This Mask is Not Me

Keith tumbled off the couch, staring at Vaix with wide eyes.
"Vaix, wh-what the hell?" He said, eyes growing wide as he leapt up, looking out the window. There were cops everywhere, and an incredibly frantic Vaix, but no Shaye. He looked around, looking at Vaix with confused eyes.
"Vaix, what's wrong?" He asked, wincing at the loud noise of sirens. Something was odviously wrong right now, Vaix rarely ever freaked out, but he had completely lost it.

Iggy jumped at Vaix's sudden entrance, then instinctively ran upstairs in fear of the sirens. Roxa was staring at Vaix in shock, then at the cops, then at Iggy as he took off. "Keith, I'm going to check on Iggy before he gets to wound up..." then she ran upstairs after the panicked vampire. Iggy hated surprises.

Vaix ran in, glancing at Roxa as she spoke, then took Keith's hand and bolted out, dragging the other vampire along with him. "Adrian," he breathed as he ran, his voice panicked and talking at a speeded rate, "Adrian came over to visit, but I was hungry, after he left Shaye forced me to hunt, when I came back Shaye was gone and Adrian left his god dam signature note for me..." He ran around again, letting Keith's hand go as he finished and bolting around, still being chased by cops, calling out for Shaye like a miserable cat's wail.

Keith nodded to Roxa.
"Don't let the cops inside" He called as he was dragged from the house. He stared in horror at the scene Vaix had managed to create, before turning his attention to Vaix.
"What? Adrian?" He was about to ask what he was doing here, then it clicked, as soon as Shaye was mentioned.
"Damn" He hissed, "Vaix, take me to the hotel. Go fast, we need to lose the cops" He said, turning and darting away, his speed was that so that he was but a blur to the humans. Hopefully the cops would stick around here. He got closer to the hotel, slowing a bit so that Vaix could show him the room he and Shaye had been staying in.

Shaye whimpered, they were near an airport now, she could hear the engines. Her heart as ripping, it hurt, horribly. She felt Adrian pulling her into the bundle again, she was to out of it, to sad to even focus.

Vaix raced after Keith as fast as he could, walking inside the hotel building and to the room, then suddenly with a sharp defeated sob, he fell over limply. His chest felt incredibly pressured. To the point of it hurting beyond belief. He started to claw at it for some sort of relief. "Shaye," he squeaked, unable to take it anymore. It hurt, he needed her.

"Vaix, damnit. I need your help" Keith snapped, dragging the other vampire up. He knew it hurt, he kenw Vaix needed to be with Shaye, but he needed Vaix's help finding her.
"Please, come on. We need to find his scent, we can track him that way" He said, tryihg to give Vaix some hope so that he would get up and help him. Keith began to poke around the room, he moved towards the window, Adrian's scent, mixed with Shaye's finally.
"I have a scent" He murmured, smiling a bit.

Vaix stood, watching Keith with dull pained eyes as he searched them room, then his eyes widened as Keith found something to work off of. "Yeah?" he breathed, limping over to Keith and leaning against the wall. He wanted to find her, but his body seemed to plead the idea of curling up in a corner and ripping his heart out until she came back.

Keith swore, "I'll drag you with me if I have to" He warned, hopping out onto the window ledge, sighing, he looked back at Vaix.
"Coming?" He had found a trail to work off of, which was good, for now. "Before the trail goes cold" He said, looking at Vaix with desperate eyes.

Shaye whimpered, Adrian was being gentle, but her heart hurt so bad. She scratched at it, feeling her own blood beneath her sharp fingers. Adrian sighed, pulling her arm back.
"Behave" He snapped, though he was still being beyond kind.

"Yeah," Vaix whispered, obviously depressed, he crawled out after Keith, leaping down and looking until he caught the scent again, then, as fast as he could go without collapsing, he wandered after the trail with droopy, unfocused eyes. He continued to call out for her, though his voice was soft and defeated sounding. He wanted her back, how he wanted her back, but he hurt.

Keith sighed, they were in a car now, but he could still scent Adrian's distinct scent.
"Vaix, do you want me to go alone?" He asked, looking at his friend sadly. Vaix was sick, he could tell, and the pain of being sepereated from Shaye was hurting him. He knew it would only get better if Shaye was back. Sighing, he shook his head, "Vaix?" He asked, the trail was getting cold, and he wanted to find his sister, desperately.

"Shaye, stop" Adrian said, sighing. He looked out at his plane, it wasn't ready to take off yet, it would be soon though. He looked down at the shaking, whimpering girl, and smiled. Despite her attitude, he was very happy to have finally aquired her.

Vaix didn't stop as Keith talked to him, he did however, look over his shoulder as he walked. "You can run ahead Keith, I'll catch up...I'm just tired." He continued to wander like a lost soul after Shaye's scent. His body begged him to curl up somewhere dark instead, but he wouldn't do that, not with her scent right here. Waiting for him to follow it. "Go Keith," he encouraged with a monotone, dead sounding voice.

Keith hesitated, instead of running off, he turned, grabbing Vaix and hoisting him over his shoulder. He couldn't stand to abandoned Vaix, but he also couldn't wait for him to catch up. Turning, he tore after the car, slowing only when he saw the limo, parked, by a private plane. The scent was intoxicatingly strong now, setting Vaix down, he nodded at the limo.
"She's in there" He murmured, grinning.

Adrian stroked Shaye's hair absentmindedly. He pulled her arm into his lap, unwrapping it. It was completely healed, but something was wrong, he could tell.
"Do you have use of your fingers?" He demanded, frowning when she shook her head. He noticed the silver colour under her nails. "Silver blood?" He asked, smiling again now.
"Yea"

Vaix looked up at the sight of the car, he'd let Keith lug him around without saying anything. It was getting him there faster after all. Though, the closer he got to her the better he felt, and soon, as Keith paused, he twisted violently out of Keith's arms, staring at the limo with narrowed eyes. He bared his fangs, then rushed at it. He wanted Shaye, but he would beat the sense out of Adrian first.

Adrian stepped from the car, cradling Shaye. The plane was ready, and soon he would be gone, with his prize. Smiling, he failed to notice how animated Shaye was becoming. Then, the scent hit him, cursing, he turned dropping Shaye in startled suprise as Keith tackeled him to the ground.

Shaye let out a startled curse as she hit the ground. Wincing she sat up, looking around she saw Keith and Vaix, and smiled. She stood up and rubbed her arm, suprised when she felt no pain.
"Va-Vaix? Keith?" She said, eyes wide and looking at them happily. Outwardly she was ecstatic, but she was also terrified inside. She had been kidnapped, and she began to shake with a deep rooted fear.

Vaix had landed on the car when he'd lunged, due to it's still moving when he'd leapt, Keith had beaten him to Adrian, for which he growled. Then stopped, and looked over as Shaye said his name, he gave a soft sigh of relief. "Shaye," he purred, "are you hurt?" She didn't look hurt, but he wanted to be sure...

Shaye looked at Vaix, stunned.
"N-No, I don't think so" She murmured softly, watching Keith, who held Adrian, pinned to the ground. Adrian was smiling, though she had no idea why.
"Keith, how good to see you again" Adrian said, his voice silky smooth. Keith growled, but didn't respond. He turned his eyes to Vaix, waiting to see what his friend wanted to do with Adrian.
"Vaix?" Keith asked, trying to capture his friend's attention.

Vaix gave a relieved sigh, stretching out a hand to her face, and laying it to her cheek for a second. "I really missed you," he whispered softly, then glanced over as Keith as him about Adrian, he narrowed his eyes at the smooth smile on his face. "Honestly Keith, kill him. Rip out his dam fast talking tongue, and kill him." He looked back down at Shaye, wrapping his arms around her and lifting her onto the roof of the car with him, narrowing his eyes at Adrian's smile.
