Keith grinned, "I suppose I better get in on this action" He said, waiting patiently for his turn. He watched Kristen navigate the floor and sighed, silently resolving to clean up the blood later. He smiled at Alayna, kissing her cheek again.

Demitri smiled and took the pen, wincing as he forced himself into a position to actually write. He smiled at her, kissing her fingers lightly as he debated what to right. Finally he settled for an old classic. Signing his name in flawless writing, he followed it with a heart. Leaning back, he admired his handiwork.
"Well?"

"Not bad John Hancock..." Kristen murmured, nodding at the signature on her cast. She smiled as Demitri kissed her fingers, but she couldn't really feel it, which bothered her. Taking the pen back, Kristen tossed it to Alayna, sitting on the bed next to Demitri now.

"Sweet." Alayna said, cacthing the pen before looking at the cast. She mimicked Demitri, leaving out her last name and putting a smiling face instead. "There." she said happily with a nod, giving the pen to Keith for his turn.

"Ya know, maybe I'll keep it on for a little while longer..." Kristen said, smiling at the cast. The signatures made it look better actually.

Keith took the pen, looking thoughtful. Then, like the others, he sighed his name, but instead of a heart or smiley face, he drew large wings around his name, shading them in and drawing individual feathers.
"How's that?" He asked, letting her arm go after about ten minutes of continious drawing. Not his best work, but he was fairly happy with it.
"I can add more if you want"

Demitri smiled, "You should, it looks good" He said, leaning over so he could see all the drawings. Keith's, by far, outshone his and Alayna's. He laughed. "Show off"

Alayna chuckled, watching as Keith took his turn signing Kristen's cast. His name though was a bit more intricent that her's or Demitri's. She laughed after he was finished. "Very nice..." she said, nodding her head approvingly.

"Finally." Kristen muttered, taking her sore arm back. She looked over the signitures with a small smile. "Looks really good guys..." she said, nodding. "Thanks. Make's it a little less painful to wear now." Kristen smirked passing her fingers over each name carefully.

Demitri grinned. "Good, cause now it's art and you aren't allowed to destroy it' The vampire teased, knowing Kristen desipised casts. He sighed and stretched again, forgetting the barely healed, and once again open gashes on his body.

"Sit still" Keith said, growling at the vampire. He sighed, "It looks better Kristen, not so painfully white" He sighed alternating between smiling at his friend and glaring at the vampire, whom was casually looking anywhere, but Keith.

Kristen stuck her tongue out a Demitri. "It's meaningful too." she muttered. Alayna blinked, looking at Kristen curiously. The moment washed over Kristen's face though, and the shifter was back to her usal self, turning to scold Demitri as well.

Alayna smirked, looking out the window and wandering off for a bit. When she came too, Alayna looked at Keith suddenly. "Do you guys get mail here at all?" she asked.

Keith looked at Alayna, startled.
"Uh, no, I've never gotten any mail" He said, smiling at Alayna a bit. She certainly asked random questions.

Demitri looked up, "I've never gotten mail either, I usually get e-mail or texts" The vampire said, shaking his head. Alayna asked whatever came to mind it seemed. He glanced at Kristen, wondering if she had ever gotten any mail.

Kristen blinked once, looking from Keith to Demitri before back at Alayna. "I'm in the same boat. No letter's from home for me." she said, smirking coldly at the thought.

Alayna sighed. "I don't mean if you have or not." she muttered. "I mean is it possible? Like can stuff be delivered here from elsewhere? Or be sent out...?" Alayna asked, her voice sort of dieing at the end of her last sentence.

"Oh yea, of course. A lot of students keep up their corresepondence with family and friends outside of the school. You just have to censor a bit" Keith said, shaking his head. He grinned at Alayna, "Does that answer your question?" He asked.

Demitri sat up and walked over to Kristen, sitting down next to her. Sighing, he rested his head on her shoulder, "I'll write you a letter if you want?" He asked with a small, teasing grin. He sighed, he felt exahusted from just walking across the room, not that he was trying to let on any of that.

Alayna nodded with a smile. "Yea it does. Is the mail itself deliever to the rooms, or do we have to pick it up at the front office?" she asked, calucating the how long she had been here verses how long it would take the mail to arrive. She had sent a package the day she left, with extra stuff she couldn't bring with her on the plane including paints and a new laptop her brother said their father was sneaking in.


Kristen frowned as Demitri moved to join them on Alayna's bed. "I was just about to move over there. You shouldn't've gotten up." she muttered quietly as the vampire rested his head on her good shoulder. She turned to kiss the top of his head lightly before resting her head on his. "If you go to Russia for Christmas you'd better write.." she said.

"I think you have to go pick it up. Do you want me to show you where the mail room is" He laughed, "You know, I've never actually been there" The angel said laughing akwardly. He sighed and glanced at Demitri.
"You're supposed to be lying down" He grumbled, using the mop to carefully clean up the massive blood spill on the floor. He grumbled, "Your shirt is useless" He said, tossing the stained, stiff garment into the trash.

Demitri shrugged.
"I will. I still think you should come with, if I go that is. Alexi told me they're going on vacation or something. But he said I could have the ski cottage for the vacation" He said with a grin.
"In fact you should all come, it would be fun" Demitri said with a grin.

"Keith...how would you know where it is if you've never been there before?" Alayna asked, slowly as she thought it out. She chuckled slightly, pulling her knees up to her chest and resting her chin on them gently. "Either way that's a yes. I have to see if that package arrived yet or not..." she mumbled the last sentence mostly to herself.


"Wouldn't miss it," Kristen said, smiling at Demitri. She watched Keith try to clean up the mess Demitri had made with a slight frown on her face. She shook her head, slightly before smiling at Demitri again. "Ski cottage? Sounds cold..." Kristen said, chuckling.

Alayna frowned at the mention of Christmas. She looked up at Keith for a moment before letting her eyes fall back to the blood-stained floor. It was a long time till Christmas...she didn't want to make plans just yet.

Keith smiled.
"I do know my way around the school Alayna, even if I haven't been inside the mail room, I know where it's located" He said with a small grin as he continued to work on the floor.
"Yea, sounds fun. I haven't been to Russia yet" He said with a grin at Demitri. He had seen pictures of the ski cottage, and it was amazing. He glanced at Alayna, but didn't say anything.

Demitri smiled, "I'll make sure that I call ahead and get the heat turned on" He said, wrapping an arm around Kristen. He winced. "So you'll come? Cause I need to get you a plane ticket" He said with a grin. Like all vampires, years of life had made him exceedingly wealthy, as well as generous.

"Good point..." Alayna said, smiling slightly before resting her head on her knees again. She waited paitently for Keith to finsih, wondering suddenly if the angel wanted any help. Picking her head up, Alayna looked over at Keith again. "Need some help?" she asked quietly, pushing herself away from the wall and towards the edge of the bed.


Kristen smiled as Demitri wrapped his arm around her, seeing him wince. "Don't hurt yourself, for the love of God..." she muttered, half angrily. "You really cannot sit still can you?" Kristen asked, looking up at his face. "And yes I'll go..." she said quietly, thankful for Demitri's offer to buy her ticket.

"Nah, I'm done now anyway" Keith said, picking up the bucket and disappearing into the shower to empty out the muddy brown-red water. He returned, "I'll go to" He said to Demitri witha grin, "I want to see this legendary ski cabin you're always going on about" He teased, smiling at the vampire before turning his attention back to Alayna.
"Alright, come on, we'll be back in a bit" He said, holding his hand out to her, while nodding to Demitri and Kristen.

"Sure thing Keith, I'll get you a ticket while I get Kristen's" Demitri said, smiling at this angel friend. He glanced at the now clean floor.
"Thanks" He said with a grin, before turnign his attention back to Kristen. "Nope, for a vampire, I'm incredibly fidgity" He said, kissing her cheek a bit. "Good, because it certainly wouldn't be a vacation without watching you crash in the snow at least once"

"Oh, alright." Alayna said, standing up from the bed and taking Keith's hand. "Bye." she said shortly, before following Keith out of the room and down the hallway.


Kristen sighed, chuckling slightly as Demitri kissed her cheek. "You're gonna hurt yourself dude..." she muttered quietly. She shook her head at Demitri, trying not to laugh. "I said I would go with you, I didn't say I would actually go skiing..." she said, smiling now.

Keith smiled at Alayna, "Now I think it's this way..." He teased, leading the way down the hall.
"Are you alright?" He asked, she had gone sort of silent after awhile and he knew that Kristen and Demitri could be overwhelming, not to mention the whole Christmas thing getting brought up.

Demitri shrugged, "I'll teach you" He said, ignoring the whole 'you're going to get hurt' thing. He probably would, but he was pretending that that wasn't true.
"I snow board though, so but we'll figure something out" He said with a grin.

"You think?" Alayna teased back, laughing quietly. "Sure it might not be that way?" she asked, pointing a thumb over her shoulder.
Sighing, Alayna's smiled disappeared and she shrugged. "I guess..." she muttered, looking down as they walked.


"Snow board's worse..." Kristen muttered. "I can never firgure out how to turn. And I find that turning is extrememly important if a pine tree suddenly appears in your path." she said, laughing slightly. "I think I'll just watch..."

"Are you sure? I mean you know that you can tell me if anythings bothering you, right?" He asked, lacing his fingers with his as he led the way. He walked towards the administrative office but turned down a side hall. Void of any doors or lockers, until the end.
"Here we go" He said, opening the single door at the end of the hall. The mail room was fairly sparse, there was a dog hybrid standing behind the counter sorting different things into different boxes. Each student had a box, so it was fairly easy to find mail.

Demitri sighed, "You're so boring" He teased. He had been snow boarding for years, and loved it. He had competed and won a few competitions back home, but had never really taken it anywhere. Vampires couldn't really afford to be in the public eye. He smiled at her, "Well sledding at least?" He asked, grinning at her.

"I know." Alayna said, nodding and smiling as Keith laced his fingers with her own. "It's just....ya know, it's hard to tell someone how your feeling, when you yourself aren't exactly sure at the time..." she half muttered, looking around as Keith lead her down a hallway. She smiled to the guy working inside the mail room, and her eyes scanned the numerous boxes behind the counter. Most of them were empty, and a few had letters or papers. She didn't exactly see a package anywhere amoung the boxes...maybe it wasn't here yet.


"Maybe I am, but you still love me." Kristen teased, trying to hide her smile. "Sledding is only as good as the tallest hill you can find." she said, narrowing her eyes slightly. "If we find a good enough hill, then yes, I'll go sledding."

Keith smiled at the hybrid.
"Hey Ben" He said with a grin, the hybrid whipped around, his brown ears quivering.
"Oh Hey Keith, sorry, was busy. What can I help you with? I don't think I've ever seen you in here before" He said, smiling at the angel.
"Oh, just looking for a package here, for Alayna" He said, nodding at the girl. "Have you got one?"
The hybrid frowned, but then his face lit up, "Actually, I believe I have one. It was to large to fit in the box, so I just have it behind the counter" he bent down and scooped up a large packagae.
"This it?"

Demitri smiled, "I suppose. Darling, it's a ski hill, we'll find a fantastic hill" He said with a grin.
"Do you want me to show you pictures?" He asked, he had a bunch on his computer from last year, plus he also had to order three plane tickets.
"Do you think I should order Alayna one? She didn't say if she was coming or not"

Alayna's eyes went wide as she notcied the boy behind the counter had brown dog-like ears. She smiled and tried not to laugh. She let out a small gasp as Ben pulled a brown packaged cardboard box from behind the counter. "Yea. This is it. Thanks!" Alayna said, putting her hands on the box and looking it over carefully. "Just this right?" she asked, slightly wondering if her brother had written her yet or not. That might take longer, the letters were coming from overseas.


"Ah, most times skii hills have slopes. There's a difference." Krsiten said, smiling. "No, I'll see it when I get there." she said, not wanting Demitri to move at all really, lest he re-open the wounds he had. Kristen frowned for a moment, thinking. "I'm not sure. I wouldn't until you clear it with her. She has blood relatives that care remember?" she said, smirking weakly.

Ben checked back under the counter.
"Oh, yes, this" He said, handing her a dirty, slightly stained letter.
"Just came this morning" He said with a grin. Keith smiled at Alayna, "There, thanks Ben. See you later?" He said, gesturing for her to proceed from the room.
"Sure think Keith" The dog hybrid said with a grin, disappearing behind the counter again.

Demitri nodded, "Fine. Yea I suppose" He would have to get used to that. Kristen and her family didn't get along, Keith's family didn't live on Earth, and his family, well his family was fairly unconventional. "I suppose I better adjust to the whole Alayna's a human thing, with human needs" He said, smiling at her.

Alayna's eyes went wide and she took the letter from Ben gingerly. She looked at the address, smiling at her brother's hand writting. "Thanks Ben." Alayna called, lifting the package from the counter with somewhat of a heave. "Sheesh....what did Jerry put in here?" she muttered, leaning back slightly as she held the package to her waist. She'd only asked for paints and canvas....that stuff couldn't be this heavy.


Kristen nodded in agreement. "Mmhm..." she said quietly. "Even if she isn't fully human..." Kristen said, chuckling. "Most of her is..." She turned to look over at Demitri. "Have you been a vampire that long that you don't remember being human?" she asked curiously.

Keith looked at her curiously.
"So do you wanna go back to my room then? I'm sure this stuff is fairly private, and I doubt you want a super curious vampire exploring it all" He said softly, heading down the halls towards his room.
"Want me to take the package?" He asked, noticing that it did look fairly heavy.

Demitri smiled.
"I don't remember much of being human at all. I was changed almost seven hundred years ago" He said, shrugging his shoulders and wincing.
"I guess Alayna's sort of giving me a crash course in being human all over again. There's a lot that I've forgotten"
