This Mask is Not Me

"Energy drinks?" She said, confused. As a human she had had them before, and they did nothing to her.
"Do they have a different effect on vampires?" She asked curiously, contemplating the idea now. She was tempted to try it.

Vaix gave a sigh, "yeah. Don't try it." His voice grew rather harsh, though it wasn't mean. "Vampires already have lots of energy, to add more is just crazy. It not only lasts days, but it's terribly consistent, and you get a terrible crash at the end. I slept for two day straight..." He sighed at the memory and shook his head, "you feel gross after the nap too. Like you over slept... just, don't try it..."

She shrugged, "Sounds like a non-stop party to me" She said laughing a bit. Shaye was crazy impulsive and just tended to do things. She loved partying and this sounds sort of amusing to her, although she didn't say it outloud.

Vaix rolled his eyes, "oh right, I forgot you loved things like that..." He kissed her teasingly then looked back at the film. "for my sake then. Please don't do it..."
He knew for telling her not to he was inviting her to, but at least this way she'd know how crazy it would make him if she did do it.

Shaye laughed, "No promises, you're making me really want to" She muttered, glancing at the door, knowing that there was a drink machine just down the hall. She was wrestling with herself internally, wanting to desperately go and get one.

Vaix watched her and gave a sigh, he knew what she was thinking, and it terrified him. He let out a soft sigh and braced himself for whatever choice she made. "Let's just hope Iggy's doesn't come in during your high...you'll make him suicidal..."

Shaye laughed, "I can leave" She said, definately tempted to try still.
"Would you be mad at me if I did try?" She asked, not wanting him to be mad at her, but still wanting to try.

"No," Vaix replied back smoothly, "I'd hide in a corner until it was over. Then give you a big hug after you woke up and plead you don't do it again." He gave her a semi playful look, semi serious, then sighed. "You want to, you go ahead love. I'll try to keep up..." He gave her another smile, but said nothing more.

Shaye tilted her head thoughtfully.
"I'll think about it, although I probably will" She said, glancing at the hall again. Her eyes flashed amusedly as she contemplated the idea. She smiled and tapped her lips thoughtfully.

"You just like to tease me don't you?" Vaix replied back with roll of his eyes, "make me hang of suspense as you make a scary choice like that." He gave a sigh and smiled teasingly, wrapping his arms around her and pulling her in to him playfully. "Why don't you just stay here, little trouble maker?" He gave her a playful tilt of his head and an award winning smile.

Shaye sighed, and grinned at Vaix.
"Fine, I'll stay here" She agreed, leaning against him and focusing her eyes back on the movie.
She was super curious about the energy drinks, but she was content sitting with Vaix right now.

Vaix smiled greatfully as she gave in. He knew she'd try sometime, but at least he'd managed to delay it for now. His eyes closed as he lay still with her, paying only half his attention to the movie, and the other half to Shaye.

Shaye sighed and rested her head against his shoulder, drawing her legs up onto the couch and curling them cat-like around her. Sighing again she pretended to be irritated, knowing that she'd try the energy thing eventaully.

A soft smile played at the corners of Vaix's mouth as Shaye sighed. He knew he couldn't stop her for long, so he wouldn't. He just wanted some mellow attention before Shaye turned into a bouncy ball tied to a rocket.

Shaye sighed, content, for now. Her legs were curled under her still, which looked painful, but in her opinion was actually quiet comfortable.
"So, what do you want to do?" She asked him curiously.

Vaix gave a shrug, "whatever you'd like to do I suppose." He looked at the lay she laid, and gave a sigh. "That looks uncomfortable," he reached out a hand to attempt to shifted her around to make her more comfortable.

She laughed, "Everyone says that, but it's not. I really don't mind" She said, batting his hands. She sighed and checked the time, "Nothing's open yet" She muttered, laughing again softly.

Vaix retracted his hand as she hit it, and glanced up at the clock. "Keith and Iggy's plane is taking a while to land." He tilted his head and gave a sigh asking curiously, "when are they arriving again? I'm not sure i fully remember..."

"I have no idea" Shaye said, shrugging. "Maybe they got delayed or something? A storm that's bad enough can do that" She said, laughing at him a bit.
"You should try it" She said, smiling at him teasingly. None of her friends had ever managed to understand the comfort of her prefered sitting position.

Vaix shuddered at the memory of going through the storm. "Geeze I hope not..." He looked at her position and rolled his eyes, "no. I don't feel like putting myself in discomfort right now. Maybe later." He fluffed up Shaye's hair playfully and glanced at the clock once more with confused eyes. "I hope they're okay."

"The plane will stop at an airport, not in the air" She said, smiling. "Of course they're fine. They're vampires, the plane can't hurt them" She said, smiling at them and shaking her head.
"It's not uncomfortable" She muttered, shaking her head at him and grinning.

Vaix would have objected to the statement, but figured he shouldn't. It wasn't worth it after all. He gave a sigh, "well it looks very unnatural." He comented on her seating stance with a smile and a roll of his eyes.

Shaye laughed, "Bad unnatural?" She asked, curling her legs closer a small smile on her face. She enjoyed freaking people out, especially when they had never seen her sit like that before.

"Yes, bad unnatural." Vaix replied with a soft smile, watching her legs curl up closer with a roll of his eyes. It looked painful, but he wouldn't comment, she obviously liked it. "You're a nut," he said with a soft chuckle.

"You're just jealous cause you're not this flexible" She said, smiling teasingly.
