Inception (Semi+/lit)

((I got the idea from the movie Inception, going into dreams and creating things sounded like a good idea for an Rp to me =P))


Plot: A team of people are entering into the world of shared dreaming once more. They were paid a large some of money to extract some information from a very powerful person. Each person has their motives for why they want their money, and why they're still in the illegal business. They each have their jobs and are ready for a quick buck. Although as they enter the dream they realise one of them has an ulterior motive to pull inception on the mark. No one else realises this until this person pulls them into deeper levels of dreams. The problem with this is now that if they die in the dream, instead of waking up, they end up in limbo. Plus, the person wants to keep pulling them down until they end up in the dream level before limbo, because it's the only way to pull off inception. Will the team be able to figure out who The Shade is and get out of the dream before they go into limbo?

Appearance: In general he wears a suit, but when not working he wears a blue polo and khaki pants.
Personality: He is an outgoing and self-confident man, usually talkative and at ease in others' company. Depending on the case, some people may find him highly likable while others may find him a bit annoying. His merits tend to be honesty, directness and loyalty, and his weaknesses probably explosiveness and lack of tact. He likes what he likes, and will stand little of what disgusts him.
Relation To Others: He doesn't know any of the team, not knowing that they're actually real.
Other: He has had very little training in defense of extraction. His subconcious can find people faster than most, but it's also not that fast.

ooc: seeing as no one's joining I'm probably gonna double up fire XD

ooc: umm the extractor and the shade I think...I mean we don't absolutely need a shade if no one wants to be evil though XD

ooc: okay cool, and I'm assuming so...but if they were hired separate they don't necessarily need to know everyone. Just whatever you want =P

OOC: Alright, I'd say they already know eachother, saves akward introductions.
Btw, my character is going to be Kolton Williams.

ooc: okay, I'll probably make a quick bio for my charrie...and I might mix my charrie with another job position. That way it won't seem like they're just there to be evil =P

Legal Occupation: She doesn't have one.
Personality: She is always completely focused on the task at hand, and this is why she appears so confident outwardly all of the time because she has her game together on the inside. She has complete control of her emotions and seems to put off an "I don't care what anyone else thinks" vibe. Her confidence borders on arrogance, making her feel like she can do anything. She can be nice when she wants to be, but she can also be a real stickler when she's mad.
Relation to others: She knows everyone on the team, except The Mark.
Other: Is secretly being paid by a second compnay to try and perform inception on The Mark, but she can't do it without getting The Extractor to help out.

ooc: So we should probably do intros now, huh? I'll go first I guess, unless if you want to go first XD

OOC: You can go first XD

ooc: okay, lemme let my laptop charge for a few minutes and then I'll get going on that. Also, do you care if we immediately start in the dream world or reality first? I was thinking reality just to set up the job and such.

OOC: I agree, reality, setting up the job. So maybe starting off in a fancy board room, getting everything explained or something.

Ooc: yeah that's what I was thinking. I'll probably use a npc to explain the job to everyone and use them for a couple posts just to get things set up.

OOC: Sounds like a plan =]

There were six people sitting, the boardroom was the scene, and there was currently absolute silence. The room was located at the top floor of a reflecting skyscraper, and it was larger than some people's houses. It was well decorated, a large table running across the entire room, and an almost stage looking area for whoever was giving the speech of that day. The five sitting down were fairly spread out, and the the sixth man, the man giving the speech was just finishing up setting up.
One of them there was Layla Balet, a professional share-dreamer. It wasn't really a legal business persay, but it was what she was good at. She was actually surpised that a company like this was actually working in illegal stuff like this. Though she guessed that if anyone found out they could pay them out, or other things. She sighed, pushing her few brown stray hairs away from her face. She always dressed professionally, and had her hair back, it made things easier in dream levels. She herself was a professional Forger. That meant she could change anything like money, signs, cards, whatever. She could actually change herself too, well if she followed things enough. She can mask herself to mimick peoples' mannerisms and make others in the dream think that she is actually someone else. Her job was specifically good for tricking the mark into helping them steal from their own subconcious, or even help the first step of inception.
She looked over just as she heard the man in the fancy suit clear his throat. He turned on a projection screen and made sure her had everone's attention. He cleared his throat once more and said, "Hello all of you, I'm Mr. Charles, a representative of BRH Industries. You've all been called here to help on a very important extraction. We've heard that you are the best in each of your areas, and you will be paid hansomly for it." He clicked past the introductory screen and continued, "I'm going to go over a few reminders of things before I give you your target. One is that no one hears about this. Ever. There will be consequenses if you don't comply. Another is that you will not tell the mark that you're real people; we can't risk the dream collapsing. This brings us to the third thing; don't let the dream collapse until you're finished with your job. You will be put in a sedation deep enough that you will go into limbo if you get killed or if the dream collapses before the sedation ends. You all have a folder in front of you of what your specific job is and everything you need to know about eachother. I'm sure most of you know eachother already however." He clicked onto the next slide, "Moving on. This is your mark. Nathan James. He's one of the board of directors in the CIA, and the one that knows most of the CIA's secrets. He's in charge of money and what needs to be kept a secret. We want to know what they do with their money and what they're keeping from everyone. Once we know we'll be able to...well you don't need to know that part." He paused before quickly going to the next slide, "If any of you have any questions, now would be the time to ask."
Layla was the first to blurt out a question, "How much time do we have before we have to pull this off? How long will we be sedated for? And where will we be going under?"
The man couldn't help but laugh at how quickly one of the people in their seats asked a question. He made himself stop before answering, "You have two days preparation, you will be sedated for 10 hours, and we're going to do the job while he's at his house. He lives in a penthouse and we've bought out his staff, we can get in and get out before his sedation ends.
Layla nodded before pulling her folder closer to her opening it up to look at it.
