Welcome to Hills High School

"Yea, she's pretty cool, and an awesome cook. Are you gonna stay for dinner?" He asked her, noting that she had stuck her headphones back in and was casually humming to music. He smiled, as he led they way up the stairs, she had already seen the living room, and he'd show her the 'basement' after he did the upstairs. The top floor of the house was his, completely. His parents bedroom was on the main floor, but down a long hallway that was private, and the basement housed the 'entertainment' room. It was massive and it had all the latest in entertainment technology.
"So this is my bedroom" He said, throwing open the door to the huge bedroom. A large, sleigh bed was shoved up against the light blue walls, posters from bands and night clubs covered the walls, and three basses were hung about the room. Each was signed, and a fourth rested on the bed, this was Adrian's current bass. The bed was made and no clothes were on the floor, which meant the maid had already been through.
There was a door that led to his private washroom, and huge bay windows that showed the pool in the back yard, which was surrounded by a lovely garden and a patio.

"Might as well." Kairi said, shrugging. "Told my parents I was studing and said I might stay for dinner." she looked at him with a sly gleam in her eyes before chuckling. "Pizza sounds really good right about now."
She followed him effortlessly, humming the entire time, and bitting back the urge to actually sing. Kairi's jaw dropped when he pushed open the door to his room. "You're room...is the size of my apparement...." she said quietly, her eyes scaning the bedroom slowly. Her eyes fell onto the guitars and her mouth shut. "Four. You have four basses!" She said, shaking her head. They were good ones too, she could from where she was standing. "Sheesh..." Kairi said, rubbing her forehead.

"Uh, yea" Adrian said, smiling and grabbing the one bass of his bed. He set it up on the stand, which was in the corner, sort of out of the way so that he wouldn't knock it over later.
"You can look at them. The three on the wall are my old ones, and that one -he nodded at the one in the stand- is my newest" He said, grinning.

"I've been asking for one for about three years now for christmas..." Kairi said, taking a few steps closer into his room. She chewed her lips, rubbing her fingers over them lightly as she looked over the basses. "Oh wow..." she whispered, looking at the ones on the wall.

Adrian grinned, storing the information.
"You play?" He asked her, smiling brightly. He wasn't used to meeting many musically inclined girls. Most of the ones he knew aspired to be models or actresses, if they sang, it was just on the side. He was probably going to end up in a band, or making his own, like his dad. He had already done some modeling, but he wasn't sure if he really wanted to go that way.

Kairi smiled. "I can manage a few cords..." she said queiy, nodding. "Makes for easy money on the streets back in NY on the weekends..." she mumbled, her look of awe failing as a dark shadow passed over her face at the memory. Kairi sighed and shook it off before turning back to Adrian and shrugging indifferently.

Adrian noticed the look on her face and winced. "That must have been harsh" He said, he couldn't relate, at all, but he could offer some sympathy.
"You can play if you want" He offered, picking up his latest bass and handing it to her. It was freshly tuned, as he had been working on a song earlier for his dad. He sat down in one of the comfortable, over stuffed chairs that were in his room and smiled at her. He didn't want to pressure her, but odviously she could sing, he could tell, and he was wondering how well she played.

Kairi shrugged. "I did what I could to help out." she said, looking around the room again. She turned her attention back to Adrian as he offered her one of the bases. Kairi chewed her lip to hold back a smile, her eyes dancing as they looked over the guitar. She didn't need telling twice. Kairi held it gingerly against her, sitting down on one of the chairs and crossing her legs.

Looking at the neck for a moment, she placed her fingers in the right spots before struming gently. She whisteled lowly at the sound. Her fingers moved expertly, playing one of the tunes she had gotten off of August Rush. Kairi smiled at the melody, humming along since it had no lyrics. Holding the last note, Kairi bit her lip. "Wow..." She looked up at Adrian with a smile, shaking her head.

Adrian watched her play, smiling. She was a nautral, his father would love to meet her, although, then he'd probably never get to hang out with her ever.
"Wow?" He teased, glancing at the bass in her hands. He sighed and stretched out in the chair, smiling as the scent of freshly cooked pizza wafted up the stairs.
"You getting hungry? Cause I think dinner's gonna be ready soon" He said, smiling at her. He had already decided that they'd eat downstairs, in the basement, watch a movie or play a game or something.

"You alright with eating in the basement? We can throw a movie on, we have like a millon" He said, grinning, it was true. Not only did they have all the originals of his mom's movies, but they also just had a ton of others. It sort of came with living in hollywood.

"She sounds great..." Kairi said, strumming quietly again but humming a harmonizing melody. She didn't exactly here Adrian's question about being hungry, but some part of her must have for her stomach growled. She smirked, looking up and nodding.

"Yea sure. Sounds good." Kairi said. Now she could smell the pizza. She thought for a moment. The scent of pizza reminder her of a pizzeria a block down from her old apartment in NY. She smirked; it was going to be good pizza. Kairi's stomach growled again, and she set the bass down gently to wrap and arm around her stomach, wincing; she'd skipped lunch to escape the gossip in the cafeteria.

Adrian stood up, snagging the bass off of the bed and putting it back on it's rack.
"Come on, let's go eat" He said shaking his head and heading towards the kitchen. It was perfect timing, just as he walked into the kitchen the cook pulled out the pizza, placing it on a tray in the kitchen table to cool.
"Oh, hungry?" She teased, seeing the lanky teenage boy entering the kitchen.
"Yea, we're gonna eat downstairs, in the entertainment room" He told her, smiling at the cook. She had been here for years, he had probably spent more time with the cook then his own parents.

Opening the fridge he pulled out a few cans of pop from the fridge.
"What do you want to drink?" He asked Kairi, not sure what she wanted.

Kairi rolled her eyes before following Adrian back down to the kitchen. She walked into the kitchen after him slowly. Taking a deep breath, Kairi let it out slowly. "Oh my God that smells great." She said, pushing the door open completely to walk all the way into the kitchen. She smiled at the chief before looking over at Adrian.
"Got any Brisk?" she asked curiously. Kairi wasn't one for soda, and if that's all he had then she would go with plain water.

"Yea of course" Adrian said, pulling a can, one of many, from the fridge. He grabbed himself a coke and smiled at her.
"Here" He said, handing her the can. The cook smiled at Kairi. "Well I hope it tastes as good as it smells" She said, handing Adrian the tray. She handed Kairi some napikins, knowing neither teen would use a plate, and this meant less for her to clean up later.

"Thanks" Adrian said, accepting the tray and balancing the two cans of pop on it so that he could open the door to the basement.
"Coming?" He teased his new friend, heading towards the entertainment room. The basement was huge, and had various rooms, like the rest of the house. Opening a white door, Adrian stepped inside what almost appeared to be a mini theater. Except far better equipped. Comfrotable chairs were placed in front of a huge, flat screen and a large shelving unit was up against the wall, filled with DVDS. There was a table in front of the TV, and gaming systems set up on the TV stand.

Kairi smirked, rolling her eyes at Adrian and taking the can from him. She looked at the cook before at Adrian as he walked through another door. "Is he always like this?" she asked the cook, smirking and accepting the napkins. Taking a deep breath, Kairi waved to the lady as she closed the door behind her, and trying to catch up to Adrian.

"Whoa..." Kairi said, finally finding the room Adrian was in. She stared for a moment at the screen, before walking forward and whisteling lowly again. She sat down next to Adrian, putting the napkins next to the pizza before pulling herself a slice. She smirked at the cheese that refused to break, and tugged a little harder. "Perfect.." she said, blowing on it slightly before taking a bite and leaning back in her chair.

The cook laughed.
"Always" She called after Kairi, before bustling about and tidying the kitchen. Actually she rather enjoyed working for the Black's, they were one of the nicer families to work for. She turned off the stove and began to wash the dinner dishes, thankfully she wouldn't have to wash any plates, as the kids didn't have any.

Adrian smiled and began to try and get his own slice of pizza.
"What movie do you wanna watch? I'm good for pretty much anything" He said, grinning. They even had a few movies that hadn't been released to the public yet, thanks to his mom's career and her friendship with so many producers.

Kairi thought for a moment as she ate her pizza. It was a perfect blend of sauce, bread and cheese; much better than anything she had in NY surprisingly. Opening her can skillfully with only one free hand, Kairi took a swig to wash down the cheese before answering Adrian.
"Something actiony and suspensful..." she said, laughing quietly. "I can't really pinpoint a movie. Something in those catagories will do."

Adrian placed his uneaten piece of pizza on the table, jumping up he walked over to the case.
"Action and suspense. Hmm, how about one of the Bourne movies?" He asked, pulling the three DVD's from the cabinet and glanced at them. He waited for her to reply, all the while eyeing the pizza hungrily. He dropped the cases on the table and grabbed his pizza, taking a huge bite and sighing in relief.
"God I love her pizza" He said, meaning the Cook's, she made the best pizza by far.

Kairi couldn't help but laugh. She took another full bite, nodding to Adrian. "Mmmhm." she nodded, chuckling again before taking another swig of tea. All she had left on the pizza was the crust. Looking over at Adrian again, she nodded. "Bourne sounds good. Maybe the second one." she said, nodding to herself again.

"Sounds good" Adrian replied, putting his half-eaten pizza back down and grabbing the second Bourne movie and popping it in the state of the art DVD player. Grinning at her he sat down on the couch, hitting the play button and turning on the huge TV. Instantly the surround sound system kicked in, making him jump absentmindedly. Laughing at himself, he grabbed his pizza and popped the tab on his own drink, taking a small sip before taking another bite of the pizza.
"Just let me know if you need another drink" He said, smiling at her.

Kairi laughed outright as Adrian jumped. She had watched him put in the movie, and had anticipated the sorrund sound. "Dude the movie hasn't started yet." she said, nodding to the screen as she finished off her crust and reached for another slice of pizza. Picking up her drink, Kairi cringed. It was already more than half way empty.
"Yea, I might need another one." she muttered, taking a full bite from her second slice and digging herself farther into the lush seat.

"Happens everytime" Adrian said, shrugging. He glanced at her, "Alright" He debated using the intercom to call one of the maids, but decided against it.
"Be right back, I need another coke anyway" He said, disappearing up the stairs and into the kitchen.
"I was just about to ask you guys if you needed another drink" The cook said, laughing as Adrian yanked open the fridge and grabbing the drinks.
"Nice timing" Adrian teased, before disappearing back into the basement and handing Kairi her drink.
"Here you go" He said, flopping back in his chair and grabbing another slice of the pizza.

Kairi merely nodded as Adrian left, completely into the movie that was now playing. She felt as if she were in the movies, only there was pizza. Really, really, good, pizza. Kairi was halfway through her second slice when Adrian came back and she smiled, taking the drink from her and opening it instantly. She had already finished her first can. Taking a quick swig, Kairi tried not to jump as a fight broke out in the movie.
