The Virus (Almost Lit/Lit+) - Page 5 Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Virus (Almost Lit/Lit+)   The Virus (Almost Lit/Lit+) - Page 5 I_icon_minitimeFri Nov 05, 2010 7:49 pm

Roy sighed wandering towards the woods in a wobbly fashion, more skin and bone than muscle, a walking toothpick. He smiled softly as Sara came with him, he really was glad, at this point he wanted any company he could find. He did catch her look though, and for a brief moment, his expression held the grand painting of confusion, and raw innocence.
He stopped as Vivi told him too, "You're pack he repeated softly, looking over his shoulder at the cars, and the bag laying on the road. "Oh," he muttered softly, wandering back slowly, and crouching on his knees so Vivi could take her things. He just hoped he had the strength to lift the extra weight, seeing as how he was struggling with just Vivi already.
He glanced over his shoulder to make sure Sara was still around, he wouldn't stop her if she took off, but he like he'd said, he wanted another vampire around. He could see disapprovement glistening in her eyes, and again, looked very confused.
What was he doing wrong? Was carrying sick girls around wrong? Was making sure they could eat wrong?
He didn't understand, and he probably would have a hard time understanding again. Because Vivi was the first creature he'd met, his morals had instantly been set to the standards of that creature. He did see her as something to eat, but he also saw her as a sickly, lonely creature, like him. He wouldn't eat her anymore than he'd eat Sara. He had also instantly adopted Vivi for that reason, and though she didn't know it yet, he'd follow her around everywhere now, until he died, or she died, but even if she did die, he'd probably wallow by her grave until he died too.
It was a vampire's loyalty, and though Vivi had done nothing really, he'd subconsciously latched unto her like a lost child.

Sara ignored Roy's look of confusion at her expression, she shrugged it off, she wasn't about to explain. She glanced at the human, keeping the sneer off of her face, she could tolerate her, for now. She watched Roy struggle to hold her, but made no attempt to help, if Roy wanted to owe loyalty to the mortal, that was his own problem, she on the other hand, only held contempt for humans, for what they had done to her, to her family. She blinked back angry tears, turning her back on the painful scene for a moment to get control of herself, to force back her overwhelming emtions, before turning around again to watch them. It was almost laughable, Roy so desperately needed blood, and she'd have offered, if she had any to spare, but she didn't, not even for another of her kind. She watched, eyes growing incredibly sad for a moment, before she shut her eyes, wincing for a moment, watching the struggle. She sucked in a sharp breath, glancing up at the sky.
"We don't have time for this" She finally muttered, Roy struggling with the weight of an extra person would slow them down. She walked over, holding her breath as she took the human from him.
"I'll carry her, I'm stronger then you" She muttered to the other vampire, "And we have to get shelter" She said, hoisting Vivi, a pained expression on her face at the scent of the girl's blood.

PostSubject: Re: The Virus (Almost Lit/Lit+)   The Virus (Almost Lit/Lit+) - Page 5 I_icon_minitimeSun Nov 07, 2010 8:38 pm

“I’m sorry.” She murmured quietly as she picked up her pack clutching it against her chest. Vivi’d taken the fox glove and shoved it against her nose, breathing it scent in. “Thank you.” She murmured softly to Roy. She was starting to drift again, slipping out quickly.
It was starting to get lighter out when Vivi woke startled to find that she’d been shifted from Roy to Sara’s arms. It was light enough that Vivi could see the look on Sara’s face. She’s forgotten why at first, but then she remembered that she was her food source. Vivi bit her lip and lifted her hand clutching the fox glove. “Can you smell this?” She asked quietly. She didn’t know if it would help. She didn’t have not nose of a vampire, a hungry one at that, so she didn’t know.
Vivi gazed out to look at the horizon, watching the color come back into the back sky. Pinks, oranges, purples painting the sky as the sun came back. She smiled faintly, if she could freeze the world in one place it would be at sun up or sun down, just so she could look at the colors forever. “The sky is pretty.” She commented quietly, almost as if she was talking to herself. Vivi coughed, turning her head away from Sara, covering her mouth with her sleeve. Roy said that she was healthy, and part of Vivi envied that, but she also believed that they deserved what they were getting for being stupid enough to want to take out and entire race.

PostSubject: Re: The Virus (Almost Lit/Lit+)   The Virus (Almost Lit/Lit+) - Page 5 I_icon_minitimeThu Nov 11, 2010 8:40 pm

"Don't apologise," he muttered softly to Vivi, smiling lightly as she took the bag, then took care to the flower, his present to her. He sighed softly and muttered, "You're welcome," before attempting to stand with the extra weight, and feeling his leg begin to give out.
He jumped sharply, like a nervous animal, as Sara came over from behind and declared they didn't have time for his pity show, and took Vivi away. He became instantly paranoid, and though he held Vivi's bag no problem, he would have much rather been holding Vivi, because he sensed the hunger off of Sara, the dislike, and he was again frightened she might hurt her.
He tried to keep up with Sara, even though he had the longer legs, they were sore and weakened from the attempt to hold up Vivi+her things. His breathing had become sharp, tired panting, which ceased as soon and Vivi woke up. In which case his eyes locked on her like glue.
He looked sad as Vivi asked Sara if she'd like to smell the flower, that the girl would be so caring even to creatures she knew would much rather just eat her.
He watched her look at the sky, and glanced at it only momentarily before he focused on her again, "It's nice," he muttered back, a little to bright for his sensitive eyes but it was nice none the less. He relaxed a bit as they entered the shade of the wood. His eyes glancing around before re-gluing themselves to Vivi.
He started rasping again, starting to trail behind. He needed to stop, he didn't feel good. His stomach hurt, Vivi smelled so nice, a steak set in front of a starving man. His eyelids started to droop as his vision started to blurr, and his huffed breaths got heavier, more strained and tired, until finally, he blacked out. Feeling panicked that he could no longer see Vivi, and that he might wake up to find them both gone.

PostSubject: Re: The Virus (Almost Lit/Lit+)   The Virus (Almost Lit/Lit+) - Page 5 I_icon_minitimeThu Nov 11, 2010 8:46 pm

Sara sighed, knowing she was making Roy nervous, but hell, they really didn't have time for his weakened state getting weaker. She glanced down in suprise as the girl in her arms pressed the flower into her face. She broke into a dazzling smile, "Yes, I can smell it, thank you" She murmured, continuing forward, making sure she wasn't breathing, mainly to ignore the scent of blood. As much as she did want to drain Vivi of every drop of her blood, she was begining to like the girl. She sighed, turning sharply as she heard Roy basically pass out. His breathing had been getting worse for awhile, and now, his body had finally given out. She frowned, glancing around, "Damn" She muttered, shifting Vivi and going back for Roy, they had to get into at least some sembelance of shade, though the forest was dense enough that the sun wouldn't be puncture it. She set the girl down against a tree trunk. "Don't move' She muttered, going back towards Roy and tossing the backpack to the girl, and grabbing Roy. Hauling the vampire into her arms, she moved him so he was leaned against the tree as well, before she sat down, keeping a careful eye on the sun, though, they'd be safe. She'd wait for Roy to wake up, and then give him some of her blood, she didn't have much to spare, but she was sure the fresh blood, the blood of a vampire, would get him up and moving.
"He needs to feed, but don't offer your blood, he can have mine" She muttered to the girl, scratching the idea of waiting. Biting her wrist, she winced, before moving next to Roy and prying his mouth open. She gently inserted her wrist into his mouth, wincing as his fangs automatically latched on.

PostSubject: Re: The Virus (Almost Lit/Lit+)   The Virus (Almost Lit/Lit+) - Page 5 I_icon_minitimeFri Nov 26, 2010 7:52 pm

Vivi smiled back at Sara, glad that she’d helped even a little. Her hand fell back to her face when she noticed that Sara was no longer breathing, she wouldn’t be able to smell the flower if she wasn’t breathing.
Vivi heard Roy fall, but she hadn’t expected Sara to turn around so fast. The air rushed pass her ears, everything blurring into sets of colors as Sara turned. The sudden movement made her head spin long after Sara was done moving.
She watched Sara from where she was set down. Where exactly was she going to move do? She wouldn’t get that far, there was no point in trying. Vivi let her back hit the ground next to her, there wasn’t anything in there that was going to break, and in truth she didn’t know how hard Sara had thrown it. Catching it probably was not in her best interest.
“Will he be okay?” Vivi asked quietly when Sara came back with Roy. Her head was tipped to the side, she genuinely wanted to know. It was not a pity question. She nodded slightly when Sara mentioned feeding him. She knew what that entitled, but before she could offer, Sara had declined. It wasn’t going to happen. Sara was going to give him her’s.

The Virus (Almost Lit/Lit+) - Page 5 Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Virus (Almost Lit/Lit+)   The Virus (Almost Lit/Lit+) - Page 5 I_icon_minitimeSat Nov 27, 2010 6:17 pm

Even though Roy was out cold, that he didn't sense himself being picked up or sat down, or talking around him, his body still clung onto the sense of panic, the panic that he was being left behind, even when he wasn't. He didn't know Sara had come back for him, after all.
He awoke with an arm in his face, his fangs rooted so deeply into it, and the taste, it wasn't as fresh as Vivi's blood, but it was still fresh, and delicious. He didn't move, beyond sucking on the arm, his eyes slowly traveled up to his detonator, the vampire he'd met earlier. Sara. And what of the girl? What of his human? His eyes shifted sideways and caught sight of Vivi, and that was were they stayed as his eyelids began to droop again. He was so tired, knowing they were still with him relaxed him enough to make him pass out again. Though he subconsciously instructed himself to let go of Sara before he hurt her, and, though he didn't remove his fangs from her wrist, he did stop drinking, and fell asleep again stuck in her. Out of the three of them, despite Roy's slow recovering, he was still the most sickly, perhaps not the weakest, due to having a human in the group, but the sickness was still in him, and clawing for control. The harder he worked to keep moving, the more he tired himself out, the less energy he had to get better. Not that that was his concern, after loosing his memories, he was desperate to grip onto any living thing he could find, be it a vampire, a human, a mammal, to as low as even a common bug. In fact, before meeting with them, he'd gone through dozens of insect companions. But their lives were so short, they'd just keep dying on him. Probably for the better, as he'd never grown too attached to them and for the most part, he forget about them due to his memory loss. Roy was getting better, but he still did have a slight short term memory, he might not forget Sara and Vivi, but he might forget the day he'd met them, or yesterday, anything that wasn't repetitively mentioned.

PostSubject: Re: The Virus (Almost Lit/Lit+)   The Virus (Almost Lit/Lit+) - Page 5 I_icon_minitimeMon Nov 29, 2010 2:56 pm

Sara resisted the urge to jerk away when Roy's fangs slipped into her arm. She winced, it hurt, a lot, though she did her best to ignore it. Her blood was the best for him, healthy, and strong, being vampire blood now. She sighed, looking down at him as he basically passed out, fangs still latched into her arm, blood droplets dripping into his open mouth.
She glanced at the human, sighing and letting her eyes slid half closed, though she stayed awake, being the only one in the group strong enough to actually defend any of them. She winced, exahusted from the blood loss, though she'd be fine, she'd recover faster then any of them.
"He'll be fine" She finally answered, nodding at the girl. "He just needs to feed and rest, he's still suffering the affects of the virus" She said softly, smiling at Vivi's concern over the vampire. Finally begining to better understand the co-dependant relationship.

PostSubject: Re: The Virus (Almost Lit/Lit+)   The Virus (Almost Lit/Lit+) - Page 5 I_icon_minitimeSat May 14, 2011 2:52 pm

Vivi found herself flinching when Roy’s fangs punctured Sara’s skin, though she was too weak to do anything else. She couldn’t look away, and any thought of being squeamish shoved far back into her mind. Far back. To a place where she couldn’t reach it. She used to be, she wouldn’t deny that. But there were so many more things in this world worse than blood. Her body had come to realized that after, fainting, throwing up and things that had slipped her mind.
Vivi nodded weakly when Sara said Roy would be okay. She was glad, and it showed on the small, fain, smile on her lips. But that smile was soon replaced with a thin hard line, her eye brows furrowing downward. Frustration. Sara had made Roy better, or as good as it was probably going to get right now. Nor would she even of gotten this far. She hadn’t acknowledged that. Or even hinted at it. That frustrated her beyond what her tired mind could believe. Or come close to believing.
“Sara? Are you okay?” She asked quietly her voice, had taken a beating from, finally, being able to talk to something that would respond back. Her need for social interaction became more apparent then she knew. She coughed harshly, the sounded echoing deep in her chest.
She waited for a minute, thinking of the only way she could to express her thanks toward the other vampire.
“Thank you.” Her voiced cracked halfway between, but the words still held on to what she genuinely meant.

PostSubject: Re: The Virus (Almost Lit/Lit+)   The Virus (Almost Lit/Lit+) - Page 5 I_icon_minitimeThu May 19, 2011 2:50 pm

Roy's body lay still and limp against the tree he rested on, far too weak to do anything else physically. His subconcious held track of his companions desperately, needing to know they were still around, while he ahted himself for slowng them down and making them donate to a lost cause. He heard the ever so faint noises of conversation, but was to in sleep to understand any of it. Nearby he heard the fluttering beat of sick heart, and felt saddened for knowing the plauges final destination.
He didn't want to be a weak link, for Sara and Vivi. He wanted to be strong, to help them, to preserve Vivi, not shorten her life as he'd already done such a nice job of doing.
Despite his exhaustion, he forced his eyes to open a crack, seeing Sara's arm stil dripping in his mouth, and feeling the frustration of knowing he couldn't lift an arm to push her away. At this point he couldn't move his eyes let alone an arm, it was a wonder he'd gotten them open in the first place. They stared slightly forward, almost ghostly, pale, slightly life-less, though there was that faint life in his soul that kept him from being presumed dead, though, at the moment, he did look very dead.
He forced exhausted lungs to expand with air, refusing to be the weak link. He'd be useful, he'd hunt for food for Vivi, good food. Sara too. He tried to lift his gaze again and failed, tried to exhale, and found no energy for that anymore either. For a moment, he wondered if he had died, though he knew that he'd live on, as his vampiric curse made him do.

PostSubject: Re: The Virus (Almost Lit/Lit+)   The Virus (Almost Lit/Lit+) - Page 5 I_icon_minitimeThu May 19, 2011 3:34 pm

Sara glanced at Vivi a small frown on her face for a moment.
"Your welcome" She said, her voice short. Detatching her arm from Roy, she ripped a portion of her shirt, binding the injury before standing up. She swayed for a moment, but the feeling soon passed and she glanced around. Despite everything, she was happy for the moment, she was around other beings, one being a vampire, and that made this whole thing so much easier. She glanced down at the pair of them, weak sick girl and weak sick vampire, what a pair. She knew she had to preserve their lives, even if only for her own mental state. She shifted her stance, staring out into the forest for a moment, they couldn't stay here, but where else could they go. Both needed time to recover, and Roy would need blood, lots more blood. She didn't know what Vivi ate, she couldn't remember what humans ate.
"Do you need anything?" She asked suddenly, surprised almost to hear herself speak? She looked down at Vivi expectantly, she wasn't one to really offer help, but her own fear of being alone drove her to be polite to the human and to try and keep her alive, if only for selfish reasons.
