Stranded (semi-lit+)

Just trying this one out =P

Plot: Everyone knows what it feels like to have to be stuck on a holiday with your extended family. Well how long do you think you'd survive if you were stuck in a house with most of your family for a few days? I know I wouldn't make it, but this is what's gonna happen to this family. Some are excited while others are deffinately not looking forward to it. The family decided to take a trip up into the mountains for a family reunion and none of them were smart enough to check the weather. The night after arrive a terrible ice storm occurs leaving the whole family stuck until it passes over. Will the family bond or have even more troubles then before?

Name: Nathan James
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Relation: Second cousin of Elle
Personality: He is ambitious and hard-working, and he wants to be appreciated for it. He's highly social and enjoys the company of others. Things come easy to him, so sometimes he expects others to keep up at the same pace as him, even if they don't need to. He's quite the people-pleaser, sometimes to a fault. He is very down to earth, practical, and has a very high energy expenditure.
Family Relationships: Doesn't really like spending time with the extended family at all. They live on different continents even, so he doesn't find it important.
Other: His family's from London and he has no idea why his parents care enough to keep traveling to America to visit random family.

Name: Elle Flynn
Age: 15
Gender: Female
Realtion: Second cousin of Nate
Personality: She is sweet to everyone she meets and is outgoing. She is more on the shy side, but she is very brave. She is one of those people that will just about stand up for anyone as long as they are a good person. She keeps her friends for life, and she would never hurt a fly.
Family Relationships: She always looks forward to seeing the family because she's so shy around everyone and they're the only people she feels comfertable around.
Other: Her family lives in Santa Monica, CA and was visiting the mountains already before everone else got there.

Name: Sara James
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Relation: Nate's twin, Elle's second cousin, Adrian's first cousin.
Personality:
Sara is upbeat, random, and somewhat hyper. She can be condecending and catty. She is an extremely social person, and popular. She spends tons of time with her friends, loves to go out dancing or partying. She doesn't really enjoy being home, and prefers being out and about. She is a bit vain, and can spend hours locked in the washroom or her bedroom. She shops, a lot, and has been known to be a notorious flirt. She know's she's pretty, and has been known to use that to her advantage.
Family Relationship: She likes spending time with her brother, but besides that, no one else really. She's not amused about being dragged to some cabin in the middle of nowhere, as she considers it a complete waste of time. She's not fond of many of her extend family members, and considers the holiday to be a punishment of some kind.
Other: Her family's from London.

Name: Adrian Black
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Relation: Nate and Sara's first cousin, third cousin of Elle.
Personality:
Adrian is reclusive, and quiet. He enjoys being by himself, and has been pegged as sort of a loner. He reads and writes, a lot, plays guitar and bass, and writes his own music. He tends to fancy himself a 'tortured' soul, and spends hours writing. He doesn't go out much, but he loves the outdoors. He often can be found in the hammock or forest behind his house, wandering amilessly. his family owns horses, and despite his reclusive nature, he loves riding, and has a horse of his own. He loves drawing as well, though it's a very personal thing for him.
Family relations: He doesn't understand the point of this vacation, but he is curious about meeting some family he has never met before, he also sees it as an oppertunity to write some music away from the 'hustle and bustle' of his farm.
Other: His family is from Western Canada.

Elle Flynn, a fifteen year old girl, was sitting quietly on a couch with a book. She was facing the window watching the snow trickle down slowly but it seemed to be speeding up as the day went on. She glanced at it curiously before placing her nose back in her book. She was pretty much a book worm her whole life and didn't talk to people much. Only her family had arrived at the cabin a couple days early and she hadn't said a word sinse she had gotten there. Not only was she nervous to see the family, she also wasn't sure if she was excited about it. She sighed looking out the window once again wondering what to do. She then blinked curiously seeing a car pull up by the cabin, it must've been her extended family arriving.

Nate sat in the car restlessly looking out the window. They had flown for twelve hours and stayed at a hotel the night before just to get here. Now that he had been rested he wanted to run around or something just because of sitting so long. He looked to the back of the car seeing his guitar and suitcase, at least he could just chill with his sister and maybe catch up on a few movies. He watched as the car slowed to a stop, and stepped outside quickly. He jumped up and down a few times to warm up and looked at the cabin. It looked old and ugly, and it was snowing like crazy. He shook his head opening the trunk and waiting for his family to grab their things too.

Adrian let out a small sigh as he grabbed his duffle bag and guitar case of the converyer belt at the airport.
"Ready?" His mom called, smiling at him as she grabbed her own bag. "Yea" He mumbled, his iPod headphones were in, so he wasn't really listening. He smiled half-heartedly at her as she led the way to the rented car. It was only him and his mom, his dad had passed away a few years back, so he and his mom ran the ranch now. The ranch wasn't just a ranch, but it was also a 'dude' ranch. Lots of people came from the city and came to try their hand at living on a ranch. He sighed, shaking his head, he wanted to go back home, but at the same time, he wanted to go back home, ride his horse, relaxe, but his mom had wanted to see her family. And he really didn't mind seeing some people in his family. He had never met them before.

Sara sighed, stretching out in the backseat of the car as it pulled up to the cabin. She laughed watching as her brother practically threw himself from the vehicle. She rolled her eyes, stepping out, dark hair bouncing off her shoulders. She pulled her jacket tighter around her shoulders, sighing as the snow settled itself in her hair. Walking around back, she grabbed her two bags, all that her parents had let her bring, she had had two more.
"Well, this looks comfy" She grumbled sarcastically. She was tired, jetlagged, and she wanted to go home. She was missing a lot for this stupid family reunion or whatever.

Nate laughed at what his sister said while grabbing his bag and guitar. He jogged quickly up to the porch too cold to wait for his parents. Plus his parents had made him wear a black turtleneck to keep warm. He hated it when they choose his clothes still, he was seventeen after all. He had on slightly baggy light wash jeans and a White Long sleeved polo with a red graphic tee under the stupid turtleneck. He looked back at his family quickly before opening the door and stepping inside. He thought the room had been empty but he did see a girl in the room facing away from him. He shrugged pulling off his turtleneck quickly and tossing it on a chair as well as sticking his suitcase on it.

Elle watched as a couple got out of the car. They must've been the twins because the two looked an aweful lot alike, well except for the fact that the girl looked like she had tanned much more than the boy. She shrugged her shoulders at the thought while she began to get nervous. She stuck her nose back in her book seeing the boy running over to the door and stepping in. She had stayed facing away from him and didn't dare look for the time being. Boy she hated being so shy.

Sara followed her twin inside, barely glancing at Elle in the process. She hadn't been forced to wear anything by her parents, since she was already wearing a thick, but nice looking long, wool winter jacket. She arched an eyebrow looking around the tiny cabin, disgusted.
"Where are we sleeping?" She said, looking at her mother with a tart expression.
"Well you two are upstairs, you're sharing" Her mother replied, quickly ducking inside and shutting the door.
"Ex-cuse me?" Sara said, she had never shared a room before, particularly with her brother. She kicked off her uggs and sighed, hiking her one bag higher on her shoulder and disappearing up the stairs, grumbling under her breath all the while.

Adrian's mom cursed, trying to drive in the snowy weather.
"Good thing we're used to this" She mumbled, navigating up the steep hill towards the cabin.
"So who's all going to this?" Adrian asked, putting his iPod in his pocket.
"Lots of people. Shh, I need to concentrate" She said, smiling at him warily.

Personality: Daniella, or Dani as she perfers, is a very happy girl. She loves most of the world. Hot weather, snow. She doesn't care. She's very sweet and is easily excited. She's a huge flirt and very notorious for getting in trouble. However, she is very kind. She's always perky. She's smart, funny, and outgoing. She's very pretty and she knows it.
Family Relationship: She doens't know much of her family, since her family moved out of the states before she was born. She hopes to get to know all of her family and hopes they like her. She's very excited about the reunion.
Other: Her family's from Italy.


Name: Buria Galina Jackson
Age: 18

Relation: Elle and Daniella's first cousin, Nate and Sara's second cousin, Adrian's third cousin
Personality: Buria, or Ria, is very rugged. She's a very outdoorsy person. She loves the outdoors. She keeps to herself mostly. She's a bookworm. She's very smart. She's a tomboy. She's usually quiet, but she's sweet. She believes herself more as a boy than a girl. She loves to have fun. She loves her horses and misses her farm already. She hates her name, because she thinks it is stupid, meaning storm is Russian, so she shortens it to Ria to make it easier.
Family Relationship: She doesn't know her extended family because it never "occured" to her parents to have them introduced. She's a bit nervous, but is very happy to be meeting her family, finally.
Other: Her family is from Tennesse.

"Daniella," her mother said from the front seat. The two 'l's were supposed to be blended together slightly to make a soft 'j' sound. It sounded more like Danjella when her mother said it though. Dani sighed from the backseat.
"Sì?" -yes- she returned, pulling an earphone from her ear.
"We're here," her mother said. Her mother and father had picked up a slight Italian accent while Dani spoke both English and Italian but had a strong Italian accent.
"Okay, la madre," -Okay, Mother- Dani said as she began packing her things back into her bag. Her shook her head. "Non sono molto bravo in inglese, la mamma," -I am not very good at English, Mother- Dani complained.
"E?" -And?- her mother replied in her own Italian.
"Whatever," Dani replied in English.
"See? Acting like a true American teenager." Her mother said as they pulled up to a log cabin. Dani looked at it. It looked old, but it made her think maybe it was meant to look that way. No matter. It was snowing very hard around the cabin. No matter. Dani would find something fun to do anyway.
She stepped out of the car. A designer pair of jeans and a designer woven black sweater was grundgy for Dani. She was wearing black leather, knee-high, flat sole boots. She had her hair straightened down her back, but she barely wore any makeup. She walked around and reached for her two bags (plus carry-on), it was all she was allowed to bring. She sighed and started toward the cabin steps.
