"Yea I'm fine. Just a headache. I'm assuming it's cause the prank was over..." Alayna muttered, rubbing her head, even though it had stopped aching. She smiled lightly, nodding as she listened. "Oh, Keith that's great..." she said quietly, her tired mind not regersting every detail of what he told her. "You'll get to go back home?"


Kristen bit down on her lip. She notcied Demitri wince at his last statement, and knew they must both be thinking the same thing; Keith. She shrugged her shoulders. "No, they just like to look at the pretty things they can't have." Kristen said, turning around to leave. "Where to?" she asked Demitri, looking over her shoulder at him.

"No, I'd be stationed on earth. I'd regain my angel status, but I would stay here" He explained, smiling. "Best of both worlds really" He murmured, wrapping his arms around her and kissing her head lightly. Life without Alayna was unimaginable now, and thankfully that was one thing God and the others understood, well atleast God did.

Demitri sighed, "Where ever" He said, smiling and walking along with her.
"Something pretty eh?" He teased, opening the gym door and sliding through. Thankfully he was healing, not as fast as he'd like to be, but healing all the same.

"Oh..." Alayna said, understand the jist of what he was saying. It was getting harder for her to stay awake. "God...why am I so tired?" she mumbled, rolling onto her back and rubbing her forehead, muttering to herself. She felt as though she had been forced to stay awake for an entire week and work every day. Mika hadn't made her do that much extra...Alayna sighed, closing her eyes again.


Kristen chuckled. "Demitri...you are a vampire..." she said, looking him over from head to toe again. "You forget that sometimes huh?" she stepped out into the open with a deep sigh. The gym always felt stuffy to her when that crowded. She walked along a worn path in the grass, not exactly heading anywhere as the wind blew against her face.

Keith smiled, "Sleep love, I'll be here" He said, trying to sound reassuring. He moved so he was lying on his back, his arm wrapped around her, holding her against his side. He sighed softly, letting himself get caught up in thoughts of heaven, of being an angel again. There was so much he was missing, Alayna had helped heal some of that, but some things were irreplacable.

"I don't forget that, I just don't think I'm pretty" Demitri said, rolling his eyes. He didn't see himself as the others did. Alll he ever saw when he glanced in the mirror were the scars. He shuddered, walking along side Kristen. The blowing wind brought many different scents to Demitri, and he was careful to keep his senses open for the mage. Alexi had told him that his brothers were looking for the man, but so far they had had no luck.

Alayna was about to protest, but soon found she couldn't. When Keith shifted, she woke up enough to say, "Don't let me sleep too long.." She rested her head against Keith's shoulder before taking another deep breath and falling back asleep.


Kristen chuckled. "Well, pretty is the pre-school term..." she murmured, more to herself than to him. She folded her arms over her chest against the cool wind as she looked from the grass to around the campus. "Do you think we'll have school at all this year?" she asked, noticing the lack of students that usually dotted the campus on a free day. Her mind flashed her the memory of the nurses ward and she shuddered.

"Sure" Keith said, sitting up a bit. He grabbed his book and began to read, one arm still cradled around her.

Demitri laughed. "Pre-school term?" He asked, looking confused. He glanced around, a small frown appearing on his perfect face. He was responsible for this.
"I don't know" He murmured, shaking his head. "I wouldn't be suprised if they cancelled it, they have before"

"Yea.." Kristen murmured, having forgetton that Demitri could hear her even when she tried to be quiet. She sighed, seeing the look that had passed over his face. She bumped her shoulder with his gingerly. "I'm not going back home if they do..." she said, rubbing her arms gently as they walked.

Demitri growled at the mention of her home.
"If you do, I go with you" He said, man would her family ever be suprised. They wouldn't dare mistreat her with an easily angered vampire boyfriend hovering around. He smiled a bit at the thought, it wasn't exactly a pleasent idea, but he wouldn't mind teaching her parents a lesson. He wrapped an arm around her waist, pulling her against him, carefully.

Kristen sighed, smiling as Demitri wrapped an arm around her waist. "Thanks. But I think I'll talk to Admin and ask to stay here." she murmured. Looking around the campus, Kristen sighed. "This is more my home then back there."

Demitri nodded, it was doubtful admin would let anyone stay, they tended to be really strict that way.
"Whatever you want" He murmured, smiling and tightening his grip a bit. He had to be careful not to hurt her, but he was alright with that. He glanced around the campus, he had never really thought of it like home, not like Kristen and Keith, he had a home, back in Russia.

Kristen sighed, finding a vacant tree and pulling Demitri over to it. She sat down against the trunk, nestled between the oak's grand roots. She smiled at him before closing her eyes, listening to the wind rustling through the tree. She let out a small breath as the wind passed her before looking over at him. "Demitri, what are we going to do about that mage?" she asked quietly.

Demitri stiffened, he hadn't sat down yet.
"My brothers are looking for him" He said, his voice bitter. He had wanted to help, he felt so useless just sitting here, and they had always worked together. But Alexi had said no, and the others, damn them, had agreed. It was apparantly to dangerous for him. He sighed, but didn't share this with Kristen, he wasn't ready too, besides, she'd probably agree. He sighed, and looked around, his dark eyes scanning the grounds anxiously.

Kristen narrowed her eyes. There was more too it...he was tense now. She nodded though, and let it be. "Oh, alright." she said quietly. "They'll find him Demitri." she looked up at him, squinting slight against the sun and the wind.


Alayna stirred in her sleep, mumbling quietly. She shifted, rolling onto her side moreso against Keith. She sighed, finding a comfortable postion and settling back down. Her body wanted to wake up, but her mind was still tired. Alayna rubbed her forehead gently, before placing her hand back on Keith's chest.

Demitri shrugged, forcing himself to relaxe, as much as was possible.
"I know..." He trailed off and glanced around again. Something just felt off, perhaps it was the fact that his family was out there, and well, he wasn't. He sighed and shook it off, shoving his hands in his pockets. He noticed her squinting and moved, blocking the wind and the sun by standing in front of her.

Keith had sort of fallen asleep, so when Alayna began to move, so did he. Grumbling, the tall angel's book slipped from his hand, clattering on the floor. He was so dang tired today, it was ridiculous. His mind was awake, even if his body refused to respond.

Kristen smiled as Demitri moved to block her from the wind and the sun. "You don't sound so sure." she muttered quietly with a light smirk. She looked up at him with a calm face despite the uncertainty she felt in her gut. For a moment, Kristen let her eyes wander over the campus before she brought them back to Demitri.


Alayna julted slightly when the book fell to the floor. She took a quick breath, blinking back the afternoon slightly to look around the room. She sighed, finding nothing out of the ordinary. Rubbing her forehead, Alayna looked back down at Keith. She smiled, leaning over to kiss his cheek lightly before laying back down.

"I think it's more that I want to be with them" Demitri said, smiling down at her. He could hear the gossip flying around the grounds, most of it about them. He pulled a face, rolling his eyes.
"I guess we're the latest thing" He commented dryly, he could hear Laura making up nasty rumors about Kristen, as she had her cheerleader friends were sitting just a few tables away.

Keith smiled, his eyes never opening. He shifted again, his arm pulling her closer again. He sighed, for once it seemed like everything in life was working out. He sighed again, rolling so his cheek was resting on top of her head, his arms encircling her.

Kristen nodded. "Yea...I would be too if I were you." she said. Her eyes narrowed, and she pushed herself closer against the tree. She couldn't hear as well as Demitri, but she could hear most of it. Laura was a loud mouth to begin with. "Well...you've got the popularity points and I've got the rep..." she muttered. She flexed her fingers before cracking her knuckles. Now she could hear her name coming up in converstations. Taking a deep breath, Kristen let it out roughly. "If she keeps that up..." she muttered.


Alayna smiled as Keith brought her closer. She was somewhat awake now, but she wanted to keep her eyes closed. She rested against Keith's chest, listening to his soft breathing happily. "I love you..." she whispered for the second time, chuckling as the words rolled off her tongue contently.

Demitri sighed, "I wish I wasn't this popular sometimes, but then I remember who I am" He said, mocking an egotistical person. Demitri wasn't really egotistical, but he had grown up in the lime light, even as new born he had been the center of his brothers world. He sighed and looked over at Laura, she was staring at him, smirking. He glowered, the only reason she liked him was due to his popularity, she thought that as head cheerleader, the two should be together.
"Don't worry about it" Demitri said, smiling down at Kristen. He didn't want Kristen tangling with the cheerleaders, he knew his girlfriend was strong, but there were a lot more of the other girls.

"I love you too" The angel murmured tiredly, cracking an eye open.
"Is it morning already?" He asked, disoriented. This was why he didn't sleep much, when he did, he slept to much and was easily confused.

Kristen chuckled. "I think I would rather have the popularity then the reputation..." she muttered quietly. She rubbed a deep scracth that ran along her right arm from her lower shoulder and around to her lower arm, stopping before her elbow. It itched, and she rubbed it enough to turn her skin red. Now she was holding back her anger, and for the sole purpose that Demitri was with her. "Kind of hard not too..." she murmured, bitting down on her tongue as she spoke.

Looking over at Keith digital clock, Alayna chuckled. "Hardly..." she muttered. "We've only been asleep a little over an hour..." she whispered. That was enough for her. She blinked, becoming accustomed to the sunlight that streaked hotly into the room. She sighed, yawning and rubbing her eyes.

Demitri winced at the hard edge in her voice.
"She's only being that way cause she know it's gonna piss you off" He muttered, knowing that the saying was extremely cliche, but so very true. He could hear the anger behind her words.
"Your reputation isn't that bad" He mumbled, trying to make her feel back and knowing he was failing miserably. The tall vampire shook his head and sighed, he hated being in the spot light, and no matter what, he was always pushed there.

Keith laughed. "Ugh, I guess my internal clock is a little off" He said, sitting up a bit and running the back of his hand over his eyes, before brushing his hair from his eyes.
"Sleep alright?" He said, stretching and wincing as his back cracked, loudly.

To that statement, Kristen laughed. She couldn't help it, and quickly covered her mouth. "Ya know, it does piss me off a bit," she said. "But I doubt she would do anything but talk if I did something about it." She shook her head and blew on her arm. Good thing she started laughing, she almost made her arm bleed. "Whatever, let the girly girl's talk." she muttered.


"A little?" Alayna teased, chuckling. She sat up, rolling her neck smoothly. "Yea...I needed that nap.." she said. Her head wasn't pounding anymore, and she could see without anything being out of focus or blurry. She yawned again and strecthed. "Did you?" she asked, looking back at him as she pulled her arms back down.

Demitri grinned, it was good to see her laugh.
"That's all she is anyway, besides, none of the guys want to date her" He told Kristen, smiling. Laura was always flirting with the team, but none of the vampires were interested.
"Apparantly no one want's to date some as 'catty' as her" He said, laughing. Laura was a cat hybrid, or something like that. So they often made remarks like that. He glanced at her arm and sighed, kneeling in front of her and placing a cool hand on the inflamed skin.

Keith sighed. "Yea, although now I feel like I wasted a whole day" He said, standing and stretching as well. He glanced at his appearance in the mirror and made a face.
"Urgh, I look like something the cat brought in" He mumbled, running his fingers through his matted hair.

Kristen chuckled. "I doubt blame them. Honestly, who wants a stray? God only knows what they're infected with." she said, laughing quietly again. She looked around the tree over at Laura to see if the girl had heard her or not. Demitri's cool hand brought her attention back to her arm. She sighed with relief, and chewed her lip against his touch. It would never ceased to start those butterflies about her stomach. She smiled lightly, looking at his hand. "Thanks." Her arm felt much better.


Alayna chuckled, nodding. "Yea, I know that feeling." she murmured. She laughed as Keith tried to fix his hair. "It's called bed-head. Everyone get's it now and then. Usually means you either slept really good, or had a really rough night." She said, smiling.

Demitri laughed, and frowned quickly. Laura was talking again, loudly, obnxiously. He winced, she was going to be a problem. He turned his head a bit, smiling at Kristen.
"No problem" He whispered, using his other hand to caressing the side of her face.

Keith sighed, "Well I don't like it" The angel grumble a bit, messing with his hair some more. He sighed again and look at Alayna, a small smile on his face.
"How can you stand to look at me?"

Kristen growled low in her throat, hearing Laura loud and clear that time. Her jaw clenched hard and she flexed her fingers again. If Demitri's hand wasn't still on her arm, Kristen would have launched from the tree. She let out the breath she had been holding in as Demitri's hand passed over her face, her anger dieing down at his touch. "That's not fair..." she muttered childishly.


Alayna laughed. "Keith, just because your hair's a little messy doesn't make you hideous." she said, standing up and ruffling her own hair as she did so. "I probably don't look any different." she murmured, standing to glance in the mirror. She was right; her hair was a wavy/currly and frizzy mess. She muttered to herself, passing her hands over it lightly in an attempt to flatten the friz. She smirked, looking at Keith's reflection in the mirror with a shrug before letting her hands fall to her sides.
