Blood Lust

Selena sat on the ground, staring at Alex and shaking. She was scared and she could see that Alex was tired.

Alex sheathed his blood-soaked sword, and sat down as well.

Selena just stared. She couldn't think of anything smart to say after witnessing that. "Th-thankyou..." She said quietly, still shaking in fear.

"Sorry you had to watch that...", Alex said, picking up Ezeriuth's head. Suddenly he threw it back on to the ground. "It blinked at me!"

Selena screamed and covered her head. She was out in the woods alone with Alex and what she was hoping was a dead demon... it didn't exactly seem like the best situation.

Alex drove his sword through the head, and then sheathed it again. "tHere. It's dead."

Selena stared and began shaking more violently. She was getting cold and she couldn't believe what had just happened.

"LIsten, we should probably get you back home soon."

Selena looked at Alex. "I don't wanna go back home to my mother and father..." She whispered, looking at the ground. "I'm not happy there... that's why I was running away..." Suddenly another thought came into Selena's head. "Can you explain more why you can't cross a river?" She asked.

"I don't know why I can't, I've just accepted it and never put much thought into it..."

Selena stared at him. "Well, why don't you try more?... I mean not now of course... but tomorrow?" She said.

'I might.", Alex said, smiling at her.

Selena smiled. She liked hearing that he was gonna try, but she didn't quite understand why he was smiling at her.

Alex stood up. "Let's get back to my house..."

Selena nodded and stood up, too. She walked over so that she stood closer to Alex. Being near someone else made her feel a bit more secure than she felt while she was farther away.

Alex proceeded to walk off towards his house, making sure that Selena was not far behind.

Selena followed behind Alex, trying to stay close without being too close. She didn't know if he would be mad at her if she stayed any closer to him than she already was. She stared at the ground, Alex had said they were going back to his house... but what if he had only said that? What if he decided that he was going to take her back to her mother's house? Selena didn't like that thought so she tried to concentrate on other things.

'You know, at first I was angry at you, and that's why I had you stay in the music room. I have a quite comfortable guest room, which you can stay in."

Selena looked up at Alex, clearly surprised. "Really?" She asked. "Thank you so much." She said, hugging him tightly in thanks.

Alex had never really been shown this much affection or thanked. He was confused as to what he should do.

Selena let go and backed away. "Sorry... just the excitement of the moment..." She appologized quietly.

"I don't know how to respond to that"

Selena stared at him in disbelief. "You don't?... Didn't your old girlfriend ever hug you?" She asked in confusion.

Alex shook his head.

Selena stared at him sympatheticly. "That's so... sad..." She said softer and quieter that before.
