Changing Lives: Medieval RP

Plot:
A small elven Kingdom lays deep in the forbidden woods. The elves are elusive creatures and work hard to remain hidden from the outside world. When a group of human Knights and their charge, a princess get lost in the woods, and stumble upon the secret world of the elves, they are faced with a hard choice. Brave the forest and try to find their way back to their own kingdom, or stay and learn from these creatures. There's a small catch, if they stay, they can't leave.

Appearance: Demitri is tall, standing at nearly 6'4" with light brown hair and eyes. He has a thin, willowy build like that of all his kind. He has pale, flawless skin with only a few scars here and there from previous battles. His hair hangs to just below his ears and is fluffy. His ears are pointed like all of his kind, and his features are decidedly feline. He may look human, but he most certainly is not. He sticks with a pair of breeches, generally black or grey tucked into a pair of knee high, soft deer-skin boots. He wears a loose tunic, generally green on top, unless of course he's going to battle, then he wears special armour.
Personality: Demitri is a very skilled warrior. He tends to be serious at times, forgetting that he is young for his kind. He has been trained his entire life to be a warrior, so he very often attacks first, asks questions later. He does have a bit of a prankster side and has been known to play jokes on his fellow warriors and other elves in the community. He is a trusted friend and loyal, but it takes awhile to earn these things with him.

Appearance: Jon is tall, standing at 6ft exactly. He has light blonde hair and startling blue eyes. He is broad chested and has broad shoulders. His skin is naturally tan and he is without visual blemish. He does, however, have a long scar across his chest, diagonally cutting from hip to shoulder. (Left to right). He generally wears a pair of dark coloured breeches, stiff, knee high leather boots and a grey or brown tunic. Of course through most of the RP he will be armoured.
Personality: Jon is light-hearted, witty and occasionally very random. He finds humor in most anything, but can also be very serious. He is a stealthy fighter and prefers hand to hand combat. He often is found practicing and he takes his work very, very seriously. He is a tad touchy about his honour and is, at times, very prideful. He is highly egotistical and tends to act very brash due to this.

The midday sun was high in the sky, casting it's light down on the tops of the leafy green trees. Nothing was heard, besides the occasional chirp of a bird or the gentle sound of wind in the trees. A sleepy, comfrotable silence hung over the large, yet well hidden and very private elven city. Many thousands of years previous the elves had withdrawn from the normal human society and entered the woods. The ancient forests were their homes, and this particular one housed the royal elven city. The cities name, unknown to humans, was Elsing.
The city, like all those of the elves resided in the middle of the forest, and was intergrated with the trees. Instead of cutting down the forest to accomodate the homes of the elves, the elves lived in perfect harmony with nature. Houses were made from trees, or in fact were inside trees. Large buildings intertwinned around trees and worked with the way of the forest.

As the sun rose higher in the sky, a few of the elusive creatures began to stir from their homes. Slowly familiar noises began to fill the forest, shouts from the few elven children as well as the cries of merchants, selling goods from the other elven cities. One elf moved down the street, he was tall, even for his kind. Strapped too his back were identical twin blades, elven weapons, and therefore industructable. The blades alone marked him as a warrior, and the others gave him a wide birth, cautious of the elf. His peircing brown eyes continued to dart about, automatically surveying the area. His knee-high deer skin boots made no noise on the forest floor, and his green tunic almost blended perfectly with the foliage around him.

He walked quickly, heading towards the small capital of the city, better known as the palace of everlasting life. The elven royalty, rarely seen, but alive nonetheless lived there, and he was desperate to speak with them. There was a report from some of the scouts of humans being in the forest, closer to the city then they had been in nearly a thousand years. The warrior elf, better known as Demitri moved in an almost feline like manner, his slanted eyes giving him an observant expression. The young elf, well young by his kinds standards, was well known in the city, as he was one of the rare and highly trained royal knights.

He arrived at the palance, walking up the path of willows, concious that in and behind each tree, highly trained warriors like himself were stationed, ready to attack if he showed the slightest bit of aggression. Concious of this he kept his hands at his side, never letting them stray towards his weapons. Due to his status he was allowed to keep the weapons, however anyone else would have been required to hand them to a guard at the begining of the path. Carefully he entered the palace, overwhelmed momentairly by it's beauty. Stepping into the cool hall, he wiped his feet, although he was going from dirt floor to another dirt floor, it was the automatic, and respectful act when entering a dwelling. He bowed his head to various guards as he moved further and further into the castle, careful to once again keep his hands at his sides. Coming to an ornate door, he spoke for the first time.


"I'm here to speak to Her Majasty" He murmured, to the door. Automatically the door swung forward, revealing an enormous hall, with glass ceilings and floors, each decorated with scenes of the forest. Entering the chamber he walked down a small spit of carpet, stopping in front of a high backed chair. Instantly he went down on one knee, one hand over his heart. "Yes? Speak?" The queen murmured, her voice soft yet commanding. "Your Majesty, the scouts have reported humans close to the city" He said in a soft, yet respectful.

Jon patted the neck of his tall, black stallion. He nudged him forward, surveying the area as he rode. He had never been this far into the forest, and he had heard some unsettling rumors.
"Easy" He murmured to his horse, patting his neck again as the great war horse pranced nervously. Something felt wrong, strange. The forest felt almost as if were watching him. He glanced around, checking on the Princess, she was liable to run off first chance she got, and then he would lose his head, which he didn't really plan on losing any time soon. The forest was so silent, it felt so wrong. He whirled around, it felt as if something were watching him, them. He had learned very early on in his training to trust his instincts, and now his instincts were telling him to run, to get out of the forest.

Princess Adalaide looked out into the forest solemly. She had almost no emotion on her face, and her lips were tightly closed. She was sitting on top of a bright white horse, being guided by another guard. She was regretfully wearing her armoured clothes with her bow and arrow on her back. "But it is for your own protection," she mocked in her head of what her father had told her only hours ago. She had a small sachel on the saddle of the horse, holding her other dress for when they arrived to their destination. She was beginning to get bored and wanted to look around for a while, it was in her nature after all. She watched the trees wondering when she should try and ditch the guards escorting her to wherever it was they were going now.

"Rikurah, you need to go," the younger elf heard her teacher saying. She had been practicing her with her bow for hours now, and her teacher had refused her any more time. She nodded somewhat sadly, packing her few things and walking away from the grounds. She loved practicing; it was the only thing she could do now in her free time. She walked through the palace, silent on her feet, and pushed her blond hair behind her pointed ears. She walked past the main chamber where the queen sat, overhearing what sounded like her friends' voice. A smile twinkled in her deep blue eyes and a smirk formed on her lips. She walked to the other side of the door, leaning against the wall, to wait for her friend. This was going to be fun hearing the new gossip. However, the guard to her right didn't seem all too happy she was there. She was allowed to be, she was a part of the Royal Army, but it still bothered her sometimes when guards did that. She was just excited to talk about humans, she never got to anymore. No one ever got close enough.

Demitri walked from the palace, pulling his swords from his back. His orders were simple, 'deal with it' of course it wasn't worded like that, but he had slipped into his military mind set. A small smile lit his pale, perfect lips as he thought about what now got to do. He loved battle, fighing was not only his passion, it was his life. His glanced up, seeing Riku nearby.
"Hey" He called, heedless of his voice echoing off of the walls. He slid his blades back into their sheaths on his back and walked over to his friend.
"What are you doing hanging out here?" He asked, she normally was practicing her bow and arrow, having not been given the clear to leave the city yet for scouting missions and such.

Jon let out a small sigh, his hand twitched unconciously to his hip, towards his sword. He was anxious, very anxious. He wasn't sure about actually coming this route. Like all knights he had been trained to avoid the forest. Supposedly the ancient race of elves lived in here, and they were apparently legendary fighters. Not that he believed any of those legends, they were just myths. He glanced at the Princess, wondering if she was alright. This wasn't exactly her cup of tea.

Riku laughed a little when Demitri had asked her what she was doing there. She then said, "You make it sound like it is a bad thing!" She paused and added sadly, "I got kicked out of archery practice, why else would I come here?" She sighed and shook her head pushing the topic away. She then said, "So what did I hear about humans then?" She began walking because she wanted to get away from the guards, and plus they could talk about it more freely on their own.

Adalaide glanced around at the guards surrounding her. She felt uncomfertable for some reason, like she shouldn't be there. It could be because she didn't like being around in places where she didn't feel safe, but even though she pretended the legends didn't exist, she was always cautious of them. She stopped momentarily before getting off of her horse. She grabbed it's reins and looked at one of the guards on a black horse. She said, "Please come with me," she wanted to feel safer wherever she went, but she didn't need all of the guards with her for the time being. She just wanted to walk around for a while to get the strange feeling out of her. She felt a little weird walking in her armour with the bow and arrow on her back; it just didn't feel normal to her. She was used to crowns and long pretty dresses...well she did have to hand it to herself though, her armour was much more fashionable than protective, but it was more protective than her regular outfits.

Demitri laughed and followed along with her.
"Just that the humans are in the forest, and not on the edges, but actually coming straight towards the city. I have been elected to go out and attempt to either deter or stop them from continuing on in this direction" He grinned, and glanced around.
"How would you like to go out with me? Your first scouting mission" He said, waiting to see what she said. He didn't mind taking her out, she had to learn somehow.

Jon glanced up from his contemplation of the forest and nodded.
"Of course your Highness" He murmured, nudging Dark, his stallion forward so he was at her side. He sighed and slipped from Dark's broad back, holding the reins loosely in one hand.
"What can I do for you?" He asked politely. He wasn't used to serving the Princess, he was more of a fighter, on the battle field, not an escort.
