This Mask is Not Me

Vaix watched her with an amused smile, then attempted to catch more for her, purring as he managed to catch numerous amounts of them, but letting Shaye keep her own before he dumped her with snowflakes. He was happy, even if life had lost some of it's appeal, he was still very interested in life, he'd never really lost his interest, and in the dark times where he wanted to die, it had only been because of how lonely he'd been, not how bored he was.

Shaye glanced at the small pile of snow in Vaix's hands.
"Having fun?" She asked, letting the flake fall off of her hand and disolve in the water. She watched, amazed that she could pinpoint the exact moment that the flake melted.
"Wow" She said, amazed at her own senses.

Vaix paused to watch her, then smirked and proceeded to drop all the flakes he'd caught into the water afterwards right in front of her. Amused with her reactions to her newly heightened senses. To be honest, he couldn't remember ever having different ones. He only every remembered hearing everything, seeing everything, smelling all there was to smell. He purred and watched her.

Green eyes sparkled as they watched the flakes. She was still shocked by her new life, knowing that she amused the others a lot. She laughed, bending over the water to better watch the flakes.
"I don't think I'll ever get used to this" She said, knowing she would, eventually, they all did.

"I hope not, you sure are fascinated easily. It's funny..." He chuckled softly, then went ahead with trying to catch more flakes, he was loving this, it was great, Shaye was fascinated with her knew life, and he was fascinated with her fascination. He purred again, loving all of this.

"Funny?" She said, looking at him and pouting, even though she was only teasing him a bit. She frowned, looking at him with green, puppy dog eyes.
"Meany" She said, but turned her attention back to the dissolving snow flakes.

Vaix laughed at her reaction, catching more snowflakes with his hands and dropping them into the water for Shaye to be facinated with. He loved this, even if she thought him a 'meany' for it.

Shaye gently jabbed him with her elbow.
"Sheesh" She teased, although her pupils were darting back and forth, completely caught up in watching the flakes. She loved it, the fact that she could see every little detail. She just didn't see how she'd adjust to this, it seemed impossible.

vaix couched slightly as he was jabbed with her elbow, then frowned, and dumped his collection of snowflakes in her head instead. Smiling teasingly at her as he did, "sheesh!" he repeated with a laugh. Smiling joyfully at the wad of snow stuck in her hair, it wouldn't melt, which made things even funnier.

Shaye gasped and looked at Vaix with mischevious green eyes.
"Dumping snow in your girlfriend's hair now? That's not very nice" She said in a sing song voice, before shaking the snow free and brushing out a few flakes with her good hand.
She sighed and looked down at the water, before flicking her hand up and spalshing him.

Vaix jumped in surprise as she splashed him, growling playfully as he stared at her, dripping wet. "No fair!" he whined, being as how she could drench him in water, and he couldn't do a thing to splash her back. He gave a pouty looking cute face. Head down turned while his eyes stared up at her in a puppy dog manner, complete with the pouty frown.

"All's fair in love and war" Shaye said with a small, teasing grin. She sighed, before leaning over and kissing him lightly. He was incredibly adorable when he pouted like this, but it was not going to work on her. She sighed and turned away from him, her attention drifting back to the slopes of the hill and the people on them. Never before had she been able to see with such clarity.

Vaix rolled his eyes at the age old saying she'd put upon him, then smiled as she kissed him, the look leaving his face instantly as he watched her with a curious tilt of his head. He was happy being around her, even if she drenched him in water, or complained about having snow dumped on her, none of it mattered in a negative way, everything was special and unforgettable.

Shaye rested her back against Vaix, letting him support her weight for the time being.
"Love you" She murmured, closing her eyes for a moment. She sighed, now focusing on the sounds around her. There were so many sounds, and she was aware of them all, it was strange. She hadn't really focused on her new sense yet. But now she had a chance too.

Vaix supported her weight easily, seeing as how Shaye really didn't weigh much, he smiled and kissed her softly in return. "I love you too," he muttered, face buried up in her hair as he kissed her almost repeatedly, eyes running over the landscape.

Shaye sighed, "Goods" She mumbled. Sighing softly and opened her eyes for a minute.
"I love this place" She said softly, her eyes sparkling and letting her eyes wander over the hill again. She could hear the noise from the dying room, "Parties started" She commented, smiling up at him and knowing he'd never want to go.

Vaix smiled at her, the expecting look in her eyes. It confused him for a minute, then he gave a sigh and looked over where the noise was coming from. "Did you want to go?" he asked with an almost defeated sigh, he knew it would cause only trouble, and he was worried for her, but he also knew just how active he was, and keeping her still like this could become cruel easily.

"Not tonight. I was just amazed that I could hear the music and stuff so clearly" She said, knowing that it was a really bad idea if they were to go. She leaned back, resting against him comfortably.
"I'd rather stay in tonight, just chilling with you" She said, sighing contently. Maybe tomorrow she'd go out or something, but tonight it just didn't seem like a good idea.

"Alright," he had to retrain himself from saying 'good' instead. It seemed to rude to say that. He lay his head against hers now, "you're listening to such a close target, you know. Why not try to listen to something really far away?" He smiled, waiting for her answer.

"Like what?" Shaye asked, having issues with believing that the dance, in the bottom floor of the hotel, on the far side. Sighing she sat up a bit, but didn't really break contact with Vaix, enjoying cuddling with him like this.
"I don't really know how to work all these crazy senses yet" She admitted, laughing a bit at her own silliness.

"I know, that's why I suggested it." He smiled, then sighed, "see how far your hearing goes, just listen, when you come to something that catches your attention, try to go beyond that and so on, tell me when thing start to sound faint..." He started playing absentmindedly with her hair, smiling contently as she cuddled up against him.

Shaye shrugged.
"I'll try" She said, closing her eyes. Sighing she let her mind wander, and was stunned when she realized she could hear the people on the slopes, far below them talking. Hear them fairly clearly. Grinning she tried again, focusing further, searching until, shocked she heard Keith's sleepy volce.
"Wow" She murmured, eyes opening in shock.

Keith yawned.
"Mm, how long was I out?" He said, glancing at the still asleep Igg. He rolled his head to one side, looking at Roxa through sleepy eyes.

Vaix smiled at her reaction and laughed, "how far did you get? At least to Keith's? Or where you going in a different direction?" He was curious, but her fascination was so amusing, he wanted to hear all about it.

Roxa smiled, she'd been out while Keith had slept, eaten, and brought something back for Keith as well, the dead person lay limply on the table, waiting to be eaten. She shrugged at him, "an hour, hour and a half..." She smiled, lifting a hand and running her fingers through his hair gently, then glancing at Iggy, whom was still out cold in Keith's lap.

"Keith's" Shaye said, smiling at Vaix. She was still stunned with her new abilities, but didn't have the attention span to focus to much right now. She sighed and stood up, letting the water drip off of her back into the hot tub.
"Come on, let's go watch a movie or something" She said, stepping out of the hottub and back indoors.

Vaix watched her, then stood and followed closely, trailing along after her picking up his scattered clothes as he did, still dripping wet, he made his way to the washroom momentarily to pick up a towel, then follow her over to the couch where the TV and DVD player were.
