Maddie blinked at Alyassa. "He does?" she asked, sensing the same astonishment from her new friend now as was usually from the adults. Well, Demitri had failed to mention that to her...or maybe he had...Maddie rubbed her forehead. She'd been a bit groggy this morning anyway.
"Yea." Maddie said to Alexi, looking back at Alyassa. Maddie grinned at the thought of Alyassa coming over for the afternoon.
"Oh! You can meet my mom, and Layna, Maria and Keith!" she gasped before catching herself and clamping a hand over her mouth with a giggle. Maddie could get too carried away sometimes.

Alyassa smile, "Okay" She clapped her hands, "But only if you come and pick me up later daddy" She said, hugging him lightly.
"I will sweetheart, now run off, I'll pick you up around dinner time" He said, grinning as Alexi handed him their address, along with his cell number.
"It was nice to meet you, we'll see you later" He said, ushering the girls out of the room.
"Who are Maria, Layna and Keith?" Alyassa asked, looking at Maddie curiously. She knew what mom ment, but the others were confusing.
"Where's your Daddy's office?' She asked Maddie, now that she was much more calm, she was begining to loosen up a bit, and her curiosity was peeked.

"Yay!!" Maddie exclaimed as Alyassa agreed to come along. She took her friend's hand again and skipped out of the office while Alexi and Alyassa's dad talked.
Maddie eyes danced at the curiousity she sensed from Alyassa. "My family." she answered simply. "You'll see. It's gonna be a lot of fun." she promised, glad that she would finally have someone to talk to about all the interesting things that happened around her family.

"Um..." Maddie said when Alyassa asked about Demitri's office. She looked around for a moment and laughed. "I don't remember." she laughed, looking up at Alexi with bright brown eyes for him to lead the way.

Alexi smiled, "Down here" He nodded, leading the way down hallway and smiling. He walked into the receptionists office, nodding at her.
"Alright kiddo, what door?" He asked, looking at Maddie curiously, he could hear Demitri talking on the phone behind one, so he figured Maddie would be able to figure it out pretty easily.

Maddie giggle thankfully, pulling Alyassa along gently as Alexi lead the way.As they walked, the direction was starting to come back to her, and she knew where she was.
"This way." she said quietly, hearing that Demitri was talking on the phone just behind one of the doors. She let go of Alyassa's had as she walked up to the door.

Quietly, Maddie pushed the door open a crack. She watched him speak on the phone, and waiting until he hung up, she waved for Alyassa and Alexi to follow as she opened the door.
"Hi Daddy!" she said, beaming happily at him.

Demitri turned, smiling,
"Hey Maddie, and who's this?" He asked, looking at the shy little girl.
"Alyassa, one of Maddie's party goers and a new friend" Alexi said, "She's gonne spend the rest of the day with us" He said, "Oh cool" Demitri kissed Maddie's head.
"I'm all done here, so we can get going" He murmured.
"Ready to go?" He asked Maddie and Alyassa.
"Sure" The little girl agreed, looking at Maddie for conformation.

Maddie grinned, seeing that Demitri wasn't preoccuipied. She reached for Alyassa's hand again, reassuring her that they could go into the room.
"Al-" Maddie started, but Alexi already answered. Maddie rolled her eyes with a smile, sighing since this always seemed to happen. She merely nodded in agreement with Alexi's statement, giggling as the two brothers talked.
"They're brothers." Maddie explained. "They do that a lot." she added with a sigh.
Maddie nodded at Alyassa and squeezed her hand gently. "Dad was going to take us to lunch and then icecream, how's that sound?"

Alyassa nodded, "Oh, okay" She said with a small grin.
"Lunch and icecream?" Her eyes grew wide as she looked at Demitri.
'Yupp" He said, "We just have to make one quick stop, then we can be on our way" He smiled, "So, let's go' He ushured the kids out of the room, talking to Alexi with a small grin.
"So just stop at your club, and then be off for lunch and ice cream, then back to the house" He said, nodding his head.
"Yea, Maria's pretty anxious" Alexi said, shaking his head and frowning.
"We could skip the club?"
"I'd just have to do it tomorrow"

Alyassa smiled at Maddie.
'So where do you live?" She asked curiously, smiling a bit. She stopped in front of the elevator, not really sure what to do.

"Mmmh." Maddie said, smiling. "What your favrite place for lunch?" Maddie asked as Demitri ushered everyone out of his office.
Maddie frowned for a moment, feeling Alexi anxiety as her own for a moment and she forced herself not to squeeze Alyassa's hand in the process. She glanced over at Alexi for a moment before taking a deep breath and letting it out slowly.

"Not in the city." Maddie answered. "My Dad has his own land and his house is really big. Close to the mountains too." She stepped forward and pressed the button on the elevator to call it forward.

Alyassa nodded, "Wow, me and my daddy live in an apaprtament bulding" She said, struggling with the word for a moment.
Alexi chuckled, glancing at Demitri, who was also trying to keep a straight face.
"Yea, let's just get lunch and head home" Alexi said, looking downcast for a moment.
"We'll grab lunch to go" Demitri said, he and Kristen were getting better at being apart, but they had had plenty of practice, Alexi and Maria were still so new to this world, it was hard on them.
"Where do you kids want to go for lunch?" Demitri asked curiously.

Alyassa shrugged, "I don't really have a favorite, what do you like?" She asked Maddie curiously, glancing at Alexi with an odd expression for a moment, before shrugging it off and looking at her new friend.

Maddie didn't miss the struggle Alyassa had with english. "Can you teach me?" Maddie asked quietly as they stepped into the elevator. She glanced at all the buttons on the pannel and smirked.
"Try it." Maddie encouraged, pointing to the bottom floor button but not pressing it, seeing if Alyassa would try. Maddie found it fun.

On the issue of lunch, Maddie looked up thoughtfully. "Hmm..." she mused, tilting her head back and forth as she thought about it. "I don't know." she would have taken Alyassa's opinion on the matter but she didn't seem to mind at all. "How about that one place we went to last time Dad? With the milkshakes..." Maddie said, she couldn't rememer the name of the place, but they had the best milkshake Maddie had ever had.

Alyassa smile, pressing the button.
"Teach you what?" She asked curiously, frowning for a moment. She had no idea what Maddie wanted to learn. She smiled, "Milkshakes?" The little girl said, eyes growing wide.

"Ah, you mean where we went with Keith?" Demitri asked, nodding his head.
"Sure we can go back there" He smiled, he knew Kristen was encouraging Maddie to eat a healthier diet, but he figured with friends here, and him and Alexi, she was allowed a treat, plus, since it was only an occasional thing, he knew it would be fine.

"How to speak Russian like you and Alexi?" Maddie asked. "Everyone knows how to speak it, but I don't understand." she said, shrugging. She smiled as Alyassa pressed the button, and then the elevator lurched downward.
"Yea. Keith and Demitri took me to this place, and they have the best milkshakes!" Maddie explained. "The best I've ever had."

She grinned, looking back at Demitri with a thankful expression, laughing to herself. She liked Alyassa too, and now she couldn't wait for her party. If there were other kids just like Alyassa coming, it would be a lot of fun.

"Oh, I can try, does your mom speak Russian?" Alyassa asked curiously, smiling. "Okay" She grinned, watching Alexi and Demitri curiously as the elevator lurched downwards, they seemed really scared. She shrugged, her mommy hadn't liked elevators, but she hadn't liked a lot of things. She sighed, brushing those memories aside and smiling at Maddie.
"Whos Keith?" She asked, Keith's name seemed to come up a lot, so she figured Maddie really liked him.

Demitri sighed, stepping thankfully out of the elevator as it stopped, Alexi right on his heels.
"Come on" He said shakily to the girls, two elevator rides in one day was really pushing his limit. Alexi chuckled, "Drive thru and then head home?" He asked curiously, "Yupp, that's what I was thinking"

Maddie nodded. "Yea. Not as well as my Dad and Alexi though." she murmured, shrugging to Alyassa curious look at Alexi and Demitri. "They don't like elevator rides." Maddie whispered, giggling quietly to herself. As the doors opened, Demitri and Alexi were out before she and Alyassa, making Maddie laugh again.

She followed after them eagerly, grinning at Alyassa's question about Keith. "He's my Dad's best friend." Maddie said simply, still grinning in a way that implied there was much more behind it. Maddie couldn't explain it well though, she just had a liking for the angel. "You'll see." Maddie promised. "He's really nice."

Alyassa looked confused, "Don't like ele-elev-those things?" She said, unable to pronouce the difficult word. She shrugged, "Oh, okay" She said simply at the explenation, Maddie seemed to have a lot of grown up friends, all her friends were little, like her. She shrugged, she figued if the little girl had just moved here, she wouldn't know many kids.

Demitri opened the backseat of the SUV, helping Maddie and Alyassa in.
"Alright, so we'll stop and grab some lunch, then head home, okay?" He asked, grinning at the sight of Maddie with a friend. He had texted Kristen to let her know, though he was sure it was fine, besides, making friends seemed to be something Maddie was really good at.

Maddie nodded, pointing back to the elevator to explain what she meant. She smiled as they got to the SUV and Demitri helped them up and into the large back seat.
Maddie frowned at what Demitri told her. "Weren't we supposed to stop somewhere else?" she asked, wondering if maybe she hadn't remembered it right.

Alyassa nodded, shrugging a bit.
"Oh, that's weird" She said, smiling at Demitri as he helped her up. Thank you She murmured softly.
You're welcome Demitri replied, smiling and looking at Maddie.
"Yea, we were gonna stop at Alexi and Maria's new club, but we he misses Maria to much" He said with a small shrug.

He slipped into the driver's seat, heading over to the restaurant and pulling into the drive thru.
"Alright girls, what do you want to eat?" He asked curiously. Alexi sighed, leaning back as he sent Maria a text, letting her know they were headed home.

Maddie nodded, sitting up a bit in her seat as Demitri drove the SUV around the city. As they pulled up in the drive thru, Maddie sat up moreso to look at the pictures on the menu.
"Can I just have the same milkshake?" Maddie asked. "Chocolate please." She wasn't exactly hungry for a lunch meal, but she wanted ice cream, and the milkshake was the next best thing. She had understood Demitri's comment about Alexi missing Maria. They had been apart all day, and Maddie knew they couldn't do that for long-it hurt too much.

Maria checked her phone as it went off, smiling at the fact that it was Alexi. She quickly sent back a reply, glad that'd he be home soon and that he wouldn't believe how much she had managed to get done with Kristen. Who at the moment was trying to find something decent to watch on t.v. They had decided enough for one day about half an hour ago since Maria kept getting side-tracked by the seperation from Alexi.
"They on the way back?" Kristen asked, having not missed the smile on Maria's face.

"Yea, I guess, you'll probably have to have some lunch when you get home" He reminded her, shaking his head and smiling as he ordred for her.
"Alyassa?" He asked curiously. "Same as Maddie, please?" She asked gently, "Yea, sounds good" He murmured, shaking his head and ordering. He got the total and drove around to the other window, paying as he accepted the two milkshakes, handing them to Alexi, who passed them to the girls.
"There" He said, preoccupied by his phone.
"Thank you" Alyassa said, smiling and tasting the milkshake curiously.

Keith yawned, his wings flexing dramatically for a minute, they had re-appeared during his sleep, mainly out of need for them to be free. He sighed, flickering his eyes open for a moment, looking confused.
"Wassgoingon?" He slurred, having no memory of his wings even appearing.

Maddie rolled her eyes gently at Demitri. Yes, she knew she would have to have lunch. They could worry about that when they got home. Milkshakes now. She grinned as Demitri ordered, and then Alexi handed them back. They weren't too large, so Maddie could hold the whole cup in her hands. It took her a few times to get the thick milkshake through the straw, bit it was worth it. The milkshake was a rich blend of milk and the best chocolate ice cream Maddie ever known.
She glanced at Alyassa, wondering what her new friend thought. "Sooo?" She poked, taking another sip from her shake.

Alayna smirked as Keith julted awake. "Relax. Nothings going on." She promised. She had managed to slip behind him on the couch, his head resting on her stomach, his wings outstrecthed just next to her. She'd been running her fingers over them gently as he slept.
"Demitri and Alexi are on their way home." Maria added.
"And Maddie made a friend." Kristen said proudly. She looked over at Keith and smirked. "You're gona have to hide those, Alexi invited the little girl over."

Demitri smirked, pulling onto the highway, letting his mind wander a bit. He did miss Kristen, but he wasn't as bad as Alexi was.

"It's good, really good" Alyassa said, smiling happily. "I like milkshakes" She said, carefully holding her's so she didn't spill. She smiled at Maddie, still curious about her family, she seemed to really like all these different people, but Alyassa was a bit shy, so she wasn't sure how she'd react.
"What do you wanna do when we get to your house?" She asked Maddie softly.

Keith frowned, "What? Kids?' He shook his head, "Fine" He grumbled, "But you owe me" He said, letting his wings disappear from sight. He sighed, yawning and letting his head fall back into Alayna's lap.
"Give me a back massage later?" He asked her curiously, smiling lightly, his head was angled to one side, as he was lying on his stomach. It was a side affect of the wings, he always slept on his stomach.

Maddie grinned, glad that Alyassa liked the milkshake as well. She sipped from her again, being careful not to take too much lest she get a brain freeze like last time. Those were annoying.
"Um..." Maddie trailed off. She hadn't exactly thought ahead too far. She wanted to introduce Alyassa to everyone, but that wasn't exactly gonna take all day. "We could play in my room." She suggested. "Or in the game room. We have movies we can watch there too." Maddie said, sipping her milkshale again.

Kristen smirked, sipping from her bottle quietly. She was hoping to finish before Demitri got back. She highly doubted he would like the fact that she needed another one. Usually one bottle would do the trick, maybe even half. Not today though...sighing, Kristen put the thought out of her mind.
"Yea I owe you one, put it on my tab." Kristen teased, taking another sip..
Alayna laughed quietly at the two before letting her hands drop as Keith's wings vanished. She nodded to Keith with a smile. "Sure. I'll even fix the feathers again if you bring them out later."

Demitri chuckled, listening to the girls as they pulled into the drive way. He smiled as Alexi practically bolted form the car, running inside.
"Maria?" He sang out, sliding into her and picking her up and kissing her happily. "I missed you" He sang out, cuddling against her for a moment, sighing tiredly. He really, really enjoyed being back with her again.

Demitri rolled his eyes, helping Alyassa and Maddie down from the SUV and smiling.
"Come on guys, I'm sure you'll come up with plenty to do" He said, "Maddie has enough toys to build a toy store with anyway" He said, smiling and letting them run ahead of them.

Alyassa smile, "Wow" She said, looking at Maddie before nodding and letting Demitri help her down.
"Nice house" She mumbled, grinning lightly and looking around and following after Maddie curiously, letting her lead the way and what not.

Keith glanced up as Alexi busted in.
"Deal" He murmured to Alayna, not bothering to move for the time being, he was completely content, and well, if people wanted him to move, they could drag him up.
"You are exceedingly comfortable" He murmured to Alayna happily, wrapping his arms around her legs, basically holding her like one would a pillow.

Kristen walked back into the living room after tossing the empty bottle away. Just in time too. "Three...two...one..." Kristen muttered, and then Alexi burst through the doors, calling out for Maria like some broadway actor on West Side story. Alayna covered her mouth to surpess a laugh, but she doubt the mated vampires would even notice. Looking down at Keith, Alayna smirked. "Am I really?"

"Alexi!" Maria laughed as he came into the room and swept her up in his arms. Which left amazing. She laughed again and nodded. "I missed you too darling."


"Wait, it gets better." Maddie promised, scampering after Demitr up the front door steps and opening the door. She heard the sound of her family coming from the living room and grinned. Good, they were all in one place. "Come on." Maddie said, linking her arm with one of Alyassa and leading the way to the living room.
"Well look who's home!" Kristen said with a light smirk. "Who's your friend Maddie?"
"Her name's Alyassa." Maddie said, and then quietly for Alyassa to hear. "That's my mom."
