Riverbrooke was a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. The residents were all pleasant suburban people, and the crime rate was dismal. However there was one house in the neighborhood that stood out. Parents didn’t let their children near it, though the kids would dare each other to go up to the porch and ring the door bell for fun. The neighbors made up legends about the owner. From making her a CIA agent to a vampire to the serial killer you heard about on the news. However, she was none of those things. Ursula was a witch. A weird one at that.

Whether it was her horrible fashion sense, or her occult leanings, she stuck out like a sore thumb. She wore a floppy white hat on top of a messy purple pony tail. Dyed of course. A white crop top and quarter length purple jacket to match the hair came next. And finally, the biggest fashion disaster was her trousers. They were white with purple stripes running vertically from hem to hem. It didn’t matter if she wasn’t a witch, she could weird anyone out just by showing them her closet. Though of course, she didn’t think so.

It was a Sunday when again Ursula could hear the stomping of the children’s feet as they dared each other to get closer and closer to the house. She had been sleeping, or trying to. The kids did this everyday, and it seemed like they were getting noisier and noisier each time. Pulling the sheets over her head, she tried to ignore them but the giggles just got louder and the footsteps more booming.

When suddenly her door bell rang and a childish screech ran off to the ‘safety’ of the other side of the street she decided that she couldn’t take it anymore. Kicking the covers off in the most ineffective way possible, she jumped out of bed. Dropping to her knees by the bed she peered underneath it. Past the dust bunnies and old somethings there was a thick hardback book. She reached for it and lured it out, flipping to a page about warding spells.

The book said to mix spit, sage, and peroxide on a circle in the center of the establishment she wished to protect. It also said to go around the perimeter and sprinkle said sage as a barrier, marking the boundaries. She hated this analytical part of spells but it was necessary. With a bounce in her step she moved to the kitchen to find sage. However - and this was something she had been meaning to do for a while now - none of the ingredients in her stash were labeled. When organizing them she had stupidly thought that she would be able to identify them just by the sense, however horticulture wasn’t her best subject.

She reached in for what looked like sage, and what she thought smelled like it, and began to form the barrier. However a strange women prancing around her home and sprinkling a mysterious substance wasn’t exactly kid friendly and the horrified parents all called their children inside and away from the heretic. Well at least they wouldn’t be around to mess her up. With a final dash of ‘sage’ Ursula completed the boundary and went back into the house to complete the rest of the spell.

She sat, legs crossed in front of the witch’s circle she had drawn. Pouring the remainder of sage onto it. Next a good measure of her saliva, and finally a few careful drops of peroxide. If she went overboard with that stuff the whole thing would blow up in her face, literally. With everything in place Ursula cleared her throat to say the ‘magic words’. “Um Wami Fel”, she closed her eyes as she said it, focusing on her breathing and trying to quell her excitement that these brats wouldn’t’ bother her anymore.

ooc: sorry, I'm not that great with intros.
also, that is why you're never supposed to use ideas from a dream (aka sorry about the character design)

Something wasn't right, and coming from a demon who lived deep within the seven planes of chaos, where everything lay in ruin and dismay, that was saying something completely stupid and redundant. It was the kind of feeling one would keep to themselves, because it was the kind of feeling one could assume to be the most stereotypical pile of crap ever.
But no, seriously, he felt weird today. He felt like he should be hiding under a rock, or running from something that wasn't chasing him. He knew, as a lesser demon, this should be the feeling he had all the time. He lived in hell it was literally a dog eat dog, a demon eat demon, world out there. He was that little fish that had to constantly look out for the big fish, but this weird feeling he had today seemed to surpass all that.

Like he'd stated before, regardless of how idiotic a statement it was: Something wasn't right, and he felt in his gut that he should take all the precautions he could to avoid whatever it was.

Bony, black-skinned hands clutched the ill-woven netting he lugged along with him on his way home. He was an odd demon, odd in the effect like he liked to do more with himself other than just eat and kill stuff. If one had to look at him, and declare his earthy likeness, they'd probably say a human. But he was much more warped than all that, and when he became frightened he became even more so. He walked with a deep slouch, long and spindly his limbs seemed to resemble the anatomically unproportionate sketches of what a model should -but never could- look like. Though in seeing it in reality, one could clearly agree that these 'beauty molds' were best left on paper, as it was anything but beautiful now. His skin, as stated before, was a pitch black, not at all resembling any humanistic color, more so it was the color of tar. From his back jutted a small array of vulturesque feathers, which upon travelling down his elongated neck and meeting his head, smoothly transitioned into fur, or hair, if you'd prefer. Messy and uncut, long, tangled and matted -covering most of his eyes. Along with his hair, a pair of horns jutted from his scalp, they were not the small curled ones of the human mythology, instead they were large, and seemed more antelope-like, curling back with a repetitive ring-texture to them. The horns, as far as color went, were a bleached white, slowly fading into black as they neared his head. The tips of his hair was also hinting some soft white tones, and his fingernails, which were long and talon-like, were transparent. Upon watching him work to carry his things home, one could assume he had the useful ability to let forth as many fully functional arms from his body as he wished, and then retract them back from whence they came on will. His mouth appeared normal at first, despite the black color, but if it were to open, it would be as if one were peering into the mouth of a shark, littered with long twisted fangs and nothing but them, aside from a long black tongue.
Finally, ahead of his black, pointed ears, his eyes lay rooted in his skull, large and daunting like an owls, round and ever vigilant. Green, at first glance, but requiring nothing more than a change of lighting before they took on a vivid shade of lemon-yellow.

His name was Elamondextrixs Von'dragnum, however, whenever he'd had the time to converse with a mortal soul, he'd allowed them to simply refer to him as Elamond. He was not the most repulsive demon in hell, in fact there was no argument on that, but he could be considered one of the...well...least coordinated demons. Despite all his hand availability, his quick reflexes, Elamond was a klutz. When he wasn't knocking things over he was knocking himself over. He was what he liked to call: "Chaotic without intent", and it sucked.
Cause well, sure he was a demon but his still had dignity for Hell's sake! He found it just as hard to be laughed at as the next Joe around here.

His round, glowing eyes drifted down to stare at his net as it started to wriggle again. There were some souls inside, but not for him. They were bate for the higher demons, so that he could live another night, he didn't expect to be able to get home with even one of these currency resembling squabs, but he could still dream of it. It'd be nice to have a real meal by the fire one of these days.
Geeze, it was wriggling again, if it didn't quit it out he'd drop the net. So he kicked it a little bit, bumped it on the ground a few times, then when everything was still carried on his way, making sure to keep his precautions in order as he took his long strides.

Oh man he felt so nervous, what was wrong with him? Everything had been going great so far. He wasn't dead, he had more souls to barter with than usual, and it was a 'nice' day by hell's standards. So why was he...
"Dr-rrop the s-saack, worm."
Elamond froze instantly, his head swirling around to peer at a toad-like creature that had perched itself on a flat rock, enjoying the rays of radiation for the day. It was one of the big fish, the guys to watch out for down here.

Maybe if he played his cards right he wouldn't have to give away all his booty to one demon.
"But sir," he voice crackled with an alien tendency, "you don't even know what I have."
"I kn-nnoow you have it. That makes meee want it. Dr-rrop the s-saack and you live." The toad shifted aggressively on it's feet, readying for a pounce, it's throat bloating every now and again as it talked, displaying the recent things it had ingested.
Another obvious statement said Elamond didn't want to be among those things.

"What if I just gave you one? To make sure you liked it?"
Opps, no wrong move there. He watched the toad turn an array of different colors and display a mouth full of flat, herbivore resembling teeth before it launched itself at him. Elamond was quick to dart to one side, dropping the net and letting the souls run free now that nothing was there to hold it together. The toad roared it fury of losing such a prize to the idiocy of not simply binding the netting shut, and gave to chase. It wasn't much of a chase however, as the toad got in front of him in one powerful bound, making Elamond trip and slid as he tried to hit the breaks, fate pushing him right under the nose of the larger demon. Before he could even attempt to flee the hand of the creature pressed against his chest and kept him down. A pair of his hands covered his ears as shrieking roar was given into his face.

Was this that funny feeling? Was he to die today at the slimy hands of a toad demon? Somehow he'd been expecting more of a fulfilling life. HA, there he went again with the stupid remarks. He had been lucky to live as long as he had in this demented world, fulfilling wasn't used in hell unless you were talking about a good meal, which he was about to become.
He opened a terrified eye to see the monster rear back, looking to take his head clear off, immediately he shut it again, and covered it with his hands.
Damn, damn, damn them all! This was the end of poor Elamond and it had hardly even begun!

He expected the pain of teeth on his flesh, the black void to come to steal away his conscious, instead however, there was a painfully bright beam of light shined down upon the both of them. The toad immediately screamed and hopped away, crushing a few of Elamond's ribs and forcing his first instinct to be to curl up instead of run away. He felt the light boring into his eye, nearly blinding him. He heard words echoing in the depth of the plane.
"Um Wami Fel."
What was that? Magic? Certainly such a thing existed down here but it was no spell he'd ever heard. He felt as if he were being pulled, as if his skin were trying to separate from bone, his eyes leap free from the sockets. It was as if he were caught in some sort of tornado, except there wasn't any spinning, and when he dared to look, it wasn't him that was getting closer, but what he could only painfully make out as a white hole. It seemed to be warping the ceiling of hell to get closer and closer to him and him alone. When he tried to move he felt himself trapped under the forceful gravity of the current events. Just when he thought it couldn't get any worse, he felt his body being forced through this hole, pushing through an ooze he could make out that clogged all his wind pipes and ear holes. He was dragged up and up, until...
until it was all gone. Any lights the witch had lit in her room were put out by a sharp gust of unexplainable wind, or a power-shortage, depending on the form she was using, and Elamond lay curled in the center of the circle.

The pushing, the sucking, nothing was left except himself and the black oozy substance that currently coated him. He didn't know where he was, but he was far to terrified to move and find out. It was bright up here, even with his eyes shut, his hands covering, and the ooze running over them. He felt sort of safe, covered in this stuff, but he was sorrowfully aware that it was dripping off of him at a speedy pace.
Soon he would be exposed...maybe. He didn't even know what had happened.
Maybe he was dead? Was this the afterlife for the afterlife? He didn't understand, he'd thought when a demon died they simply were destroyed into nothing.
He'd try to open his eyes, but the light of earth made him snap them shut again. Damn, damn, damn, damn it all! He was so effing scared. He didn't move, he couldn't move, his ribs were still busted and he felt as if a monster would get him as soon as he showed any signs of life.

This was all wrong, it was weird, it was scary, it... it...
It wasn't right.

Ursula felt her magic take effect. Manifesting itself to complete the spell. However, the implications of this were not what she had been expecting. She opened her eyes not to the peace she desired but to some oozing thing. She couldn’t tell exactly what it was with all that stuff mucking up the place, but she guessed it wasn’t what she wanted. As it dripped off she realized what had happened. A demon! She had summoned a demon into her living room, and he’d decided to bring along this ooze with him!

She mentally kicked herself, and then physically slapped herself. The sage! The sage, it must have been the sage. She’d been so excited to get rid of those kids that she hadn’t thought of what the consequences might be if it wasn’t sage that she had used. Her elders had always told her never to use an ingredient if you weren’t sure of it’s identity. Looks like she had to learn this the hard way.

Ursula wasn’t the best witch. She was functioning sure, she could do spells and all that jazz but as this most recent mess up made very clear, she wasn’t as careful as she could be. This wasn’t the first time, but it was probably the worst. No contest there. While in school she had tried to make a love potion to attract the eye of a boy she fancied. However it just gave him hives. This was definitely worse by far. If the demon was powerful she was at a loss. She didn’t have any other friends in the craft, and she wasn’t powerful enough to banish it herself. However shouldn’t the same power been needed for summoning? Perhaps not, demons are usually very happy to come into the human realm - souls and all -, but not so eager to leave.

Oh and this mess! That gross oozing stuff was seeping into her carpet and it seemed to want to stay. Should have gotten those wood floors after all! “Oh crap” she huffed, running into the kitchen to find a mop or a bucket or something that would save her carpet from the hellish goo. She returned, with mop and bucket in hand, ready to tackle the mess. Oh but there was the problem of the demon she had just summoned. He seemed rather shocked at the moment, so maybe she could just get in there quickly to clean it. She should have waited, was stupid not to. But this was a new carpet and that stuff just looked so sinister.

“Scuse me” Ursula said, tip toeing around the demon and his ooze. She grabbed the mop, staring at it intently. After a good 30 seconds, she opened her mouth again.

“All endearing-cleanliness,
Virtue next to godliness,
Easiest, cheapest, needful’st duty,
To the body health and beauty;
Who that’s human would refuse it,
When a little water does it?”

This was at least something she could do right. Enchanting her mop to clean on its own? Easy! Check to see if she was actually using sage? Too hard! The mop got to work, scrubbing at the black goo, occasionally dunking itself in the bucket full of suds. Ursula couldn’t tell if it was getting the stuff out, but it was doing a better job than she could ever do.

Turning her attention again to the bigger of the two problems, Ursula scoured her memory for any demons that resembled this one. It could have changed it’s form, but usually there were some characteristics of the original left behind. This one however, she could not place. Either it wasn’t a well known demon, or she was just an idiot with no memory.

She decided to play it safe either way. Clearing her throat, she gave a quick bow to the incubus. "M-my name's ursula." stop stuttering, idiot that wouldn't do any good, with power! "I'm a witch. Can I get you anything to drink?" Even if this was a low grade demon, manners were manners.

Ok hum, he was running out of time with this shieldy ooze stuff, he already felt his back becoming exposed, along with the presence of another in the room. He was too wound up to differentiate it between demon and soul, so for all he knew it was that toad just waiting to finish him off.
First thing was first, he had to adjust his eyes to this ghastly bright place he was now residing in. Slowly, but surely, he moved a pair of hand away from his eyes, taking the goo off with them, the lacking of two shields was already hard on his eyes, so he had to sit like that a few seconds until it didn't hurt so bad to just have the eye-lid as protection.
In the meantime he could hear something running about the house, leaving and returning, he twisted a currently blind head to the witch's general direction, allowing his feathers to stand on end on his back in some form of a petty threat display. It wasn't very threatening though, it was more the kind of thing a earth bird did when it was taking a bath or ruffling it's feathers, never the less it was Elamond's equivalent to a human's hair standing on end when they were frightened.

He tensed right up as he heard it get closer to him, and slowly he attempted to open his eyes, first one...then the other-
"Scuse me."
Wait what? Scuse me? Did it just say excuse me...to him? Excuse me?? Whaaatttt. Both eyes snapped open at that, despite the large amount of instant migraine he created for himself. Trying to edge around him with a mop and bucket in hand was a...human? A living human. It's heart was a thumpin in that young and fresh bed of flesh.Mmmmmmm... Silently he decided he wasn't in any danger, and settled down for the most part, despite how terribly confused he was. Oh wait, the human, it was doing something.

"“All endearing-cleanliness,
Virtue next to godliness,
Easiest, cheapest, needful’st duty,
To the body health and beauty;
Who that’s human would refuse it,
When a little water does it?”

What was that now? A spell? He jumped a little as the mop to life burst from Ursula's hand and zoomed over to him, trying to clean up the black mess on the floor. He didn't know why such a thing as cleaning was relevant, but that wasn't what he focused on. He watched the mop itself, reaching out with a hand to poke it as it moved past him. A magic broom...
Oh wait. WAIT.
Magic. Spells. She. She. Him. To him...
His head snapped back round to the lady as the pieces put themselves together. Demons talked about this sort of summons thing quite a bit, being the equivalent of a fairy tale. The pleasant event where the prince married the common girl. A demon being brought up to a land filled with food, and system of logic simply waiting to crumble. The place guarded by angels, the middle ground itself. The lottery all demons wanted to win, that one way trip up to the high life, the easily life...to Earth.

She must be an awful powerful Sorceress to have had the guts to reach into the world of chaos, he decided. She was probably more powerful than he was, best not to question his golden ticket. Just accept it.
"M-my name's Ursula." He tilted his head curiously at her tone, as if the fact she'd stuttered was the most out of place thing that could have happened in this scenario. "A witch. Can I get you anything to drink?" Whoa. That was random wasn't it? Summon a demon and offer him a drink? He wished he could be more familiar with this hospitality thing, but he was from the low-class end of hell. He lived in a hole, not a castle. He didn't have servants, he wasn't even high enough on the ladder to BE a servant. More like a servants assistant if he was lucky.
Earth, Earth, what did they drink in Earth? In his plane of chaos there hadn't been any liquids, well...acids sure but you sure as heck didn't drink that stuff. Only the fancy demons could afford to have drinks imported in from the other planes. So the only liquid a poor slum bum like him knew was...blood.

Oh. But humans didn't like hearing that word, it made them all heeby jeeby, and he didn't want to impose on this fine and most powerful sorceress Ursula...
"I--" he immediately flew into a fit of coughing, having forgotten about all the sludge in his windpipe and lungs. It was hard to remember when you didn't need to breath in the first place. So he sort of threw up another pile of black junk for her mop to drag around, panting a moment, before swallowing and blinking back up at her. "I don't drink, sorry, Miss Ursula Witch." His voice rasped along through the sentences in the most unpleasant of tones, despite how mannerly he'd tried to be. Demons just weren't very good at being polite properly.
After grabbing at and poking the mop a few more times he slowly rose to stand. He was tall, taller than Ursula and any other regular sized mortal by quite a lot (mostly due to his legs) though he was very thin. He almost touched her ceiling. After standing up straight he'd put his original pair of hand on his knees to lean forward, growing another arm to reach out towards the witch tentatively for a shake. Humans shook hands right?

"My name is Elamondextrixs Von'dragnum, but you can call me Elamond, if you find it easier. I'm a demon, as you may have guessed." Que the growing of another arm for that awkward scratch behind the head, "I mean I'm a Collector of Souls, to be exact. I hope I'm what you summoned for."
Large, near emotionless green eyes simply peered blankly at her, the exact opposite of his character filled speech. His eyes seemed void of any feeling, which was probably because they were in extreme pain adjusting to all this earth light.
No matter.

Just make a good impression on her.
And don't screw this up for yourself, this was a once in a lifetime opportunity. Just do what the lady called you here for and maybe if your good she'll let you stay longer.
Oh a demon could dream.

Ohooo. She’d done it now. Souls! Well maybe he could collect the children’s souls, but then the parents would just try to get her arrested or something. Oh how to tell the demon he was only here because of a dumb move on her part. He was probably very excited to be in this world and if she told him he wasn’t actually needed… well she just had to hope he wasn’t very powerful.

And there was the laughter again. Damn kids. Ursula slumped, stomping over to a boot she had left out - she wasn’t very organized. She picked it up, looking at it for a moment to make sure it was sturdy. When she was satisfied with it she suddenly wound up to throw it at the door. The thud should shut those delinquents up for at least 5 minutes, maybe by some miracle they’d find somewhere else to play too. “Stay out!” she bellowed for good measure. She hoped her voice had been deep enough to be a bit scary. Speaking of which… she’d just interrupted something quite scary.

“Sorry about that.” she said, smiling a weak apology. “Well… I think I’ll get myself something if you don’t mind it?” She didn’t wait for an answer and scurried back into the kitchen. It seemed she was trying her hardest to make as much noise as possible, rattling this, dropping that. Really she was just freaking out about the malevolent being she'd just summoned. Sunday sure was a holy day. Ursula took a sip of water, trying to think happy thoughts. Instead of swallowing she gargled for no particular reason other than to stall for time. What a mess. Literally and figuratively. Her high priestess was probably rolling in her grave.

Finally she came back with a half empty bottle of water. The demon was still there, she had hoped he might have disappeared or something while she was gone. Now she had to tell him about her horrible organizational skills and how they’d led to an accidental summoning.

“Hm… So souls.” she spoke under her breath, thinking out loud more than anything. Idiot! How could she mess up this badly? She slapped both hands over her eyes and dragged them down, creating that face little kids made to be annoying. That got some frustration out, but in the long run it helped nothing. He was still there. Even if he wasn’t a high class demon, he’d still be hungry for souls right? Honestly she knew nothing about the low class demons. Didn’t think she’d ever have to deal with them, or any demons for that matter. Smart move.

Looking back to the demon, to Elamond, she smiled warmly trying to seem welcoming. “Pleasure to meet you, Elamond.” please don't take my soul, Elamond. Oh but he seemed like a nice guy, Maybe he'd just be happy he was out of hell for a bit?

"See... The thing is. I didn't actually mean to summon you. As it turns out sage is a lucrative ingredient in spells. Who woulda thought?" anyone with a brain. Suddenly she smiled, clasping her hands together decisively "And sorry but, I don't think I can send you back." A smile made everything better

ooc:: sorry for mistakes and weird organization. I'm on my phone so it's kinda hard

Sooo...she didn't shake his hand, and after a bit he figured he should just give up on that feat, allowing the arm to drop lifelessly and slowly mold back into his body. She looked like she wanted to say something to him, but was having a difficult time spitting it out. Silently he fretted that she wasn't happy with what she'd dragged up, maybe he wasn't strong enough, or he didn't look right, or maybe he was just too...friendly for a demon? Maybe she'd wanted him to go crazy and invoke ultimate chaos on the world? Oh dear, he hoped she wasn't going to destroy him with her all powerful magic, banish him to some inhabitable plane of oblivion or do something nasty until he took his dying breath.

She never got to say though, instead the sounds of high pitched laughter was heard. Being from the realm of chaos, Elamond couldn't assume them to be children, or really anything other than human. He felt sharp pangs of curiosity instead, to see what they were for himself, but there was far too much light over there for him to do more than face door and take a step towards it. He might have braved another step if a boot hadn't gone wizzing by and striking the door with a loud bang and a yell from his summoner. Elamond gave a slight cringe at it, before looking back at Ursula with wide, confused eyes.

"I'm sorry," he started, thinking it was a warning for him instead of the laughter behind the door, but she stopped him with her own apology, before stating she was going to get a drink. "Oh, no. Do go ahead." He rasped back at her as she took off into the kitchen and began making a LOT of noise. His curiosity ragged again, but he didn't want to be hit with a boot if he moved. His two original arms pressed against his chest to make room for a new set, so that he now had four arms. It was a subconscious thing he did to prepare for whatever was going to happen, after all four hands were better than two.

The noises kept on persisting, and Elamond found himself so in awe with everything that he wanted nothing more than to follow this girl around and have her explain everything to him. He was a demon that had had nothing in hell. Nothing but rocks and hair woven nettings and souls to sell. So it was needless to say that everything in her house was something he had not seen before. He felt the need to know itching under his thick black skin, what was she doing? Why did getting a drink take so long? Was it anything like catching souls? Did it take a long time? But this was her home right? So surely she'd have a supply stocked away?

Finally she came back, holding something he had never seen before (big surprise). It was the same as his nails, translucent, but it moved freely in it's clear prison. It looked like uncontaminated acid. Did she drink acid?! Truly she was all powerful! He'd seen mortals grow insane with thirst and plunge themselves into a melting death by the hands of Hell's burning acid oceans. So she was special then, well...specialer. He'd have to make time to be extra respectful to her, least he be smitted for bad behaviour.

"Hm... so souls."
Elamond perked up from his slouched posture, this must be it, his job. Maybe he was just what she's asked for. Maybe she wanted him to collect souls to feed her all powerful magic?
Oh how exciting!

And...then she made a weird face. Uhhhh....ok? Had he missed something? Had he done something wrong? He swallowed lightly in mild anxiety, his eyes drifting around with the occasional glance over his shoulder as if he thought she were referring to some other soul-collecting demon she'd summoned.
"Please to meet you, Elamond."
Ba-boom, maximum confusion had landed. This was good? But that face... He... What. What was happening? Please explain this to Elamond witch girl he couldn't take much more of not understanding anything.

"See... The thing is. I didn't actually mean to summon you. As it turns out sage is a lucrative ingredient in spells. Who woulda thought?"
Well...that was not what he'd been expecting for an explanation. His mouth opened a little bit, not in an aggressive way, but in a surprised, dumbfounded way. He was...an accident? Hum, okay how does one accidentally do what she'd just done?? And now what? She'd just opened the door for a better life for him, and was going to send him back before he could even smell the fresh air?
And sorry but, I don't think I can send you back."

Oh.
Oh no? He wasn't sure how he should feel about any of this. He looked over his shoulder again just to make sure there wasn't any other demon she could be talking too. Nope. Just him. Poor Elamond was ever unwanted as usual.
He looked back at the witch and swallowed lightly. Hopefully she wouldn't dispose of him for a lack of having a way to send him home safely.

"That's okay, I think. If the stories are true, I don't think I'll want to leave? Oh, but if your don't want me around, I sure I could find somewhere else to stay."
Maybe this was a good thing? Maybe he could enjoy earth without any task at hand? Maybe he could stay here forever? Eat all the innocents he wanted. He'd never had an innocent before, only the condemned, but as the stories were told the innocents were a million times better in taste and satisfaction. He felt himself becoming excited again, he was so full of mixed emotions he didn't know what to think. If he should be scared, or happy, or relieved.

Well, she was smiling. That was good, right?
He tried to smile back, but it was more that ominous expression a crazed serial killer gave before tormenting a victim. It was that cheek splitting, horrible fangy grin that suggested nothing less than the inevitable destruction of the mortal soul. If Ursula started to show any signs of fear or further discomfort, his smile would vanish as quickly as it came, and he'd slump back to his earlier expression and posture.

"If I am an accident... What are you going to do with me, all powerful Sorceress?"
He watched her carefully, ready to run or climb a wall or bust the ceiling to get away if she tried to harm him, but he was sure that someone with her power could simply kill whelps like him on will. Elamond certainly hoped she wouldn't kill him, he hoped he was impressive enough to keep around. The fact the option to go home wasn't there meant the answer would either be for better or terrible horrible death.

"Will you smite me?
Oh Satan, he hoped not.

For a second Ursula just stood dumbfounded by Elamond’s arms. Wow demons were cool. Wait was that a defensive or an offensive move? … I don’t think I’ll want to leave?. She smiled at that. So he wasn’t mad! “That’s what I thought! Hell can’t be that great, right?” she smiled a bit wider, trying to match his grin in a way more friendly than competitive. Jeez she really couldn’t tell with this guy. Which was lying: expression or word? Were demons even allowed to lie? Fairies couldn’t lie – they could deceive sure, but not lie – so what about demons? Wow she really should have studied more. Oh well. Ursula decided to trust him, his words seemed genuine enough.

‘… sure I could find somewhere else to stay’. Oops! Another set back. She had set a boundary with this spell. Of course there had been another reason, but there was still the chance that it would bar Elamond from going outside. “Oh! I don’t think you can leave either!” she chimed, changing her expression back to a smile. “You can try, but you should be careful. There are lots of humans out, also the sun. That hurts you, right? I can shut the curtains if you’d like.”

’If I am an accident… what are you going to do with me, all powerful sorceress?” She tried to cover her amusement at that, but only ended up snorting. Oh well, no point hiding it now. “Ha! ‘All powerful sorceress’? You’ve got the wrong gal!” Oh wow what a riot this guy was. Her laughter settled into giggles as she looked back up to Elamond – literally up, this guy sure was tall. Crap! He looked almost scared? Demons could get scared? “Jeez don’t worry, I’m not that powerful.” She tried to sound reassuring, though maybe she shouldn’t have been soothing a demon? I’m more scared of you than you are of me, pal.

“Gosh I guess I should explain, huh?” she dropped to the floor crisscross style as she said it, pointing her finger towards the kitchen so the mop would get out of her way. “Well first of all, I was just trying to get a ward up on my house when I summoned you. See there are these kids and they are so annoying. Kids these days. You’d think that if they were afraid of me they’d leave me alone, right? Wrong!” She had been sitting more or less compact on the rug, but when she said that her arms flew up in a display of how ‘wrong’ the idea was. Now lying on her back, Ursula continued “Soooo the spell I was gonna use called for sage, but silly ole me didn’t mark the herbs! Long story short, what I used wasn’t sage and I guess I summoned you instead. Jeez magic is so temperamental.”

“You’re welcome to stay here! Not just because you probably can’t leave, though.” She sat up again, bringing a thoughtful hand to her chin. “I think there’s a cot in the attic… or you could sleep on the couch?” The witch smiled, shrugging the matter off “Whichever you prefer I guess.” Oh there was that matter of souls wasn’t there? Well she definitely didn’t want him to take hers, so she would have to get some for him? Well that would be hard! She had no idea how to claim a soul, or even who she could get one from without feeling too guilty.

“So… you know how demons eat souls? Is there any sort of… I dunno alternative to that?” A weak suggestion, but oh well. It was better than nothing, wasn’t it?

She stood then, offering Elamond a bright smile and a pat on the shoulder. Oh my… that felt… strange.

"That's what I thought! Hell can't be that great, right?"
She was smiling, so that was good. She didn't seem to have any malicious intent for him yet, so maybe he was playing his cards right after all. He just upheld his own smile. Hell...no hell wasn't fun. It was all he'd ever know though, survival all the time every second of every waking minute. It was full of creatures that wanted nothing more than to eat you, to see you suffer, to see you wither under their greater power. The toad demon had been merciful, it had been looking for a meal alone, instead of to torture and mutilate, if Elamond had died that way, it would have been a peaceful death as far as hell was concerned. The idea of not having to constantly survive was such a foreign concept he wasn't sure if it would be good or bad. Everyone told him it was good, so he allowed himself to believe them, and besides, even if he hated it here, there was no going back.

His eyes widened in surprise as Ursula stated he couldn't leave either. So he was trapped in this place? He didn't even get to see what earth was like? Just an earth house? He felt like he was crying with a silver spoon in his mouth, begging it to be gold instead. Maybe he should just be happy the spoon wasn't made of cardboard and sandpaper anymore for Satan's sake. Still...there was something unappealing about being trapped, even if he was trapped in paradise.
He listened quietly to the witch talk about humans, and the sun. The sun...he'd heard about that too... A ball of fire that floated in the sky and emitted so much light it destroyed his kind on impact. He blinked large owl-like eyes as she suggested shutting the curtains. What was a curtain? Did he want that? Well...they were talking about the sun and the light, and it was so bright right now...
Just take a gamble.
"They tell me the sun burns all demons...but I think it's just light in general. The darker you can make it in here, the nicer it will be for me..." he muttered back to her, rubbing his sore eyes as a subconscious emphasis that he was in pain with all this light floating around the room.

After that, he spoke to her about his purpose, and frowned as she made a most random and unappealing noise with her nose. She began talking to him about her lack of power, and Elamond's head slowly tilted to one side.
Jeeze don't worry, I'm not that powerful."
Elamond stared at her with a blank expression, as if he thought she were lying to him. Seriously though, he was just really confused, and his confusion lead to the easily mislead appearance of a child-like innocence. Hopefully Ursula would be aware enough not to mistake it for Elamond being something good hearted. He was a demon trapped in submission mode. He was obedient, and he was properly behaved...mostly. But should they switch roles, it's be a whole other scene in the home.
Demons would be demons after all.

Thankfully, Ursula offered him an explanation, sitting down as she and dismissing the mop, which Elamond watched go curiously before sitting down across from her and just watching her intently. It was a little bit of an unnerving stare, the kind of look someone in a staring contest would have. Again, being socially acceptable was not a demon's strong point. Emotionally he was a near non-existent mess.

“Well first of all, I was just trying to get a ward up on my house when I summoned you. See there are these kids and they are so annoying. Kids these days. You’d think that if they were afraid of me they’d leave me alone, right? Wrong!”
"Kids," Elamond repeated to himself, looking at the door. The witch was suffering the woes of the not so innocent children, the way she fell over made him think she was displaying her suffering, he should offer his services and make her feel better. It would be win win. He let her finish.
“Soooo the spell I was gonna use called for sage, but silly ole me didn’t mark the herbs! Long story short, what I used wasn’t sage and I guess I summoned you instead. Jeez magic is so temperamental.”
Huh.
So his being here really was an accident. Well that was too bad...he guessed. Must be an unfortunate turn of events for the witch, but a nice turn for himself. As long as the odds were in his favor all was well in his world.
Now. Those children.

"Human children are dark creatures," he breathed, "they prey upon the discriminatable and weak. Their hatred growing larger for each child that joins the pack. They hunt together, to make the game more amusing. Are they tormenting you, witch Ursula? I could catch them, and eat them, and send their tiny hearts back to the parents whom did such a poor job to raise them. They're little spirits could suffer for their crimes on the 2nd plane of oblivion. The plane of wrath."
He was grinning again, grinning because he really and truly 100% thought he was being helpful and kind to the witch. He didn't see anything wrong, or scary, or demented with what he'd just said. He saw it as a way to make an ally, have a friend so to speak. Help the poor girl out.
She was suffering after all.

"Thank you for your hospitality," he responded to her later statement of sleeping in the uh...attic?
"I do not know of Couch or Attic. Do you have anywhere dark for me?" Yup, that was it right there, the only thing he really cared about for living right now. Darkness. Somewhere where is eyes didn't feel like they were burning out of his sockets please. Anywhere dark was good for him, if she could not provide him with darkness, he would find the darkest spot in the house and claim it for him. Because like every other demon, he was possessive.

“So… you know how demons eat souls? Is there any sort of… I dunno alternative to that?”
Elamond perked up at the mention of souls, it was a topic he fully understood and related too best. It was his life that revolved around them. He blinked emotionlessly again as she asked for him to eat something other than souls. He felt a pang of disappointment.

"Do you not have a steady supply of mortals on earth for me to pick at, Ursula? They tell me in hell that the earth is crawling with prey... Do you have sympathy for them? It needn't be a human, if you hadn't the conscious to handle it. I can deal with the souls of animals as well....
But...
If you really cannot. I will eat the flesh from any creature, be it dead or alive."
He had a sour expression on his face, as if he'd expected ice-cream and gotten a scoop full of vegetables instead. Truth be told a minor demon like him had the ability to turn just about anything into fuel, but he wasn't going to tell her that. He'd like to avoid eating rocks if he could help it.
"You could...feed me the souls of all those that torture you. Surely that wouldn't be so hard?" He smiled up at her softly at that. Again, trying to be nice, failing miserably. He watched her stand and place a hand on his shoulder, to which he tensed and became very still, looking up at her with a soft smile.

It felt just as weird to him as it did to her. She was...really warm, and soft. That was the first time anyone had touched him without the intent to kill him or hurt him horribly. That was so weird. You could do that? Just...touch something and not hurt it? One of his hands went up and tried to grab her arm. If he got it he would hold it tightly, probably too tight seeing as how he had no idea how to be gentle. He was probably bruising her, but unless she said something direct to him like "that hurts" he wouldn't know any different, even if she made pain-filled noises. Another hand went to to try and grab her own hand again, then the other two reached forwards to grab at the shoulder and the neck. He'd make another set to grab at her shirt and hair. So soft. It was all so soft, and look! She wasn't dying! He was touching her without malice, such a thing was indeed possible! Wow it was so new and interesting. More hands came from his body, his eyes ever wide and blank, though that scary smile of his still pulled across his face.
He wanted to touch it all, she wasn't breaking as far as he knew, assuming he got her hand he would retract his arms to pull her closer, rotating and moving it around as if he'd never seen a hand before. Talon finger-nails, making gentle pin-prick wounds on her skin. Nothing horrible, but still maybe enough to produce a drop of blood.

Still assuming he got this far without some sort of magic being cast on him, his long tongue would slide from his mouth and gently lick up said drops of blood. Bleeding was one thing he did understand to be bad, but his claws were far to sharp to help it at all. "I'm sorry," he muttered to her, special demon spit healing the small wounds he'd inflicted on her hand, though there was still everything else he was grabbing and inflicting these puny wounds upon.

He did it to satisfy his curiosity, not out of malice.
But to the average human, it probably would seem a lot like he was attacking her.

Oh my… eat the children and send them to the plane of wrath? Were they thinking of the same kids? Were there even kids in hell? She thought she’d heard somewhere that they went to purgatory. But then what was the difference? She really wasn’t very good at religious lore. It wasn’t like religion had ever been very nice to her or her ancestors. Burning wasn’t a very considerate way of inquiring upon one’s magical abilities. No matter the lore, she needed to get this straightened out with Elamond later. For the time being she decided to let it be.

‘Do you have anywhere dark for me?’ Oh finally something she could say yes to! “Attic it is then! I promise there’s hardly any light up there. Oh! But watch out for any ghosts!” she added the last part in jokingly, as if a demon would care about ghosts except to take their souls. Ghosts still had souls, right? So that could be an option as well. Ursula looked back to Elamond, would he get that joke? She hoped, he looked like he needed something to cheer him up. Probably the whole hell thing had gotten him down.

Oh great, now he seemed disappointed that she couldn‘t get him human souls. She felt badly about this, but there wasn‘t much leeway. ‘I can deal with the souls of animals as well.…’ Souls of animals? Perfect! This could work out just fine. She smiled genuinely, happy that she could help. “I can get you animals no problem! Don’t even worry about it.” Now that that was settled the witch didn’t think she’d have to worry about her soul being taken. At least she hoped as much. Again, she gave way to trust. A co-dependent eco-system was developing in her house. He needed her to get souls, and she needed him to stay away from hers. ‘…the souls of all those that torture you.’ Those that tortured her? Did he mean the children? Or perhaps her other neighbors. There had been some torment over the years. Just silly human stuff like pranks and whatnot. She frowned a bit at the thought, but forgot it just as quickly.

And… now what was he doing? Was he mad that she’d touched him? It didn’t seem like it, though he did seem tense. Suddenly Ursula felt a boney hand wrap around her arm a little too tightly. Now it was her turn to be tense. Please don’t kill me. Ursula didn’t mind the hands on her, she just had to remind herself that killing her would mean no souls for Elamond. So he wouldn’t do that, right? Another boney black limb reached down to her hand. Ok that was fine, she didn’t mind that. And then to her shoulder and her neck, and suddenly she wasn’t sure if she was fascinated or afraid. he won't kill you, he needs souls. Yeah but what if he forgot that? She swallowed, suddenly very aware of everything to do with her neck. She’d just gotten over the shock of six arms when another two sprung out. Eight! Jeez this sure was a cool skill, but at the moment she wished there was a limit to them. The new pair grabbed at her hair and shirt. She could feel the purple hair that had fallen out of her pony tail being tugged at it, as well as her shirt being stretched. Oh well, it would return to the normal shape after a wash or two.

Suddenly she got the image of four little kids climbing on her, instead of one demon with too many limbs. She giggled at the thought, letting Elamond tug at her hand and turn it about to examine it. You know you have those too, right? She thought to herself, amused. but just as she felt her mood lightening up, Ursula looked down to see the small puncture wounds had inflicted. Oh no, he actually was mad. What was he going to do? Was he going to use her blood to take her soul? Was that how it worked? As he opened his mouth she closed her eyes, thinking Well this is it, and to think I could have lived another day if only I had some sage!. However instead of a her soul being sucked out of her, Ursula felt something, wet? Was it? She opened her eyes to see Elamond licking her hand where the wounds had been. Had been, they weren’t there anymore. He’d healed her?

He’d healed her! Wonderful! So he wasn’t mad after all! What was this then? Curiosity? Uncertainty? She didn’t know but it didn’t matter. She was just glad that Elamond wasn’t mad at her. Which was about the dumbest thing to be glad about, but then she was a dumb witch. She laughed merrily, not caring about the hands anymore. They were no worry to her if they carried no malice. She reached up to take out her ponytail so that hair would be easier to grab.

Suddenly her smile widened, “Hey Elamond! I think I know what you can do to help me with the kids! You know your um… extra arms?” she touched the closest one with her free hand as she said it. “Well there’s this thing about kids. If they just hear about something scary, they aren’t scared. Instead they’re interested. I guess that’s why they bug me. But!” she brought her pointer finger up sharply to eye level “If they see something scary they’ll totally freak!” She went to clap at that, but her other hand was still being held by Elamond. Instead she brought it to her cheek. Tilting her head into it and back and forth. Oh! That made her dizy

Elamond watched Ursula closely as she promised him there wouldn't be any light in the choice of Attic. Excellent. He found himself excited to go there now, but restrained himself. What would he do at Attic, when all the interest was out here? He'd suffer the light a little bit longer.
"...Oh! But watch out for ghosts"
Elamond stopped, looking up at her a moment as if to see if she was serious before he smiled back at her. "Ghosts? So you do have mortal souls." Maybe she didn't understand that a ghost and a soul were the same thing? Except one got lost and never made it to the afterlife. He'd leave it alone for now, he wasn't laughing, and he didn't really get her joke, but he was smiling up at her with a look of amusement, so it could be easily taken for what Ursula was looking for.

He smiled a little bigger when the witch agreed to bestow upon him the souls of animals. That was great. Animal souls tasted weird, usually because the only time he'd had them was in hell, and it took quite a bit for them to become 'hell worthy' but this way it would be easy for him to taste an innocent for the first time. Oh he was so excited for this! Earth! He was on Earth! And no one would try to kill him and for once he was almost the most powerful creature around, and he could stay safe and secure with the number one most powerful creature around! Even if she humbled herself by saying she wasn't Elamond still respected her power. After all he could only imagine how much energy it would have taken for her to pull off what she had with him.

He continued to man-handle Ursula with the utmost care and curiosity. Slowly rising to his own feet after he finished licking her hand, the tip of his tongue still resting on his lip as he pondered the taste of her. Alive. That was something new, something extremely delicious. But Elamond still wanted to survive, and as much as he would have liked to eat her, she was the one that was going to feed him. He sucked his tongue back into his mouth as she started laughing and giggling and then suddenly becoming afraid and then happy again and he just didn't understand this girl. He watched her do something to her hair that made it instantly grow longer, and his mouth soundlessly opened as he grew another arm just so he could have two to grab at her hair.
Yes, he'd said this before.
But she was SO soft. There was nothing this soft in Hell. No way. How was it even possible? How did she survive being so...lenient of skin? His skin was hard like leather, but hers...it was like...it was like so soft he didn't have a single thing he could compare it too. And her hair. The color wasn't a fascination to him simply because he'd seen rainbows of odd colors in hell, but it too, was soft.

Suddenly Witch Girl's eyes and smile got really big, and Elamond stopped what he was doing to look at her and allow his own smile to fade a little in uncertainty. Did humans like to have their hair grabbed? He gave it a tug to check, and the expression he got was not one of pleasure, so he wondered what was wrong with her. He didn't have to wait long.
"Hey Elamond! I think I know what you can do to help me with the kids! You know your um… extra arms?” She touched on of his arms, and it instinctively dropped what it was doing to grab her free hand instead. "Yes," he responded.
“Well there’s this thing about kids. If they just hear about something scary, they aren't scared. Instead they’re interested. I guess that’s why they bug me. But!” she brought her pointer finger up sharply to eye level, and Elamond switched from the hand to the finger. She couldn't put anything in his face without him wanting to grab it. “If they see something scary they’ll totally freak!”[/i]
Then she did something weird with her face, and Elamond let go of her one hand instantly, keeping the other. Instead the hand grabbed her face, and he watched her closely to make sure this was all okay.

"You want me to find them, and invoke a terror that will never leave their thoughts for the rest of existence?" Truly she was the alpha being here, she didn't want them dead, she wanted them to suffer!
"I will make them suffer for you."
Elamond rasped, grinning, "I will find them while they think they are safe, and I will destroy them mentally! HAHA very good!"
Better than killing them that was for sure! Oh what would he do to horrify them? Should he craft a horrid illusion? Or preform some sort of physical feat? Should he possess the children one at a time and cause betrayal after betrayal until they all no longer trusted one another and dreaded the company of another human being? Oh ho, how exciting!
Oh opps. Now he knew he was grabbing her too tight. He loosened up and removed the hand on her arm, already seeing the beginning of a bruise. She was so delicate, she reallied on her magic so desperately to make her strong.
He let the hand on her face let go too, smiling happily. "Would that please you, Ursula?"

Oh the things he could do to help her make them suffer.

Ursula gave a weird sort of smile. Like she wanted to frown but didn’t want to give way to any vulnerable feelings. What had she expected from a demon anyways? Restraint? She was an idiot. The corners of her mouth dropped into a thoughtful frown as she said “No I don’t think… I don’t think that would be effective in the long run.” Now that she was being examined by the demon so closely, she felt it best to choose her words carefully. “I think it would be best to take the indirect route with this. So as not to raise suspicion” she nodded, agreeing with herself “If it gets too big it’ll be bye bye Ursula” she waved the hand that had been resting on her cheek as she said it, smiling brightly despite her implied death. “So I think I’ll just handle it. Everything should be fine as long as I use the right ingredients this time!”

She felt his grip tighten around her arm in excitement. Ow, jeez he was strong. Just when she thought it might break he let go, leaving a bruise in its place. Ursula examined the discoloration. Maybe with time it would grow to be purple like the rest of her, but for now it was a boring brownish-green.

“Elamond, I don’t exactly mind this, but” she wrapped her hand around the wrist that was touching her neck, tugging lightly away “I think two is enough.” His skin, if it was skin at all, felt strange. The black covering was rough and unlike anything she’d felt before. Well maybe it was close to leather, but that was about it. Demons really were strange. Now it was her turn to be curious as she moved her hand from its position on his wrist to his free hand, holding it so that the fingers splayed out in a relatively exhibited way. She noticed the nails, pushing on them. They were strangely transparent, looking to be delicate despite the menacing shape. However she found they were in fact strong and sturdy. Ursula slid a finger over one of the strange nails, causing a red line of blood to swell up on it.

“Do you think this is what all of your bones look like?” she tapped one of the nails with her thumb as her pointer finger was dirty with blood. “Or do you think it’s more like those horns?” Ursula stood on her tiptoes to try and touch one of them, but ultimately gave up on the effort. He was just too tall.

A smile spread across her face as she rubbed her pointer finger over her lips. A lovely substitute for lipstick, she thought. Though there was no real color, only a reddish smudge. Despite that she seemed content with it. “’Less is more’, they always say.” She mocked, frowning comically as if to disagree with the saying. As her fashion sense and hair may suggest, she was one for more ‘unnatural’ appearances.

“Oh! The attic! I’ll show it to you if you’d like. Are you tired at all?” she knew it was still early, but jet lag could be heavy between realms. She knew she was tired, wanted to take a nap even. Summoning a demon was hard work, and it wasn’t any easier if it was an accident. It might have been harder actually, since she hadn’t prepared for it at all. She wrapped her pinky over his and tugged it to point towards the compartment in the ceiling that dropped down to display the attic. “Up there” she said, a smile on her face once more.

Elamond's excited smile lowered a tad as Ursula spoke, gently turning his offer down with what he saw as doubt in his capabilities. Not effective in the long run? They'd never bother her again! How was that not effective?!
"I do not understand," he breathed, "I promise I will make it...most effective. He started to frown as she talked about suspicion. Ah, now he understood. Alone they were weak but should he do the job wrong, and reveal himself, there may be a group at the doorstep coming to kill them both. Ursula hardly knew him, of course she didn't trust him to hide all evidence leading back to her and himself. Still, he wasn't very pleased about it, watching her wave her hand as she talked about leaving. He did get that joke, if it could be called that. She was smiling while she said it, so he wondered if he should smile too? Why would you smile about that?
He was confused again.
"So I think I'll just handle it..."
Huh? No no let him do it! Oh he would do such a good job for her! It was the least he could do after what she'd done for him! His mouth opened a little as though he wanted to voice his silent protest, but no sound came from his fang filled mouth. He wasn't sure if he should feel insulted by this or what. Had he said something wrong? She'd offered him this job and then taken it away just as quickly. He'd thought he'd done a swell job of confirming that he'd make it a good scare. He contemplated crushing her squishy neck for toying with him like this, and his grip did tighten a little, though not nearly enough to hurt or even begin to choke her. His expression was blank, but it still hinted displeasure behind those big round eyes of his. He was pretty sure demon's couldn't have hurt feelings, but whatever it was he felt it was as close as it would come to that. Anger and frustration probably, he was trying his best here. What was he just not impressive enough? He thought over what he'd said for flaws, had it been to soft? Had she been expecting more of him? He would watch her deal with these human pests, then he would know just how he should handle it to best impress her next time.

Then she said something not so much hurtful as interesting.
"Elamond, I don’t exactly mind this, but... I think two is enough." She grabbed one of his wrists and removed his grip on her neck.
"Two is enough?" he muttered almost as though such a thing was dumbfounding to him. Two was enough? What? But then he could only touch two things at the same time! He wanted to touch all the soft things! He seemed almost pouting and rebellious about removing all his arms, making no move to change the scenario. Instead the Witch Girl grabbed his hand and began inspecting it, and he watched her with just as much curiosity. He already knew what his hand looked like, but he was curious for her reaction to him. She seemed interested, and he blinked as she purposely cut herself with his claws.
"Oh...no don't," he protested to her behaviour, his tongue shooting out of his mouth at lightning speed to lick the wound and disappear again before Ursula could even register what he'd done, though he was sure it wouldn't take a lot of guessing now that that finger was covered in semi-sticky demon spit. Just like he could have as many arms as he wanted, he could make his tongue as long as he wanted, but that was about the extent of his...'talents'.
Pretty lame compared to some of the stuff he's seen other demons do. No wonder he wasn't allowed to scare the children.
Man she tasted so good. He wanted her to cut herself again just so he could taste her blood one more time. He had to exercise extreme self control with her. She would keep him alive far longer than if he ate her. Besides, maybe if he was good she'd let him have a taste every once in a while.
Mmmmmmmmmmmmm....

Oh wait she was talking to him wasn't she?
“Do you think this is what all of your bones look like?” she tapped one of the nails with her thumb. “Or do you think it’s more like those horns?” She stood on her tippy toes to reach them, and Elamond though about it a second, before, turning his chin in and allowing his horns to dip down towards her. They were equally as sharp as his nails were, though only at the very tip, and quietly he wished she hurt herself again.
Come on girly, let Elamond have another little taste. He just wanted to heal you up after all...

"I don't know," Elamond admitted, "I have been lucky enough, to have never seen them. I would assume, since my horns are apart of my skull, that they would be white too, though my flesh is black. I am of a monochromatic color scheme. I am boring colors." He said it because he thought it was true. Black, white, some color in his eyes, blug. He wanted to be like the demons that could be any color they wanted. Oh that would be so cool. Then he would be more interesting for Ursula.
Unfortunately minor demons were not normally very colorful, their survival depending on blending and not standing out. In hell there was so little light except for the occasional fire, black was the best color of camouflage. Black and translucent. He only white too because of a stupid design flaw. White wasn't cool, it was stupid and didn't do anything but wave a flag and get you killed.

Oh my. He must have missed some of that wound, because now there was blood on her lips. Did she think she tasted good too? Did he think he tasted good? Well...sure, when he was hungry. Nothing like amputating a regenerating limb to get by when times were tough. Sorta maybe hurt a lot and caused him a total amounts of damage though, so he despised doing it.

"“’Less is more’, they always say.”
What? No. More was more. You always needed more. More was better, more kept you alive. More...Oh that wound was still there. Insert activation of licking powers here. His tongue went a zipping out to fix her finger for good now, and his tongue receded quickly, stopping to hang an inch out of his mouth, the same black color as the rest of him as he stared at her lips and contemplated licking those too. No...no she might bite his tongue. That was where the teeth were after all...right? Two hands left what they were doing to suddenly pry her mouth open. Oh yes, flat teeth and pointy teeth. He suddenly remembered that she'd smiled at him like a million times and showed off her teeth before. Opps. Whatever. Man her tongue was so short. He poked it with another hand before removing all the hands from her face and actually returning them to his body, 3 out of 9 hands gone. Oh but he'd taken the blood off of her lips when he'd done that.
He let go with another hand and pricked his own skin with one of his nails, smearing demonic blood on her lips. It looked nothing like human's blood, instead it was more like the oil puddles that would get stuck in parking lots from cars. Black, but with lots of colors hidden within the shine. Like regular blood it was salty and bitter, but didn't have that irony taste, instead it was more like the smell of ammonia morphed into a taste.
Yeah. It was gross. She'd think her blood was delicious too if she tasted his, which was quite possible because it was on her mouth. It wouldn't hurt her if it got in her system though...at least, not that small of an amount. Might not want to drink a bottle of it or something unless you wanted to spend the night throwing up, but that small of an amount was harmless.
"There," he grinned again, displaying a wall of shark-like, dagger teeth, "Now you are beautiful again." Stained in blood. Indeed that was beautiful. Maybe humans and demons weren't so different after all.

“Oh! The attic! I’ll show it to you if you’d like. Are you tired at all?”
Elamond blinked at that, retracting all but the original pair of arms, but even those let her go and slumped at his sides.
"I am not allowed to be tired or others will kill me in my sleep...but I am in a reasonable amount of pain from the light. I would like to be in the dark." Another blank, near animalistic expression for her. She wrapped her smallest finger around his as a result, pointing them both at an odd change in her house top.
"Up there"
Oh! A secret place! But she was so short, how she she get up there? He looked down at her a minute, before back at the door.
"Okay. I will open the secret place."
He dragged her by the pinkie towards the trap door, staring it it before abruptly punching a hole in it, making the door fly inside the room and naturally break off so that there was a perfect square in her ceiling. Elamond was pleased by the perfection created in his destruction. Geometric shapes were new to him.
"Please come with me." He looked over at her expectantly. Really he just wanted to see how she got up there, him being so tall it wasn't an issue, but for her...
Well he'd see now wouldn't he?

Ursula did her best to control her breathing as Elamond opened her mouth a bit too wide. This position was undesirably defenseless, especially after that slight pressure change of the grip on her neck. She choked a little at that thought, trying her best not to make unnecessary movements. Her teeth were blunt, really they were designed for grinding not tearing. Humans had two sets of canines and that was it. She remembered the long rows of monstrous teeth that were inside Elamond’s mouth and wondered if he was disappointed at hers. Did he still expect her to be an all powerful sorceress?

She felt one of his strange hands on her tongue. It didn’t really taste like much, at least nothing too bad. She had been expecting something sinister if it was possible to translate that into a taste. She retracted her tongue at the touch, and just as quickly Elamond retracted his hands. It felt good to dampen her mouth and move it as she pleased. Ursula moved her jaw around, letting it move from right to left until it felt just right.

As she looked back to Elamond, Ursula saw he too had pricked his finger. Except his blood wasn’t the dark red of humans. His was an oily black that she found hard to imagine running through anyone’s veins. Though maybe it would be stranger for him to have an anatomy she was used to.

Ursula felt a finger pressing on her lips and when it was gone she realized there was something wet on them. She reached up inquisitively to confirm the substance, but really she already knew what it was. A smudge of oily black blood dotted her. ‘Now you are beautiful again’. Ah, he was referring to her earlier stunt. She smiled widely as her tongue instinctively ran over the substance. It tasted almost like blood, except it didn’t have as tender of a taste. She had licked most of it, and the rest she rubbed off onto her shirt leaving a black smear where there had once only been white.

‘I am not allowed to be tired or others will kill me in my sleep‘ Oh my, that was new. “But… can you be tired? I mean no one’s going to kill you here“ She realized he probably wouldn‘t trust her to uphold this promise, but it was worth offering. ’...but I am in a reasonable amount of pain from the light. I would like to be in the dark.’ It was strange to think that light could actually harm someone, but she wasn’t allowed to be a skeptic given the circumstances.

’Okay. I will open the secret place’. Secret place? No every house had one, you only had to pull the string to get up to it. He was now leading her towards the door instead of what she intended, before she could protest any there was a loud crack like something had been broken. Fearing the worst, Ursula looked up towards the sound to find that Elamond had opened the door inwards. Very forcefully at that.

“Oh… darn” she stood for a moment, considering what to do now. “Elamond…Well see there was a ladder in there. I was gonna use it to get up…” She looked around for something to use as a step. She didn’t have a flying broom or anything, that was far too cliché. Instead she dragged a chair over to stand on it, trying to reach the edges of the opening and pull herself up. However she was too short even for this, she was barely 5’3” She groaned, getting off of the chair and pushing it out of the way. Giving up she said, “Well… that’s the attic. I can go get some stuff for you to use as a bad or…?” she wondered if he would use one, not being allowed to sleep and all.

Rest assured, the bluntness of Usula's teeth had little effect on his impression of her. Afterall, hadn't he been about to be eaten by a frog with similar teeth? He was not dissapointed, he was interested. The shape of the animal never told truth about it's power and status. Anybody could be anything in hell, it was a dangerous fault to underestimate others, especially if you were a minor demon like himself.

He watched her lick up the blood he'd placed on her lips and really wasn't too sure how he felt about it. A part of him wanted to shudder at the thought that she might have just aquired a taste for him, especially when she didn't seem all to revolted at the taste, but then there was that other half that figured she was just trying to be friendly, or show him a lack of fear at licking forgien substances. Then again he could always just reason that it was second nature to lick up what was placed on your mouth. Either way he was uncertian, and he watched her semi-tensely. She probably wouldn't kill him, but he probably shouldn't bait her like that again...

He tentitively responded to her remark on sleeping, and immediately received a question in return.
"But… can you be tired? I mean no one’s going to kill you here."
Ha. Nice try there. No one was going to kill him, if he was indeed scary and threatening here, than that would mean everyone would want to kill him. Fear was a dangerous, powerful, thing that corrupted and twisted the mind to two primal motives: Evacuate, or Fight. Even if humans were squishy and weak, their numbers could easily overtake him. No, he was no safe. He could not sleep.
"Yes, I can be tired if I exhert myself excessively. Sometimes, if there is no other choice, I must sleep, but it is an unwanted burden filled with a lot of careful planning. It is too easy to die in one's sleep to be done more than once a month."

He watched her closely at that, maybe he'd said too much? He should have pretended he never slept at all. Oh dear, in this small space it would be too easy for her to know. He felt his heart thump loudly in his heart, but other than that was visually uneffected. Instead he grabbed her pinkie and opened her secret place.
Instead of looking pleased, Ursula looked startled.
"Oh...Darn."
Uh oh. What had he done wrong? Was he in trouble? Would she hurt him?
“Elamond…Well see there was a ladder in there. I was gonna use it to get up…”
Elamond frowned lightly, looking at the hole and then at her as she pulled up a wooden thing and tried to reach the hole by standing on it. She was still too small. He looked up at the hole again and let out a huff of slight frustration. He didn't understand anything in this world, nothing he did or offered to do was okay. He wondered if he'd manage to get by alright...poor Ursula must be aweful dissapointed with him, even if he was an accident. If he had been some high class demon, if he had actually gotten an education and lived in fine houses, he wouldn't be having this problem.

“Well… that’s the attic. I can go get some stuff for you to use as a bed or…?”
Elamond looked over at her at that, a bed, at least he knew what that was. The thing you used for sleeping. Unfortunately Elamond couldn't afford such a luxury, when he slept he stashed himself away into hiding. He was never comfortable, but at least he was safe. Beds were so out in the open, so exposed. Could he have such a thing? Well...maybe. Ursula was to small to get up on her own so maybe he could?
"Okay," he agreed blindly. He didn't know what sorts of things she would get him to make a bed, but if he didn't use them, he didn't use them. What did he have to lose besides his life?

He looked up at the hole in the ceiling and quietly lifted his arms to grab the hole and hoist himself up. Ursula was right, up here it was darker, and he felt himself relax a great deal -so much so even that he left out a soft sigh. His eyes hesitantly looked back down through the hole he'd came and watched for Ursula's return, pressing himself to the cool floorboards for relief from the earlier light blastings. Being up here, through the hole it felt like a sonna. He felt waves of heat coming up through it, and instinctively wish to plug the hole once he'd taken what he needed from downstairs. He had the full intent of grabbing Ursula and bringing her up here with him as soon as she declared she'd brought everything. His eyes, which had been slightly squinted before, were now opened at full force, and should Ursula look up, the light that relected off his eyes would be similar to that seen off any other nocturnal animal. Two beaming headlights in the dark, attached to liquid shadow.
When she came back, Elamond would mutter, "Come up with me Ursula," and reach out two hands for her to grab so that he might pull her up with him.

He was still very excited, and now that he wasn't in pain he felt himself feeling more eager.
