He pulled her too him suddenly.
"Next time I tell you something, listen" He said, his voice filled with emotion as he crushed her to him. Never in his life had he been so scared, so worried about someone. He pressed his face into her hair, his breath catching in his throat. He couldn't cry, he was incapable, but if he could he would have been sobbing.
"Never again" He whispered, his voice muffled against her hair.

"I did listen." She said. She gasped from surprise as he pulled her into him, but allowed him to, knowing that she wouldn't be able to get away if she wanted. She pressed her face against his chest. He was taller than she was, he always had been. He grew faster than Scarlette had when they were growing up. She sighed against his chest. "I'm so sorry I scared you." She said. "I didn't mean to get into any trouble." She was talking, but she was pretty sure her voice was mostly muffled by the fabric of his tee shirt. A traitor tear rolled down her cheek, catching quickly in his shirt. She took in a deep breath and noted that, like always, he smelled amazing.

He smelt the tear more then saw it, feeling it staining his shirt. He tilter her head up, using his thumb to brush the tear away a small frown on his face.
"Just please, listen to me" He said, a small frown on his face as he once again crushed her to him.
"Come on, do you still wan't to check Romeo? Or should I escort you to your room?" He asked, reluctant to let her go again. She was his, or atleast it felt like it. He glanced down at her, his voice catching.
"Scarlette?"

"I try," she said, licking her lips softly. "I want to check on Romeo. " She said, biting her bottom lip. She looked up at him, he was saying her name. "Yes?"

He took a deep, shuddering voice.
"I-I love you" He breathed, feeling as if something was constricting around his heart. He didn't want her to go to the barn yet, he knew neither Demitri or Keegan had fed at all, and he had a feeling that she could get very hurt in the barn right now.
"Let me check on Romeo?" He asked, his eyes filled with emotion, begging her not to go out there.

Scarlette gave him a small, but loving smile. "I love you too." She said softly, her skin tingling where ever he touched her. "Bu-b-bu." she started to protest, then sighed, seeing every emotion swirling in his eyes. "Okay. I'll see him tomorrow though." She said, looking at him. "Just make sure he's okay. Check on Olive and Popeye for me too, please." She said with a small smile.

Adrian felt as if a huge weight had been lifted off of his shoulders.
He grinned a dazzling smile and tilted her chin up again, pressing his lips lightly to her's.
"Ug" He muttered as he pulled away, yanking off his shirt. He could still scent the other vampire on it, and he couldn't handle that scent right now. He discarded the shirt, his strong, well muscled, yet scared body shining a bit in the light.
"Ug" He muttered, shaking his head in disgust, he hated the scars, he felt that they disfigured him.

"Hmmm..." Scarlette's eye lit up. "I love you." She smiled as she said it happily. "You going to strip more?" she teased, smiling brightly.

Adrian growled at her.
"Ha" He muttered, scooping her into his arms and walking down the hall to her chambers.
"So you're okay with me being a vampire and all?" He asked in a hushed voice. He still wasn't pleased about all the scars, especially the one that ran diagonal from his shoulder to his hip bone. It had been the first wound he had ever recieved in battle, and he hated it. It was thick, and ropey, pushing out from his skin, obscene in his opinon.

Scarlette giggled and then gave him the puppy dog face, but then gasped as he scooped her up. "What else are you?" she asked. "Because you said and all." Then she grimaced. "Okay. See. This is why everyone in the castle hates me. I constantly pick on people," then she covered her mouth. "And babble. But yes. I'm perfectly fine with it." She said, nodding, seriousness returning.

"Okay" He said, a bit confused after her babbling. He really was a dumb jock, or so he was told. He walked down the hall, earning many scandalous expressions from the castle maids and servants.
"Oh gods" He breathed laughing as a maid went so far as to shake her duster at him.
"I'm never going to be allowed in her again" He said, shaking his head and kissing the top of her's as he reached her chambers.
"Alright, here we are" He opened the door and walked inside, still holding her.
"Sheesh" He said, wrinkling his nose teasingly. The room practically screamed princess at him.

Scarlette laughed. "Wrong room." She teased. "I switched with Gabby while you guys were gone. Saraya and I have bigger rooms now." She smiled. "It's a common mistake."

"Ah, well then princess, where is this new room?" He asked, stepping back into the corridor and ignoring the glances of the help. Sighing he started down the hall, not ready to handle the looks. He knew it was a combonation of his sacred body and the fact that he was carrying a royal princess.
"Tell me?" He begged, He hated being in the lime light.

Scarlette giggled again. "Right here," she said, pointing to a polished oak door they were coming upon. She smiled at him. "I mean it this time."

"You better" Adrian muttered, pushing the door open, a small smile on his face.
"This is much better" He commented, the room was more normal, and a lot less pink.

Scarlette glanced around her room, sighing contently at it's homeiness. Her mother despised it. Said it looked more like a vampire cave then a princess' room. But, honestly, who did Scarlette care. She didn't care what her mother said. She blinked up at him, smiling.

Adrian placed her on the bed before straightening and walking around.
"Hm, I like it" He said, feeling comfortable. He sighed, "I suppose I better go check on Romeo and the others hey?" He said, leaning against the window, the air cold on his bare back.

Scarlette smiled, glancing around her room. "It's great, isn't it?" She sighed and the air blew on her face. "Please do." She said.

Adrian nodded and hopped lightly out of the window, landing lightly on the grass. Before this would have killed him, and now all it did was hurt his back. He sighed and made his way to the stable a small smile on his face.

Scarlette watched him go, then looked down at her slightly shredded clothes.

Adrian walked into the stable, opening the door and shutting it behind him slowly.
"Hey guys" He called, sighing as the scent of horses assulted him. He took a deep breath and made his way to Romeo's pen, checking the stallion over carefully. Thankfully he was fine, and it look liked Demitri had already cleaned his pen.

"Hey" Demitri called, standing up and walking over to his brother.
"Woah" He breathed, turning Adrian and examining his back.

Keegan winced, standing. "Wow." He watched Adrian's face. "Why are you walking around shirtless?" Keegan teased. "What did Scarlette make you do?" he raised his eyebrows, trying to lighten the mood, hoping Adrian and Demitri would go with it also.

Scarlette turned over, watching out the window, seeing the stars blink unharmously. She yawned, knowing it was very early in the morning sometime, rolled over, and closed her eyes. She quickly fell asleep, she brown hair falling in front of her face.

Adrian grimaced. "I had to take it off, it stank, and was covered in blood" He said, sticking his tounge out at Keegan.
He sighed, "Have you guys checked on Olive and Popeye?" He asked, wanting nothing more then to crawl into his bed. Losing blood had taken a lot out of him.

Demitri sighed, whistling softly, his brother back looked bad.
"Not yet, but I can do that for you" He offered, seeing Adrian's greatful smile.

Keegan smiled. "How is she?" Keegan asked, blinking at him.

"Fine, sleeping" Adrian replied, leaning against a post, wincing, cursing and pulling away.
"Better then me" He said, shaking his head.
