Keith shook his head, he didn't quiet understand abstract. He watched Alayna, "Demitri?" He said, looking at her curiously, the vampire most definately was not purple. He took another sip of his drink, letting out a small sigh as he watched her. She was far more entertaining to watch then the movie, in his opinion.

"I'm not purple" The vampire protested sleepily, watching her paint. He was confused again, and this whole abstract painting wasn't helping.
"Am I purple?" He asked Kristen, his voice slurring in odvious exahustion and confusion. He was almost drunk, or so it seemed.

"No!" Alayna laughed. "He asked what I was doing, and I said I was painting. I know he's not purple." she pulled another paintbrush out and uncapped the black. Even with the purple still wet, Alayna took the smaller paintbrush and moved it over the wet paint carefully.

Kristen laughed outright. She held her stomach and shook her head. "No love, you're not purple. Go back to sleep." she said, running her fingers through his hair again. Alayan's painting was starting to look like a black vine, with tendrials swirling in all different directions but all pointing towards the bottom right had corner. "Wow..." she muttered. "That was pretty fast..."

Keith laughed at Demitri.
"Is he alright?" He asked Kristen, looking between her and the vampire. He was a bit worried about the vampire, he was acting sort of odd.

"Don't laugh at me" Demitri grumbled, eyes flickering shut as he began to zone in and out again. He was definately out of it. Not in a good way, he shuddered once, sleeping, well the vampire version of sleep.

Kristen frowned, looking back at Demitri. Even Keith noticed he was acting differently. It couldn't be just her then. "I'm not sure.." she said quietly, feeling Demitri shuddered as he zoned out. She rubbed her forehead, laying back down on the bed with a small sigh. "He's probably just exhausted..." Kristen mumbled.

Alayna turned to look at Kristen and Demitri as the shifter closed her eyes. She smiled a bit before turning back to her painting. Cleaning off the brush, Alayna uncapped the red once more, dipping the brush in the paint lightly. Tilting her head to one side, Alayna took another step closer as her brushed ran through the middle of the black swirls. The red wasn't in large amounts, and looked faintly like veins, but Alayna painted it in such a way that Demitri may not noticed it right off the back. He would be looking at it from the wrong angel. Stepping away once that was done, Alayna straightened and looked over the painting, a small frown on her face.

Keith nodded, turnng his attention to Alayna's painting. He squinted, looking at it curiously.
"Looks, uh, interesting" He mumbled, he definately didn't not know much about abstract art. He sighed and glanced at Kristen, eyes sympathetic.
"Do you want me to get a healer?" He asked, knowing she was probably really concerned about how Demitri was behaving.

Demitri shifted again, his head felt like it was clogged up, he was confused, really confused. He yawned, his eyes flickering open, then closed. He was still out of it, and he was finding everything all funny again, but he didn't laugh, it seemed like to much of an effort.

Alayna frowned. "It's missing something..." she muttered, tapping the end of her brush against her chin. Her eyes darted over the painting, searching for what she missed. After a moment, Alayna sighed and closed her eyes against the colors. It would come to her eventually.

Kristen looked from Demitri as the vampire shifted back up to Keith. "I don't know..." she muttered quietly, running her fingers through his hair lightly. She was starting to worry, but she didn't understand why.

Keith nodded.
"Well just let me know, but it's probably just his reaction to the healing. He's just ill and who knows how vampires react to healings really" He mumbled, shaking his head. He glanced at Alayna's painting, slightly confused.
"Is it done?" He asked, peering at it. He was still adjusting.

Demitri was aware of voices again, he couldn't make them out, he could hear the roaring in his ears again. He mumbled inchoherently into the pillow, pretty much unaware of where he was at this moment. He inhaled, he could smell paint, lot's of paint, and it was strong. He sneezed again and again, his noise twitching.

"I hope your right Keith..." Kristen muttered, looking back at Demitri as the vampire sneezed. "Bless you." she said, out of habbit before frowning. "Hey...Demitri?" she asked quietly, moving so that she was propped up on one arm again.


Alayna shook her head at Keith. "No..." she muttered, looking back at the painting. "Not completely anyway. For the most part I want to say yes?" the frown came back to her face and she sighed, closing the caps on her paints and opening the window. She'd heard Demitri sneeze, and guessed the fumes must have been bothering him.

Keith glanced at the vampire, rolling his eyes.
"Well, finished or not, it looks really interesting. I think I could grow to like abstract" Keith said, sliding to the foot of the bed so he could see the painting better. He grinned at Alayna, taking a sip of his nearly empty soda and sighing. Despite the odd vampire behaviour, today was really nice.

Demitri heard Kristen and let out a small sigh.
"Yea?' He mumbled, propping himself up and glancing at her. He rubbed at his eyes, yawning again.

Alayna shrugged. "Abstract is abstract. I only do it to clear my head...." she half muttered, rubbing the back of her neck, one hand on her hip as she looked the painting over. "Never really comes out looking like anything though.." she mumbled, tilting her head to the right again.


Kristen sighed as Demitri answered. Her nerves died now as she looked him over. "You ok?" she asked with a slight smirk. That was a bit of a stupid question. "Aside from everything else..." Kristen added in a poor attempt to clear her question.

Keith nodded, "Well either way" He said with a small shrug. He glanced out the window, "I'll be back in a bit" He said, putting the empty soda can on his bedside table and standing. He disappeared down the hall, heading outside and towards the large tree. He had to be outside to do this, and he also had to be far enough away from the others so that they didn't see what was going on.

Demitri shrugged.
"Yes and no I guess" He responded, still rubbing at his eyes. "Physically I feel a lot better, but head feels like it's full of foam or something" He tried to explain, yawning and sighing.

"Alright." Alayna said, nodding to Keith as the angel left the room. She rubbed her eyes again before taking her paintbrushes and bowls to the bathroom. She ran the cold water, washing her bowls free of the paint slowly. More times then not, this helped clear her head too. Today though, it seemed nothing was working; the pain would come back, or the letter would flash in her mind. Sighing, Alayna left the bowls and brushes there to dry before walking out.


"That might be from the healing..." Kristen said, running her fingers lightly over Demitri's forehead. "That or you're just tired..." she smiled lightly, seeing him yawn again.

Keith slipped into a small clearing beside the forest. Sighing he pulled out a small, silver knife and drew it across his hand, letting the blood drip to the ground. Smiling he glanced up, noticing a golden flare appeare above him, before a tall, brown haired angel appeared.
"What?" Castiel demanded, glaring at Keith. "Well, it's time I called in that favor" Keith said with a grin.
"Oh fine" Cas grumbled, crossing his arms, "What do you want?"
"A soilder, I want him sent home" He closed his mind, letting Cas invade his mind for details.
"Alright, it's done" Cas said, taking a deep breath and muttering under his breath.
"Thank you" Keith said, watching the angel disappear.

Demitri nodded, curling against Kristen again.

Kristen smiled at Demitri as he curcled against her once more. She kissed the top of his head gently, before wrapping her good arm around him. She held him like this, trying not to laugh. It was such a role change compared to the previous days. Kristen's eyes wandered over him, that warm feelling spreading through her and she smiled happily. Being like this, with him, felt absouletly perfect.

Hearing Alayna come back out of the bathroom, Kristen drew her eyes from Demitri to look up at the girl. Alayna caught the shifter's eyes and tried to smile, letting her hands fall to her sides. Kristen tilted her head questioningly, not wanting to say anything outloud. Alayna sighed but shook her head. Kristen tried not to shrug, but nodded in understandment.

Keith walked back towards the dorms, feeling relieved, he knew Alayna would be overjoyed, which in turn, made him incredibly happy.
Stepping inside he didn't bother knocking, as this was his room.
"Hey" He called, grinning brightly. He flopped back down on the bed, grabbing another can of soda, happy for the good news he could tell Alayna.

Demitri sighed, everything felt so right, right now. Just being there with Kristen felt perfect, everything about this moment, despite everything that had happened, was perfect. A small, happy sigh escaped him, as he rolled, his back pressed against her side.

"Hiya.." Alayna said, picking up on Keith's good mood almost instantly. She found this a bit odd, but quickly shook the feeling off. She put all her paints back into the box before joining Keith on his bed. She dug around for a candy bar she liked before opening it and eating it slowly. Her eyes wandered over the angel and she nearly choked on her candy. "Keith, you're bleeding." Alayna whispered quietly.

Kristen looked up as Keith came back into the room. She raised an eye brow teasingly, wondering why the angel seemed in such a good mood right now. He hadn't been gone for that long. Looking down at Demitri as the vampire rolled over, Kristen chuckled slightly.

"Yea, I know" Keith said, grinning at Alayna.
"Can I talk to you outside for a second?" He asked her, eyes shining. He smiled at her, wanting to tell her what was up. He was sort of amazed that she hadn't picked up on it, he knew he was in a good mood, but he figured she'd understand why. He rocked back and forth, wiping his hand on his jeans and leaving a red streak. He really didn't care, it was what he had to do to summon Castiel.

Demitri smiled, pressing his back against Kristen.
"Thank you" He mumbled softly, his voice muffled by his arm and the pillow. He stretched out, arching his back, and pressing it against her.

Alayna nodded, standing up from the bed and wincing as Keith ran his hand over the jeans. "Doesn't that hurt?" she asked him, walking out into the hallway. She leaned against the opposite wall, holding the empty candy wrapper in her hand. With her hands at her back, Alayna looked up at Keith, waiting for him to tell her the news.


Once Alayna and Keith left, Kristen slid down in the bed, rolling so that Demitri's back was at her chest. She was careful not to press against his back too much as he moved. "For what?" she whispered, resting her chin gently on his good shoulder.

"No, not really" He faced her, careful to close the door so that Kristen and Demitri didn't overhear.
"I spoke to my 'friend' you're brother's getting sent home. In fact, he's already flying back to the states" He said, smiling brightly at her. He leaned against the wall, waiting for her reaction. He couldn't really go into detail about talking to Castiel, as he wasn't really able to speak about certain things. He smiled at her again, eyes bright.

Demitri sighed, "For taking care of me right now. I know I'm being useless and stuff" He mumbled softly, stretching out and yawning. He was careful not to move to much, as he didn't want to upset her position or anything.

Alayna stared at Keith, and for a while nothing happened. She blinked, and then the tears came. Everything Keith had just said hit her at once, and it sunk in. Her shoulders fell and utter relief washed over her. "Oh Keith!" she exclaimed, wrapping her arms around the angel and digging her face into her shoulder. "Thank you, thank you, thank you so much..." Alayna said through the sobs and his shirt.


Kristen chuckled, rubbing Demitri's arm gently. "I don't mind Demitri..." she said quietly. "We all need taking care of ever so often. Now's your turn. And that's what I'm here for." Kristen smiled resting her head against his neck.

Keith wrapped his arms around Alayna, rubbing his hands down her back to try and sooth her.
"No problem love" He murmured, letting her sob against him. He knew she was overwhelned with emotion. He sighed, "He'll probably be calling you any minute now" He said softly, "Guess you can go home for christmas now and everything" He said with a wide grin. Her family was whole again, which, he assumed, was a good thing.

Demitri nodded, "I suppose I'm not used to it" He murmured, he wasn't used to needing to be taken of, it was strange.

Alayna pulled herself to rub her face clean of tears. She smiled at Keith happily. "Knowing Nicko, the first thing he'll do once he's home is sleep." Alayna muttered, laughing at her statement. "Oh my gosh, Keith thank you." she said again, shaking her head at her tears before leaning over to kiss him. "This means so much to me." Alayna said with a smile, rubbing her face again.


Kristen shrugged. "I figured as much." she said, chuckling lightly. "Which is mainly why I'm not fussing so much..." she added quietly, smirking. Kristen titled her head up to kiss the top of his head softly before resting against him again.

Keith smiled at her.
"Humans and sleep" He said, shaking his head teasingly. He shook his head a bit, and grinned.
"I know love, consider it an early christmas present or something" He said, kissing the top of her head. He was interested in meeting her older brother, he seemed to have such an impact on her, which was rather impressive. He sighed and smiled at her.
"It was really nothing love" He said, grinning at her.

Demitri sighed and shook his head, he was sort of glad that she wasn't fussing to much.
"Oh?" He asked, shaking his head a bit, grinning at her. He sighed, at least physically he was feeling better, perhaps tomorrow he'd be able to get out of bed. That thought was rather exciting.

Alayna giggled again. "Keith, after this, I don't think you would have to get me a christmas present for years." she said, smiling. She sighed, pulling her arms from his neck to hide her face for a moment. She almost couldn't believe it; Nicko would be home! Then she would be able to see him, he would come visit- Pain jabbed at her chest again, but Alayna ignored it. Keith said Nicko was coming home. She would see him soon.


"Mmmh..." Kristen said, her eyes closed as she rested again him. "Considering that after your first attack, I didn't want you to leave the room, then you can imagine my first reaction after this one..." she muttered, smiling teasingly.

Keith laughed softly.
"Whatever you say love" He said, shrugging a bit. He glanced down at her, keeping his arms around her lovingly.
"He sounds like someone I'd like to meet one day" He said softly, caressing her hair rather absentmindedly.

Demitri laughed.
"I'm kind of glad I was out then" He teased. He had a sneaking suspicion that any attempt to move off of the bed was going to get him hit.
