"Thanks" Keith said over his shoulder to Mika, wincing as he saw how exahusted the healer was.
"Do you want us to give you some time?" Keith asked Kristen, somewhat worried about his and Alayna's presence in the room. He sort of felt like that he was intruding, even now, he could see Kristen was only focused on Demitri, and though he was passed out, he was focused on her, in a sense.

The vampire was awake, not awake in the talking, eyes open sense, but the he could hear what was going on sense. He shifted a bit, turning on his side, curling against Kristen. He knew the action would calm her, make her happy. Which was all he wanted.

Kristen let out a shaky breath as Demitri moved, and she wrapped an arm around his shoulder as he moved closer. He was going to be alright. Relief washed over her, relaxing her like warm water. She found her voice again, but she managed to keep herself from blurting it all out at once. "God, Keith it had hurt..." she whispered. "I thought Eric was going to tear me away from him when he took all the magic..." Kristen said, shaking her head stiffly and running her fingers through Demitri's hair to calm herself down.

Alayna smiled lightly, seeing that Kristen was a bit better. "It's over now..." she said quietly. Kristen looked up at Alayna with a relieved smile. The shifter nodded happily, water gathering in her eyes. Alayna looked up at Keith, knowing the look Kristen had given her. "Let's go back to my room." she whispered quietly, rubbing Keith's arm gently.

Keith nodded.
"Alright, just call if you need us, or he wakes up" He said to Kristen, nodding as he saw Demitri move. That was a good thing, he sighed, feeling a small sense of reliefe at the subtle movement.
He laced his fingers with Alayna, slipping out of the room and shutting the door behind him.

Demitri sighed against Kristen's leg. He could heat what she was saying and it made him feel sad, extremely. He sighed again, his body relaxing. Gods did he hurt, everywhere. He had very fuzzy memories of what had actually happened and he just wanted the pain to stop.

Alayna smiled at Kristen as she nodded to them and her eyes fell back on Demitri. Alayna followed Keith out of the room, her shoulders falling once he closed the door. She waited until they were back in her's and Demitri's room before turning around and burring her face in Keith's shirt. "That was so scary..." she whispered. The whole time, Alayna had managed to keep herself together but now that it was over, she felt like she would collasp.


Kristen smiled despite the tears rolling steadily down her cheeks. She was beyond relieved, feeling Demitri sigh and his body relax. He was going to be alright. She told herself this over and over again as she watched him. Her casted arm was against her chest, but she had forced her fingers to lace with his as her other arm held him and her hand passed over his face. Kristen took a shaking breath, before leaning her head against the wall so her tears wouldn't fall on Demitri.

Keith wrapped his arms around Alayna, rubbing her back.
"Believe me, I know" He said, his own voice soft. He continued to try and comfrot her, well mentally reassuring himself. He sighed and kissed the top of her head, "Shh love" He mumbled softly.

Demitri could scent her tears, and it worried him. He tried to force himself awake, but it was nearly impossible. Gods, he wanted to hold her, make her feel better, but he couldn't even open his eyes. It was aggrivating, beyond aggrivating. His fingers clenched for a moment, before he forced himself to relaxe them.

Alayna wasn't crying, but her body was shaking as if she were. She took a shaking breath, relaxing as Keith kissed the top of her head. She smiled, looking up at Keith. "Does this happen often?" she asked, trying to joke about the situation.


Kristen felt Demitri tense and she brushed the tears away quickly. He was awake, Kristen realized, he could hear her. "I'm alright..." she whispered quietly. "I'll be alright. Don't worry..." she passed her good hand over his face soothingly before brushing his hair away again. "Just rest. I'm not leaving." Kristen leaned down to peck his forehead gently. "Don't force yourself alright? I'll still be here.." she said quietly.

Keith laughed, but mainly to keep from sobbing.
"All the time" He teased, shaking his head a bit. "Actually, I think this is a first" He mumbled, releasing her to sit down on her bed, a small, tired smile on his face.

Demitri tensed again, but relaxed. He let out a small sigh, but kept his body relaxed. He knew Kristen understood now, wich hwas good, for him. He gripped her fingers, not hard, careful not to press to hard.

Alayna rubbed her arms, as Keith sat on the bed. She looked over at the clock before laying down next to him. "Maybe this was just a bad dream..." she murmured, closing her eyes and hidding her face in the sheets.


Kristen sighed, feeling Demitri relax finally. She tried not to wince as he tightened his grip on her fingers. It hurt, but it would be nothing compared to what she had felt earlier. She was glad for this hurt though, he was alright if he could move. Kristen sighed, closing her eyes and resting her forehead against Demitri's for a moment.

Keith laughed and lay down next to her, falling asleep nearly instantly, the vampire was mentally exahusted and just needed to sleep.

Demitri curled against Kristen, eyes flickering for a moment. He couldn't hold them open, but he was happy that he had tried. His grip on her fingers lessened, a small, barely noticable smile on his pale, too pale, face. He wanted to tell her he loved her, but his lips refused to work.

Alayna sighed, feeling Keith next to her, laughing. She took a deep breath, feeling him relax. She fell asleep just as fast as he did as Alayna let the breath out slowly.


"I love you." Kristen whispered, the words spilling from her before she could think. She smiled lightly, feeling Demitri move against her once more. She sighed deeply, looking at his face with a calm expression on her own. Kristen chuckled at the smile on his face, happier tears leaving her as she shook her head lightly. "Just rest Demitri..." she told him quietly, closing her eyes.

Keith's eyes flicked open, but he ignored being awake. He wanted to sleep more, longer, he needed it. He rolled over, burying his face in the pillow, he sighed, letting himself drift off again.

Demitri was bored, he could still barely move, and on top of it, he was thirsty. Kristen had fallen asleep hours ago, which he was fine with, but it was boring. He shifted, feeling weak, he debated attempting to grab the bottle of blood he could see on the bedside table, but doubted he could move his arm. He sighed, how would he feed? Shifting again he fought to raise his arm, and managed to twitch his fingers, but that effort alone left him exahusted.

Alayna inhaled deeply, feeling Keith shift on the bed beside her. She looked up, seeing sunlight stream in through the window. Hadn't she just closed her eyes? Alayna let out a small groan before turning to rest against Keith and falling back asleep again.


Kristen julted out of impulse, feeling Demitri shift. It took her a moment to get her barrings, and when she finally did, Kristen opened her eyes. Pulling her arm from Demitri to rub her face, Kristen sighed. What time was it? Kristen didn't have the nerve to look at the clock. It had taken her what felt like hours to finally fall asleep. Opening her eyes, Kristen looked down at Demitri. He had moved again, and she felt him sigh. "Morning..." she mumbled, trying not to chuckle. It was sort of weird, knowing Demitri was awake but not at the same time.

Demitri sighed, rolling onto his stomach, perhaps he could bite the pillow or something. He heard Kristen and smiled, happy that his face was moving a bit more now. He was still starving, but he doubted he could easily convey that, or that she could even do anything about it. His side rested against her leg, and he sighed, irritated and happy all at the same time. He could scent the blood in the bottle beside the bed, and it was driving him crazy.

Krsiten frowned as Demitri rolled over, half a smile still on her face. "What are you doing?" she half laughed, her sleeping mind still confused. She sighed, keeping her casted arm against her chest as she strecthed and yawned. This morning, it sounded like a tiger yawning, not Kristen. She blinked at the sound, that hadn't happened in such a long time... Kristen looked back down at Demitri, shaking her head.

Demitri was a bit suprised at Kristen's yawn, but ignored it. He couldn't say anything right now anyway. He remianed laying on his stomach, even though it hurt, it was better then staring at the blood. He let out a small, dejected sigh, wishing he could just fall asleep and wake up completely fine. This was going to be a long time in bed, even he was aware of that, the small bright side, he doubted Kristen would let anyone near him until he was fine.

Kristen looked over at Demitri, smiling slightly as he lay on his stomach. She reached over to rub his shoulder lightly, careful not to touch the still healing wound that was there.
Her eyes fell to the exposed sheets, no longer blocked by the blankets Demitri had been covered with. Kristen's face went pale; it was stained with blood. Her eyes went back to the vampire and everything clicked at once in her mind. Now she was awake. Kristen cursed. "You're probably starving huh?" she muttered, reaching over him for the bottle on the table. "Here. Roll back over, I'll hold it for you..." she said quietly, uncapping the bottle of blood gently.

Demitri sighed, relieved though in pain. Rolling, he winced and sighed, he could feel scabs pulling on his skin, but thankfully they didn't break. He glanced at Kristen, smiling.
"T-thanks love" His voice a mere whisper. It was the first time he had talked in nearly two days, and his throat hurt as he tried to talk. He knew it would be a sparing thing, talking, until he was healed. He knew Kristen would be overjoyed however.

Kristen couldn't help the grin on her face as Demitir talked. She was beyond happy to hear his voice. At the same time she was concerd, she didn't want him to hurt himself again. She had sceen him wince as he moved, but he had to in order to drink. "Don't push yourself..." she said quietly, tilting the bottle to Demitri's lips and holding it steady for the vampire to drink.

Demitri rolled his now open eyes at her. They had opened a few hours previous, which had been a rather nice change of pace. He parted his lips, letting the sweet tasting liquid invade his waiting mouth, sliding effortlessly down his aching throat. He purred, an automatic reaction. Feeding, well being fed, felt so good right now. He sighed, eyes flickering, he was tired, he almost felt like he could sleep.

Kristen giggled. This sceen was comical. "Man if Keith was here now..." she muttered, shaking her head and laughing. She was glad that Demitri could open his eyes and look at her now. Hearing Demitri purr, Kristen tilted the bottle, giving him a bit more. She sighed, realzing she'd probably have to stock up on these bottles for him. "Better?" Kristen asked, pulling the water bottle away slightly.

"Yes" Demitri said, voice still weak. His eyes shut and he yawned. He could feel sleep, but not sleep, just a vampire substitute. He frowned, eyes opening as he turned his head away from the bottle, telling her he was full. He could feel some of the blood running down his cheek, but he was oblivious. Still tired and weak, his body shook a bit as he rolled onto his side, more comfortable that way.

Kristen nodded, putting the cap back on the bottle and leaning over Demitri to place it back on the beside table. He had drinked nearly half of it. She would definatly need to get more. Looking back at Demitri, Kristen pecked his forhead before slipping off the bed. "Rest." she told him as she walked into the bathroom.


Alayna's eyes opened for the fifth time, and her eyes went straight for the clock. She groaned quietly again; she had only been asleep for ten minutes. Her body wouldn't let her sleep anymore, although she felt completely drained. Sighing deeply, Alayna sat up slowly and dragged herself to the bathroom. Turning on the water, Alayna cleaned her face with cold water to wake herself up better. The water cleared her head slightly and she rubbed her eyes as she walked back out to the bedroom.
