Super...strange [Superhero Mix]

"No, we don't" Clark said, watching Rorschach carefully. The guy was odd, and maybe a bit messed up.
"Why? Are you in the same situation?" He asked, his voice rough, but not menacing. He could practically feel the fear rolling of Kara, she was so new to Earth, that anything strange, or in her opinion strange, terrified her. She had gotten better at reacting though, before she would have attacked the thing or person that weirded her out. Clark brushed brown hair from his eyes and looked around again. He was sopping wet, but thankfully not cold. He might look it, wearing only a t-shirt, jeans, and his customary work hiking boots.

"Well I wouldn't be talking to you if I wasn't," Rorschach said rather plainly. He then added, "I ended up from one end of New York to the complete opposite side in nothing flat, and I don't know how." He had looked around still knowing that this was New York City, but he couldn't place what had happened to him. He also couldn't get ahold of anyone else he knew from before. He was beginning to think it was Dr. Manhattens' fault, but he wasn't sure. The blue glow is what made sense to him but he also didn't think that Dr. Manhatten could move people like that so quickly.

Kara watched the two talk quietly. She was feeling a little less scared, but more tensed up than anything. She pushed a few stray hairs away from her face, although she couldn't help but keep watching the guys' mask. She didn't get it very well.

Clark bit his tounge so that he didn't snap at the new comer.
"Well, we're from Smallville, Kansas. And neither of us has any idea of how we got here" He muttered, wishing he was back at the farm, or in Metropolis with Chloe or something. He brushed wet hair from his face again, still watching the new comer. Absentmindedly he pulled his cell phone from his pocket, it had no service, which was weird.
"That's weird" He muttered, holding up the phone to see if he ended up with some bars.

"And does everyone in Smallville fly like your friend there?" Rorschach asked nodding his head towards Kara. He didn't care if they had abilities; he had been around them often and was used to it. It wasn't a surprise to him at all.

"No, just us two," Kara said to him. It was the first time she had said something in a while, so her voice came out a little higher than expect. She glanced over at Clark not really sure of what to do, she just knew this guy was giving her the creeps.

Clark nodded. "Smallville is your average american small town" He said, smiling a bit. It wasn't exactly average, thanks to the meteor showers that had hidden his and Kara's arrival on earth. There were tons of 'meteor freaks' running around Smallville, and generally they were who he delt with. His greatest weakness, kryptonite, was responsible for theses 'freaks'. Clark was a little suprised when Kara spoke, he hadn't expected her to. She normally stayed fairly quiet when they were trying to anyone that she had never met.

"Sounds better than New York City," Rorschach said bluntly. He then glanced around in the rain. He hadn't seen any criminals on this end of town which was very unusual. He could usually hear one or see a glimpse of one at least, but there were none. It was awkwardly silent, and he didn't like it. Normally he liked to stay secluded in darkness, but with these two that were a few years younger than him he felt the need to get to a safer place. He then stated, "We should go to the lighted streets."

Kara nodded but watched for Clark's reaction. She wasn't going to do anything without him.

"That's just where we were headed" Clark said, shaking his head a bit. And nodding for Rorschack to lead the way. He could hear where the cars and people were, but it was strange seeing that no one was around on these streets. He glanced around again, still not getting used to seeing this huge city. He had been to many cities, but he wasn't used to just randomly showing up in one.
"Who are you? If you don't mind my asking?" Clark asked, not sure if it was safe idea to follow some random guy they had never met, around the city before.

"Name's Rorschach," he said to Clark before adding, "I'm the only dective around here willing to get anywhere to solve a case. The others are too afraid of dying." He then began walking through the pouring rain past the two and down an alleyway. He walked at a fairly slow pace to make sure that they would follow him.

"Aren't dective's good here?" Kara asked Clark quietly. She glanced over at Rorschach before deciding to follow him; she thought the name was odd but kinda cool.

"Yes" Clark muttered back to Kara. The idea of dying was fairly foreign to him and Kara.
"I'm Clark Kent, and this is my cousin Kara" He said, smiling, although it was brittle.
"So there are more of you?" He asked, wondering if there was a gang of men running around in masks that moved. He hadn't heard of anyone defending New York city, and he knew quiet a few 'super heros' around the world, due to his own traveling.

"Well there are a few others; none of them like me. They work legally under the government, I don't because they believe I was too violent. It's not like it matters though, there's nothing they can do to stop me from ridding this city off all of its scum," Rorschach sounded indifferent to what he was saying. He continued walking through the alleyway before asking, "What do you two do?"

Kara followed Rorschach and looked at Clark slightly concerned. This guy was pretty dark considering he was on the good side, well she thought he was on the good side seeing as he hadn't tried to hurt them.

"Well I guess you could say we protect Smallville and the surrounding area" Clark said, shrugging. It was true, they prevented the meteor freaks from takking out their agression on the town.
"Why are they working for the government?" Clark asked, confused. Most of the 'heros' he knew were working without permission from the government, and they often had to keep their identities hidden so they weren't arrested. It almost sounded as if he and Kara were from a different world then Rorschach.

"Did you never hear of the Keene Act? It was passed a few years back because people were concerned about the excessive violence from costumed heroes, which is mostly my fault. The law was passed only about a year after I came up. Only Dr. Manhatten and The Comedian are legally allowed to go around that I've heard of," Rorschach had explained it a bit more seeing as the two hadn't heard of it. He was confused why because it was all over the new for a while. Plus, at least in New York, he was all over the news because he was still illegally crimefighting. "It was wrong for them to pass that law though because much like if guns are outlawed only outlaws will have guns, and if heroism is outlawed, only corrupt heroes will remain."

Kara looked at him confused. She had never heard of that before, and she had no idea where they were still. She wasn't sure if they were even in the same place (meaning planet) anymore.

"No, neither of has ever heard of that" Clark muttered. "Every hero I know fights independantly or in a team, and generally against the government. Himself included. Clark nodded, understanding what Rorschack was saying.
"I have many friends who crimefight, and Kara and I do as well, at least in Smallville. But the governement mainly fights against us, trying to arrest, reveal, and throw us in jail" Clark expalined. He glanced at Kara, a small frown on his face, he didn't know a lot about crime fighting. But Oliver Queen, aka the green arrow, had formed a small super hero team, known as the Justice League. He had been trying to get Clark to join for awhile.

Rorschach laughed a bit before adding, "Sounds a lot like my everyday life, but most of them have stopped attemping anymore. They know as much as I do that they're not going to go me." He did however know that if anyone was going to get him, or kill him, it would be Dr. Manhatten. He walked down a path before walking into the street lights. People were out, but not too many because of the rain. The lights around him were bright and he wasn't used to standing directly in them. His trench coat and hat were soaking wet, the only thing that didn't seem to be wet was his mask which was moving like it normally did. It could be seen much more clearly in the light now.

Kara nodded listening to Clark, everything he had said had been true. She walked into the light feeling a little better with more people around. What freaked her out again was seeing Rorschachs' mask in plain light. She looked around trying to see if she could recognise anything, but no luck.

Clark nodded, feeling relieved to be standing in the light as well. He didn't really like being in dark alleys, he spent far to much time in them as it was.
"So why do they care? I mean you're cleaning up the streets, isn't that what they want?" Clark asked, confused. A few people walked by them, staring a little, but they seemed sort of used to seeing strange people on the street, like Rorschach. Clark sighed, if someone like Rorschach was ever in Smallville, the entire town would be calling him a meteor freak.
"So do you have any like super powers?" Clark asked curiously. He had never met a crime fighter, besides Oliver, that didn't have some power. But Oliver was exceedingly rich, and able to afford the gear he needed to keep himself safe.

"They care because they want the credit, or they don't want most of the scum dead. Most policemen are a little nicer than I am," Rorschach said noticing the few people staring as they walked by. He didn't mind, he was used to it. He wore the mask to protect himself from getting caught mainly, and he obviously wasn't afriad to walk out in public by the way he looked. He then added, "I heal faster than most people, but I wouldn't consider it a power. It's not instintanious or anything, it would just take me three days to heal instead of four." He was also very emotionally detached from everything in life, and he didn't consider it a power but some people did. By no means was he out of the ordinary in anyway...well other than what he decided to do with his life. "What other things can you two do other then fly, or is that it?"

"Oh there's loads of things," Kara said slightly when Rorschach had asked that question. She didn't feel like going into detail because there were so many.

Clark nodded. "For example, we're both 'bullet proof', super strong and fast, and have highly developed senses" He left out a few, mainly beacuse he didn't want to give everything about them away. He also left out their weakness. He doubted Rorshcach even know what Kryptonite was, but it was something he wasn't ready to share. He glanced at Kara, seeing if she had anything to add. He didn't care if Rorschack knew a lot about their powers, seeing as they might be stuck here for awhile.

Kara also added, "I'm the only one who can fly right now. Clark hasn't matured enough yet to be able to fly."

Rorschach laughed a bit before saying, "Being bullet proof would be nice." He glanced around before saying, "We need to keep moving, I can't have anyone calling me in if I stay in the same place too long." He normally stayed out of peoples' sights, and now being in plain sight under the light it was making him tense.

Clark nodded and allowed Rorschach to lead the way. He had no idea where they were really going, and he figured that they could trust him, for now. And even if not, he couldn't really do much harm against the two Kyriptonians.
Clark smiled at Kara, he knew he could fly, he had done it once before, but that was as Kal-El, and it had never happened again. In truth, he was actually terrified of hights, and the thought of flying just freaked him out.

As soon as Rorschach saw Clark nod he quickly ducked into a dark alleyway. He was used to moving very quickly around places and was hoping that they could keep up. He figured because of all of their extra powers, but he never knew. He reached the end of an alleyway and backed up slightly before running at the wall. He was able to get up a few steps and grab a fire escape. He climbed up a few rungs before jumping over the edge of the alley. From that side he should be fine.

Kara watched Rorschach move around quickly. She had to hand it to him for not having any powers, he could get around places well. She before following and saying, "Come on Clark!" She just flew up a tiny ways to go over the edge of the wall.

Clark sighed, and lept. He cleared the wall effortlessly and landed on the other side, leaving a large dent in the pavement.
"Oops" He laughed, before following after the others.
He too admired Rorschach's ability to get around without powers. He remembered when he had given away his powers, and had actually died because of it. He had had to do things in a much different way, and now he never took his abilities for granted.

When Rorschach jumped over he glanced back as Clark put a dent in the cement. He put his hands in his pockets and shook his head slightly before saying, "Does that usually happen?" He glanced up at the sky noticing it was not raining anymore. He also could tell that the sun was beginning to raise because the sky was getting lighter a little more to the east. He glanced back at the two for a moment before wondering what to do. He normally would track down a case and do what ever he needed to do to stop it, but this was different. He was with two people a few years younger than him and he had no idea where he was. Maybe figuring that out would be a good place to start.

Kara laughed at Rorschach's comment. The guy creeped her out a bit, but at least he was sarcastic and she was okay with that. She looked around quietly before glancing at Clark. She had no idea what to do and for the time being she would just do whatever he was going to do.

"Haha ya, a lot" Clark said, running his hands through his hair. He laughed softly and followed along behind Rorschach and Kara. He noticed it wasn't raining anymore, which was good. He didn't get sick, but he hated walking around in soaked clothes.
"Do you often travel through the back alleys?" He asked, not really used to traveling that way. He and Kara normally tried to blend in, trying to avoid having attention drawn to themselves. Being aliens and hiding from governement was basically a full time job.

"It's the only way I don't get caught. Plus I'm more of the type that rarely gets seen. Most people around here know that if they're seeing me that they don't have much time left...that's if it's still the same New York," Rorschach said this as he walked a little farther. He stopped looking by a couple of buildings not really recognising them. That's why he figured it wasn't the same place then where he'd come from. He really needed to figure out what that blue light was.

Kara listened quietly before saying, "So you really weren't kidding about going farther than the police then?" She had said it more of a retorical question because she knew it was true, but she felt like adding that in. It helped her remember things sometimes if she repeated them back to herself.
