This Mask is Not Me

"I see," Vaix replied back with a curious tilt of his head, he gave a nod to the whole mage deal. "Careful, if you meet a good one they can bring your end easily... a dangerous job this time isn't it?" He smiled, but still wondered what it was they had he needed. Maybe something they used to have, but was blown up by the slider. He shrugged to himself passively, he'd find out soon enough. Adrian tended to just say what he needed when he needed it.

Adrian shrugged, smiling.
"I'm not to worried, they're fairly bad mages, well by mage standards. I'm lying low for a few days, making them believe that I've given up. They aren't to bright, and within a few days they'll have hoepfully relaxed their guard" He smiled again. This not only applied to the mages, but to Vaix. In a few days, Shaye would be healed, he could tell, and once that happened, her protectors would probably lessen up, hopefully at her own request. Then it would be a simple matter just to scoop her up and disappear.

Vaix gave a casual nod, "I see. Nice, it seems you have everything under control then..." He glanced at Shaye, she hadn't spoken in a while, but she seemed interested in Adrian's responses, so she was fine. He kissed her cheek softly, then looked back at Adrian. Wondering if he had anything else to say. Vaix for once, was out.

Adrian laughed softly. He could tell that Shaye was fine with him, which was good, the next part of his plan needed to be delicately carried out.
"Yes, I suppose I do. So, how long are you planning on staying here, if you don't mind my asking?" He murmured, blue eyes flicking up to meet Vaix's for a moment. Adrian was beyond a gifted actor, and could easily put even the most hostile of his kind at ease.

"Until Shaye's healed up again," Vaix replied calmly, "after that we head back to Keith and the others...I'm pretty sure." he glanced at Shaye, it was more what she wanted than him, he was content blocking the lot of them out right now quiet frankly.

Adrian nodded, he coud sense that Vaix had no desire to return to the others, so he had a few days, two at the very most to pull this off. It shouldn't be hard, it was a matter of getting Vaix to leave Shaye for a few moments, and then, she'd be gone, and he would search for her. But, of course, thanks to clever planning, never find her.

OOC:: Should Adrian managed to kidnap Shaye? Not keep her of course, but it would be interesing to play out?

Vaix watched him curiously, wondering what he was thinking for a minute or two, then sighing. "So is there anything I can do for you Adrian? I know I can't offer you food or drink but... there isn't anything you need?" it was a polite way to see if thee was in fact a possession of there's Adrian wanted.

OOC:; no, no wound =] She'll just be fairly freaked out for a bit.

BIC:
"No, nothing. I just came to see how you were faring my friend. And, to be honest, I couldn't pass up a chance to meet Shaye. I've heard a lot about her, and well, was curious" He smiled and shrugged. It was a good reason, Vaix would accept that, he knew that for sure.

"Ah," Vaix replied, satisfied for now. It was a good answer, he believed it. Why not visit when you were in the neighbourhood? "Well, yes. This is Shaye, and I am doing very well. I've found the other half of my life," he kissed Shaye's cheek lightly. Then looked back at Adrian.

Shaye grinned at Vaix.
"I'm not as special as the make me out to be" She said to Alexi, though she was smiling at him. Adrian laughed, "I would disagree my dear. Anyone who can tame Vaix definately is special" He said, pressing his finger tips together and grinning.

Vaix rolled his eyes at Shaye's and Adrian's little biker about how special she was. "You are very special, you're my special girl..." He kissed her lightly enjoying every second with her. He glanced at Adrian at the whole taming comment, then looked back at Shaye.

Shaye laughed and rolled her eyes at Vaix. He could be incredibly sentimental at times.
"Dork" She teased, laughing as Adrian laughed. The other vampire shook his head and rubbed the back of his neck.
"Well, Vaix, it was a pleasure to see you again. And Shaye, it was truely incredible to meet you. Hopefully we'll see you again" He murmured and sighed. He rose, shaking Shaye's hand and kissing it lightly, in a gentlemanly fashion.
Then, he slipped out, plan already in motion. Vaix needed to feed, it was odvious, then he would come back, get Shaye, that would be easy, she was weak enough to be taken easily.
"Well, good bye then" He called over his shoulder, smiling.

"Goodbye Adrian," Vaix called back calmly, smiling slightly as the other vampire left. He glanced over at Shaye, kissing her cheek lightly. "How was he?" Vaix asked her gently wanting to know her opinion, Adrian hadn't changed much, and eye for rarities as always, which was why he seemed so caught up in Shaye. He smiled gently waiting for her response.

"He's nice" Shaye said, smiling. "Intersting that's for sure" She said, leaning against him.
"How did you meet him?" She asked, pulling her knees to her chest and looking up at him. She sighed, Vaix was probably super thirsty now. Her blood was tempting, but another vampire's was probably impossible to resist.

"Keith introduced me," vaix replied back with a casual shrug, "it was a long while ago, before Roxa was even in the picture, and before Iggy had wandered after me." He gave a shrug, smiling gently at her, though the look in her eyes told him she saw right through him. His throat was burning alive inside him, he wanted, more than anything, to go after Adrian and drain his dry, he wouldn't for that very reason though, if he got a hold of someone as he was, he'd probably paralyze them, and then still try to drain more out even if there was none. He swallowed as another cooling attempt, though his mouth was to dry to produce spit at the moment. He sighed softly, pushing past it. He was fine...

Shaye sighed.
"Go feed" She murmured, she could practically feel the heat in his throat. "There's humans all over, just eat them" She urged, sighing. She knew he didn't like the taste, but it would be a better then feeding off of a vampire right now. She sighed and looked up at him.
"Go Vaix, I'll be fine. And you're starving" She murmured, running her fingers through his hair.

"I'm not starving," Vaix argued, but didn't say much else about it, other than another, "I'm fine. It was just Adrian. It will go away in a couple minutes." He swallowed again, the idea of eating anything sounded wonderful. But the idea of leaving Shaye was horrific. He looked at the door almost sadly, giving a gentle sigh, then looking back at her. "I-If I go, you won't leave this apartment...not for anything but emergencies. If anything happens, however small, power outage fireplace clicks on...anything. You call me and let me know..." He narrowed his eyes at her, showing her how serious he was, if she wasn't going to listen, neither would he. He'd sit right back down and starve by her side.

Shaye smiled and nodded.
"I promise. If anything happens, the first thing I'll do is call" She said, pressng her palm to his face and standing up. "Please Vaix, don't torture yourself. Go eat, I'll be here, curled in a blanket, asleep probably" She said, reassuring him. If she felt safe, then he should to. She sighed, grinning at him and pulling up the blanket, wrapping it around herself for emphasis.
Adrian grinned. His scent was still fresh, so Vaix would have no idea he was hovering, just out the window, waiting for the oppertune moment.

Vaix hesitated, then gave a defeated sigh and nodded. "Fine. Love you, be safe." He kissed her forehead gently, then turned hesitantly and walked out. Wandering out of the hotel to the nearest dark alley he could. His pace was swift due to hunger and fear for Shaye. Though he was sure it was nothing. He found a person, literally grabbing him on the way to the alley to eat there.

Shaye sighed, curling on the couch and drifting to sleep almost instantly. She didn;t notice that Adrian and slipped effortlessly into the room and was writing a small 'thank you' note to Vaix. It was his MO after all. He liked to taunt those he stole from, considering they never found him anyway. Grinning, he scooped up the sleeping, injured vampire and cradled her in his arms.
"My you are gorgeous aren't you?" He purred, stroking her face. Shaye's eyes flew open, and she let out a loud yelp.
"Va-" He clamped her mouth shut, disappearing out the window, towards a waiting limo.

Vaix finished after drinking seven people dry, then ran outback to the hotel and through the door. "Back Shaye," he purred, re-energized. He stopped, seeing she wasn't on the couch, but a piece of paper was. he wandered over, picking it up an looking. He recognized the writing instantly. then shrieked and whipped his head around. "Shaye?!" he bounded into every room, then lunged out the window as he tried to find a scent.

Shaye glowered at Adrian, he had effortlessly over powered her, and now she was curled up, still in the blanket in his limo. With her injury, she didn't have enough strength to get away, not that he would let her.
"Oh don't pout" Adrian said, rolling his eyes at her. "You'll love your new home. And you'll be allowed to wander as you choose, within reason of course" He said, which just caused her to hiss and curl up into an even tighter ball. Her heart was aching, and she knew her attachement to Vaix was stronger then she thought, it physically hurt her to be seperated from him.

Vaix was in total panic, he cried out for her repeatedly, running through town in random routes as he tried for a scent. Anything. He'd often cry out for Adrian too, knowing he had her. He raced around, oblivious to all the humans he startled, all the cops he was attracting, oblivious to it all as he looked for her. There was a pressure on his chest, an ache. She wasn't dead was she? He panicked even more, crying out for her repeatedly at the top of his lungs.

Shaye whimpered, she could hear Vaix, gods how she wanted to call out, but she couldn't. She looked at Adrian, wondering how someone, who had seemed so nice only hours previous could be so callous.
"Please" She whimpered, her heart ached so badly. "V-Vaix" She mumbled, feeling an unfamiliar tug in his chest, the further away they got, the more it ached. She sobbed, desperately wanting, needing to be wrapped in his arms.

Vaix continued to run around without a clue as to where he was going. He continued to cry out for her, continued to run in random directions until he hit a dead end or started to leave town. He was, at this point, being chased by several cop cars, due to his lack of care in speed, and the public's eye. He ignored them as if they were not there, running around in desperate need to find her. He was panicked, scared. He shouldn't have gone for so long, he'd known he shouldn't have. "Shaye!" he cried out for her again, then paused. Keith. Keith could help, maybe. What else could he do? This was getting no where... He raced off to their cabin, ignoring the cop cars as they pulled in after him. He ripped the door open and called out. "Keith! Help me!"
