Super...strange [Superhero Mix]

Clark nodded. He and Kara were more used to trying to blend in then anything. He sighed. "So is this your New York?" He asked, seeing that Rorshach was looking at the buildings an awful lot for someone who was supposedly from this city. Clark glanced around again, the sun was coming up now, and he could see the city a lot better now. He glanced at Kara as well, nervous. He couldn't really understand what had happened to them, and he didn't know who or what had actually done this, but he wasn't liking it.

"I don't think so," Rorschach said before adding, "It's built up like New York, but the buildings are different. These two here were never here before, and especially in this district." He thought that they had been in one of the worst districts, but he couldn't tell anymore. All of the buildings around the two looked like it, just not them. He then said, "How did you two end up here?" He figured starting from there would be a good point.

Kara said, "Well I was flying and flew through a blue light on accident and ended up here." She didn't feel very comfertable that Rorschach didn't think this is where he was from anymore even though he had been moving in certain directions. She didn't want to get herself lost.

"And I was working, saw a blue light and ended up getting sucked in" Clark said, feeling anxious. She looked a bit worried, and he felt worried as well.
"How about either I or Kara can ask for some directions or something?" Clark asked. He and Kara bleneded in a lot better then Rorschach did and he was used to asking for help, being from a small town and all.

"So it's all the same blue light then," Rorschach muttered to himself before saying louder, "You two can go ask around for where we are. Possibly what year. I'm going up to the roof of that building to get a better look of the city. Meet me up there when you finish." He wasn't sure if they were going to regroup seeing as the two might run off, but there was nothing he could do about it. He could get along without them if they decided to leave. He walked closer over to one of the tall buildings he wasn't familiar with before grappling up it.

Kara watched Rorschach go up quickly and silently. She glanced over at Clark and said, "Well we should go ask then." She was still wet, but drying off more now. Her hair was beginning to show its natural curls again.

Clark nodded and headed towards a small tourist group.
"Hey" He called, smiling brightly and friendly. He had always been fairly good at talking to people, not as good as Chloe, but good enough.
"I was wondering if you could help us out?"
"Sure" A woman replied, smiling politely at him and Kara.
"My cell phone died, and I was wondering if I could use yours to call my friend?" He asked, smiling.
"Oh sure" She said, handing him the phone. He flipped it open deftly, noting the date, and year instantly. Smiling he faked dialed, and faked a conversation.
"Thanks" He said, handing it back.

Kara smiled at the others as Clark did his thing. She thought that he did pretty well for faking that all. She then turned to Clark and quietly asked, "Did you find anything out?"

Rorschach glanced around from the edge of the roof. He could see things better now that it was getting lighter, and it did look an aweful lot like the New York City he was from. Practically built up the same. He wasn't sure if the crimes would be in the same districts and a few buildings, such as the one he was standing on, were new to him. He didn't know how this was working out.

"Yea, it's June second, in 2009" So we haven't really gone that far, at least year and day wise" Clark said. When he had been sucked into the blue thing, it had been only the day previous.
"So I dunno about Rorschach though" He said, shrugging a bit.
"Come on, I guess we should meet up with him" He said, shrugging again.

"Well that's good we didn't change too much," Kara said feeling fed up with time warps like the one she had been stuck in. She then said, "Did you think that this is New York City like Rorschach keeps saying though?" She then walked over to the building and asked, "Do you want me to take the elevator with you, or should I just fly up there?"

Rorschach glanced downward seeing the two just below the building. So they would come back, he was slightly surprised. He had been looking around and also saw no sight of buildings where others had lived like Night Owl or Silk Spectre. He wasn't sure why the buildings weren't there, but that confirmed that it wasn't the same exact city.

"I can take the elevator, if you want you can, but no worries" Keith said, stepping inside the building and opening the door. He walked over to the elevator and hit the button for the door. When it 'dinged' he stepped inside and hit the button for the top floor. Crossing his arms he leaned against the wall, trying to ignore the loud and obnoxious elevator music.

Kara nodded before flying up to the roof of the building quickly. She didn't want to be seen by others around here for her flying. Also seeing it was becoming daylight it was a little harder for her to not be seen.

Rorschach saw her come up but made not movement. He glanced around the city standing on the very edge of the roof so that if anyone pushed him he would fall right off. He took a few steps back before turning around and looking at Kara. He then said, "Find anything?"

Finally the elevator doors opened and Clark stepped out. Smiling he opened the "Employees only" locked door, practically yanking it from it's hinges.
"Whoops" He muttered, stepping through the door and onto the roof. Using his X-ray vision, he looked through the cement blocks to see where the others were. Once he spotted them, he walked quickly around one of the blocks, and over to Kara.
"Hey" He said, trying to hide his nervousness. The fact that he was so high was terrifying.

Kara heard Clark and smiled a little when she heard the door. She glanced over at him knowing that he probably didn't want to be here right now, so she was proud of him for it. She then looked over at Rorschach and said, "Well we found out it's June 2nd of 2009, and that's about it."

Rorschach glanced at them curiously for a moment before turning and looking at the city. The two couldn't see his expressions through his mask, but it's not like it made a difference. His voice inflection never seemed to really change. "So that's why there are some new buildings and a few things have changed," he said noting the differences in his head before turning towards the other two again. He then added, "I jumped forward 24 years," he paused and said quietly to himself, "so then I'd be 49 now? That can't be right." For the first time in front of others he had pulled up one of his trench coat sleeves. He was checking his age by it; he could tell by any changs in his skin color or any noticable difference if he would be older. His skin was a very pale white, but still looked young. He then pulled back down quickly and muttered, "Well I'm still 25, no changes." He was slightly relieved that his age had not changed in the time jump, he would be of no help if it did.

"Twenty four years?" Clark said, slightly horrifed.
"We only jumped a day" He said, glancing around. New York must have changed a lot in twenty four years, so Rorashach might not be as big of a help as he had hoped. He glanced nervously at Kara, wondering if she had any idea of what the should do now. He was only twenty years old. He hadn't even been born, or sent to Earth when Rorchach had been fighting crime.

Rorschach nodded and said, "Well the good news is that only four buildings have changed and only twelve added on; also that I haven't gotten any older so I won't have to worry about any physical problems." He then paused and added, "The bad news is that I don't know if the crime rates have changed in some areas so we might have to break into a police station to get information." He turned around back towards the city and walked right towards the edge of the building again. He glanced around before pointing towards a building a few blocks down and said, "That's the nearest police station over there."

Kara was just as about confused as Clark right now. She had no idea how he could jump ahead 24 years in time and still be the same age he was before. But then again she didn't get how the whole blue light thing had worked either. "Well we might be able to just walk in and ask, Clark and I, I mean. Twenty-four years from what time you were in the police probably aren't looking for you anymore."

"Well let's go then" Clark said, standing as far away from the edge as he possibly could. "Um, I'll meet you guys down there" He said, gesturing towards the ground. His fists clenched a bit, and he turned, heading back towards the practically destroyed 'Empolyees Only' door. He needed to get off of the roof before he had a massive panic attack.

"Good idea," Kara said before jumping off of the building and into a flying state. She landed on the ground gracefully before putting her hands on her hips and waiting for Rorschach and Clark.

Rorschach watched Kara go down first and Clark run off down the stairs. Clark seemed to be the only one that used conventional ways of getting around. He took out his grapple and jumped off the edge of the building. He was at the ground swiftly and only the small thud from his shoes could be heard. He put his hands in his pockets waiting for Clark as well. He glanced over at Kara and said, "When we get there I'm going to stay in the alleyway by the station. That way things will go more smoothly."

Clark used his super speed to rush down the stairs, appearing next to Kara only seconds after she landed.
"Hey" He said, brushing his hair back, because now it was super wind blown.
"Shall we be off?" He asked, smiling a bit now that he was back on solid ground. He wasn't sure if it was such a good idea to alert the police of their presence. He had got into a lot of trouble with the police in Smallville. So he tended to avoid them.

"Let's go," Rorschach said quickly before moving on towards the police station. He took off in the direction of a different alley way. He was very physically fit and could run faster than most people his age. He wanted to get to the police station quickly so he could find out what was going on. He needed answers to things, and he wanted them now.

Kara followed after Rorschach. She glanced back at Clark quickly before thinking about what they would do when they got to the police station. She didn't know what to say, and she didn't know if the crime district rates were private or not around here.

Clark smiled at Kara, shrugging his shoulders a bit and following after Rorschach. The man moved pretty fast, especially for a human, so he was actually having to work to keep up. He glanced around, they were in an alley again, and he wasn't exactly excited to get to the station. He heard some sirens in the distance, and knew that they were almost there.

Rorschach stopped about a block away from the station. He then turned to the two and said, "You two are gonna go in and I'll be in that alley right by it." He pointed to an alleyway across the street. He then said, "That's where you'll meet me when you get out." Being a dectective himself he knew that this wasn't going to be easy to get the records, but he was hoping they could do it.

Kara nodded and glanced over at Clark. She then said, "Come on then Clark." She began walking somewhat slowly to the station. It made her nervous for some reason. It could be because the place was unknown, she was still wet and not looking her best, or for the fact that she didn't know what was up ahead.

Clark nodded and walked beside Kara.
"How are we gonna find out? I don't even know what to look for?" He said, shaking his head a bit. He was totally stressed about cops, seeing as he had always got in trouble with cops. He pulled open the door, gaping at the size. It was even bigger then the police station in Metropolis. He walked tentitively up to the large desk, hands shoved deep in his pockets.

"Well let's just ask nicely," Kara said before following him up to the front desk. She was nervous by the size as well. She had no idea it could be this big. She smiled at the man at the desk and said, "Um excuse me sir. I have to do a project for college and I need a copy of the district crime rates. You see I'm in a detective training class and unfortuneately I cannot seem to find the papers of the rates." She was hoping that that would work, and she continued smiling unsure of what to do next.

Rorschach watched the two enter the buildng and quickly sprinted across the road. He really didn't want to be seen at this point. He stopped in the darkest spot of the alley he said that he would meet them in. It was broad daylight now, not usually his hours of working. He muttered something to himself angrily before leaning against the wall, waiting for them to return. He also looked around for any possible cameras in the alleyway and found two.

"Oh sure" The young man at the front dest said, smiling at her and glancing at Clark. His eyes widened a bit at the size of the kid.
"I'll just print you off the papers, it should take only a minute" He said, standing up and walking off to the back offices. He returned a few minutes later and handed her a small folder.
"Be sure to come back and let me know how that paper goes" He said, smiling at her.
Clark laughed and steered Kara from the shop.
"I think someone likes you"

Bic: Kara grabbed the folder happily and said, "Thank you very much, and I will tell you how it goes." She then followed Clark. She laughed a little, "Oh I wouldn't think so." She was being completely sarcastic.

Rorschach looked around quietly. He was hoping that the two would get back soon. He couldn't quite tell if true cameras could see him or not and it making him tense once again.

Clark led the way to the alley, a small frown on his face. He was getting used to dealing with Kara and her female teenageish attitude, but still, sometimes she drove him crazy.
"So back to the alley" Clark muttered, nodding his head to the masked gentleman at the end of the alley.
"Hey" He called softly, not loud enough to draw attention, but loud enough to get his attention.
