, her eyes were silver, he knew it. Her hair was already streaking that colour, he knew she was incredibly close to death.
"Shh" He said softly again, kissing her forhead. He just wanted her to be okay.

Keith winced, watching blood begining to dot Shaye's shirt, obviously this was having a drastic effect on her.
"No" He winced, he rememberd this stage, feeling everything, and able to do nothing. Sighing he began to clean her up, trying to calm her down. He knew it would pass, but for right now it was something he wasn't really prepared for. He sighed, leaving her for a moment to go and get her something to eat, he knew she'd be hungry, it was a thing , plus she was losing blood. He walked downstairs, looking destressed at Aren, "Maybe take them outside?" He ndoded at the boys, looking at Xayden, who looked extremely concerned. He hoped they hadn't heard Shaye scream.

Both Aren and Xayden had heard Shaye's scream, Xayden had froze instinctively, then had attempted to rush to his mother's side. It was all Aren could do to retrain Xayden by wrapping his arms around him in a hug and muttering to Xayden, "It's fine. She's fine Xayden, no one's hurting her...she's just having a really really bad day." Xayden didn't look convinced at all, and he didn't blame him. But Xayden didn't take off, he waited quietly for someone to come down, and when it happened to be Keith, he let out a small, nonthreatening growl.
"What did you do with my Mommy?!" he spat, running and beating up Keith's long legs with powerless punches, while Aren held his head and sighed. Looking at Keith and muttering softly, "He heard, thank god his friends haven't come yet, that's the last things we need to explain to company." He blinked watching Keith take more blood from the fridge. "Might as well take all of them, Xayden can't drink them in front of his friends anyways." He nodded at the outside comment. He'd do that for sure, let the run off steam in the backyard with a ball or two. He blinked as the door bell went off, but it wasn't the expected company. He'd made sure before he answered it in front of Xayden.
"Xayden, why don't you go out back and organise your lawn toys for your friends?"
Xayden narrowed his eyes, then crossed his arms and stormed off.
It was Iggy at the door, half holding, half dragging his bigger brother's carcass to the house. He smiled up at Aren softly, then blinked at he saw Keith, his smile faded and he felt a small prick of fear crawl up his spine for how Keith would react knowing Shaye's pain. He swallowed, looking for Xayden, and sighing, good. Then he could hide the body and get this over with.
"Where do you think I should put him? In my room or Shaye's?"

Keith winced, but he knelt down as Xayden began to attack his legs.
"Xayden, I promise you, I will never, ever do anything to hurt your mom" He said, resting a hand on his shoulder, before nodding to Aren.
"She'll be hungry, I was" He didn't mention Lina, he was still listening to the promise he had made when he took the contract with Raven. He glanced up as Iggy entered, relieved that Aren had the forsight to send Xayden away. A low, rumbling growl escaped him. "Are you going to start the summoning right away Because if you are, take him downstairs. Shaye doesn't need to see him like that" He snapped, bristling with anger. He wanted to throttle Iggy for putting Shaye and Vaix through this, "Hurry up Ig, she's not gonna last much longer" It had been hell for him to continue, and the only reason he had was cause Sara had found him, making it impossible for him to commit the act he wanted to.

Aren's eyes bulged at the sight of Iggy dragging a body out in the open. He let Keith finish before he growled, "For crying out loud Iggy! Did anyone see you like that?"
Iggy shrugged, "One guy did, but I told him Vaix had been drinking, and I was just taking him home. He bought it no problem, even helped me carry him some of the way." He looked up at Keith, who looked beyond pissed, better angry than hating though. He could deal with angry, and Keith had every right to be angry with him, especially when everything was such a mess right now. But he'd see, they'd all see. Iggy had everyone's best intentions at heart.
"I dunno, is she really that bad already? I mean, it hasn't even been three hours yet, let alone a day. Don't you think someone should be upstairs keeping an eye on her?"
He wanted Vaix to suffer at least a day for his sins, that was about 40 years in hell. He shifted his weight, glanced up at Keith, then Aren, both were glaring at him to the point where he wanted to hide under the body he was carrying. He gave a nervous laugh, then slunk past Keith to lug Vaix downstairs where he promptly laid him on the floor and took out white chalk, carefully drawing the circle provided on the summoning spell's page, making sure he had every detail correct before he sat down and red over the spell again for the hundredth time. He'd wait a bit, not too much seeing as how Shaye was already loosing it, but just a bit more.

Keith let out a brutal sounding roar, if Xayden hadn't been nearby he would have attacked Iggy.
"Iggy, do you not understand what losing a soulmate does to someone?" He growled, "You aren't supposed to survive, her every thought, every movement is her trying to kill herself. So I don't give a rats ass about you wanting Vaix to suffer, cause I know you Iggy, you're a venditctive little shit, so for once, don't think about yourself, your wants, and help someone" He snarled, with that he disappeared up the stairs, bottle in hand as he entered the room. Shaye lay still, but it was obviuos she was in a ton of pain. He winced, curling around her, pulling her into his lap again.
"Shh, it'll be alright Shaye, don't worry" He was definately tempted to go downstairs and kill Iggy, but then they'd never get Vaix back. He sighed, stroking Shaye's face, unsure what to do. There wasn't much he was able to do until she woke up, which would probably be soon, but still. He wondered if maybe when she did wake up, if seeing Xayden would help, remind her that she had someone worth fighting for.

Iggy sat downstairs, having out his book down and staring at Vaix's body, then to the clock, then up to the ceiling towards Shaye's room. He sighed and lowered his head again, he was hurt, though he'd been called a lot worse by Vaix, the fact Keith had insulted him so, when he strived for Keith's approval really did hurt him. He was not vindictive...right? He sniffed, pulled his legs up to his chest as he felt Keith fume internally. He felt hated by everyone now, and though he'd been expecting it, it was still hard to deal with. He rocked gently, staring at Vaix again and shaking his head, "This is your fault," he choked. "I've never done anything to you, not a thing, and you still hated me to the point where you sought out the help of a demon. Shaye's crying because of you, not me. If you'd never gotten Raven, I'd have never had to have done this. But it's my turn now, I won't let your contract hurt me anymore." He paused and shook his head, "How is it fair? How is it fair that after everything you've done, you still get a girl like that? Still get to experience happiness I'd die for? How is that in anyway fair?!" He gripped his knees to the point where they started to bleed. "I am not Vindictive!" He shrieked at the ceiling, then broke down and started sobbing lightly with his head hidden in the valley he'd created between his body and legs.
Aren stood, listening to Iggy vent, he was loud...and talking to a dead body? He moaned, hearing Xayden kicking things around outside. That poor boy, why did his family have to be so messed up? So complicated?
"Can I come in now?" Xayden asked Aren, peeking in the door.
"Yeah come on in, your friends should be here any second now," Aren muttered gently.
"Can I see Mommy?" Xayden asked wandering over and tugging on Aren's shirt.
Aren frowned, "I don't think that's a good idea right now Xayden. Maybe later tonight okay?"
Xayden nodded quietly, then blinked as the doorbell went off, he looked up at Aren expectantly as he looked out the window, then smiled and answered the door. "Hey boys! Welcome. Can you play in the back for a bit maybe?"
"Can we swim in the pool?" one boy asked with a smile.
Aren blinked, then said cheerily, "if you brought bathing suits, of course. Go around the side please, and no one get in the pool until I get out there."
There was enthusiastic yays, and all three boys ran around the side, Xayden still with enthusiasm, but obviously troubled.

Keith winced as he heard Iggy's tirade. Damn it, he shouldn't have lost his temper with the boy. He looked at the unconcious Shaye, which was hard to see, but he figured he could go try and talk to Iggy. He stood up, wandering back downstairs, feeling torn apart about everything. He glanced up, watching three little boys streak past him, chattering excitedly about swimming. He pushed open the basement door and walked downstairs.
"Ig?" He said gently, kneeling beside the young vampre and wrapping an arm around him. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to snap at you" He raked his fingers through his hair.
"I'm just having a really bad, long day" He winced, glancing at Vaix's figure.
"Bring him back Ig, I know he's done some unforgivable stuff, but Shaye doesn't deserve to suffer for his mistakes, or yours" He knew Iggy wanted Vaix to suffer, it was understandable, but it was wrong.
"It sounds cliche, I know, but two wrongs don't make a right" He sighed, "And Xayden needs his mom and dad Iggy, don't make him wait for them" With that, he turned, starting back up the stairs.

Finally Shaye began to wake up, groaning in pain.
"Oh" She gasped, "Easy" Keith murmured, wincing a bit. "Xayden" Shaye gasped.
"Outside, with his friends" Shaye winced, dragging a hand over her mouth.
"I wanna see him" She murmured, forcing herself up.
"Are you sure that's wise?"
"He's my son" Shaye said, though she looked absolutely wrecked. She was definately in more pain then she wanted to even admit, but she needed to make sure Xayden was okay. She sighed, carefully making her way downstairs, Keith following behind her, worried sick.
"Shaye, please, sit down" He whined, "Keith" Shaye snapped, her silver eyes flashing. She carefully made her way to the door, poking her head out to see Xayden and his friends in the pool with Aren. She felt a lot better seeing Xayden, but it did nothing to take her pain away.
"Xayden?" She called softly, wanting to see him, even if it was for a moment.
"Shaye" Keith whined again, looking desperately at Aren.

Iggy raised his head as Keith came downstairs, he looked disorientated, and upon Keith calling his name, he growled, "Go away." Keith came in anyways, and he winced as the older vampire touched him, even if it was a kind hug. He observed Keith quietly as the vampire stared at Vaix's limp body, then started to plead he bring Vaix back. The whole two wrongs don't make a right speech. He let his chin rest against Keith and he sighed softly, but it was when Keith talked about Xayden that he truly gave in. He knew Xayden's situation better than most, were as Shaye and Vaix suffered from bad parenting, he'd suffered the lacking of a father and a mother entirely, but yet, known them well enough to miss them terribly when they left. He wouldn't make Xayden go through that. He gave a soft nod, watching as Keith stood and left. He sighed again, and looked at Vaix's limp body, "I guess I can forgive you. You'll be a different man when you get back, and if we keep Raven out of your way, you'll probably won't get attached to her at all. Maybe you won't hate me anymore too..." He stood and wandered over, careful of the chalk circle and he took a seat on Vaix's stomach. "You're going to have some interesting stories to tell us when you get back." He lifted his head as he heard Shaye come stumbling down, looking for Xayden. He sighed softly, stood, and left the basement. He'd end her pain.

Aren had grabbed towels, and was sitting in the lounger by the pool, making sure Xayden didn't get carried away, and that everyone was being safe. Xayden had seemed to temporarily forget his troubles with his friends over, and seemed to be having a good time. He jumped as he heard Shaye's voice and looked over, wincing at the sight of her and standing instantly. He exchanged a stare with Keith, and watched as Xayden scrambled out of the pool, but there really wasn't anything he could do besides watch the other two boys. "Xayden will just be a sec," he muttered with a smile. "Carry on," and the two boys did. He took his seat in the lounger again, watching both scenes out of the corners of his eyes.
Xayden scrambled out of the pool and ran to his mother, stopping inches away from her to look up at her with extremely worried eyes. "Mommy? What's wrong? You're hurt." He pointed to the small amounts of blood on her shirt. "Is someone beating you up?" He looked extremely worried, and glanced over as Iggy wandered over slowly.
"Shaye," he muttered softly, "How are you?"

Shaye knelt wrapping her arms around her son, pressing him against her, despite him being soaking wet.
"No baby, no one beat me up, I cut myself" Shaye said softly, "It was all an accident" She kissed the top of his head, dragging her eyes up as Iggy came upstairs.
"You can answer that question yourself Iggy. I know you can feel it" She said, wincing again and trying to hold herself together for Xayden. She sighed, returning her attention to her son.
"Are you having fun?" She asked, feeling the anxiety that both Keith and Aren were experiencing. She sighed, "Iggy, how much longer?" She asked softly, she couldn't take this, the pain, everything, it was killing her. She knew she was still attatched to Vaix, because she could feel him, and she knew he felt her, which was awful, but also good, because he knew he'd ahve someone to come home to. She wasn't about to let Xayden know what was going on, but she was sure he knew something was wrong.
"Did you guys have your pizza yet?" Shaye asked, trying to distract her son from everything, she wanted him to enjoy his first sleepover after all.

Xayden frowned as he mother said she'd cut herself. Maybe that's why she'd screamed? He doubted it. He smiled up at his mother as she talked about Pizza and fun. "No, we haven't had Pizza yet. But I am having lots of fun." He beamed up at his mother, then looked at Iggy, who was smiling. He smiled back and ran over to him, wrapping his arms around him. "Iggy, you came back! Where's Daddy?"
Iggy shrugged, "He's falling a bit behind, but he'll be home shortly." He watched Xayden nod and looked up at Shaye with a sigh at her question. "I'm ready when you are. I'd like your company if possible." He didn't want to state reasons in front of Xayden, but he didn't want to be the first thing Vaix made contact with. He doubted he'd survive because Vaix would react one of two ways. One, he'd be so emotionally shaken he'd curl up in a corner and not talk for a week, or two, he'd be pushed into survival mode and try to kill anything he sees, especially Iggy. Having Shaye around would be good for both responses, so he didn't plan to do the summon without her. He smiled lightly to Xayden, "Your friends are missing you Xayden." That was all it took for Xayden to take a flying leap back into the pool.
Iggy wandered over to Shaye and wrapped his arms around her, laying his head on her shoulder and letting out a calm breath, smiling contently as he was balanced between his own sorrow, and the sorrow around him. "Come on Shaye," he muttered softly, "let's bring him back...you can come too, if you want Keith, or just hang around out here with Aren. I'm sure he wouldn't mind." He watched Aren shake his head and smiled softly, taking Shaye's hand and leading her towards the basement.

Shaye sighed, kissing her son, nearly chocking as she heard him ask about Vaix.
"He'll be home soon" She said softly, watching Xayden rush back into the pool, a small sigh on escaping her. She glanced up as Iggy wrapped his arms around her, nodding. She stood, letting Iggy lead her inside.
"I'll stay here, give Aren a hand" He said contently, smiling at Shaye,
"Go help Iggy get your fiancee" He said, kissing her cheek and watching the two of them wander inside.
"C'mon Iggy" Shaye said, walking downstairs and sitting on Iggy's bed. She was worried sick about Vaix, and was wondering if maybe it was the best idea to send Xayden back to Aren's house, just so he wouldn't have to see his father how he'd be. Though, with his friends here, she'd have to manage. She sighed, they'd just have to keep Vaix away from them.

Keith sat down next to Aren, sighing sadly.
"I can't believe how much Xayden's grown" He said, watching the boys. "He must be what, nine now?" He sighed, having only seen Xayden once, it had been hard to leave, and now he knew he'd miss most of his childhood, thanks to the deal he'd make with Raven. He wondered how to even make the contract, make sure that everything worked out.

Iggy nodded to Keith, still smiling lightly, trying to keep himself under control, though, with three happy kids, and three unhappy adults, he was pretty content, it was his own sorrow that pushed him more into a positive area.
He wandered with Shaye downstairs to his room, Vaix where he'd left him, the circle untouched, good. He'd been a bit worried bout the whole chalk thing. He watched Shaye sit on his bed and sighed, stretching and taking his book before muttering, "Okay, first things first. Do not mess up the circle in anyway, no matter your need to be with your soul mate. Wait until I tell you it's safe to see him, or you'll screw him over. Second, I don't know how he's going to react, other than I know he won't be happy, especially with me. He'll either be extremely aggressive, or extremely skittish. So let him make the first move for our safety. I'm sorry Shaye, but he might not remember you for a bit because of how torment works in hell, from beginning to end, just like life. You happened at the end of his life, so he probably wouldn't have seen you yet. Nevertheless, because of your connection, you don't have to worry about him hurting you..." He paused, thinking a moment. "I also suggest we keep him downstairs until Xayden's friends leave. Kids don't like the dark, we have a lesser chance of them seeing him. Agreed?"
He smiled at Shaye, and paced around the circle, double checking to make sure nothing was smudged or fractured with great care. The circle was the most important step, and he didn't want to talk about the accidents that could happen with an ill-drawn circle. Vaix only getting half his soul, split personalities, improper brain function, death again. It was nasty.

Aren smiled , stood, and pulled up a lounger for Keith as well before taking his own seat again. He chuckled at Keith's comment and muttered, "I think Shaye mentioned he was ten, actually. But I'm not a hundred percent sure. He's somewhere along those lines, anyways.... You've seen him once before right? When he was an infant?"
Aren glanced at Keith, but made sure to keep a proper eye on the boys. Xayden was doing well, he was a great swimmer, even if he still used water wings for a lack of swimming lessons. They needed to stop relying on Iggy to teach him, there was a lot Xayden needed to know in a short period of time, to catch up with his 'peers'.
Aren frowned, then glanced at Keith, "At what age did you find my sister?" He could only hope it was a young age, but he had a feeling it was only something like a couple or so years.

Shaye looked sadly at Iggy but nodded. She wasn't sure how she'd responded to Vaix not remembering her, but she'd bear it if she must.
"Okay" She said, wrapping her arms around her knees and staring at Vaix's body sadly. She hoped he did know her, she still felt him, in her heart, and hoped maybe that connection would keep his memories of her intact. She didn't bother to mention this to Iggy, he didn't seem to understand the soulmate thing, so he might break her only hope with logic. She sighed, staring at Vaix's face, oddly enough, he looked relaxed, like he were sleeping. She winced, shaking her head and sighing, looking miserably at Iggy.
"Hurry" She murmured softly.

Keith sighed, "Yea, just a kid" He said, looking at Xayden, "Infant, I dunno, three months maybe a bit older. He seems to remember me as 'Keith the kitty' or some nonesense" He chuckled, watching Xayden. He winced, looking at Aren sadly.
"Sixteen" He murmured, "Lying face down in a back alley, beaten to hell" He sighed, "She was so messed up" He knew Aren didn't know this, but he had the right to know.

Iggy nodded at Shaye agreed to his terms, he saw her worry and sighed, guessing it must be the won't remember you part. "Don't worry Shaye, he will remember you eventually." With that Iggy stopped in one of the open sections up the circle the book in one hand, his other hand raised as he repeated foreign words and the circle began to glow a bright red, and a sharp gust of wind, that seemed to generate from the circle's base, the only distinguishable words he spoke were the ones he said at the end, "I give blood for blood." To which then he bite his wrist and let drops of blood fall on Vaix's face. The circle exploded into wind and red light, Iggy stumbled back, and watched in awe as the body was lifted upright, eyes open and glowing a solid red colour, suddenly the mouth opened, a breath was sucked in, and everything died as if nothing had happened. The chalk circle was gone, and Vaix's body was dropped like useless luggage. But the body was different, he had his wings, his horns, and tail, his half open eyes were reddish, and whatever movement he made was clumsy and ill planned. He forced himself to sit up and let his eyes flicker around the room while he sway.
Iggy swallowed and muttered to Shaye, "You can see him if you want..."

Aren nodded at the mention of Xayden, "You missed a lot of growth then." Though he fell silent at the mention of Shaye. His eyes became extremely sad, and he muttered, "Oh, Sixteen...how, how was she messed up?" He didn't want to know really, but he couldn't help it. It was his fault, he had the right to know what she'd been through.

Shaye watched what was going on, horrified. She wasn't sure what to make of it, she didn't want to watch, but she couldn't pull her eyes away. The pain in her chest swelled and then dulled immensely as she watched Vaix.
"O-Okay" She murmured softly, standing for a moment, swaying. She looked at Vaix, eyes blinking back tears. She approached her soulmate slowly, stepping towards him and kneeling down.
"Vaix?" She murmured softly, hesitantly resting a hand on his shoulder.
"Vaix love?" She looked at him with flickering silver eyes, hoping he understood who she was, but fearing he wouldn't.

Keith sighed, "Well, I dunno how to describe it, but let's just say to this day she has night terrors. She hasn't slept an entire night since I've known her, without having them" He sighed, "The first week we had her, she tried to run away multiple times' He sighed, "She was terrified from Iggy, I dunno, if you so much as raised your voice, not even in anger, she'd flinch, hide" He sighed, "She'd never had her own room, slept with me, like a child, for a year" He sighed softly.

Iggy'd taken to hiding in a corner, he didn't want to be noticed first, but it seemed with Shaye in front of Vaix, it wouldn't be a problem. He was still cautious however about the reaction Vaix would give once he did see him.
Vaix's pinky blue toned eyes swept over his surrounds again and again, as if he couldn't process it all. He'd swallow occasionally, take in all the scents, he continued to sway, but his eyes locked on the figure that had knelt in front of him. Beautiful was the first thing that entered his mind, the confused, scared looking eyes stared at her as if he was also having difficulty processing her. He flinched as she touched him, parted his mouth as if he wanted to hiss, but he didn't. He liked her, something about her calmed him, and the pain in his heart was gone. He looked even more confused, more concerned about where he was and what was going on. He swallowed again, and let out a pathetic sounding whimper as he started to tremble at her touch, though his swaying had stopped at her support.
She knew his name, she'd said it a couple times now. "W-Where am I?" He breathed to her, "Raven? Where's Raven?" Scared eyes flickered around the room like a lost child, "She just disappeared..." His head whipped around to look at Shaye again, and once again he swallowed, trembled. He knew her, he knew he did. From somewhere...his past maybe? Past...Future...it was all the same now. "Where's Raven?" He choked, scared. His eyes rested on Iggy and hardened. "You..."
Large demonic fangs bared, his face hardened to a menacing glare, and his wings perked and unfurled halfway as if to make himself appear bigger.
"Iggy," he hissed, "You murdering little bastard. I'll kill you!" So Iggy'd finally made it to hell had he? Good. He stood, swaying, fear replaced with hate in seconds, as he took shaky steps towards him. "What have you done with her?!" he bellowed.
Iggy whimpered and curled up tighter in the corner.

Aren winced to hear about that, her having nightmares...even after Drake helped her? So that's what had been wrong, terrible nightmares about her foster parents hurting her. He sighed at the running away thing about her having taken sleeping in Keith's room for a whole year. Finally, when he finished, Aren seemed to be on the verge of tears, though he'd never cry in front of the boys. He held his mouth instead and muttered softly, "Oh... Then...I'm very grateful she met you, and that she's so happy now, with her family. I'm glad you don't all hate me, though I'd understand if you did. I-I just can't believe it....Those people...they-" he didn't reply, just shook his head and sighed. "Sorry, it's just hard for me to hear... She got better though, right?"
