Welcome to Hills High School

Kevari was quiet for a moment as the autumn-paved sidewalks passed by outside the Mustang's windows.
"I think... it's one of those 'Dont ask, Adrian' moments." Apparently his closest friend hadn't forgotten, and if he knew Adrian at all, it was that he never let things go once he got his teeth in them.

Adrian let out a pained groan.
"You suck" He grumbled under his breath, pulling up to the valet parking. Odviously the valet recognized him and Kevari, as he practically ran over to get the car.
"Thanks, get it back to me in good condition, and I'll tip you well" He told the valet, ensuring his car would be treated with the utmost respect. Walking inside, he whistled appreciatively.
"Who knew seventh ave would actually have a decent looking restaurant" He said with a smile. The waitress quickly sat them, by passing most of the line. It was good to live their life. Once seated, he turned his attention back to Kevari.
"Dude, I haven't seen you that aggitated in awhile, I'm sorta worried man. You gotta tell me what's up. I feel like I'm missing something? Unless you're like, I dunno, crushing on Maddi or something" He teased, trying to lighten the mood.

((Sorry they're getting shorter, I'm getting tired >.<))

"Um, sure, yeah, I'm crushing on Maddi," he said distractedly, watching the waitress return with drinks. "Do you want to get an appetizer? The shrimp looks good."

Adrian gaped.
"Did you even hear me?" He said, rolling his eyes and taking a sip of his drink. It drove him crazy when Kevari wouldn't tell him what was going on.
"Like are you actually crushing on Maddie?" He said, mouth agape. He had never actually seen his friend crushing on someone before, and was reluctant to actually believe that he was crushing on someone.
"Sure, shrimp, fine" He said, shaking his head and glaring at his friend, well practically his brother.

"What?" He said, snapping back.
"Why the hell would I be crushing on Maddi? She's a little girl, why would you even ask something wierd like that? And stop looking at me like that, you look like you just saw Professor Balzar trying to floss between his toes."

Adrian rolled his eyes.
"Well when I asked you before, you said that you were crushing on her. You were pretty zoned out though" He said, shaking his head.
"So odviuosly you're not madly in love. Then what is it?" He whined, pouting, the face was priceless, it had been used in add campaigns all over the world. Adrian had modeled a few times, and had been asked to do more, though he had refused for the time being.
"That would be hilarious" He said, still pouting, the look would put puppy dogs to shame.
He frowned and took another sip of his drink.
"Seriously, is there something going on?"

"There's nothing going on, mkay? Just let it drop. I don't want to talk about it."
Contradictory, but it was all Adrian was going to get for now. There was very little point in bringing it up... not to mention it would be completely awkard between them.
"Listen... I'm not really that hungry. I'm just going to head back, it's not too far of a walk. I'll catch you after school, ok?" Pulling the collar of his coat up against the upcoming cold, he left a fifty on the table and walked out without another word.

((*passes out in front of laptop*

Anyone who needs to jump back in/join, you can either run into me on the way back to school, run into Adrian whereever he's ending up for the next couple of blocks, or jump straight ot after school))

'Dude, don't leave" Adrian said, sighing. He hated eating alone, it completely defeated the purpose. Tossing down another fifty he stood up, following Kevari from the restaurant.
"I'll drop it already, just don't bail on me" He said, his voice falling a pitch. He nodded at the valet who ran to bring his car around and he sighed, looking at his friend with sad eyes.
"So, uh, mom texted me, she was wondering if you'd like, pack for her for Milan" He said, trying to change the subject and get his friend back on a happier note. He sighed, something was odviously really bugging Kevari, but he let it go, for now. He ran his fingers through his hair, scrutinizing the valet who was navigating the mustang through an incredibly crowded lot.

OOC:: Mystik, I can send you a summary. It'll be really easy to catch up, you can alwys pretend to be in the library or class.

OOC:: Alright, well Pineapple's characters (Harry and Maddi) are in the lounge, well Maddi was in Calculus class with Kevari, but I'm going to assume she's back in the lounge for lunch.
Adrian and Kevari are down town for lunch, but had a small 'tiff' and are coming back to the school.
If you want, you can bump into any of these characters, just pretend you were in the cafeteria or something.

Kairi's patience was wearing thin now. Her first class had been chem (which she hated, no matter how nice the teacher was), her second class had been English (another unfavored subject), and all throughout the day, kids had been muttering under their breaths about her. Of course, Kairi had no soild proof, but the odd glances and snickers weren't exactly pointing away from her.

After her second class, Kairi went back to her locker, stripping off the tatter white shirt, and staying with the baby blue cami. At least this was still in tact...Kairi thought, shaking her head. She was starting to wake up, and her mind was working in full gear. She remembered why both those boy's she had seen this morning looked familiar (she had read about one of them in a magazine two days ago) and she soon realized why everyone was giving her weird looks. Her clothes weren't exactly 'in style'. Kairi muttered to herself angrily, slamming her locker and heading out of the hallway to get lunch.

She stopped, mid way through the door. She didn't even feel hungry. Right now, she felt down right sick. Walking outside, Kairi turned to look up at the school. Yep, she recogninzed it. This was the school for the children of stars. No wonder she felt so out of place. She wasn't exactly the daughter of a movie star. Yea her Dad was well known throughout academics...but hardly no one (except those in academic community) payed attention much. That was the way Kairi got into this school to begin with; her father had arranged everything.

Now, Kairi wished he hadn't. She needed someplace to go now, but skipping school wasn't much of an option for her. Putting her headphones in and turning the volume down slightly, Kairi headed back into the school. She doubted any of these celebritiy borns would be caught in the library at lunch time. Kairi ran her fingers through her hair as she walked, staring at the floor as she thought. It wasn't her greatest idea, since it lead into her bumping into someone. "Hey watch it-" was her New York instant reaction. Seeing the boy from this morning, Kairi blinked and pulled a headphone from her ear. "Oh, sorry. Didn't notice it was you." she said quietly.

Adrian sighed, having dropped of Kevari for his next class, the tall, statuesque dark haired teen jumped when someone bumped into him.
"Oh?" He looked down a the girl from the morning, shocked. "Yea, it's me" He said, a lazy grin spreading across his face as he brushed off his jacket. He ran his fingers through his hair, frowning, "Sorry, guess I wasn't watching where I was going" He mumbled softly. He knew if Kevar had been here, the girl would've gotten yelled at for mussing the stylish jacket and stuff. He brushed his fingers through his hair again, feeling akward. He had been so caught up in his thoughts about his friend and the issue with the twins that he hadn't even realized he was walking through the school.
"I'm Adrian by the way" He said extending his hand, so that he could shake her's.

Kairi sighed, shifting the weight of her shoulder bag slightly. She smiled lightly, shaking Adrian's hand. "Adrain Black right?" she asked, narrowing her eyes slightly. This was the one she had read an article about not to long ago. "I'm Kairi. I wasn't exactly paying much attention either." she muttered her second sentence quietly, taking her hand back. She smiled a slight apology with a small shrug.

"Yea, that would be me" Adrian said, not at all suprised that she knew he was.
"Kairi" He repeated, commiting the name to memory.
"I guess we were both lost in thought then huh?" He said, he could feel stares on him, he was, after all, talking to the new, unknown girl.
"So how to you like The Hills so far? Can't be what you're used to" He asked, it was true, no other school was like this one. He nodded to a bench, "Care to sit?" He asked, walking over and sinking down, resting his back against the wall, and stretching his legs out. He was still exahusted, and he was sort of desperate for some sleep, even though he knew that he probably wouldn't be in bed till after midnight, at least tonight. Not with the art show and all that stuff.

Kairi nodded as Adrian said her name right and shrugged. "One could say that." her eyes darted around the hallway, hearing the quiet whispers of shock and confusion. Kairi bit her lip slightly as Adrain walked over to the wall and sat down. After a while though, she sat down next to him.
"Yea. I'm still adjusting..." Kairi said, letting her eyes wander about the hallway for another moment. She chuckled slightly. "Isn't bad for your image to be talking to the new girl?" she asked, slightly sarcastic as she turned her music up just enough to drown out all the other talking.

Adrian shrugged, "I think it's pretty hard to damage my rep at thsi point" He siad with a slightly egostistical smile. He was definately conceited, but he was, like all the students at the Hills, entitled to that. It came with the territory. He glanced down at the phone, he was supposed to be in biology, but he really had no desire to go. He smiled at Kairi, "Yea, it can take awhile. Most of the students here have known eachother since preschool. We've done everything together, so it can be pretty hard to actually get accepted into the crowd" He said, nodding his head at a few girls walked by. One of them happened to be his ex, but you didn't really hold grudges here, unless it warranted. He glanced down at his iPhone again, wincing as he saw another text from that girl from Paris.
"Leave me alone" He grumbled at the text.

"Huh..." Kairi said, nodding slightly. She didn't fully understand, but she didn't say anything about it. Not one of those typical teen-aged girls that waited impatiently each month for their copy of a teen magazine or another, Kairi was a bit out of the loop. Moreso than usualy considering the school she was now in.
"That must be frustrating..." Kairi said, her eyes widending at the thought of having known a group of people for that long. She didn't care much for fitting in...God only knew when her Dad would get a promotion, or her mom would be transfered to some other place and then they would have to move again.
She raised an eyebrow, hearing Adrian grump. "Ex-girlfriend?" she asked curiously before looking back out distantly at the hallway. Even though it didn't look like Kairi was paying attention much, she was.

Adrian glanced up, "Nah, it doesn't really bother me. I mean that guy you saw me with earlier, he's like my best friend, pretty much all my friends here are like that. It's normal, for us" He said shrugging. He glanced back at the phone.
"Honestly, I don't even know. It's some chick I met in Paris, I don't even know what we did, but apparantly she's now madly in love with me" He laughed and shrugged. It was something he was used too. There were a lot of weekends in his life that he didn't remember all to well, and only Kevari seemed to be able to remind him, not to mention save his ass on numerous occasions from doing something that was beyond his normal stupidity limit.

ooc: and I'm back and just finished catching up! haha...and now...to posting! (Haha I'm interested to see what Icey can come up with as to why her charrie hates the twins. I'm good with whatever Icey, so have at it! XD)
