Demitri laughed, "But hard" He said, standing up again and towering over her.
"Sorry, it's hard though" He said, smiling and kissing the top of her head.
"Should we head back now?" He asked, reluctant to head back, but he also knew that Adrian and Scarlett would be looking for them.

Saraya arched an eyebrow at her, unsure why he had hesitated. She looked up at him, her eyes confused.
"So what's up?" She asked, confused.

"We made a deal not to tell, but if anything was going to happen with us, or with Demitri and Gabby, or Saraya and Keegan, you had a right to know. And no, you could never tormet me" He said, taking a small step closer.

Gabby smiled. "Do we have to?" she asked as she dropped her arms. "Okay." She sighed, glancing around. Dark had wandered off. "Where'd your horse go?" she asked. There was a scared whinny from somewhere in the woods. Gabby turned toward the woods, then back toward Demitri with a worried expression.

Keegan bit his bottom lip. Then, when she spoke, turned to her. "Nothing. Why would you think that? I was teasing." He smiled wide at her.

Scarlette saw as Adrian took a step forward, Romeo stepped back. Scarlette looked at him. "You made a deal? As in you, Demitri, and Keegan?" she asked. She swallowed. "I'm sure I could torment you in someway." She smiled mischeviously. "Trust me." She grinned at him teasingly.

"You're not scared of me? Us?" He said, smiling, relaxing instantly. He glanced around, realizing that it was starting to get dark out.
"Come on, I'll escort you back to the palace" He whistled, knowing Kar would appear, with the other horses.
"I suppose Pirate and Rosalinda will follow us back?" He asked, hopping effortlessly onto Kar's back.

Saraya laughed, "I guess I deserved that" She said, smiling at him. "I wonder what the others are up to" She commented, glancing out the window and realizing the time.

Demitri froze, turning and staring into the forest.
"Dark?" He called, his voice low, dangerous. He had taken on a new personality almost. This was how he was when he was a Knight.
"Stay behind me" He said, his voice soft, yet commanding. No matter how badly he wanted to go find his stallion, he knew he couldn't leave Gabby's side.

"Just go find Dark." She gave Demitri a little push, whistling, loud and clear. There was loud thudding and Rosalinda appeared. Gabby swung herself onto Rosalinda's back and held a hand out for Demitri as Rosalinda pranced in place, ready to run. "Come on. I don't bite." She said, holding out a hand.

Keegan smiled at her. "Your sisters are with my best friends. Don't worry. They'll be fine a back anytime now." He glanced out the window too. His vampiric hearing picked up a distressed whinnying and Keegan realized it sounded like Dark. "You know what? They have been gone a long time. I'll go find them. I'll be right back." He said, stood, untwining their fingers in the process, and then ran out the door and toward the stable. He whistled and Orion appeared. He jumped onto Orion and clicked. Orion started running toward the woods where Dark's whinnying was coming from.

Scarlette shook her head. "Not in the least." She smiled then heard Gabby's whistle, a loud whinnying, and saw Rosalinda running off to tend to Gabby, leaving Pirate standing by Romeo. "What was that?" Scarlette asked, hearing the whinnying again. She swallowed. "Whatever it is, Gabby is involved and if she got a scratch, Mother would have all of our heads." She swallowed and Romeo snorted into her hair. "I think we should head that way." Scarlette said, swinging onto Romeo's back. She took the rope Keegan had left when he had tried to tie Orion off of the tree branch and quickly caught Pirate. She swallowed. "Let's go." She started in that direction.

Demitri snarled.
"No, You stay in here. I'll go get him, I cannot put you in any danger" He said, disappearing into the forest and leaving Gabby behind.
"Head to the castle" He snapped, saying it directly to the horse, knowing she would listen.
"Now" He turned and disappeared into the forest, wishing he hadn't left his sword with his armour. He sighed and made his way deeper into the woods.

Saraya gaped as Keegan disappeared.
"Um, okay" She mumrumred, curling up on the bed and staring at the opposite wall. She didn't really know what else to do.

Adrian hopped onto Kar's back and followed after Scarlett.
"No, no and a thousand times no. You go back to the palace, I'll go find out what's going on" He said, shaking his head at her. His tone brooked no argument, meaning that he was now slipping into his offical job.
"I have to insist" He said, smiling at her, "Go" He said, looking at Romeo, "Now"

Rosalinda started int the opposite direction that Gabby wanted to go, but, with her stubborn personality, she wheeled Rosalinda around, making her gallop into the woods. "I don't know if you actually thought that I would go back to the castle, but if you did, you have a lot to learn." Gabby said as Rosalinda slowed to a canter to catch up with Demitri. "Now, are you going to join me or do I have to go ahead by myself?" she asked, looking down at him.

Keegan saw Gabby and Demitri. "Where the hel- heck is Dark?" Keegan directed his question at Demitri.

Scarlette laughed and then whispered lowly to Romeo. Romeo sped up to catch up with Adrian and Kar. "You guys might have trained the horses, but I've formed a bond with them." Scarlette said, Romeo pulling ahead of Kar and Adrian. Pirate was galloping beside them.

Demitri let loose an extremely dangerous and angry growl.
"Keegan, would you kindly escort these two princesses back to the palace?" He snarled dangerously. They could under no uncertain termps put them at risk. He had grabbed Rosalinda's bridel, and was holding her tightly.
"Scarlett, this is serious, take your sister and yourself back to the palace? Before I drag you there myself" He growled dangerously.

Adrian nodded in agreement, holding tightly to Romeo's bridel.
"Please ladies, we can't put you at risk" Which was true.
"Scarlett, we can get killed if anything happens to you, so you better go back. Go keep Saraya company" He said, looking at her with serious eyes.

Keegan sighed, happy he brought the rope incase it was Dark whom had gone crazy, and roped Romeo and Rosalinda, despite the struggles the horses gave. "Let's go. Orion." He clicked and Orion started, pulling the horses to fast for Scarlette and Gabby to jump off. He pulled the horses faster and faster until finally they broke from the woods. Keegan turned and saw, like he had feared, both Scarlette and Pirate were gone. "Damn it." Keegan cursed, seeing a flash of black in the woods as he continued to pull Gabby, Rosalinda, and Romeo toward the stable. He put Rosalinda and Romeo in the pasture and then led Gabby up the stairs, taking the key, placing her in her room, and then locking the door form the outside. Gabby was pounding on the door from the inside. "Just leave her in there." He told everyone that was in the hallway.

Gabby pounded on the door, but she knew no one could hear her. Her parents had gone to some kind of land dance or something. The princesses weren't allowed to come, it was an adult dance. Gabby hit the door again and then walked over, looking out the window as Keegan took back off across the field toward the woods. She also saw Scarlette and Pirate, they disappeared quickly into the trees.

Scarlette bounced along as Pirate ran through the woods, jumping over some logs. "Oh, holy crap." Scarlette growled as she saw what was attacking Dark. It was two mountain lion. She gulped. The lions turned toward her, growling. Dark kicked both of them, but they jumped started toward Scarlette and Pirate.

Adrian and Demitri had dove deeper into the woods, coming on the scene at the same time as Scarlett.
"Scarlett" Adrian yelped, diving and hitting the mountain lion. It's claws racked uselessly against his skin.
"Get her, and the horses out of here" Adrian snarled at Demitri.

"Got it" Demitri hissed, grabbing a limping Dark and growling dangerously at Pirate and Scarlett. He hopped onto Pirate`s back, and wrapped his arms around Scarlett.
"Sorry" He said, kicking Pirate, hard. Pirate whinnied loudly and whirled around, galloping off. Demitri had grabbed onto Dark's mane, and was towing the reluctant stallion with him. He kept a firm grip on Scarlett so that she couldn't hop off.
"I guess you know then?" He muttered, she wasn't panicking to much about Adrian attacking a mountain lion.

"Let me go!" Scarlette growled, but knew he was to strong to shake off. "Yes. I know." She snarled. Keegan appeared. "Great. This is all I need." Scarlette rolled her eyes.

"I'll take Scarlette, you ride Orion and let Dark get back to the stable at his own pace. Don't worsen the wound." Keegan said, swinging off of Orion and looking up at the big horse. "Be good, Orion. Help Dark." Orion shook his head in and up and down motion, like a nod, and nickered at Dark. Keegan looked at Scarlette. "I wish you were a lot less stubborn." Scarlette rolled her eyes and snorted. "So does everyone else in the castle." Keegan shook his head, hopping on behind Scarlette.

"Thanks" Demitri muttered, "Also, she knows, so I guess we better tell the other two" He shuddered and hoped onto Orion's back.
"Good boy" He murmured, letting Dark follow behind them. He could still hear the sounds of Adrian battling it out with the lion.
"Come on, let's go" He said, nodding and pressing his heels lightly to Orion's sides, a small smile on his face. He sighed, and looked back at Dark who was limping heavily. He glanced over at Keegan, "Come on" He muttered again, shaking his head and nodding at the stallion.
"He could be awhile" Although he wasn't sure who he meant.
"I'll tell Gabby, you tell Saraya" He knew what the heart on Keegan's hand meant, but he didn't say anything.

Keegan walked beside Demitri and Orion then swallowed. "Look. Adrian will be fine. There's nothing that moutain li-" he was cut off as there was feline-like snarl and Keegan turned, seeing the second moutain lion leaping at Dark again. Keegan growled, pushing off of Pirate's back and knocking the moutain lion out of the air. "Get Scarlette to the stable!" Keegan yelled.

Scarlette winced, clicking. Pirate jolted forward. Scarlette looked back. "I'll take myself! Just make sure Dark's okay." Scarlette got to the stable and requested a vetenarian's help.

Demitri nodded, blinded by rage now. He dove off of Orion and tackled the lion practically hitting Keegan as he did so.
"These things are becoming a bit of problem" He snarled, snapping the lion's neck. Dark was standing nearby, standing only three legs. His front, left was held akwardly above the ground, and he was staring at Demitri with a miserable expression. He stood up, wiping blood from his jaws and walking over to the stallion.
"Damn" He muttered, stroking the stallion's nose and bending to examine his leg.

The vet hopped onto one of his little golf cart looking things and followed Scarlette and Pirate to where Demitri was bent down to examine Dark's leg. She winced as she saw the damage. "Well," the vet said. "Your horse went into battle and came back without stratches, it gets home and it's leg is sliced open." The vet shook his head, bending down by Dark's leg. Scarlette stepped forward, stroking the horse's large head. She was whispering to Dark and Dark was relaxing slightly and allowing the vet to help his leg. Dark stood still and Scarlette was muttering to him, his ears flicking back and forth, listening to her.

Demitri and the vet worked together a lot. Seeing as he trained and bred almost all the war horses at the stable.
"Yes well, moutain lions are a bit more damaging then swords sometimes" He muttered, moving aside for the vet and standing up. Dark, who up until that point had be paying attention to Scarlett, turned and nudged his owner.
"Yea, I know" Demitri muttered, almost as if the stallion had spoken to him.
"You can head back if you want" He said to Scarlett, knowing that it would take awhile.

Scarlette chuckled. "Yeah right." She said, running a hand over Dark's soft muzzle. "Who's a good boy?" she whispered to Dark, whom nickered and nuzzled her hand again. "That's right. You are a very good, brave boy." She licked her lips and turned to look at Pirate.

Keegan walked over, licking his lips and brushing off his shirt. "How's the boy?" Keegan asked. He smiled and started toward Dark, when Orion whinnied. "Oh hush Orion. You always get your petting time. Let Dark have some." Orion nuzzled Keegan's back. "I know, but no. You aren't hurt are you." Orion whinnied and flicked his black ears told Keegan. Keegan sighed, stroking both horse's cheeks.

Demitri nodded as the vet muttered something at him. "Alright" He nodded and hooked a halter over Dark's large head.
"I'm going to walk him back to the stable, I'll meet you guys there" He glanced over his shoulder as Adrian and Kar appeared. Both glanced anxiously at the second dead mountain lion.
"Hey, how's Dark?" He asked, although noting the expression on his twin's face, he simply nodded.
"Shall we be off?" He asked Keegan and Scarlett, watching as the vet took off.

Scarlette nodded, once again hopping onto Pirate and clicking. "I'll be in the stable waiting."

Adrian nodded, and smiled at her.
"I'll accompany you" He said, wiping some blood from his bare shoulder.
"Hey Keegan, wanna go grab all the stuff from the river side. We left all our armour and stuff there" He muttered, "Sorry Scarlett, I better go get everything" He said, suddenly realizing how much they had forgotten.

"Thank you" Demitri said, patting Dark's sweaty side.

"It's okay. I'm just going to make sure the horses are fed and watered." Scarlette called back, then weaved off in the direction of the stable. Pirate snorted below her. "What's the matter?" Scarlette asked looking around. Pirate skidded to a hault as someone just a few feet away growled at her. He clearly was not human. Scarlette swallowed, but stayed silent, and then man stared at her.

Keegan nodded. "Yep. Let's go get the armor and be quick about it." Keegan said, swinging onto Orion and starting in the opposite direction that Scarlette just went.

Adrian sighed and wheeled Kar, then a familiar and horrifying sound met his ears.
"I'll meet you there" He called to Keegan, hauling on Kar's mind and trotting anxiously in the direction Scarlett had just went. He thanked the gods that his supernatural hearing was 'working' so to speak. He urged Kar to go faster, and soon saw Scarlett in the distance.
"Scarlett?" He called in an anxious voice, he was still to far away to see what was growling at her.

Demitri hadn't noticed anything, as he was slowly trying to convince a very upset Dark to walk back to the stable. He sighed, "Come on dork, we gotta get back" He muttered, pausing for about the tenth time as Dark yanked back on the lead rope.

Scarlette blinked when she heard her name being called. The vampire growled and slunk forward. Pirate snorted a warning below Scarlette and Scarlette shuddered. The man grinned evily and Pirate snorted again. The man leaped, Scarlette felt nails dig into her upper arms, and then all went black.

Keegan wheeled Orion around and clicked at him to make him speed up. They caught up with Adrian when suddenly Pirate skidded in front of them. He was screaming and running and looked totally panicked. Keegan growled. "What they hell?" he said, looking at Adrian. "Where's Scarlette?" Pirate had taken off in the direction of Demitri, then looped around, zooming ahead in the way he had come.

"Vampire" Adrian snarled, leaping from Kar's back and charging forward. He could scent the other one, and was actually outrunning Pirate.
He saw the other vampire and lunged, dragging him away from Scarlett. She hadn't been bitten, which he was thankful for. The other vampire snapped at him, trying to reach his throat.
"No, she's mine"Adrian growled, struggling to keep the other vampire from ripping him apart. The fought hard, he could feel long nails dig into his flesh and he hissed. He managed to get a grip on the other vampire, and he broke his neck, killing him with a huge effort.

Demitri gasped as Pirate went charging by.
"What the hell is going on?" He snarled, holding close to Dark and gaping as Adrian suddenly lept of Kar and outran the horses.

Keegan ran over, scooping up the unconsious Scarlette and swallowed. She hadn't been bitten, but he had caused her to get long gashes down her arms, which Keegan knew would scar. He refused to breath as he clicked for Orion and Pirate. They both came. "Do you want to take her?" Keegan asked. "Or would you rather me do it?" Keegan asked.

Adrian turned, dropping the body on the ground.
"I'll take her" He murmured to Keegan, walking over to them.
"I'd prefer to actually" He knew Keegan understood how he felt about Scarlette, and how he was beating himself up inside for ever letting anything happen to her.
"You can help Demitri with Dark, and then get back to Saraya, I'll take her to the Palace and explain what happened" He held his own bloodied arms out, a miserable expression on his face.

Demitri arrived on the scene, a reluctant Dark following close behind. His eyes landed on the body of the vampire.
"They've never come so close to the palace before" He whispered, his voice harsh. The vampires were venturing closer, which meant that a lot of people were in danger.
