This Mask is Not Me

Keith narrowed his eyes, growling at Iggy as he touched his injuries. He tended to get very defensive over himself when he was hurt. His eyes grew wide as Iggy licked his blood away, and he jerked back, though he hadn't fed in awhile, and he could feel his body begining to weaken, not paralysis, yet, but if he wasn't careful, he could slip under. Instinct warred with depression, and he once again zoned out, caught up in his enternal struggle, ignoring Iggy.

Shaye growled, teasingly of course.
"Oh yay, a Vaix shaped blanket" She teased, shoving him gently, before squirming away from him.
"Come on, let's go explore" She bounced off the bed, not bothering to check if he was following her, she was to curious to sit still anyway.

Iggy watched Keith pull himself from depression, then sink into it again once he got his hands back. Iggy rushed to him again as he curled in the corner, wriggling up against his chest and hugging him. "Keith please don't be sad," he muttered softly, scooping up the vampire's head and looking him in the eye, containing his own pleasure with a worried look. He was worried, he loved Keith as his brother, and he did not want to be responsible for Keith's sadness if he could help it.

Vaix growled playfully in return as she pushed him away, then bounced around to look at the rest of the house. He jumped up, scrambling to his feet as he chased after her, catching up, taking her hand, and pushing the next door open to see what was inside. A washroom. It had a beautiful tub/shower, as well as a sink to match and a mirror hanging above that. It was a small room, as washrooms usually were, and he wandered in to take a closer look, even though he doubted he's ever use the washroom.

Keith glacned at Iggy, "It's alright Ig, I'm fine" He shook his head, bottling up his emotions again. He glanced down at his wrists, shaking his head.
"I need to go clean up, try not to leet Roxa get you down" He said, smiling at Iggy to try and reassure him that he was alright. He slipped away, wondering if he could make it back to his room before Roxa scented the blood. He knew it was just wishful thinking, but well, maybe.

Shaye laughed as Vaix caught up with her, taking her hand.
"Well, we have a nice place to shower" She murmured, smiling and shaking her head, with a small chuckle.
"Come on, let's go look around" She murmured, kissing his cheek.

Iggy watched Keith pull himself back together and sighed. He didn't follow, he was to wound up anyways, and Roxa would only make it worse when she saw Keith's wrists. He sat on his bed, playing with the sheets quietly, listening to see if Keith would make it to his room.

It didn't take Roxa all that long to scent the blood. She was hungry, usually starving herself until she absolutely had to eat, then she ate an animal, which was not her preference in the first place. As soon as Keith was up the stairs and making his way to his room Roxa was at his side, gripping his hands and looking them over, then gasping a bit. "Keith, sweet heart. You shouldn't let Iggy pull you down like that...it'll only make him feel bad anyways." She reached into her pockets, pulling out the always handy roll of bandage and medical tape. "Come to the living room Keith, we'll fix you up first." She gave him a light smile, taking his hand and pulling him gently towards the living room.

Vaix returned from the washroom as Shaye spoke, he muttered an agreement to her statement, then took her hand, just as she kissed his cheek. He purred lightly, looking over at her with a smile, then leading her out to look around some more.

Keith's eyes widened in suprise as Roxa appeared.
"It's fine Roxa" He said, though she was already dragging him towards the living room. Frowning as she basically dragged him along. He sighed, sitting on the couch, extending his wrists.
"I'm not Iggy. I'm prefectly capabable of doing this myself" He grumbled, trying not to bleed on the brand new furniture.

Shaye smiled, letting Vaix take her around the house.
"I love this place" She murmured, pulling him to a stop and wrapping her arms around him.
"But, I love you more" She stood on tiptoe, kissing his cheek, which was actualy quiet a stretch.
"I need to be taller" She grumbled.

"Oh stop complaining," Roxa muttered, "it's done properly when someone else does it." She wrapped his hands and wrists professionally with the bandages, having loads of practice thanks to Iggy's depression periods. She finished quickly, taping the ends, then muttering happily, "there. That wasn't so bad right Keith?" She stepped back to admire her work. The bites where minor, so she'd given him a think layer of bandaging, enough to stop the bleeding however.

Vaix smiled, enjoying the new sights and smells, then stopping as Shaye hugged him and attempted to kiss his cheek. He chuckled and lowered his head for her. "Maybe I just need to be shorter," he replied back with a warm smile. Running his fingers over her cheek, then into her hair, taking strands with him as he pulled his hand away smoothly.

Keith shrugged, glancing down at his wrists. He knew that Roxa would flip if he took them off before she did, she tended to get picky about stuff like that.
"Mhm, thanks" He said, "I'm gonna go lie down" He stood, stretching, his sore muscles aching.
"Ow, damn' He grumbled, shaking his head and trying to move his body.
"See you later Roxa, I'm gonna go try to convince my body it doesn't want to be sore" He grumbled.

Shaye smiled, "I could always grow" She pointed out, shifting a bit so she was taller, though she didn't like doing that. She went back to her normal hight fairly fast however. She felt his hands running through her hair and sighed, glancing outside.
"Mmm, it's getting dark out" She commented, smiling at him.

Roxa giggled. "Okay Keith. Take it easy on yourself please." Then used her scrap bandages to wipe what small drops of blood had made it to the leather couches, walking around to explore a bit. Leaving Keith to his healing and Iggy to his sulking in darkness.

Vaix took a light step back as Shaye shifted to make herself taller, then thought better of it and shrunk again. He laughed at her smiling as she commented on outside. He gave a light nod and muttered, "so it is. Why do you say so?" he asked curiously, looking at her with a light smile.

Keith sighed, walking upstairs slowly, and falling onto his couch. He didn't want to lie in his bed, he just wanted to stretch out on the couch and watch TV. He turned his TV on, flicking aimlessly through the channels, ignoring the small twinge in each of his wrists. He sighed, watching the TV through half closed eyes, letting himself slowly drift off.

Shaye shrugged.
"I dunno just a comment" She murmured, sighing and shaking her head.
"What do you wanna do? Movie?" She asked, they had a fully stocked DVD case, and they could curl up in bed and watch a movie. Unless he was thirsty or something, well then he could hunt, and she could stay here, as she wasn't hungry.

"Whatever you'd like to do," Vaix replied to her with a smile. He hadn't eaten in a while, so he was a bit thirsty, but that was really besides the point. He didn't want to hunt yet, he doubted he could even leave his new home yet. He did wonder what movies the decorator had given them, probably a bunch of romance movies if he knew girls right.

Shaye rolled her eyes.
"That's such a guy response" She teased, "I'm good with whatever" She smiled, slipping into the washroom.
"I'm gonna shower, see if there's a movie you like" She called, turning on the tap water. She sighed, turning the shower on and drawing the curtian. Stepping insde, she let the warm water sooth and wash away the dirt from the day. She looked around, seeing some shampoo bottles in one corner and washed her hair, sighing contently.

Vaix smiled, watching her leave to the washroom, then nodding to her and making his way to the living room, going to the cabinets and opening each one to look for the DVDs. Finally he came across it and started pulling them out, reading the back and looking them all through with the uttermost interest.

Shaye stepped out of the shower, pulling a skimpy night gown from her bag and sliding it on, making sure to put her robe on, so Vaix didn't see. She walked, barefoot, down the stairs, her wet hair hanging loosely down her back.
"Hey, find anything good?" She asked, smiling at him and walking over. She knelt beside him, nudging his shoulder lightly, curiously.

Vaix glanced up at Shaye as she spoke, he shrugged and looked back down at the vast library of movies in the cabinet, he smiled to her as she nudged him, glancing at her robe for a minute, but taking little curiosity to it as it was not abnormal to wear a robe when you got out of the shower these days. He shrugged again, giving a weak laugh, "it's mostly romance actually, we have a few action movies, and a few classical ones like 007, one or two horror movies, and a couple fantasies." He'd separated all the movies to fit those categories, two horror movies stacked in a pathetic pile, a heap of romances, three or four classics, and five to six fantasies. He glanced at Shaye curiously, allowing her to browse over all of them.

Shaye smiled, knowing he was curious about the robe.
"Hmm, are you in the mood for anything in particular?" She asked, leafing through the piles. Despite being a hopeless romantic, Shaye despised sappy romance movies, most of the time. She picked up the horror movues, shaking her head and sighing.
"I have no idea. Classics are always good"

Vaix, like any boy, was not overly fond of romance movies either. When she suggested Classics he shrugged, "I'm not sure, whatever you'd like to watch, I haven't seen much of these anyways. He smiled to her, seeing what she'd pick. He hadn't seen many classics because of his hundred year contract with Raven. Raven had been around for those movies, not him. So really he hadn't seen very many, it was all knew.

Shaye smiled, scooping up the classic movies.
"Well, we have Classic Dracula, Iggy would love that. Um, those 007 ones you mentioned, which are always good, and well the original Phantom of the Opera" She frowned, "Lets just go upstairs and do a marathon" She chuckled. She knew about Vaix's deal with Raven, he had told her. So she knew that when these came out, only like fifty years ago, not even. Raven had been in control of the body. Vaix had only gotten control back like twenty five years ago or something.

Vaix laughed at the mention of Dracula, that one he'd seen. Iggy'd forced him to watch it again and again for saying it was the best movie ever. He nodded at her marathon idea and chuckled. "Sure Shaye, we have all the time in the world for watching movies." Iggy loved old movies they were his favorite. He wasn't a real 007 fan though, just vampire movies, because he liked the different theories. He hadn't seen Phantom of the Opera yet, and had only seen on 007 movie, well half, Iggy'd gotten bored with it and taken it out to watch something else. He stood, grabbing the classics and holding a hand out for Shaye.

Shaye smiled at Vaix, taking his hand and smiling.
"Alright" She said, letting him lead the way upstairs.
"I'm almost tempted to say we should make some popcorn, though I know that would make me sick" She said, laughing a bit. She sat on the bed, kicking her bare legs lightly, smiling and shaking her head with a sigh. She slipped the robe off, standing and walking around the bed, sliding under the covers, not before smiling teasingly at Vaix though.

"Eww, popcorn..." Vaix grumbled teasingly at Shaye's mention of the food. After living without eating it for so long, the very idea was repulsive. He watched her go to the bed, kick the sheets away then let her robe fall off to reveal a skimpy outfit, then wrap herself up in blankets and start at him teasingly. He looked slightly taken back, and stayed positioned in the doorway for a couple second before smiling and wandering over to her, pulling off his shirt and laying on the bed watching her, then muttering, "what movie do you want to watch first?"

"I dunno, you pick" She said, laughing lightly at his reaction.
"What? Don't you like this?" She teased, sitting up on her knees. The outfit was a black, silk night gown. It had small spaghetti straps, was low cut, and fell to her mid thigh. The fabric was sheer, almost revealing, but still covering up all the 'important' stuff.

Vaix jumped a bit as she sat up, then smiled warmly to her. "You kidding? Of course I like it. You look gorgeous. I just never thought you one to wear such things." He sat up as well, letting his fingers run over the fabric almost curiously, it seemed almost teasing, showing him everything but the parts he may want to see the most. He leaned over and kissed her lightly, looking at her with a loving smile almost flirtatious smile, to the point a guy could without looking gay, then glanced at the DVD collection then held up the Phantom of the Opera disk. "How about this one?" he asked curiously.

Shaye laughed, squirming away from his touch.
"Good" She said, smiling birhgtly, her green eyes sparkling.
"Sure" She agreed, glancing at the movie. She had only seen the new one, in fact she had gone with Keith and Vaix, Iggy had left part way through.
"Do you remember when we all went to see the new one?" She asked, stretching out and sighing contently. She had been so nervous that night, it had been long before they had started dating.

Vaix nodded standing to insert the disk, he laughed at her mentioning of the movie. "You were so spooked for whatever reason." He gave her a wink as he returned to the bed and sat down, holding the remote and trying to skip the commercials. "Iggy got bored didn't he? Silly, he seemed so eager, but I guess movies that make you think are no trouble for him, so I'm not surprised he got bored, probably already knew how it ended." He chuckled, watching as they came to the main menu and selecting play.

"I was nervous" Shaye protested, "You were there, and I had like the biggest crush on you" She admitted, thankfully she couldn't blush anymore. She laughed, "Yea Iggy took off, he made Keith go with him too" She blushed, "I remember how nervous I was after that" She said, looking away, before cuddling against him again. She watched him fast forward through the commercials, and she stretched out, sighing tiredly.
