Selena felt embarrassed now. Well, she should have known he had been reading her thoughts. She hadn't been asking him a question when he'd answered, and so it seemed a little obvious now that he would be listening. Slap him, or don't slap him?... She considered the options. Well, if he's reading my thoughts again. Then he should be expecting me to slap him if I decide to. So, maybe that's not the best idead, given the situation.

"If you value your life, I would recommend that you don't slap me.", Alex said, smirking.

Selena didn't say anything in response. She couldn't think of anything to say in this situation, all she could think to do was not slap Alex. Maybe I was wrong. She thought. Maybe I was wrong to tell Bella that Alex had suffered enough pain for now...

Alex got to his feet, the bullet wounds very quickly healing.

Selena just sat back on the ground. She looked up like a lost dog that had followed someone home. Her look was an unthought, unspoken question. 'What now?' It seemed to ask.

Alex picked up vincent by the throat, threw him towards Bella, and walked away. Vincent slammed into Bella, knocking them both down on to the ground.

Selena held her breath. That was so... epic, like something you would see in a movie... or a dream. That was it, wasn't it? This whole thing had been some sort of dream. She was dreaming this. It was strangely long and realistic for a dream, right?... Now that the thought had entered her mind, she sort of hoped all this was just a dream.

Alex continued walknig away. "Hey, thing. Are you coming or not?"

Selena got up off the ground and skipped to catch up to Alex. "Monster, please stop calling me 'thing'. I would appreciate it very much." She said clearly.

'I would appreciate it if you were to capture the demon you freed, repair the violin you destroyed, and put the demon back in the violin, but that's not gonna happen anytime soon, is it?"

Selena looked at the ground. There was no way she would be able to do that. She debated in her mind for a moment. Alex had said he liked her a little. Alex had asked her to kiss him and he would stop. Would he stop calling her thing if she kissed him?

"Possibly.", Alex said, smiling slighty.

Selena was about to, but a thought suddenly accured to her. Last time she had kissed him, he had bitten her. "You won't bite me if I do?" She asked cautiously.

He won't. Selena repeated in her mind. He said he won't, so he won't. She walked closer to Alex nervously and kissed him on the lips.

Alex smiled as Selena kissed him. "Come on, Selena, let's go."

"I wouldn't need to win the lottery." Selena said playfully. "My parents are already rich, or did you seem to forget that?" She questioned Alex.

Selena smiled in response to Alex not arguing. It was true, her parents were rich, they could afford to live in a big house in a nicer neighborhood, but they didn't want to, they enjoyed the sights of this odd little town. Then she suddenly felt something, sorrow. Her father didn't really care, and her mother was the one who had kicked her out temporarily, just because she'd kissed a stranger.

Selena did as Alex said. She hadn't really realized what he'd been saying, only that he'd actually said her name.

Selena was unaware that something was wrong. Maybe I can go back to my home tonight... She thought to herself. Perhaps now her mother would be over the whole sitaution and her father would see it as pointless to force Selena to live 'out on the streets' any more. Her parents didn't know if she was staying with someone or not, they'd probably assumed that she'd literally be living in a street or abandoned building somewhere. How could they guess that she had stayed with someone. They'll probably let me return. She thought happily to herself.
