Welcome to Hills High School

Kairi couldn't help but laugh at the guy. She shook her head, putting her music back in. She flipped through a few songs before looking back up at Adrain and Kevari. Sighing, Kairi made sure her locker was closed, and locked, before walking past the duo, heading back outside. She needed some air.

Running her fingers through her hair, Kairi let out a deep breath as she pushed the hallway door open. The sun hit her hotly, but it was balanced with a nice breeze. Kairi found a vacant bench and quickly sat down, turning her head into the wind. She still had some time to kill before her first class.

"Coffee" Adrian said again, ignoring the whole "homeroom, classroom" comment.
"Yea she was, she was simply furious" He said, letting Kevari move him where he chose.
"I couldn't believe it. Paris wasn't even contrite, she just laughed and them proceeded to slop wine everywhere" He said rolling his eyes. He didn't even bother talking to the girl, his friend had taken care of that, and he didn't really feel a need too.
"Coffee?" He said again, slipping his car keys from his pocket and dangling them in front of his friend.

Raising an eyebrow delicately, Kevari's good humour continued. "So are you leading me to believe that you bothered to show up this early just to ditch for.. coffee? Tell me you've got something better up your sleeve other than a new Mustang from your mum. What, did she give that to you before or after the wine affair?" Batting his eyelashes coyly, he shouldered his friend towards the car. "Or did you show up just to see me?" Hopping the side in as Adrian unlocked the door, he scowled slightly catching the unkempt girl's profile in the mirror. "But what the hell is up with the riffraff? She isn't the only one."

"Mustang's from Dad actually" Adrian said, laughing softly before sliding in. He laughed and started the engine, smiling as it purred to life.
"After the wine affiar though. Mom convinced Dad I needed a new car, my other one was three years old. She told him I had been such a help at the awards ceremony, particularly after Hilton dumped her wine all over her, that I deserved a little something" He smiled but frowned as he saw the girl in the mirror.
"I don't even think she knows what school she's even going to. Hopefully someone will fill her in soon" He smiled at his friend as they headed towards the mall. Though it was cliche, it had one of the best cafe's in town.
"I came to drag you out of here. You rarely skip" He said, sliding his sunglasses down onto his face.
"So did you hear? Apparantly Melissa Duke broke the rules. Her parents are sending her to some finishing school in Europe. Girls only"

Kairi looked around, notcing that she was pretty much by herself outside. She sighed with slight relief. Pulling out one of her headphones to make sure she wasn't too loud, Kairi began to sing.

It was one of her top rated songs, Breaking the Habit, by Linkin Park, and although she never really payed attention to herself, other's said she was pretty good at it. Leaning back against the bench, Kairi looked up at the sky, the lyrics rolling from her peferctly.

"I don't know what's worth fighting for, or why I have to scream.
I don't know why I instigate, and say what I don't mean.
I don't know how I got this way, I'll never be alright.
So I'm breaking the habit, I'm breaking the habit tonight."

Kairi quickly stopped, hearing the bell ringing overhead. She cursed quietly before turning off her ipod, shoving it into her pocket and heading off to her first class.

"Well she's certainly got the attitude down right. Maybe she's going through that whole 'rebel against the media' phase most of us pulled off when we were about 11. Remember when you were into grunge metal? I'm never sewing studs onto a jacket for you again, my friend, not for all the coffee in the world." Watching the mirror as they pulled out of site of the school, he flicked the side of Adrian's head knowing he would be busy watching the road.
"Of course I don't skip! You know how my parents are: be good in the public eye and you can do whatever the hell you want otherwise. School is the public's eye and I'm the mascara. At least for another two years. After that, sigh-oh-nara Hills."
Hearing the news about Melissa, he grinned. "That little tramp doesn't deserve that! Can you imagine! A school full of desperate girls without boyfriends desperate for some male attention.. imagine all the dresses I could make them." Mimicking the school's seamstress, he clucked and fluttered "Oh yess deary, you'll be needing a size double D for the top, and oh yes darling your skirt's far too long let me hem that up for you. Oh, there's the turn. We'd better make it quick though, my second class's Calc and if I miss that I'm dead."

Adrian rolled his eyes.
"Lord, don't remind me of those days. My dad was so proud, I thought my mother would die however" He shuddered theatrically. Adrian sort of had his own style, mainly controlled by Kevari, who seemed to get a kick out of dressing him, he felt like a manikin (Sp) on a daily basis.
"My parents don't care if I skip, as long as I pass. Although my mom's made it pretty easy for me to do that. She basically donated an entire wing to the school. The new library and gym are going down there. As far as the school's concerned, I can do no wrong at this point" He said with a casual grin as he pulled into a parking spot and slid out.
"Melissa deserved it, she was caught, she knows the rules" He slid his sunglasses up on top of his head, rolling his eyes.
"You, my friend, would have far to much fun working at a school like that" He teased, laughing at his friend' imitation. "We should visit" He laughed.

"What, and leave our precious school at a time like this? Oh no, I wouldn't want to miss the the grande opening ceremony of the Black gym and library. What kind ofcrap are they filling that one up with, anyway? We've already got the Beckham Earth Sciences speciality library on the third floor, and the Jackson Memorial Humanities library going up on the fifth floor." Sipping the skim Amretto latte he'd ordered, he waved his hand nonchalantly. "But forget the library. What's more important i the stranger's that've been showing up. You've gotta help me out friend, my curiousity is getting the best of me. So far I've seen her," he placed his hands against his ears to create 'headphones' and closed his eyes as if listening to music, "a nerdy kid with wierd glasses and a fat kid. I don't mean 120 pounds fat. I mean... so obese I couldn't tell if it was a guy or a girl. At The Hills!"

Adrian sipped his cappucino, his shiny Black credit card sitting on the counter before he slipped it into his black, Gucci, for men, wallet. He sighed soflty and sat down, sliding his black, iPhone on the table.
"I have no idea. All I know is that that library and gym are my ticket to actually graduating" He said, shrugging.
"Politcal Science now that I think about it" He laughed. "I saw that person, the fat one. Damn near ran me over this morning on my way to my locker. Oh, that reminds me, do you want to share? I know you hate suffering through the two screaming females on either side of yours. And you know I rarely use mine" He said with a wolfish grin.
"I have no idea why these people are showing up, perhaps scholarship kids?"

"Grah, I thought you'd never ask. I don't even understand what they're screaming half the time. Something about the Timberlake guy, the one with the awful hat. Pft, to use your locker you might actually have to pick up the textbooks from your classes. By the way I saw that secret stash of Hershey's and you-know-what in the bottom of your locker, and I want in on some of that. And none of that screaming business, thank you." Cocking his head, he grabbed his vibrating phone off the table and walked towards the parking lot. "Scholarship kids? Waddya mean? It's not like a couple of grants are going to get you into The Hills."

Ooc: sure, that'll work. Ill just tell you who are the parents of my charries and pics of them before I jump in just so I have a referance.

Adrian laughed, "Fine" He said, shaking his head and rolling his eyes.
"You are entirely to inqusitive for your own nature" His own phone buzzed and he glanced down at it, just a random text from one of the chicks he had met in Europe, picking up his phone he deleted it. She had been a random fling, nothing more. "I dunno, my mom was talking about it this morning, something about scholarships and some really smart kids" He shrugged. "I wasn't really listening, I was to busy trying not to pass out in my breakfast" He said, putting his phone back down on the table and glancing around.
"Same combo by the way" He said, meaning his locker. He rolled his eyes and yawned, he was most definately not a morning person.

I know hey Icey? I thought it was the perfect comment.

"Like I'd forget it, it's your birthdate. If I'm too inquisitive, you're too typical! No wonder you're jetlagged, forgetting about the timezone difference."
Arriving at the school, the two teens hopped out of the car. Together, they made a pretty pair, both with perfect dark hair and the statuesque faces of those who have everything and know it. The air seemed colder without the myriad groups of students on the main lawns, most of them having left or attended their classes. "Should we just chill out here until next block? Or do you want to wait inside?" Although it wasn't freezing, the wind had picked up and the autumn trees trickled leaves down on the dying lawn.

Ooc: okay so the two are twins (Maddi and Harry Valentine) and are the kids of Steve Valentine and Emily Rose... And here's what they look like:

Adrian yawned again, pocketing his keys after making sure the doors were locked. He glacned at Kevari, smiling and ruffing a hand through his hair.
"Urgh, I dunno. We could always head to the senior lounge?" He asked, each grade had a private lounge, there were TV's, computers, for those who didn't bring their laptops to school, video games, food, tons of things. The Hills catered to their exclusive student body well. He glanced around, spying a picnic table nearby.
"Or we could just sit out here?" He said, tossing his empty cup into the trash and looking at his friend, shrugging.
"I know, I'm way out of it. Hey, so wanna spend the weekend at my place? Parents are going to Milan or something for two weeks, I'm thiking party?" He asked, rather suddenly. That was how Adrian worked, he was terribly implusive, not that his parents cared, just as long as he didn't break the rules.

Ooc: oh yah! how do you want me to jump in?

OOC: At school. Both mine and Icey's characters are back now, so you can just jump in somehow. Just make sure you're at school.
Also, Icey, my screen was normal one second, and then -boom- COLOURS!
Heh, it startled me, I thought something was wrong with my comp, then I saw your little service alert.

ooc: haha that freaked me out too! anywho...my intro'll be up in a minute. (oh and by the way they both have british accents like their father)

"Milan? Milan? Fashion capital of the world? They should've taken me! Agh! Your mom's probably going to wear the purple chiffon dress she has and disgrace yourself. Can you text her and let her know not to wear the pumps with that? And let your dad know that fuschia is where it's at in Milan right now. Italy, right? We could ask Massio to cater, he should be free this weekend. Wait, aren't those Italian dancer chicks in this week, for the Rose Festival? Maybe we can get them to come. C'mon we'll head to the lounge and I can check up their schedule. Hope no one's already using the computers - they're site's not showing up on my phone. Why can't people get with the tehnology these days?"
Stomping the mud off his shoes, Kevari made his way along the hallway towards the lounge with many a hand motions, excited at the prospect of planning something. That was the way it worked between the two: Adrian had the spark and Kevari had the know-how.

Adrian just gaped at his friend, wordlessly handing him his phone.
"Uh, you can text them" He said in a slightly stunned voice, his friend never ceased to amaze him, particularly when it came to fashion.
"I take it you're just going to plan this party?" He said, motioning for his friend to stop at his locker, reaching inside he pulled out his macbook.
"Here, you can use mine. No line that way" He mumbled, yawning again. He turned and headed towards the Senior Lounge, swiping his student I.D. in the door so that they could get in. He stepped inside, tossing his jacket on the floor and rubbing his eyes, "Ugh, I should've faked sick" He grumbled, flopping onto one of the leather chairs, beat.

Juggling the macbook, phone and briefcase, Kevari chucked the iPhone back at Adrian. "I've got my own phone, I just didn't want to lug around my mac on the first day. What, would you like to plan the party?" Spinning on his heel in front of the couch, he grinned and shoved the macbook into Adrian's reclined chest. "Be my guest. Make sure to order enough ice this time, mkay? Remember, each person needs a couple of cubes, not a whole bag each. Although the freezing pool was pretty neat." That, of course, had been Adrian's idea. Pulling off a polar bear dip in the middle of summer was priceless.
