This Mask is Not Me

Vaix swallowed as they moved, he'd caught her stare, which had reassured him in the way he'd needed as he followed after them at a slower pace, keeping them in the distance so as to not alarm the man she was bringing. He swallowed, watching them with a longing.

Shaye walked up to the cabin, the door wasn't locked.
"Oh, I guess we're early" She said, smiling at him and stepping inside. The place was eerie silent. She hoped Curtis was caught up in her enough so that he didn't realize what was going on.
"Oh no worries baby. We can just relaxe until you're little friends come" He said, wrapping his arms around her, drunk with lust and passion. She gasped a bit, but allowed it. Suddenly he pressed his lips to her's.
"Urgh" Shaye said internally, hoping Vaix showed up, soon.

Vaix did show up, in time to see Shaye be invaded by Curtis. He growled bounding the remaining distance in and knocking the boy over the back of his head in a neat blow, causing no blood to spill, yet knocking the boy into a slumber he might never wake from. He sighed and looked at Shaye, lifted a hand and whipping her mouth. "That's mine," he grumbled, pointing at her lips with a semi playful roll of his eyes and he took the boy by an arm and dragged him into the house to the stairs, "Keith?" he called, knowing the older vampire was undoubtedly awake by now. "We brought some food for you.."

Shaye gasped in suprise at Vaix's sudden appearance and then laughed softly.
"Oh, I was under the impression they were mine" She teased, smiling up at him so that he kenw she was just teasing him. She grinned at him, pressing her body against his and pressing her lips to his.
"See?" She arched an eyebrow, "these are mine" She pressed her lips to his agian and tapped them with her finger, "And these are yours" She laughed.

Keith slunk to the top of the stairs, human, he could scent human. A low, feral growled preceded him down the stairs. He was still weak and sort of out of it. He walked down the stairs, rather shakily. He glanced at Shaye, but he remembered the pain, and anxiously pressed his hand to his broken cheek. He whimpered, eyes wide as he saw the human on the floor.

Vaix blinked in surprise as she threw herself on him, but easily went into it as she kissed him. He smiled, uttering a soft purr as she kissed him the second time. "Okay, okay." He kissed her back in the same way she'd kissed him, glancing over as Keith appread. He frowned at his friends appearance, then shook his head sadly, holding Shaye with him as the old vampire made his way down the stairs. "That's yours Keith," he gestured to Curtis welcomingly. "He's still alive too, no dead blood."

Shaye gasped a bit, seeing her brother's swollen face.
"What happened to him?" She murmured in Vaix's ear, making sure to stay well away from Keith's meal. She nestled herself in Vaix's arms, careful not to bother Keith.
Keith knelt down by the body, bringing the human's neck to his anxious fangs. Instanty he began to feed, totally oblivious to Shaye and Vaix. All he cared about was the human who he was slowly killing.

"Me," Vaix muttered gently, "I think I hit him to hard when he went after you..." He kissed her forehead gently. "Don't worry over it, I'm sure it'll heal soon as if nothing happened." He watched Keith feed calmly, knowing from experience, the house could be burning and Keith wouldn't notice until he'd finished, Shaye was safe, but he still liked holding her. So he did, seeing as how she seemed afraid of her brother currently.

"Oh, well okay" Shaye said, wincing a bit at the angry swelling. She moved away from Vaix, walking over to the slightly burnt couch. She was getting anxious again, Sven would be back soon and she wasn't looking forward to that, at all. She sighed and began to anxiously chew her lip, irritated with herself for being so afriad. But pain, and pain was a really big insentive to avoid being here when Sven should up.

Vaix watched her go then looked back at Keith with a soft frown, and crossing his arms for the simple fact they felt weird when they where hanging down. The human already look pale, obviously dead or near death, Keith looked a lot less pale at this point, which was good. He hated to see his friend so hungry looking.

Iggy crept out at this point, still weary of Vaix, and curious over Keith. He slunk ever so slowly down the stairs, greeted by a low dangerous growl from Vaix immediately as he slunk over to Keith. Sitting at the human's head as he watched the older vampire feed with his head tilted innocently to one side.

Keith sat back, shoving the body away from him.
"T-thank you" He said, wiping his hand across his mouth and sighing. He felt a lot better now, a lot better. He stood, wrinkling his nose at the body, "What are we gonna do with that?" He said, ignoring Iggy who was sitting by the body. He walked over to Shaye and leaned in front of her.
"Hey, I'm so sorry" He said softly, holding out his arms for a hug.

"It's fine" Shaye said, hugging her brother back, a small smile on her face. She broke away and glanced at Vaix, hoping he was okay with everything, she tended to worry about him, a lot.

Vaix had tensed when Keith made his way over to Shaye, he hadn't moved, he'd just watched very closely until he was sure Shaye wasn't in any danger of being eaten. He let out a breath, but remained tense for now, glancing at Iggy and the body with narrowed eyes. "I don't know really...garbage bag and trash compactor?" He shrugged, "we could also just bury them in all this permafrost..."

Iggy whined when Vaix said them instead of him. He crossed his arms in a pouting way, then crawled over to Keith, gripping on of his long legs and holding on as he watched his older brother.

"Iggy" Keith said, glancing down at the other vampire, shaking his head.
"What are you doing?" He sighed and shook his head, glancing over at Vaix. He could see that Vaix was tense, and knew it was probably due to his proximity to Shaye.
"Uh, sounds good" He commented, unsure if he could take a step back with Iggy holding onto his legs.

Shaye glanced at Vaix and smiled, standing up and walking over to him.
"Hey, are you alright?" She asked, slipping her arms around him and pressing her head to his chest.

Iggy looked up at Keith as his name was mentioned, he smiled, then uttered a content purr, gripping Keith's leg tighter now as he watched Shaye moved over to Vaix. "Hiding," he muttered back to Keith with a soft smile of innocence. "Vaix said he wanted to throw me in a garbage compactor..."

"Did not," Vaix growled at Iggy, then glanced at Shaye as she slung her arms around him, he sighed, calming immediately upon her actions as he watched her. "I'm fine, just a bit frazzled up from all the daily events..."

"Ig, he said he was gonna put the body, as in the dead body in a compactor" He said, shaking his head and watching Shaye and Vaix. They were so perfect together, it was nice.

Shaye smiled at Vaix but didn't say anything.
"Oh" She murmured against his chest, knowing that the days were going to get worse before they got better. At least for the next few days. She subconciously touched her arm, shaking her head, it was going to be another long, painfilled day tomorrow.

Iggy shook his head violently in a disagreement, but remained quiet, gripping Keith tighter in his hands, and leaning tiredly there, looking up at Keith contently as he sat on on of Keith's feet in a way so that, if Keith wished to move, Iggy would ride along easily with a minimum of fuss over Keith's ability to walk.

Vaix watched Shaye tough her arm, and winced at the idea of her going through that again. He scooped up her face in his hands, looking at her sadly. "You'll be strong for me tomorrow right? Be tough?" He kissed her forehead and gave a sad smile.

Keith glanced down at Iggy again, rolling his eyes.
"I think I'm gonna go lay in the hottub" He grumbled, walking away, Iggy still on his foot. He sighed and walked up the stairs, making his way towards his room so he could change.
"You know, I need to get changed, which requires you getting off of my leg" He told Iggy.

Shaye glanced up at Vaix and sighed. "I'll try" She murmured, pressing her face into his chest. She hoped that she could be strong, but it hurt so much. She sighed and leaned against Vaix, letting herself relaxe for a moment.

Iggy looked up at him with a soft smile, then griped Keith's leg tighter. "No, no, no." He purred contently, then blinked at the idea of being in a hot tube and smiled, letting go and beginning to pull his shirt off, exposing his pale starved looking chest. He'd died looking thin, no matter how much he ate he'd never gain any weight. So now he was stuck with his ribs showing every time he took in a breath. It wasn't to the point of being gross, just to the point of being noticed every once in a while.

Vaix gave a soft nod, hugging her tight then letting go to look at her again. "Will you be okay? I doubt after last time I'll be allowed in you room again..."

Keith rolled his eyes at Iggy's bony chest.
He had been really fit when he had been changed, so he was built. He pulled off his own shirt and stepped into the washroom to put on swim trunks. He emerged, "Come on, do you wanna ask Roxa to join us?" He asked Iggy, heading towards the hot tub.

Shaye shrugged, smiling at him from under her lashes.
"I'm sure I'll be fine" She murmured softly, grinning at him She didn't really like the idea of being in the room alone, without Vaix.

Iggy gave a nod, making his way over to the door Roxa lay behind and knocked gently.
"Yes?" came the curious, friendly voice in return.
"Roxa?" Iggy purred, "me and Keith are going in the hot tube, want to join us?" There was a long pause then Roxa's sigh.
"Seth blew up our house, and my swimsuit along with it, I'm not going in there until I have something more covering. Sorry Ig, maybe another time..." The door opened, and a quick smooch on Iggy's forehead followed. Making him cry out in irritation and jump back.
Roxa laughed, "gotcha." She gave him a wink, then walked back inside the room she'd claimed as her own.
Iggy grumbled to himself, then followed after Keith into the hot tube, smiling as he saw the older vampire there. "She didn't want to," he crawled into the steaming water, head and all for a minute or two, then poked his head up like an alligator would, watching Keith playfully.

Vaix sighed and gave a weak nod and lay his head on her shoulder. "I'll come if you call for me. No matter what," he kissed the side of her neck affectionately, purring gently as he did. He didn't know when Sven planned to come back, and the tension of it was killing him mentally.

Keith nodded and slipped into the hot water. He sighed, letting the water take the tension from his body. He sighed, shaking his head and attempting to Ignore Iggy's odd behavior. He needed to relaxe, badly and he wasn't in the mood for anything right now. He sighed, content.

Shaye sighed, cuddling against Vaix's chest, loving the attention he was giving her. "I know" She mentally resolved not to call out for him tomorrow, no matter what. Vaix couldn't take that, she knew that. Sighing sne cuddled against Vaix again.

Iggy watched Keith become calm. Calm. Iggy didn't want Keith to be calm, calm was boring. He purred sharply, then half crawled half floated across the hot tube over to Keith. Placing his hands on the older vampire's chest and uttering a load laugh. "Hi Keith," he purred, looking the older vampire straight in the eye, not in a menacing way, more of a clueless innocence he always had.

Vaix smiled, calming at the fact he knew she'd alert him if the need be. He held her gently, yet firmly, as if he feared something would come at any minute to take her away, because something was, and it would hurt her, and he'd sit by and listen to it hurt her. He frowned, but didn't do or say anything, enjoying the time he had with her.

"What do you want Iggy?' Keith grumbled, glaring at the younger vampire. Of course Iggy wouldn't let him have his relaxed mood, Iggy liked there to be lots of drama. He sighed and resolved to stay calm, regardless of Iggy and whatever he said or did. He sighed, leaning his head back against the edge of the hot tub, willing himself to be calm.

Shaye felt Vaix relaxe, which was good. She sighed, glancing out the window. It was almost light out, which meant Sven would be back soon. She shuddered, but attempted to repress it, not wanting to upset Vaix right now.

Iggy bounced in place when Keith calmed more, "I want to play. Please Keith? Please?" His voice resembled the begging of a cat. He lay his chin on Keith's chest, then, as if the idea of sitting still was intolerable, crept up and put his forehead to Keith, staring at the older vampire's closed eyes. "Keith? Keith?" He smiled almost crazily, uttering odd chirping noises once or twice in his begging for attention.

Vaix didn't feel her shudder, he breathed slowly, almost sadly. He could feel the heat of the sun approaching without the need to look. His grip on Shaye tightened, and he gave a sad sigh. "I'm sorry," he whispered. "I should have been protecting you better... than none of this would have happened..." He was almost talking more to himself than to Shaye, like there was three people in the conversation. His body gave a harder shudder than Shaye's, and he let hi head fall against the wooden cabin wall limply, still holding Shaye close.

"Iggy We're not playing any games" Keith grumbled, shaking his head and sighing. He knew Iggy would never let up until he agreed, but he wasn't going to give in to easily right now. He needed to relaxe, badly.

Shaye pulled away from Vaix, growling at him.
"Hey, it's not your fault" She said, smacking him in the chest gently with her good hand. "It's not your fault" She said again, for emphasis. "It was that stupid human females, it is no one's fault except her's and her jealousies" She said, pressing against him again.

Iggy gave a sharp whine when Keith refused, the went limp and lay his head under Keith's, the wriggled off and under the water again, staying there for a long while, then poking his head out to look at Keith again. "Now? Can we play now Keith?" He blew bubbles in the hot tube water, watching Keith with a childish innocence you just couldn't get mad at.

Vaix watched her with a frown, then gave a soft smile out of the corner of his mouth, "Okay Shaye." His arms welcomed her back as she pressed against him once again, closing his eyes as well and uttering a soft hum of contentment.
