"Sorry I scared you again" He said softly. He wouldn't blame her for leaving him now, he was to much of a hastle. He sighed, wondering if he should say anything.
"You know, despite what happened today, this has been one of the best days of my existance" He said softly, smiling up at her shyly, dark eyes filled with a warmth that was extremely uncommon. He wondered what he looked like, and contemplated getting up, no that was a bad idea, she might kick him.
"You're bleeding" He murmured, seeing the blood on her pants. He sighed, this was all his fault, he should just go find that bloody mage and tell him to get it over with. No one was safe until this ended. He looked down at his torso and arms, wincing at the white on white, it didn't look very pleasent.
"How long do I have to wear these?"

Kristen shrugged at Demitri's apology. In her eyes, it wasn't his fault, no matter how much he blamed himself for it. She rubbed her nose slightly, listening to him silently. Her shoulders fell, and the hard mask that had been over her face fell away completely. She took a deep breath, sighing deeply before standing up and walking over to his bed before sitting down again. She ran her fingers through his hair, kissing the top of his forehead gently.

She looked down at her pants and shrugged. "It's dried. The cuts aren't anything major." she said, reassuring him quietly. She looked down at the bandages and shook her head. "I'm not sure. At least the night. I'll have Mika come up here in the morning to check on you."

He tentitvely wrapped his arms around her.
"You know I love you, right?" He murmured, knowing it was the first time he had ever spoken like this, to anyone, but it was true. He leaned forward, ignoring the pain in his back, and buried his face in her hair, letting her scent calm him. He sighed, and nuzzled her hear, kissing it gently. He was still hungry, but such a close call made him almost impervious to the scent of her blood.

Kristen sighed, butterflies stirring in her chest painfully. She knew that by the way he had looked at her, but hearing the words come from his mouth, made her smile widely. She tried to hide it, rubbing her lips with warm fingers. "I love you too.." she whispered. She giggled slightly as Demitri kissed her and she pulled away from him, concerned.

"No, none of that." she said, smiling. She sat back in the bed, letting her back rest against the wall, and brought Demitri's head back into her lap, careful to keep the pillows under his back. "Better?" she asked, running her fingers through his hair again slowly.

"Better" He murmured, his eyes closing.
"I guess I should call my brothers" He murmured, looking around for his phone, before finding it in his pocket. A huge smile lit his face as she said THE words. He smiled, and quickly flicked his phone open, finding Alexi's number almost instantly.
"Hey" He said into the phone, automatically sliding into Russian.
"Yea, fine, well I mean as fine as I can be" He sighed and laughed, listening the 'yapping' going on in the background.
"No, it was the mage you were right" He nodded, though his brothers couldn't see.
"Tomorrow is fine, see you" He clicked the phone shut, muttering under his breath in russian for a moment.

"Good." Kristen muttered. She nodded in agreement, and closed her eyes. She leaned her head back against the wall, sliding slightly, nesting herself better between the wall and Demitri. With her eyes closed, Kristen thought over everything that had happened today. She was actually surprised she was still here, sitting in the room with Demitri.

Hearing the vampire hang up the phone, Kristen opened her eyes to look at him. "Everything alright?" she asked, brushing his hair slightly with her fingers.

"Yea, fine. They just had a theory, and I comfirmed it" He told her, enjoying the attention he was recieiving.
"You know, I was serious about today being the best day of my life" He murmured. It was slightly ironic, as he looked like someone had used him as a practice dummy, but the fact that he and Kristen were 'together' was astonishing to him. He sighed and closed his eyes, cuddling against her, as much as his injuries would allow him. He let out a small sigh, wondering what he would do tomorrow. He doubted that he'd be allowed to even leave his room.
"So what are you doing tomorrow?" He asked her curiously.

Kristen smiled at Demitri. "Yea. If you take out all the life-threathening drama of the day...." she muttered. "Happiest I've ever been in a very long time..." she whispered, looking at him seriously as her hand passed through his hair, then across his forhead and over his cheek. Kristen rubbed her lips together. "That theroy..." she muttered. "Does it have anything to do with that man who attacked you?" she asked, remembering the firgure she had seen disappear moments before she had reached Demitri. Kristen looked down at him, waiting for him to answer her question. She wasn't even thinking about what she was going to do tomorrow. She was still trying to get through today.

"Yes, it does" He said, suprised that she had seen the mage.
"He's from Russia, fifty years ago, I accidently killed his wife. At the time, I just thought he was crazy, cursing me and saying he'd 'get me' and stuff. It wasn't till later that we realized he was in fact one of the most powerful mages of the day. It seems he's gotten more powerful" He admitted to her.
"I never meant to kill her, but I was so hungry, I hadn't eaten in days. And she was alone, walking in the woods" He shrugged. He had long ago given up beating himself for killing humans.
"It was an unpleasent event, but it was an accident" He sighed and winced automatically. He figured she thought he was a monster now, or at least something along those lines.

Kristen inhaled deeply. "Should have knifed him when I had the chance." she muttered, rubbing her forehead roughly. "I thought he tried to kill you...." she whispered, the lump coming back into her throat. She swallowed it back down and ordered the tears away. Still, her eyes stung. Kristen closed her eyes for a moment, rubbing her eyes. She opened them once she thought the water had left them, and she tried to smile for Demitri. She didn't want him to see how shooken up she was over this. She chuckled. "You know that means your not leaving this room for a while right?"

"He was. He swore to kill me for what I took from him. The man's a complete psycho" He sighed.
"Why not?" He grumbled, looking like a pouting child. Demitri was extremely good at facial expressions, and his pouting could rival that of a puppy, a cute one at that. He sighed again, but didn't say anything, he continued to pout, she probably wouldn't give in. Kristen was one of the few people who could ignore his 'looks'

Kristen sighed, shrugging her shoulders. "People do crazy things when they're in love." she said, quoteing one of her favorite cartoon movies. She brushed her fingers through Demitri's hair again, seeing the face he was giving her and trying to ignore it. She chuckled a smiling on her face as she looked down at Demitri. "Because I don't want you to die." she said, her eyes serious.


Alayna rolled over in her sleep, pain shooting through her chest. It made her cough, and it woke her up instantly. Proping herself up on her elbows, Alayna covered her mouth with the back of her hand. Inhaling deeply after the fit was over, Alayna was thankful that she didn't feel sick. Rubbing her lips, Alayna looked at her hand to make sure she didn't cough up any blood again. Her hand was clean. Sighing with relief, Alayna fell back onto the bed.

"I'm not going to die" Demitri mumbled, but it was half-hearted.
"Fine, but I'm not staying in here all day everyday. I'll go crazy" He murmured.
"Love, you know I honestly never thought I'd feel it. It's so rare for my kind" He said softly, nestling his head against her, letting her play with his hair.

Keith glanced up from his drawing as she began to cough. He waited for her to finish cough before making his way over to the bed.
"Hey, are you alright?" He asked her, sitting comfortably on the bed next to her.

"Damn right your not." Kristen said, a littl harsher than she intended. "Well you aren't going anywhere by yourself if you have to leave the room." she reasoned as he nestled against her. She smiled, listening to him talk of love as she brushed his hair. "Yea...I didn't think you'd ever feel it either." she teased lightly.

Alayna sighed, turning her head to look at Keith. "Yea...I think so." she whispered, her voice harsh from her fit. She smiled lightly, feeling dizzy at the thought of what had happened today. "Just...a hard day..." she whispered, finding his hand and lacing her fingers with his.

"Yes mom" Demitri said, smiling teasingly. "Seriously? I'm nearly two hundred years old? And I'm not allowed to leave this room unescorted?" He murmured, shaking his head. He felt like a child again. He sighed and curled himself against her side. He knew he was fighting a losing battle, and this was just going to be a pointless argument.

"Yea" Keith murmured, smiling at her as she laced her figners with his. He stretched out next to her, curling her against his side. She was so small, so tiny.
"You can go back to sleep" He murmured, running his fingers gently down her back.

Kristen took a deep breath as Demitri protested. She knew he was teasing her, but it was kinda getting under her skin a bit. She decided against arguing back. "Yes. Until the mage is killed, or I say otherwise, you're pretty much under house arrest." she said, smirking. "And I'm sure I can convince your brother to agree after what's happened." she said, looking down at him, her eyes almost daring him to try and argue that point.

Alayna nodded, glad that Keith stayed at her side. Her body felt warm and calm almost instantly, and she sighed deeply at the fact. She pulled herself closer, wrapping an arm over his chest almost like sleeping with a stuffed animal. She smiled, resting her head against his side before closing her eyes.

Demitri sighed, but bit his tounge.
"Okay" He said, although he didn't look very happy. He felt a familiar burning in the back of his throat.
"How will I feed?" He asked her, shaking his head a bit. He knew his brothers would tie him to the bed if they had to, to keep him safe, but he had to feed. He knew he couldn't have cafeteria food, but how would he feed.

Keith smiled and picked up a paper back from the table. Keeping one arm wrapped around her, rubbing her back, he used his free hand to find his page and began to read. It was a supposedly 'good' novel.
"Demons and Angels" By Dan Brown, it was interesting, and an odd take on a very old concept.

Kristen bit her lip and her eyes went wide for a moment. She hadn't thought of that, honestly. Her shock went away quickly though. "I'm sure your brothers wouldn't mind going hunting with you." she said, "As long as your with one of them, it's fine." she said, closing her eyes and resting her head against the wall.

Alayna sighed deeply. "Goodnight Keith.." she whispered quietly. She fell asleep nearly instantly with a smile on her face.

"Okay, I'll ask them about it. Or would you rather?" He asked, sliding his phone from his pocket. He had no desire to argue with her anymore. He sighed, he hadn't fed yet, but he was so sore, he doubted he could even get off the bed, let alone hunt.
"Kristen, I never got a chance to hunt earlier" He murmured. Her scent no longer bothered him, he doubted it would ever again.

"Night" Keith murmured. An announcement was made, telling students classes were cancelled for the rest of the week, to many students and teachers were out due to injury.

"You ask them." Kristen said, glad that Demitri decided not to argue anymore. She let out a deep breath, running her fingers through his hair again. "I'll get you something in the morning." she said, smiling at the thought. "I'm too tired now..."

Alayna woke up at the annoucement. "No school?" she asked, thinking she hadn't heard right. She opened her eyes to look up at Keith.

Demitri stiffened, that was hard. He couldn't express his need to feed, but it was growing.
"Well, I don't suggest you being here right now" He murmured, he couldn't move, but if he lost it, there was no gaurentee that he wouldn't hurt her.
"Kristen" He murmured, a low rumbled in his chest.
He flicked open his phone, and quickly dialed Alexi.
"I need to feed" He snapped into the phone, listening as his brother grumbled a bit. But understood completely.
"I'll be there in a few minutes" Alexi said, clicking the phone shut.
"Alexi's bringing me something" He murmured.

Kristen inhaled sharply. Her arm ached slightly and she nodded. "Alright. I'll be in my room." she said, kissing his forehead lightly as she slipped from beneth him. She walked out of the room slowly, turning to wave before she left the room, closing the door behind her slightly. She leaned against the door for a moment. She rubbed her forehead before walking back down to her room.

Demitri lay on the bed for a moment, he needed to move, to stand or something. He sighed and began to attempt to stand up. He managed to sit up, his legs dangling over the side of his bed. He glanced around, seeing his shorts not far away. Sighing, he stretched down, gasping, wincing and snagged them. Quickly he slipped off his pants and pulled the shorts on, before laying back in bed, pulling the blankets over him.

Alexi walked down the hall, he had a flask in one of his hands, but it was filled with blood. Vlad had caught a cougar earlier, and he had bled some of the blood into this flask. He walked down the hall, knocking once before entering and walking in.
"Lie down" He muttered, noting that Demitri was sitting. He shut the door behind him and walked inside. He began to fuss a bit, not giving Demitri the blood until he was sure his brother was comfortable.
"You need to stay in bed" He snapped, handing him the flask and sitting next to him on the bed.

Kristen opened the door to her room carefully, unsure if Keith and Alayna were asleep or something. She walked inside, closing the door behind her slowly. She looked over at Keith bed, not exactly surprised to find both of them laying there. She smirked, calling out her tiger eyes in order to make it to the bathroom in the darkness.

Alayna stirred again as Kristen came into the room. She mumbled something before rubbing her face. Closing her eyes, Alayna pulled herself closer to Keith before falling asleep again.

Demitri rolled his eyes at his brother, but accepted the flask.
"Thanks" He murmured, opening it and taking a quick sip. He wrinkled his nose, blood really only tasted good if it was fresh.
"Kristen won't even consider letting me out of the bedroom, at lesat unescorted. So I was hoping one of you guys would be willing to hunt with me?" He asked, "Yea of course" Alexi said, smiling.
"I agree with her, you need to get better" He said, smiling at his brother.

"Hey Kristen" Keith said, glancing up from his book. He hadn't realized how late it was. He glanced down at Alayna, knowing she was exahusted. He rubbed her back some more, trying to sooth her. He sighed, and closed his book, waiting for Kristen to come out and tell him what was going on.
