Lunch [1x1] Empty
PostSubject: Lunch [1x1]   Lunch [1x1] I_icon_minitimeFri Jun 18, 2010 7:36 pm

Disagreements between humans and vampires have always been high, but the arguments reach an all time high when a vampire takes a human for a servant. The vampire claims that they wish not to kill the servant, but the humans have learned to not trust the actions of vampires and for good reason. This vampire intends to use the human as not only lunch but to start a war between the human and vampire races. However once the vampire takes the human in they change their mind, becoming attached to the human, allowing the human to stay with them, pretending to still be a servant. They however are not allowed to leave the house, as the vampire starts to think that the servant is going to run off.

I'd prefer to be the human. I kept the plot genderless because it doesn't matter to me.

Also I type slow, and I haven't RP in a while but I prefer Semi Lit. =]

Nor me. ^_^ Mind you, I find it harder to play a darker vampire when it's female.
Assuming a darker toned vampire is needed for the plot. =) So I'd probably make it male to make it easier on myself. XD

Lol, my Bios are pathetic. -_-" They're rediculously short and undetailed, so I usually have to do an intro after it anyways. I prefer to stick to intros now-a-days. Would you mind posting your itro first? So I can follow your lead?
Oh! Btw, basic lore question. Vampire lore? Is it the Twilight deal, or traditional vampire lore, cutting the glaric and bat crap? XP

Ah yes I should have thought about that before i posted up the RP. I'd rather not go Twilighty.

I tend to favor tradition. ;P
Though I generally change the sunlight deal to a sensitivity. So they get sunburn easily and worse than a human.

As for how one changes in to a vampire, I game for either Blood Sharing or Biting.

So can choose those since your the vampire. You can make it up if you wanted =]

Working on my intro now =]

Lunch [1x1] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Lunch [1x1]   Lunch [1x1] I_icon_minitimeFri Jun 18, 2010 9:37 pm

It was dark, and she was glad for the sliver of the moon so she didn’t have to rely on the vampire to push her down the path. It was clear too, a good day for star gazing but she was afraid to ask if they could stop and watch the stars. She had an idea of what a vampire could do, but it was vague. You knew what your heard, words get distorted along the grapevine. She wasn’t going to run, nor was she going to deny the vampires word to house her if she worked for him.
Her step faltered slightly as a cool breeze, rippled through the grass, brushing her dirty tanned face, tossing her long, ink black hair behind her. She again wanted to stop and enjoy the breeze, and was half why to stopping when she remembered who was following behind her, and what he wanted.
Grey eyes gazed upon the house that she was now to work in. It was not anywhere close to being modest. Intricate patterns ran across the oak double doors, and its frame. The outside walls solid stone, polished and gleaming. The female frowned, she was from the low end of town. Which may have been the point of the vampire taking her for a servant and not a high class citizen. She had a family, but she lived on the streets and in the slums you fought for your own life before others. She tried not to be that way but life style wires your brain to think differently. They weren’t going to miss her. Wonder, but not miss.
The female’s bare feet walked up the cobblestone, to the patio. She became unsure of whether to walk up to the door and open it herself or to wait for the vampire to invite her in. She stopped on the stairs and looked back behind her uneasily playing with the hem of her torn navy blue shirt before shoving her hands into her jean pockets, to keep them still. She was told that she was going to receive new clothes and she figured it was going to be something frilly. An odd look came over her face as the idea came back to her mind. It faded quickly, leaving her face quiet.

ooc: Okays! ...btw just to check? Roughly, what the time period in the rp? Like, were cars around? Wireless communication? Etc...
bic;
A pale, cold hand would push the girl along whenever she faltered. Easily distracted it seemed. How nice. She had a sort of innocence about her he'd been drawn too. It was the slaughter of innocence that got things started after all. The tragedy got the stone rolling. He was unbothered by the stars, the moon, or the gust of chilled wind that swept the girls hair back in his face. Many, many years of immortality had dulled his interest in such matters. He would however, out of pure instinct, look at whatever the girl did to make sure it wasn't something that bothered or interested him. It was unlikely anything would, because right now, the girl had stolen his undivided attention.
A pair of green, glowing, nocturnal eyes reflected the moon as he followed the girl's gaze to his home. Once again, nothing that interested him to terribly. Same old house, same old everything. But the girl would change that, one way or another, she'd bring something new to his life. Mortals were interesting creatures after not being one of them for centuries. He'd almost completely forgotten his past life at this point. A diet of blood was all he'd believed to know, an the idea of ever eating something other was a mere distant memory. Like everything else, the worth of the lives of a mortal had dulled. To the point where killing to eat was like slaughtering a cow, he had no conscience over it.
He watched the girl as she halted on the patio, he hung his head as if it were no part of himself, head twisted to let his green eyes watch her from under the mass of mid-length, healthy-looking, chestnut-brown hair. Nothing else was acknowledged as he opened one of the doors and lifted his pale palm to signal she enter before him.
Since their meeting, they hadn't spoken. It was another thing he'd lost ability in. Socialization. Oh sure, he could talk. In fact, he had a very fluent, colourful vocabulary. He just wasn't good at conversation, he preferred to remain silent. Always had, at least, he thought so... It didn't matter, didn't interest him either. He stopped in the main hall, putting a chilled hand to her shoulder and twisting her to look at him instead of having her back face him. He observed her a moment, then finally spoke in his smooth, almost comforting voice.
"Why don't you clean up, then get yourself out of those garments and into something...more appropriate?" The corner of his mouth pulled to a smile, but it disappeared as swiftly as it came. He pointed a skinny finger to the door that lead to the bathroom, which hadn't been used in years, except by others that had served him, or when he'd gotten sick and needed somewhere to expel rotten lunch or something like that. "Don't leave the property, or I end you. Do you understand?" He patted her shoulder, then turned and wandered off to get her something to wear.

Lunch [1x1] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Lunch [1x1]   Lunch [1x1] I_icon_minitimeFri Jun 18, 2010 11:20 pm

((BAH! sorry i forgot this initially. I was thinking modern day.))
She nodded slightly seeing his hand gesture, though she was unsure of why she nodded, she could have easily gotten the point that she understood but walking past him and into the house. She was unable to hold off a sigh as she moved from outside to inside. She lived outside, it was going to be difficult to adjust to being confined. But at least she wasn’t going to get wet in the spring rain that was said to be rolling in tomorrow. She shuttered instantly feeling claustrophobic when the door closed.
Her mind was easily taken away from phobia as she glanced around at the entrance hall. Her eyes drifting from the stone floor, looking at the varying types of stone to the patterns on the wall to the paintings. She couldn’t help but smile slightly at the fine things that he had, that she would only dream of, but she didn’t dare step out of line to observe the fine details.
She flinched and tensed, he hadn’t hurt her she was just not expecting the vampire to take her shoulder to turn her around.
“Sorry.” She murmured, she hadn’t intended to react like that, who else could it of been? She gazed up at him entranced by his green eyes---or his beauty in general, and then his voice. It calmed her more then one would think that it should. It was no wonder why so many had fallen to the enchantment of vampire. She laughed quietly in her head. That was her now wasn’t it? Servant to a creature of the night, or that’s what he had said that she was going to be. Maybe he was going to kill her. Either way it didn’t really matter.
She caught his smile, she didn’t quite like what she thought that it may have meant. But she answered promptly enough.
“Yes, sir.” She said, almost spryly. As could be expected from a teenage girl who lived on the streets. If she had the choice she would be clean but she didn’t. The water ran brown in the slums anyway. She broke her gaze with him to follow his finger to the door. She nodded slightly. She nodded more vigorously at his comment about leave. “Wouldn’t dream of it, sir.” Her voice was completely serious though the statement in essence was sarcastic.
Her feet shuffled across the floor towards the bathroom. She walked inside and was about to raise her shirt over her head when she realized that she had not gotten a pair of clothes. Stripping and waiting for him wouldn’t be decent here either. Lowering her shirt she turned and opened the door. She lent against the frame staring out the window as she waited.

PostSubject: Re: Lunch [1x1]   Lunch [1x1] I_icon_minitimeSat Jun 19, 2010 5:25 pm

Ooc: okays. ^_^ ps. Sorry for the lack of replying, I hadn't the time to give a good reply earlier. X)
bic;

He'd left already, he'd been gone before the girl had even entered the room. His movements were evenly paced, elegant, with an unexplainable ease and grace. Nothing about him made any noise, any anything. If he did breath, it was far, far to soft to hear, only the faintest gust of wind as he passed you would ever alert you of his passing by. He was walking as always, but there was something about the smoothness of his movements that allowed him to gain distance in little effort. Not even his shoes had time to make noise as they hit the floor before he'd needed it's assistance once more.
It would be quite the search finding her some clothes, being male, he had many male clothes, but he relied on the clothes of his past servants to supply him with any feminine wear. He hoped it wasn't too out of fashion. He had things in this building so old a mortal couldn't even count the years.
He expected the girl to already be preparing her bath, maybe already in the bath, that was fine. He had no intentions of opening the bathroom door. He'd leave the clothes in front of it for her.
'Sorry' he was still amused at that. She'd apologised for his having to redirect her. In a house that some one could easily get lost in. She apologised for having to be frightened at his touch, when he was the undead monster that wanted her drink. He smiled another partial smile. Silly Girl. He was far, far more tolerant then she seemed to think of him. But then again, she had had the guts to give him sarcasm, and he gave her his respect for that. Not many people gave sarcastic remarks to vampires afterall.
He came to an old bedroom he'd given ownership to the last mortal to work for him. He opened the dust covered drawer, and pulled out a dress, examined it, then shrugged. "He'd find her something better later. For now, it was the best he had, however out of fashion it was. How the years flew by these days.
He strolled along back towards the bathroom. He wasn't greeted with the smell of warm water as he'd expected, or a shut door. He was greeted by the gaze of the girl that waited for him in the door frame. He stopped walking, like a deer in the headlights. He watched her, and let his head hang again as he wandered towards her in the same dark manner as before. Once again, a sign of his own lack of social skill. He straightened himself up as he came closer to her however, dropping the dress, shoes, and fabric collar necklace, the older maiden had worn it to help deter him to bite, in her waiting hands and muttered, "My apologies to the clothes. I don't know your size, and it's all I have for you currently."
Deep green eyes continued to stare at him from the dark, seeing as how he didn't really use much lighting, and for a while again he was silent, before finally muttering, "Call me when you finish. I'll escort you to your room. Take your time in the bath, as long as you'd like. It's of no concern to me if you spend ten minutes, or three days in there. I'll be in there," he pointed to the room up and across a ways. "It's my library," he muttered, "lord only knows how much dust that place holds. I'm glad to finally have someone around to help me clean the old house."
He didn't look glad, in fact, he looked bored. He looked entirely dependant of the girl's amusing him by struggling to reach the higher shelves, or scrapping dirt of the windows, and when she got boring, he'd eat her. Simple as that. Then she'd roll the stone all right. He wouldn't be bored for a long while after her death.

Lunch [1x1] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Lunch [1x1]   Lunch [1x1] I_icon_minitimeSat Jun 19, 2010 7:32 pm

((No worries =D))
The girl’s eyes drifted away from the window when she registered that the vampire had come back. He was paused, and looked a bit surprised. She straitened up, suddenly looking flustered. She saw how he had looked, and thought she had done something wrong that had thrown him off.
“I’m sorry, sir. I-I just though that you would rather me wait for you to come back. Then to start.” She said quietly looking down a the floor, playing with the hem of her shirt again, “I didn’t want to make anything awkward. Sorry.”
She accepted the clothes that the vampire had brought for her. She looked at them for a moment, but didn’t acknowledge whether or not she like them, if the style was funky, or the size. She looked up. They would be to big she was sure, that didn’t really matter, or she assumed that it wouldn’t as she was only taking street clothing into consideration. Not dresses. She just smiled, “Thank you. They look good.” She meant it, even though she couldn’t really see it what it looked like because of how it was folded. It was the same blue as her shirt.
She craned her body so she could see were he was pointing at. Her eyes glittered when he said that it was a library. “You like to read then?” She said absentmindedly. She instantly wanted to take it back, knowing that she wasn’t exactly in the place to be asking those kinds of questions. She attempted to divert away from the question by answering one of his statements. “I know it doesn’t look like it, but I do like to clean.” She laughed quietly, in a nervous fashion.
She turned and retreated into the bathroom, closing the door with her foot. She set the clothing that vampire had given her on the counter top, before she stripped her clothes off and moved over the shower. She fiddled the handle of the shower, turning it to the red. She hopped in, sighing softly at the warm water, and laughing quietly at all the dirt that was washing off into the water. Although this was luxury to her, she still cleaned up quickly unable to shake her public bathing habits. In and out; as fast as humanly possible. It took her around 20 minutes, since she was allowed soaps and it took her a while to figure out which ones were for what.
She dried off quickly and tackled putting the clothes that the vampire had given her. She fought endlessly with the undergarments because it was not what she was accustomed to. Once she had figured that out she put the dress on, it was a cocktail dress, navy blue, with an empire waist. There was a problem though. The zipper. She fought with it trying to get it up but her self, but gave up and walked over to the door and opened it. “Sir, I need your help.” She was unhappy that she was going to have to ask him to zip the dress up because her arms refused to bend that way.

Lunch [1x1] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Lunch [1x1]   Lunch [1x1] I_icon_minitimeSat Jun 19, 2010 9:20 pm

The corner of the vampire's mouth raised in another smile, he couldn't remember ever smiling so much in one day, but the girl's innocence amused him. The countless sorrys she produced over such petty matters. She needed to be careful about that, cause there may come a time she'd need to say a real apology, and by then the word would have lost meaning to him.
He merely grunted as she complimented the old clothes, but glanced up at her as she asked about his reading. It was more her reaction to her own question that amused him than the question. He shifted his weight from one foot to the other as she tried to cover teh question up with a statement on cleaning. "Well, that's good. You'll be doing lots of it in your first week or so here. Please don't be afraid to call me if you get lost. I've lost so many servants that way, of course I find them eventually, in one form or the other." The amusement in his eye sparkled momentarily before he added, "I don't read. I chronicle my years. I make the things people read, always have. Enjoy your shower, or bath, or whatever method you intend to wash yourself with." Then he turned and left her too it.
He'd been in the middle of thinking when the girl had called him. He sucked in a breath in temporary frustration, then stood and wandered to the door, opening it and standing in the frame as he watched her linger by the bathroom. Green eyes glowed by the faint candle light in the library. He picked up on her mild distress, and like a moth to a beckon, wandered over to her. "My help?" he asked calmly. He examined her in her new outfit, it looked a bit big, and he noticed the way she had to hold it up, odd considering the way the dress was supposed to cling to the body. He understood her need as he clued in. His green eyes gleamed more amusement, he placed a hand on her shoulder and spun her so her back faced him. The zipper was drawn with one smooth movement of his wrist, and he muttered with a full out smile in her ear, "You're going to have to find a way to do up teh dress yourself you know. I can't come over every morning to do up your dress." He touched the snug fabric collar on her neck. It had the faintest smell of the servant that had previously worn it, and himself when he'd teased her for wearing it by drawing his tongue over the side of her neck he'd normally bite.
He pulled back completely, even took a couple steps away from her and muttered, "You don't have to work this evening. I'd prefer you took you time to try and understand the house today, and worked tomorrow. Alright? Shall we see your room?" The smile had long since departed, and he signaled with another elegant palm for her to walk with him.

Lunch [1x1] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Lunch [1x1]   Lunch [1x1] I_icon_minitimeSat Jun 19, 2010 10:07 pm

She shuttered took a single step forward as if she was uncomfortable with him being that close to her. “I will sir.” She said quickly, embarrassed that she hand to even ask. Stupid zippers and their impossible ways. Who ever though of them being on the back of the dress either never had to wear them or had a maid to do it for them. She looked down at the dress content with it now. It was still a bit big but it was at least going to stay on now. She noticed something else, She hadn’t put the shoes that he had given her on. She sighed quietly at the thought of wearing them. She smoothed the dress and walked took a few steps forward so she could swipe the shoes off of the floor. She turned around and walked back to where she was standing before, using the door frame to steady herself as she slid the shoes over her feet, discomforted almost immediately.
“I’ll try not to bother you to much as I’m finding my way around.” She said, “I guess it’s a good thing that I learn layouts quickly.” though quickly was not instantly, so she would still need help for a while. She hoped that she wasn’t going to have to bother him to much, She smiled at her own thought. “Though if I clean rooms in order I’ll know which way to go.”
She nodded, “Lead the way.” She waited until he had started walking before she said anything more. “Sir. Do you want me to keep calling you sir or..?” As she spoke she kept track of the doors that they had passed and where they turned so she could at least get from her room to the bathroom.

Lunch [1x1] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Lunch [1x1]   Lunch [1x1] I_icon_minitimeSat Jun 19, 2010 11:18 pm

"However you want to go about learning my home, it's fine with me." He muttered to her calmly, "just know there are three floors, a basement, the ground level, and the upstairs. I guess there's four floors if you count the one room attic on top of the second floor, But I've not been up there in so long, I don't care if you never go up there."
He continued on his way with her at his side, his strides long and silent as always. Casual to him, though to a mortal, and to the girl, you'd probably need a bit of a pip in your step to keep pace with him as he weaved expertly through the maze of halls and rooms. Taking shortcuts occasionally to get to their location faster, there was no doubt in his mind that he'd already gotten teh girl lost. But he didn't mind. He'd get her unlost if he had too, something to do besides write about his day.
He glanced her way momentarily as she asked him for his name. He shrugged passively and answered, "I should be asking you the same question shouldn't I? I, myself, don't care what you call me, so long as it's appropriate. My real name is Roscuro Andreas Draq, call me by whatever part of my name you wish, or just sir. It really doesn't matter to me either way. So long as you decide that's what you'll call me from now on, so I don't get confused. Now, what is your name?"
He stopped suddenly as he arrived at their location. Standing in front of a dark wooden door, expertly carved and crafted like the rest of the house. He shoved the door open without the slightest care and stepped aside to allow the girl access to the room. He followed her shortly afterwards. pacing a bit as if he were lost, then examining the room as if for the first time before stating, "I'm sorry for the condition. It needs TLC, but nothing a wash or two can't fix."
The room was coated in thick layers of dust, the room looked untouched, expect when he'd entered earlier to give her some clothes. The dresser was the only touched thing, two of three perfect prints of his fingers and hands were he'd grabbed the drawer to pull it open to bring her clothing. But besides that, the room was covered in a gray snow that prickled at his sensitive nose. Not that it was surprising, it was the first time he'd been here in a long, long time.
"This room used to belong to the former servant who worked here. She died in 1934 of old age and minor heart problems. Everything here is her's, now yours. Do what you want with it. Do you need anything else before I leave you be?" He shifted restlessly from foot to foot. Green eyes watching her from under his mod of brown hair. He was roughly no older than his early twenties, and he had a hunch that clearly gave him away as anti-social, a total creature of the night. Nevertheless, it didn't stop his charm from taking hold of the opposite gender, drawing people in to trust him, maybe even care about him in ways he could never return or even acknowledge due to teh stone that coated his heart after so many year of being coated in blood and death.

Lunch [1x1] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Lunch [1x1]   Lunch [1x1] I_icon_minitimeSun Jun 20, 2010 2:33 pm

((Sorry I didn't reply last night. I remembered that I had to work in the morning X]
and for not replying faster. I was doing a puzzle and then realized that I didn't log off and that you were online.
Now I feel bad.))
She nodded to acknowledge that she was listening to him. Her eyes darted around the hallways not only making she that she was keeping up with him but to keep track of the way. She huffed in frustration when she lost track of where they had been. “Basement, ground, second, attic.” She repeated making she that she had what he said correct.
She shrugged. “I’m at you mercy, I suppose you don’t have to if you don’t want to.” Roscuro Andreas Draq, she repeated the name in her head before she tried it with her tongue. She liked how it sounded, though he was her ‘employer’ She was sure that it would be inappropriate for her to call him by his first time. She thought of the possibilities before settling one the one that sounded the best and was still formal. “Sir Draq.” She said smiling slightly, it wasn’t creative but it rung well.
She remained silent after he asked for her name. “My legal name?” She asked, playing with the hem of the dress. “I don’t know it.” She mumbled. “They called me Lilyana, or Lily, but its not really my name.” She laughed as if to make it less uncomfortable for her. “You could make one up if you wanted, or just say ‘Hey you.’”
She didn’t step into the room right way, only craning to look into it, as if disbelieving that it was her. She grinned “Really? It’s beautiful.” She sneezed the dust agitated her nose but she did care. It was nothing that a good cleaning and air out couldn’t fix. She was fine with that. She moved farther into the room, drawing it in. So much space. So much to do. “That long ago?” She asked, thinking that once he lost a servant he would immediately replace them. She pondered his question for a moment before she answered. “Do you have any paper?” She asked. Mapping the place out would probably be the best way to learn it.

Ooc: No worries. ^^
bic;

He gave the girl a look of amusement when she stated she didn't know her name, and gave him a rather interesting one.
"Sir Draq?" he asked with another light smile. "Like knights in shinning armor Sir Draq? How interesting." How appropriate. Sadly, he been around to see knights, about the mid 1300s, same time he'd taken up chronicling his life.
He listened to her state her name with a a curious tilt of his head. He wondered vaguely if she were an orphan, or something else that would prevent her knowing her real name. "Lily," he repeated. He wasn't about to give her a name, it seemed, far to personal an act for his liking. Once you named it, you couldn't part with it. It was the way thing seemed to work for him and since he did intend to part with her, he'd stick to her flower name.
"Yes that long ago. Time passes by so fast when you've lived so long. That's why I highly suggest calling me when you get lost, I won't come recognise to go looking for you until it's too late. The old lady never got lost though, at least I don't think so. Maybe she did, probably in the beginning if anything..." He paused as she requested something that surprised and amused him yet again.
"Do I have paper?" The vampire smiled again, "I write books for a hobby, I have room after room stuffed with books, and you ask me if I have paper?" He finally laughed, and it was a marvelous sound. Something he, himself, hadn't heard in centuries. It was soft to the hears, something that could be listened to for hours, like a song. It was a happy sort of noise, and amused pleasured sound. But it ended as soon as it came, because he'd left to retrieve her some paper as she'd requested. Only the faintest trace of the sound lingered as he seemingly disappeared into thin air due to his swift movements. She didn't have to wait long for him, merely two or so minutes before he showed himself again, standing behind her with a small bunch of paper and a pen held in his had, dangling in front of her face as he muttered gently, "You're paper, Lily."
He liked this girl, he really did. Nothing in so long had made him laugh like that, made him smile so many times in one day. It was her innocence of course, the things he'd been drawn to in the beginning. He wondered if he should kill her, if he'd be able to in teh first place when she amused him so. He wasn't bored anymore, something he hadn't experienced in soo long. It felt great. He wasn't sure he even wanted to leave the girl be. Like some shiny new toy, she still remained o hold his undivided attention, and now, his favour.

Lunch [1x1] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Lunch [1x1]   Lunch [1x1] I_icon_minitimeSun Jun 20, 2010 7:35 pm

“Do you not like it, Sir Draq?” She asked sounding slightly upset. “I though it flowed well.” She moped, slouching to exaggerate. She supposed sir would be fine for now. Maybe later. Once she’d been around a while she would switch to using his name, skipping formality altogether. Lily glanced up hearing him laugh--at her. She opened her mouth to make a quick comment but shut her mouth with out saying it, knowing that it would not be the best thing to say when he seemed to be in a better mood than he was earlier.
She had looked down but looked back up feeling a sudden breeze across she skin. She coughed as Draq’s movement had kicked years of dust up. She waved her hand in front of her face to waft the dust away from her face. She jumped when the paper appeared in front of her face. It had startled her, not only because of how fast Drag came back but how it seemed to just appear.. She gaped, unable to help it, he was back. It was hard to imagine a living thing---if you could call a vampire that---move like that.
“Your going to torment me with your speed and sneak up on me all the time aren’t you?” She laughed, before she accepted the paper and the pen. “Thank you.” She said, before ducking under his arms to see if the window on the other side of the room would open. She could have just asked what direction they were facing but this would be way more fun. She set the papers down on the floor so she wouldn’t wrinkle them. She smiled as she pulled on the window pushing it upwards, It took her a while to force it open. Years of dirt, dust and neglect made it squeak sharply. She flinched at it, but pushed the window all the way up. Lily hoisted herself up into the window. It didn’t have a screen to keep her from leaning out so she lent half way out the window, balancing herself on the pane with her abdomen.
Craning her head she looked up at the sky using the stars to figure out the direction. “North is that way.” she murmured. Still hanging out the window long after she had figured out what she wanted to. It was nice out and she was enjoying the breeze that played with her hair tossing it to one side of her face. “Such a pretty night.” She murmured, to no one in particular.

Lunch [1x1] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Lunch [1x1]   Lunch [1x1] I_icon_minitimeSun Jun 20, 2010 8:53 pm

The vampire smiled softly at Lily's reactions to his leave and return. He'd startled her, well duh. How was he expecting her to react when a murderer suddenly appeared behind her, offering her paper? He watched her with the uttermost interest as she spoke to him again, this time a little more open than just: "yes sir" and "wouldn't think of it sir." Perhaps it was because she had something to call him now.
"I don't mind the name you've given me," he muttered, "It suits me, like I said before, call me whatever you want. As long as you stick to the name." He watched as she grumbled about him startling her, which he found amusing also. He wandered over to the bed as she ducked under his arm and took a seat there, coughing as dust whirled around him and upset his keen nose. He couldn't wait for the girl to start working. Not that he was allergic to dust, but when you had a nose sharper than a blood hounds, dust upset you, and this room had a lot of dust.
He watched her lean out of the window curiously, he hoed she wouldn't fall. That would be slightly ironic. He finally found something to keep him amused, and it plummeted on it's first day. He tensed a bit, shifting on the bed to ready himself to jump after her if she did fall.
He stood finally, unable to watch her hang out the window anymore. Humans were to fragile to play games like that. "The night?" he asked as he walked over to her, "You think so? I think it's the same as it's always been. Boring." He loomed over her, glancing out the window and examining the sky a moment, then re-directing his attention to the girl. "What are you doing with that paper by the way? North? Are you making a map? How clever. Good luck. I'd think it's easier to just memorize this place, rather than map it. You have your work cut out for you."
He pulled her out of the window, "Tell you what? I'll try not to sneak up on you, if you try not to hang yourself out of windows and do other risky things." He turned and wandered around her room, walking to teh mirror, or what was supposed to be the mirror. It was so coated in dust you could barely tell. He drew a finger over it, shaking his head in disapproval as he didn't even get threw all the layers of dust.
"I don't mind if you clean this room first. It probably needs it more than the other rooms in my home." He paused, then blinked and muttered, "By the way. I'll give you five bucks for every bone you find in this house. I know there's bones I never found here. I'd like to get rid of them, rather than have them rot in my house. Alright? Cleaning supplies are in the closet to your right."
She had two closets in this room, one for her liking, the other for her cleaning supplies. He leaned in the door frame casually, pawing at the dust covered door curiously, yet passively for a lack of better things to do with his life.

Lunch [1x1] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Lunch [1x1]   Lunch [1x1] I_icon_minitimeMon Jun 21, 2010 12:04 pm

“It changes every night.” She said, dreamily. “The moon phases and the stars move. It’s the same pattern, but you can make so much out of it” Lily felt herself being pulled out of the window. “Hey! Hey! I was being careful.” She grumbled, but if he didn’t want her to be in the window she wouldn’t be, ‘least when he wasn’t looking. She smiled at that thought, now if could she actually be able to get away with that---no probably not. “Wait, wouldn’t you like it if I fell out the window? Easy food.” She laughed knowing full well that if he was going to eat her, he could whenever he wanted to with ease, it’s not like she could fight him off. That would be oddly funny if she could.
Lily knelt down on the floor and smiled. “Mapping yes, but not the whole house, at least not right away. Just the important places. I can figure the rest out by what I’ve cleaned and what I haven’t.” She drew a compass up in the right hand side of the paper, slowly as if she hadn’t written anything in a long time. “Besides, there’s enough dust in the house right now to draw arrows in it. Point them all to the same place.” She mapped out what she remembered of how to get to her room, it wasn’t much but she would find her way to that point eventually.
She thought about Draq’s deal, folding her arms in her lap. “I suppose that would be a fair deal except, I’m prone to do stupid things Sir Draq. I can try not to, but I can’t guarantee anything, but if I do something stupid you can scare the wits out of me, or whatever you deem necessary.” She gathered the papers up in her arms and placed them on the desk in the corner. She turned and watched him wipe the dust from something; she couldn’t quite tell what it was, she’d find out eventually. “You sure you don’t mind me starting here? She hadn’t intended on it, but if he wanted her to start here, she would.
“Bones…?” She asked. “Why do you— “She stopped. “No never mind I don’t want to know.” She said, her face contorted, he’d already answered that question imaginatively in her mind..I see the nightmares already.” She moved towards the closet with the cleaning supplies. She coughed from all the dust in the closet. “Looks like I’ll have to clean the cleaning supplies before I can do anything.” That was funny. She started pulling the cleaning supplies out of the closet to drag down to the bathroom to clean. She coughed and sneezed occasionally as the dust kicked up into the air.
She looked at the pile of cleaning supplies and then a Draq. “Anything else Sir?” She wasn’t trying to sound annoyed that he was still there but her word choice made it seem that way. “Oh, I didn’t mean it to sound that way.” She fretted, “Sorry.”

Lunch [1x1] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Lunch [1x1]   Lunch [1x1] I_icon_minitimeMon Jun 21, 2010 2:28 pm

Draq, as Lily seemed to favour calling him, was not entirely pleased to know he'd picked up a danger hazard. She'd ever so bluntly stated she was accident prone, or at least interested in dangerous things. Then again, maybe he should have figured that out when she agreed to become a maid for a blood-drinking vampire's dusty, old, accident-infested home. Oh well, he'd have to get over it, because there wasn't anything he could do about it other than keep an eye on her and make sure she didn't hurt herself, mainly because he was a vampire, and cuts, no matter how big or small, triggered the animal in him. He wondered momentarily if he should warn her about that, then figured it was a bit of an obvious fact. Don't bleed around the vampire.
He glanced at the window again, a little fascinated at teh way she described the sky, was it always different like that? It was always blue, there was either a sun or a moon, and eh knew all the moon's stages during the month off by heart by now...but teh clouds were always different, and the stars changed places in the sky. Yes, in that sense, the sky was always just a bit different. He just wasn't interested in it. Space. He had enough space here.
He blinked as she drew him from his thoughts with a question on starting with her own room. "I don't mind, I'd prefer you had a proper place to stay before you got started on anything else." He smiled almost slyly as she commented on the bones, he'd told her a over and over again that people got lost in his home, and he forgot about them. But sh seemed to have thought up something much nastier, and he didn't want to spoil it for her. But he always disposed of his meals.
His meals.
That was another thing she'd have to put up with, him dragging some mortal through his house every couple days. killing them and returning covered in blood. He'd ruin the floors, but then again, he bet he noticed how clean teh halls were compared to everything else in the home, and that was something to give her nightmares.
He watched her take off to clean the cleaning supplies, that was in a way ironic itself. Clean the cleaning supplies. Just like soap stains; how did you even clean a soap stain? It was soap...
He was caught off guard by her tone to his still being around. It made him gather the gesture she didn't ant him around anymore, despite her quick cover up. "No, there's nothing more. But you don't have to go all teh way to the font of the house to wash those you know. There's a bathroom in this hall, right across from you actually. Well, that's about it, have fun I suppose. Call me if you need anything." He left at that, allowing the shadows of the very dimly lighted house to engulf him and protect him from view.
He didn't know where to go really. Maybe get something to eat? No, it wasn't wise to leave the house today, not with the new girl here. He expected her to get lost, need his assistance once or twice tonight. Leaving was not a good idea.
So what then?
I could write... He rolled his eyes at the comment. He could write...How about not? He did that everyday, it was boring, but he did it to kill time, rather than bang his head against the wall. He wouldn't writ tonight, on this interesting night. How he'd frustrate himself in the future when he wanted to remember first meeting Lily. Yes. He'd get himself, the past couldn't be changed, how grumpy he'd become if he found out he missed a day!
He obviously had too much time on his hands if he was thinking this way. Fine something constructive to do. He needed to find something to do.

Lunch [1x1] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Lunch [1x1]   Lunch [1x1] I_icon_minitimeMon Jun 21, 2010 5:00 pm

((Before I forget, because I will. I'm getting my wisdom teeth out tomorrow, so I'm going to be out for a bit. If I don't get sick and do post, It'll be ridiculous, yay! for pain medication...))
“Oh he took it that way.” She said sadly after she noticed that Draq had left. That left her to start to clean; she wasn’t going to clean with shoes on, if she could get away with it. She slipped her feet out of them and placed them next to her bed.
She was glad that he had mentioned that there was a bathroom across the hall. That would make this easier. There was a lot of cleaning supplies that needed to be cleaned, that wouldn’t take too long, but if she had to go all the way across the house to do so it was going to. She gathered up the first round of things that needed to be cleaned. The things that she needed to be able to read the label to understand what it was for. She threw them into a mob bucket and carried them across the hall to the bathroom that Draq had said was there. It was dirty in here too but it was good enough.
It took her a while to figure out how to plug the drain of the tub but she got it closed. She drew a bath; it was the simplest way of cleaning smaller objects. She filled it less than a quarter way full, using that water to splash up the sides of the tub to clean off the dust that would get into the water and prevent her from getting anything any cleaner. She laughed softly; she was probably going to end up cleaning this place before her room.
Lilly looked around the bathroom. “Towels...” She murmured to herself as she searched through the cabinets looking for them. “Ah there they are.” She was going to have to shake them out before she could do anything. Piling them in her arms she walked back across the hall to the open window. She unfolded and threw the towels over the edge of the window, shaking them until she was pleased that they had returned to color that resembled the color that they were before. She wandered back over to the bathroom laying the towels out on the floor. She moved over to the tub, stepping over the towels as she did. Lily redrew the water and dumped the bottles of cleaning supplies into the water. She made a slight face as the bath water turned grey. Appetizing.
Lily’s mind wandered as she washed and dried the cleaning supplies. It was a mindless task, just dust. It was going to be interesting living here. Well, she knew that before, but she hadn’t really thought about it. He was going to eat sometime. That was going to be an interesting experience. Hell, for all she knew she was supper.

Lunch [1x1] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Lunch [1x1]   Lunch [1x1] I_icon_minitimeMon Jun 21, 2010 7:14 pm

Ooc: Ouch, okays. Post when you can. Good like with your teeth. XP Will they just be pulled? Or is it a full out surgery?
bic;

He'd settled for standing in a corner, that was his productive activity for today. Rosucro's forehead was pressed up into the corner, and he stared in a spaced out way at the floor. Bored again; he was bored again. There had to be something to do other than clean and write books. Read? Maybe. But read what? There wasn't a thing in his library he hadn't read a million times over.
So this was what his life came to when he willed himself to stay in the house, stand in the corner and wallow in his boredom. He started thudding his head against the wall a couple times. He could play an instrument or something...Now there was an idea. How long had it been since he'd played the Piano, or Organ, or Guitar?
He sighed in relief and let heavy feet drag his willess, almost depressed body across the house towards the room that held his collection of neglected instruments. He stood in the doorway, sinisterly looking over the selections from under his brow. He figured he'd play whatever instrument was already set up, and that happened to be the violin. Excellent.
He strolled over to that one, examining the music set up in the holder, then shrugging and testing the Violin. He shuddered at how very out of tune it was. But he still remembered how to tune, and in a matter of minutes, it was no longer a problem. He examined the music again, brought the Violin's Rest to his chin, drew the bow and began to play.
The sound echoed throughout the empty house due to the piercing pitch of the violin, but it was beautiful, and in a way the sound was sad. The Violin didn't know how to play happy songs, and if it did, he certainly didn't know how.
He played in complete and total perfection. In harmony with the page that willed him to play the correct notes. The song was elegant, and very long, though it was in now way boring to listen to, or too play. In fact, it was challenging even for him. He'd needed it to be when he wrote it, or it'd get boring again. No mortal could play it for it's length, less they become passive when their fingers bleed in agony.
He found himself wondering if Lily heard him, then he wondered why he cared. He wasn't playing for her...right? Please. No vampire in his right mind would attempt to impress a mortal...but then again, he couldn't be called: "in his right mind". He hadn't had that in so long he couldn't remember.
He hissed as he hit the wrong note, though no one but him would have noticed. Focus Ross.
And he did; at least for now.

Lunch [1x1] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Lunch [1x1]   Lunch [1x1] I_icon_minitimeMon Jun 21, 2010 8:13 pm

((Surgery, It’ll be a fun day tomorrow for sure. >>))
Lily had just finished cleaning up, her second set of cleaning supplies when she heard a melody of notes break the still air of the house. She tried to ignore it, she knew it was Draq and there was no way that he would be happy if she wandered of to watch him play. She hopped over the cleaning supplies on the floor, scanning for a clear space for her foot before jumping again. One more set, brooms, mops and things of that sort.
She lugged them across the hallway, putting them on the floor, so she could draw and redraw the water. The opened the drain but stopped before she redrew the water. “Oh, why not?” Her murmured to herself. She stood, now she had to have a plausible reason for wandering around the house. She looked down around her. Wait. Draq did say that he wanted her to use today to look around. Lily smiled, that was perfect.
Lily moved quickly back into her room to snatch up a pen, she tested on her hand before wandering off down the hall way. Marking the number of doors she passed before she turned and what direction. She stopped in the middle of the hallway after wandering around trying to find where Draq was playing. She’d gotten farther away. She muttered to herself and backtracked turning the opposite direction. It was going to take her a while to find him.
Though, it would be easy in a sense. He never stopped longer than a rest in the music. And yet it was impossible because this house was a maze. She wondered who could design such an exquisite place and make it this confusing.
She wasn’t sure how long she’d been wandering but she had pen marks up her arms now. But she had gotten there. She was sure to stay away from the door, though it wasn’t like Draq couldn’t hear her coming down the hall. She was sure that she walked loud enough for him to hear her coming. She spun on her heels and wondered back down the hall, she had to look like she was doing something. So she paced from the end of the hall where Draq was playing, a way down the closet hall before she turned around and continued strait to a picture window, turned and walked back to the first hall way.
She crossed the path of the door once to look walk the hallways that direction. It was then that she had realized that she didn’t put her shoes back on before she left.

Ooc: oh dear. Best of luck... XP I hate mouth surgeries. <---(has had one before)
bic;

Despite the amount of consentration the song required of him, Roscuro could hear Lily through the Violin's voice, pacing around. He wondered momentarily if she was lost already, then when she started to pace in his halls near the insturment room, he understood. He had an audience. A sneaky audience. He noticed due to the hushed thud of her footsteps, that she was not wearing shoes. Where were her shoes?
He hit a wrong note again and bared his teth at the Violin, as it threatening it. But ther was no faultering in his playing, and once again, only he would have noticed the flook. It was him being distracted again, because his new house maid was pacing teh halls in front of his room, not wearing any shoes, and smelling of warm water, soap, ink, and dust. Ink? Why ink? What had she done to herself? He hit another wrong note, this one a little more noticable.
He sighed waiting until Lily came by his door again, then drawing a few notes to temporarily close the four hour long song, he set the Violin down. Roscuro made his way to the door and opened it up completely, looking at her his his head hung in the same anit-social, vampire way it had been whn he'd lead her towards the house.
He watched her a second, then grumbled, "Lillithin, you're distracting me. Where did your shoes go?" He glanced at he ink covered arm and sighed, "You'll get ink poisoning if you go about finding your way around here in such a matter. My pens are too old for non-toxins." He blew a strand of hair out of his face and sighed. "What are you doing over here?"
He knew perfectly well what she was doing here, in fact he was a bit pleased she wandered all the way over here just to hear him play. He didn't know why it was so satisfactory, it just was. He enjoyed it. He shifted a bit, standing aside as if offering her to come into the room, the muttered, "Did you like it?"
He couldn't help it, he wanted to know.He knew she probably did, but probably wasn't a full out yes. He glanced at her feet again and sighed softly, "Come on then." He signaled he wanted her to come in the room with him. "I'll buy you some shoes that fit you properly I suppose." He wondered if maybe she just didn't like shoes. He didn't care really, she didn't have to wear them at all, she was the cleaning lady, if she tracked dust and dirt through the house, that was her problem.
He took a seat back on the chair, he didn't touch the Violin, he just watched her with dark green nocturnal glowing eyes. He'd fallen into silence, his earlier episodes of laughter and smiling had passed, and he'd returned into the gloomy shell he lived in. She'd probably not see that side of him again in her entire life time, but then again, maybe she would. She had done a fabulous job of amusing him in their first couple hours together, and honestly, he liked her company. Perhaps he was just to socially deprived or something.
