One x One with: Blacksoal

She closed her eyes and leaned against him, relaxing in his arms. She sighed her entire being intent on him. She had never believed in love, not after how her parents had treated her. She sighed and smiled into his chest.
"I-I love you" She whispered, the words so foreign to her.

Vaix blinked when she relaxed, he felt a slight amount of extra weight as she leaned against him entierly. He didn't mind of course, in fact it made him happy she was so comfortable being close to him like this. Vaix blinked slowley as she spoke, as if he was surprised at hearing that from her. Honestly, it wasn't something he heard alot of. Probably the first time in hundreds of years someone said they loved him. But it felt good to hear it.
Vaix smiled and wrapped his arms tighter around her, letting his low toned purr rise up in his throat again. "I love you too," he whispered back.

She felt strage. She had honestly, never in her entire life heard someone say those words to her.
"Really?" She asked, glancing up at him, her eyes filled with mixed emotions. She wasn't used to someone caring this much, besides Keith, who was more of a brother figure.
She smiled a bit.
"Wow, no one's ever said that to me before" She said, takenaback.

Vaix gave an amused smile, "what where you expecting from me instead?" He felt a sinking feeling about the answer he might recive from that question. But he couldn't help but be curious about it. He hesitated a bit at her last words, "your parents didn't love you either, hey?" Vaix frowned alittle at the mention of parents. Now was not the moment he wanted to be haunted by his past.

She bit back a laugh.
"They hated me" She said, poiting at the scar on her arm, befoire turning and pulling her dress to one side to show him the ugly, long scars on her back.
"They thought I was freak, and tried to change me, or stop me. When I couldn't stop shifting, they kicked me out. I lived on the street for a year and then Keith found me" She explained.
"And what did I expect to hear. Honestly my parents never said I love you, ever. So I was half expecting 'I hate you' or "Get out of here'"

Vaix blinked at seeing her scars and frowned at her comments. "I'd never say such things to you," he replied back. "Even if I were to leave you, I'd never say those things. And I'm not leaving, just so you know, unless of course I'm pushed away." His kissed her forehead neatly, "my parents were in a way the opposite of yours. Instead of casting me out, they attempted to use me as a tool." He frowned at the memory and sighed.

Shaye sighed.
"No one's going to push you away, at least I'm not" She said smiling at him and hugging him a bit tighter.
"What do you wanna do now, I'm not ready to go home yet" She said. Keith would have told Roxa and Iggy by now, and she didn't want to face them yet, especially Roxa.

Vaix hesitated at her question, "we could go to my house, I guess. Correct me if I'm wronge, but I don't think you've been there yet." He gave a soft smile and awaited her answer, "Roxa and Iggy will stay at Keith's until we come back, and it's on the opposite side of town."

"Sure" She said, smiling softly. She linked her hands with his and waited for him to lead the way. She was still getting used to the idea of someone really caring about her.
"Thanks" She breathed, making her scars disappeare.

Keith walked in the house and angry scowl on his face as he slammed the door.

Vaix smiled, but released one of her hands so that he could walk. He lead the shadowed way along through the woods, literally out in the middle of nowhere, that lead to his home. He knew, if she had little trust in him, it would be enough to make her suspicious of him. Leading her away from help, into the dark all alone.
He prayed she wouldn't get that idea of him. Vaix wasn't like that, he just hopped the route to his home wasn't making her uncomfertable.

Roxa jumped as Keith came back home, she looked over at Iggy, who was once again sleeping on the couch, a soft drip of drool dangling from his mouth.
She rolled her eyes and looked at Keith's pissed expression. "What's wronge?" she asked curiously, already noticing Vaix and Shaye's absence.

"Walking. Austin basically tired to rape Shaye" He said, his voice turning dark with anger.
"Like that was something she really needed" He grumbled, sititng down on the couch.

Shaye glanced around, curious about the route to Vaix's house. She smiled, she trusted him with her life, odviously. She stayed close to him, her hand tightening on him as they walked. She sighed, and leaned against him while they walked, seeking comfort in the familiar act.

Roxa's eyes widened. "What?!" she hissed. "Where is she? Is she okay? What's happened to Vaix? Did Austin get hu-"
Iggy had woken at the sound of her chatter and cover her mouth with one hand, the other covering his ear. "Oh shut up," he growled to her. "She's with Vaix, and she's a vampire. I'm sure she's fine." He glanced at Keith almost as if he blamed the other vampire for disturbing his sleep.

Vaix looked at Shaye for a second when she leaned her head against him. He smiled, and looked back down at the paper thin trail that lead to his home. Sometimes the path would disappear all together and Vaix would have to go by memory until the path showed itself again.
After about five minutes they reached a small, old-looking house centered in a small clearing. The house was half covered in ivy, and looked abandoned more than anything.
Vaix gave Shaye's hand a squeeze, then lead her to the wooden front door. "I know it's small and old, but it's still home." He smiled and pushed the front door open, offering her to go first into the main living room. From there there was a door to Iggy's basement room, and stairs to go to Roxa and Vaix's rooms. Plus and extra door of the left with and abandoned kitchen and bathroom.

Keith rolled hsi eyes at iggy.
"She'll be fine" He told Roxa. "As for Austin, I have no idea. I'm letting Vaix decide what he wants to do" He said, shrugging.
"I think that perhaps Austin took her by suprise, and then, like pretty much every other male she's met, treated her like crap" He said to Roxa, shaking his head and resting it in his hands.

Shaye glanced up at the house.
"It's cute" She said stepping into the house and looking around. She liked it, it was so much more cosy then her own sprawling place with Keith.
She smiled, although it was brittle. She had never seen Vaix's home before and she really liked it. Her own home was huge and she and Keith had been known to go a few days without seeing eachother sometimes. This seemed so much more comfortable.
"I like it"

Roxa pulled Iggy's hand away and gave the sleepy vampire a strong glare. Then looked up at Keith with a frown, "you know if you let Vaix decide that human's fate it will end in a miserable death right?" She watched Keith morn over his sister's misfortune and sighed softly.

"I'm glad," he replied with a smile. Walking over and sitting on the couch.

"Yupp" Keith replied, smiling a bit sadistically.
"It would be worse if I went after him though" Keith said, he was very protective of any family he had, and therefore would do pretty much anything to defend them.

She followed him, and sat down on the floor, resting her back against his knees. She sighed, and tilted her head back and smiled up at him.

Roxa rolled her eyes at him, "our Keith? No way. You're far to friendly for something so dark." She gave him a wink and ran her fingers through Iggy's soft blond hair, he'd fallen asleep again. For a vampire, Iggy sure did sleep a lot.

Vaix looked down at Shaye and smiled, "you don't need to sit on the floor. You're gonna make me look like a terrible host." He didn't move her, instead he just stretched out a hand and rubbed her forehead. "Silly girl," he said contently, looking down at her with loving eyes.

She laughed, she always sat on the floor.
"But I like the floor" She said, resting her head comfortably against his knees and smiling. She closed her eyes, enjoying the feeling of his hand on her head.

Keith laughed softly, "I guess" He teased, "Although I would expect I could change if I must"' He said, smiling.

Vaix gave a shrug, "okay then, suit yourself." He continued to let his hand caress her forehead gently and play with the hair on the frame of her face. Vaix just smiled and glanced around for a second or two.
"I could gave you a tour if you'd like. As I said before, the house is small, so it would take under twenty minutes to fully examine everything here. Only when you want to though."

Roxa smiled at Keith, "what would count as a must for you?" Her question was merely out of curiousity, nothing more or less. She felt Iggy shift a bit when she stopped moving her hand through his hair. Probably because he was fussing for attention. She started moving her hand through his hair again, sure enough, he movements stopped.

"Anything attacking my family, stuff along those lines" Keith said with a small shrug. He had only gone over the edge twice in his long, long life. He frowned a little at the memory, but shrugged a bit.
"It depends really on what someone has done" He explained.

Shaye shugged. "Whatever you want to do" She said, her body finally begining to untense. Her shoulders slumped as her eye lids began to droop. She hadn't realized she was this tired, but an emotional over load was known to do that.

"Makes sense," Roxa replied calmly. "I'm the same way in that matter, even if Vaix and Iggy aren't my real family, they're the only thing I got that resembles one..." She gave a soft smile at the sleeping figure beside her, the idea of anything hurting them enraged her. It really did. And Keith has to put up with it at a norm...

Vaix watched Shaye's stamina give out by the second, he smiled. "We'll do it later, you really look exausted Shaye." He bent over his knees and kissed her forehead gently, letting his hands slip carfully around her and lift her up into his lap with him. Vaix sighed and held her close, "just nap Shaye, I don't mind."

She sighed, curling up a little in his lap. She couldn't believe how tired she was.
"Thanks" She slurred in a tired voice, a small yawn escaping her. She leaned against him, her cheek resting on his chest. She couldn't believe how comfortable she was.

Keith nodded.
"It's good to know someone understands" He said, feeling a bit closer to Roxa now. Normally she irritated him with her constant over protection of Vaix. He had given up trying to be like that with Shaye a long time ago,

"It's more like who wouldn't understand," Roxa replied. "I'm sure it's a built in vampiric instinct to protect your 'family'. Just some are more protective than others." Am I over protective? She wondered quietly, no way. If anything I should be a little stricter with my boys. She glanced at Iggy with a smile.

"It's no problem," Vaix said back softly. "Just rest, and take your time. I won't leave." His arms wrapped around her almost in s protective way, because after today, he was a bit protective of her. More than anything he wanted to make Austin suffer the way he'd mentally hurt Shaye, and he would, with patients and time.

A small smile appeared on her face at the comfort of his arms as she drifted into sleep. Her mind began to flill with images, many were memories from her past. And she began to tense again. She could hear her parents screaming at her, the harsh treatment she recieved at their hands coming back to her all at once.

"I dunno, I guess it's a family thing, because even as a human I was always protective of my family" He said, shrugging.
"Although Shaye's super independant and really distrustful for awhile" He explained. He was still protective of Shaye, but had learned to giver her space.

"I suppose that makes sense. I wasn't protective until I lost my real family..." Roxa frowned, unlike most, her family had truly loved her, even when she had been a vampire. The only problem was watching the age and die before her, none wanted the gift, but at the same time she was watching them die without a cure. It had been that hardest hundred years of her life and had broken her heart when she'd been finally all alone. Vaix had found her, and taken her in with Iggy.

Vaix, over the past little while, had been watching Shaye's body language as she slept. He wasn't sure if she was having a nightmare, or just still worked up from before. He frowned, and ran his fingers soothingly through her hair in attempts to calm her.

Shaye bit her lip, hard in her sleep. Soon she had punctured it and sliver blood begam to run down her lips and onto her chin. She gasped a little, her body convulsing in shock. Her eyes remained shut as she continued to sleep.

Keith nodded.
"Shaye lived on the street for a year before I found her, she's crazy independant" He said, shaking his head. His own family had been terrifed of him, which had resulted in him killing them all, except for his sister, who had ended up in an asylum.
