Super...strange [Superhero Mix]

"Might?" Clark growled, reminding Rorschach of his and Kara's super enhanced senses. He turned and saw that Kara had gotten the last police man.
"Good job" He said, smiling at her, and dropping the flattened bullet on the ground. He also noted that Rorschach was far more intense then the two of them. They tended to avoid killing or really hurting humans, prefering to knock them out.

Rorschach heard what Clark said forgetting about how they could hear anything. He then said, "Yes might. It depends on how far you're willing to go to find out what happened to us." He had thought he covered up his mistake pretty well, but he wasn't sure. He glanced down at the ground seeing the policemen laying there. The ones Clark and Kara had taken care of were only knocked out, and his were bleeding. He wasn't sure if the ones he had hit were alive left, but he didn't care too much. It was their fault for attacking him. He then heard a walkie-talkie going off on one of the men's belts, "Charlie! I heard gunfire how are things going?" Rorschach picked it up and handed it to Clark. He then said, "Pretend to be Charlie, figure out what they're doing."

Kara listened to Rorschach and wasn't sure if she wanted to go as far as he probably did. She shuddered slightly before hearing the walkie-talkie go off. She was hoping that Clark could pull it off, but she wasn't sure.

Clark accepted the walki-talki and held it up to him.
"This is Charlie, we had to fire at the suspects, they escaped though, we are currently pursuing them" He said, glancing at the others and shrugging. He wanted them to not expect the other cops for awhile. He quickly turned over the walki talki, crushing it in his hand so that they couldn't contact the cops or anything.
"Come on" He said, dropping the crumpled peice of plastic on the ground and walking down the alley.

"Well they're not going to be chasing us for a while, but you never found out their plans," Rorschach said following him down the alleyway. He then pulled the folder out of his trench coat and said, "So are you two going to stay in a nicer hotel or in this slum where no one's going to suspect you?" He was going to find Night Owl either way. His friend was probably retired, but he was sure he could find him.

kara shrugged her shoulders and said, "I'm fine either way, it's up to Clark."

"I guess we'll stick with you" Clark said, looking at Rorshcach, shrugging his shoulders. He looked at Kara, shrugging a bit at her as well. He didn't really like the idea of staying in a slum, but he doubted they could use their credit cards safely now anyway.

"Alright, but I'm going to see an old friend after we find a place. You two can come if you'd like, but otherwise just stay in the appartment," Rorschach said before taking the lead again. He walked about only five blocks before reaching an older looking building. He walked inside glancing around, seeing no one at the front desk, like usual. They were probably hiding; no one ever checked in here unless it was someone that was a part of a gang or something.

Kara followed quietly. She wasn't sure if she liked the idea of staying in a creepy appartment with just Clark until Rorschach got back. But she couldn't be sure yet seeing as they weren't in the place yet.

Clark shrugged, walking beside Kara. If they didn't like the place, they could always leave.
"What friend?" He asked curiously, wondering who Rorschach would even know right now. He saw the nervous look on Kara's face and wrapped an arm around her, trying to reassure her. She was having enough trouble adjusting to life on Earth, she definately didn't need this.

"Daniel Dreiberg, I worked with him during my time. He's probably retired by now, but that doesn't mean he still isn't of help," Rorschach said grabbing a key from behind the desk while no one was still there. The room was near the top floor he noticed, and he went over to the stairs. He then said, "Let's get moving."

Kara smiled when Clark helped comfert her, and watched Rorschach curiously before following him up the stairs. When she heard the name of his friend she had no idea who that was, but if they had been working together he would be retired for sure. If Rorschach was supposed to be 49 now, even though he was still 25 because of the jump, his friend must be around the same age he should be now. It made sense to her.

Clark smiled at Kara as the rushed up the stairs, he sighed. The building was pretty rundown and dirty. "Well I hope he can help" Clark muttered, shrugging hs shoulders a bit and smilng at Kara, although it was brittle and a bit forced.
He shuddered a bit as the stairs creaked under him as he stepped on them. They were old, very very old.

Once the three reached the top of the stairs Rorschach quickly found the room. He opened up the door and surprisingly the room didn't look that bad. The beds were made, it wasn't dusty, and the lights still worked. He rummaged through a few things to make sure there weren't rodents, bugs, or anything that they didn't want there. He came up with nothing so the room was fine. He found a phone book and sat down at a small table flipping through the pages to see if he could find Daniel in there.

Kara walked into the room causiously. She was afraid of what it was going to look like, but it didn't look too bad in her opinion. She then smiled at Clark and said quietly, "It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be."

Clark nodded and stepped inside. The room looked a lot better then the hotel. Smiling he walked inside and sat down on the bed, stretching out and enjoying relaxing for the first time in a few hours. His mind was still racing, and he had no idea what to expect from Rorschach's friend, but he was enjoying not having to run for a few minutes. He glanced at Kara, "So, what do you think happened? Could it have had anything to with the crystals?" He asked her, looking curious.

"Well it could, but I've never heard of the crystals doing anything like that before," Kara said thinking for a moment. Nothing she could remember had ever happened like this that related to the crystals. But then again she hadn't heard all of the stories about them.

Rorschach found Daniel in the phonebook; luckily he was the only one with the last name of Dreiberg. He memorized the adress before standing up and saying, "I'm going to find him. You two are welcome to stay or come, whichever way you want it." He then went for the door to leave. He began walking down the hall figuring if either of them wanted to come they would do so momentarily.

Clark shrugged and glanced at Kara.
"I guess we'll come" He said, also thinking about the crystals. He had seen them do some pretty wacky things, but time travel and location switching was not one of them.
"Come on" He said, sliding off the bed and following after Rorschach. He didn't want to lose their only guide, or miss a chance to speak to someone who could actually help them.

Kara followed after Clark quickly and then glanced at Rorschach. She was beginning to wonder what he really looked like seeing as he always had that mask on.

Rorschach went down the stairs very quickly. Suprisingly Daniel wasn't that far from here; he had moved, but he was hoping he'd still have some equipment that he used to have. It always had helped him out. That's where he had gotten the grapple from.

Clark too was wondering about their mysterious friend, as well as his so-called friend. He was on edge, and he could feel his blood boiling under his skin. He glanced at Kara, frowing a bit.
"So how do you know this guy?" Clark asked curious. Was he just a friend? Or was he one of those strange super heros that was forced to work for the governement or retire.

"He was my partner when we were both still working. The law came up when I turned 21, and that's when he retired. He decided that he wanted to lead a more promising life than the one he had been living for the past 10 years. He's much older than I am," Rorschach said walking onto the street. They had only about two blocks to walk; he knew a back way to get to the building so they didn't have to run.

Kara listened before thinking about asking Rorschach why he wore a mask, and why he chose that mask. She didn't wear a mask at all, and she guessed the the police were able to go after her easier, but they still went after him even though he was wearing a mask. But he never took it off so that was a different story too.

"Oh" Clark said, wondering if they were going to bugging an eldery gentleman.
"Alright" He glanced at Kara, she had a thoughtful expression on her face, so she was odviously thinking about something. He followed behind Rorschach, wondering once again where they were going. He was used to hunting down informants, but generally he had Chloe, and her contacts, in pretty much everything.

Kara glanced over at Clark when he had spoken. She then decided she was going to go with it and ask Rorschach. She cleared her throat before saying, "So why do you wear a mask then? Other than to hide your identity that is." She felt weird asking, but she was just to curious about it.

Rorschach glanced back at Kara slightly confused even though her and Clark could ever tell. He then turned his head again focusing on where he was going before he answered. "I wear it because it helps me be above who I'm fighting or tracking down. If they can't see my face it usually scares people more than anything; if they don't think you're just another person they have to go through, they're usually weaker." He glanced at another building reading the address. He then said, "We're here." He walked over to the front doors opening them up, seeing a man at the front desk looking frightend to see a man in a mask there. Rorschach just ignored it, but he had to hand it to Daniel, he had picked a very nice place to live.

Clark nodded, "Makes sense" He said, folliowing the man inside the building. Odviously this Daniel person had done fairly well for themselves, it was a really nice building, and odviously expensive. He nodded to the desk man as he glanced up at them, looking nervously. He was staring at Rorschach, but ignored them. Odviously he didn't think they were worth the trouble.

Rorschach walked up to the list of people living there in the center of the lobby. He found Dan rather quickly and began for the room. It was on the first floor, and he was pretty sure he knew why. He glanced back at the two behind him before stopping at a door. He knocked on it rather loudly before hearing someone on the inside say, "Who is it?" He then paused momentarily before saying, "It's me Dan." His voice was very distinct so he knew that Dan would know who he was. The door opened a few moments later for them to see a man at about 60 who was looking shocked, "I thought you were dead."
"I'm not, it's a long story," Rorschach replied before walking into the appartment.

Kara followed Rorschach seeing the man answer the door as well. She felt kinda bad for intruding on a 60 year old, but she couldn't do anything about it. She hadn't entered the appartment yet wondering if she should or not; Rorschach had just let himself in without being offered or anything.

Clark looked a little upset, he, like Kara, was not fond of the idea of disturbing the elderly gentleman. He glanced at her, still standing in the hall. They normally didn't just walk into someone's house, unless of course they were good friends, or weren't supposed to be there. He peered inside the appartment, wondering if Rorschach had forgotten them, or if expected them just to follow. Clark looked at Dan, oadviously he was used to Rorschach and his odd manner, or else the man would have been yelling for the police, or security or something.

Dan glanced at the two and smiled seeing them feeling weird about going in. Obviously the friends that Rorschach had made were much different than he was. He then said, "Come on in," He opened the door all the way up before walking into his appartment more.

Kara walked in quietly seeing as there was an invitation. She followed Dan a ways until she saw Rorschach again. She glanced back to see if Clark was coming or not as well.

Dan walked over by his friend who was raiding the food cabinets, as usual, "You know everyone thought you were dead."
Rorschach glanced back with three energy bars in hand, "Not dead, just somehow time-traveled."
"What? People can't do that Rorschach."
"I was in an alleyway, saw a blue light coming from a door, next thing I know is that I'm in 2009. Dan, I'm still 25, there's no other explaination."
Dan looked at his friend questionably before agreeing, "I'm guessing you came here to look for supplies."
"Did you keep anything?"
"Yah, all of it's past the tunnel."
"You built a new one?"
"Yah, I needed to when I moved."
Rorschach nodded after the last thing Dan said. He then walked over to Kara and Clark handing them each an energy bar. He moved over to a door that Dan had pointed out. It lead to where he needed to go.

Clark followed Kara inside, smiling thankfully at Dan. Rorschach was raiding food cabinets, and talking about supplies and tunnels. He glanced at Kara, looking a bit nervous. Neither of them really knew what was going on, and he wasn't liking not being informed. He leaned against the wall, glancing at Dan, wondering who he was still. Odviously a friend of Rorschach's, but he wasn't sure how. Dan seemed fairly nice and normal, where as Rorschach was well Rorscach.

Rorschach opened the door with the tunnel and walked inside. The lights were off so it was pretty dark, and that's when he decided he'd eat. This normally posed a problem for him when no one could see his face. As he walked into the darkness more he quickly slipped off his mask, putting it in one of his trench coat pockets. He stuck his hat back on before beginning to eat the energy bar.

Kara had watched Rorschach enter the tunnel area. When he took off his mask she noticed that he had brown hair, and that was all she knew other than the fact that his skin was pale. She didn't enjoy not knowing who the guy was at all.

Dan glanced at Kara momentarily before laughing, "I'd known Rorschach for over 40 years now and I still don't know his identity." He then noticed that the two didn't look that comfertable being there. He smiled again and said, "You can sit down," he sat down himself on a recliner chair, "and I'm assuming Rorschach hasn't explained a thing to you, so if you want I'd be glad to help you out."

"Thank you" Clark said, casting a glanced at Rorschach before sitting down opppsite Dan.
"We're at a bit of a loss, we're from Kansas, and from yesterday, I guess" He said akwardly looking anxiously at Kara.
"Forty years?" Clark said, looking a bit shocked. He and Kara were still really young compared to him and Kara.
