Vampire Knights

Marik sighed. "King Saf probably has put out a bounty on my head already."

Oake woke, sitting up and she turned to see a sleeping Voodoo.
"He failed to do his task." She giggled quietly. Oake got up, walking towards the wall and she placed a hand on it. The secret door gave away and she crept in wihout disturbing the black cat. She made her way through the tunnels and came upon a dirt wall. She placed a hand on it and the passage opened. Oake stepped in to see Marik awake, she smiled sheepishly, "Can't sleep. Too restless to stay calm."

"Me too.", Marik said, smiling slightly.

She came over and sat on the edge of the bed looking down at her hands.

"But, restlessness is not the cause of my troubles.... King Saf probably already has Demise, Malice, and Torture looking for me. Zero's definitely told him about my betrayal, there's no doubt."

"They're not going to take you away from me as long as I am still standing." She smiled.

Marik smiled. "I know. I'm more worried about you."

"Huh? Why so?" she muttered.

"Not only were you part of the Resistance, but you're half human, half vampire. Most vampires see you as a disgrace. King Saf undoubtedly wants us both dead, and wants you dead more."

"Pfft...I'm much more better then a pure bred himself. Why can't he get off his lazy rump and come get me himself?" She rolled her eyes, arms crossing.

Marik's eye's widened. "He is."

She turned to him, golden eyes, wide, "You're yanking my chain aren't ya? Please tell me you are."

"no, I'm not."

"No." she muttered, placing her face against her hands, shaking her head.

"He can't enter here, though. Only my family and invited guests may enter."

"Okay, I trust you, but what if he was able to?"

"I would give my life a thousand times over to keep you safe, Oake."

She smiled turning to him, "Thank you Marik. Thank you."

Marik smiled at her.

She glanced out his window then got up, "I better get going before Voodoo wakes up."

Marik nodded. "Go get some sleep. WEe both need it."

She nodded her head smiling then walked to the passage, and the door closed behind her as soon as she stepped throughout.

Marik layed down on his bed and tried to sleep/

Oake came in to still see Voodoo asleep so she smiled and went to her bed lying down there.

Marik tossed and turned, trying to sleep.
