Demitri stiffened at the sound of Nicko's voice in the hallway again.
"He want's Alayna to leave" He said, his voice monotone. He wasn't to pleased with the solider at the moment. Alayna leaving would destroy Keith, which was something he wouldn't allow. The angel had been through more then enough, and some of the more recent stuff was for Alayna, he wouldn't allow Keith to be hurt. He glanced at Kristen, "If she leaves, it will completely destroy Keith" He said, his voice still flat. He wasn't annoyed at her, not at all, but he was annoyed now. He stood up and leaned against the wall, waiting to hear what else would happen.

Keith was half asleep, but he heard what Nicko said. After that, it was silent, which made him extremely anxious. He shifted in the bed, trying to sit up, but swooning and falling back against the pillows. Something was wrong, Alayna, other stuff. His head was spinning and the world was going dark. A small breath escaped him, but he fell back, passing out.

Kristen watched Demitri. She had heard Nicko and Alayna's voices in the hallway, but she couldn't exactly hear their conversation. Bitting her lip, Kristen shook her head. "Well, maybe she can reason with him..." Kristen murmured. "I doubt she wants to leave right now..." The shifter inhaled sharply at the mention of Keith. Demitri was right, it would destory Keith. "Well just listen for now.." she murmured as the vampire stood up, not sure if he was going to step into the sibilings converstaion.

Alayna let out a rough breath and shook her head. "I can't leave." she said against her brother's anger.
"Well you aren't staying here much longer." Nicko said, folding his arms over his chest. Alayna ran her fingers through her hair and paced, aggerivated. "Has school even started yet? Cause these past two days you haven't gone to class."
Alayna winced. There was no way she could explain that one to him. "No, it hasn't. And I want to stay here in it does." she said sharply.
"And when will that be?" Nicko asked, half rhetorically. "Before or after you get yourself trapped in another Demon's plan for revenge? You are not like these friends or yours. No where close."
"But I'm not normal either!" Alayna snapped. "I have just as much a right to be here as they do. And these friends of mine, have risked their lives to save me. Look what Keith did for you! How could you want to take me away after all he's done for us?" Alayna's voice was shaking now, and she was fighting back tears.

"Reason or scream and shout" Demitri said, growling a bit.
"Nicko's not exactly being kind" He murmured, poor Alayna, her brother was basically condeming her friends, not that he cared what the human thought of him. He frowned, "Alayna's gonna start crying, that wont be good. Nicko will call her immature and say she's a child who can't make her own decisions. He's also brining up the whole 'school' thing. It's not gonna end well" He muttered, shaking his head and frowning. He didn't like how Nicko was behaving, but if Alayna got frusturated, she wouldn't be able to just talk to her brother, and then it wouldn't end well.

OOC:: Alayna should end up leaving =] Not forever, but enough to cause some more drama. Then like Keith, Kristen and Demitri should all like randomly show up at her house or something.

"He's probably just stressed..." Kristen reasoned. By now, she was standing next to him, half leaning to listen to the sibilings down the hallway. They weren't exactly shouting, Demitri just had sensitve hearing. "Wouldn't you be if I had been attacked by that Demon like Alayna was?" she asked, trying to give him an example.


Nicko inhaled deeply, letting it out slowly. "I'm not saying that I'm not grateful for what he's done." he said slowly. "But I don't like the idea of you being here, Alayna."
She sighed, looking around as she thought. "At least give me till Christmas break? I can't leave...not now..." her voice broke then and she rubbed her eyes angrily. Now she was crying, but she was doing her best to ignore the tears.
Her brother took a few paces away from her, rubbing his face as well. He turned to look back at the closed dorm door, hands on his hips. Shaking his head, Nicko nodded to the door. "Go check on him," he muttered. Alayna didn't heistate, wanting to leave more than anything. She walked back into the dorm, slamming the door shut on accident. Alayna winced, realizing Keith was asleep, and hoping she hadn't woke him.

After my post we can. Keith'll still be recovering around Christmas anyway lol. He'll be almost better.

BIC:
Demitri frowned, "Christmas" He said, he wasn't ready to for this, Keith would be devestated, and it was all Nicko's fault. Didn't his time with the angels tell him about what Keith had already been through, to take away Alayna was practically condeming the angel to death. He clenched his fists.
"I'd be worried sick if the same thing happened to you, but I would never force you to leave your friends" He said, his voice soft.
He began to pace around the room, worrying about Keith and Alayna, and debating on whether or not to still go hunting. Sighing he glanced at Kristen.
"I really need to hunt, I'll be back later" He said, turning and disappearing out the window.

{{Well, if you want to skip to christmas, then I'll let Alayna stay at the school, it'll have more of an effect xD}}

Kristen rubbed her face, shaking her head. "Yea. See you later." She murmured as Demitri left. Sitting on her bed, Kristen unwrapped her arm to remove the sticthes. She winced after they were gone, having moved her arm the wrong way to place it back in the sling.
Walking out of her room, Kristen closed the door shut before walking down the hallway. Nicko was leaning against the wall across from Demitri's room. Kristen tried to smile lightly before walking into the dorm.
"Hey..." Kristen whispered, seeing that Keith was asleep. Alayna was sitting on the bed next to the angel, holding his hand gently.
"You heard?" it wasn't much of a question.
"Yea...is he letting you stay until Christmas break?" Kristen asked. Alayna didn't turn to face the shifter.
"I'll stay anyway. I'm not leaving." Alayna said sternly.

BIC:
Snow was falling, well that was typical around this time of the year. Most students were getting ready for the holidays. The school had been decorated, badly, in an attempt to celebrate the holidays, for students who chose to remain at the school. Classes had resumed in the first week of October, and the holidays had been much anticipated by the student body.

Demitri sighed and sat on his bag, his snow board was leaned up against the wall, and he was resting, well, waiting for the others.
Keith was showering, the angel was getting better, but he was still pretty beat up, mainly due to the demonic magic, and he was moving a lot slower then normal. He had no idea where Kristen and Alayna had gotten too, but he didn't really care at that moment, they'd show up when they chose. In his right hand, three plane tickets were held, as Alayna was not going to Russia with them, and Keith was going fairly reluctantly. It had taken a lot of pleading and harrassing to get the angel to come, but Demitri just didn't feel comfortable leaving him at the school, alone.

Keith sighed and winced as the hot water pounded against his still injured sighed. He still wasn't sure about going to Russia, but Demitri wouldn't let him stay here, and he couldn't go with Alayna, that wouldn't be a good idea anyway. He sighed and slid from the water, slowly pulling on his clothes and stepped out of the shower.
"Hey" He murmured to the vampire, sitting wairly on the bed. The injury was getting to him, a lot more then he was letting on. He still couldn't use his wings, in fact, he hadn't even seen them since the fight with the demon.

"This, and this, and...crap where is--"
"Um, I think you'll need this..."
"Oh, yes! Thanks. Ok, got that...that...good!" With half a grunt, Alayna shut her last suitcase. The bed springs squeaked in protest, and Kristen tried not to cringe. She tapped her folded arms, watching the girl with assument. Alayna had three suitcases and two bags on her bed. She had packed everything. Like Kristen, Alayna was unsure if she would be returning for the semester after the holidays.

Over the few months, Kristen had taken somewhat of an older-sister role over Alayna. Much like Demitri had with Keith. As a result, Alayna had let Kristen in on a little more when it came to certain siuations then she did Keith or Demitri. Her brother had reluctantly let Alayna stay in the school. Mainly because Alayna refused to go home, and he couldn't provide their father with a vaild reason for taking Alayna out.

Even so, everytime Alayna wanted to go home for a holiday, Nicko came to personally escort her home. Though why this was so, Alayna had no idea. Alayna looked up at the clock and cursed. Nicko would be here soon.

Kristen let her eyes wander over the room. Alayna had left up all her paintings she had done. Some where from her class, but others were some she had done on her free time. Pulling the sleeves down on her black turtle neck, Kristen tossed on her white coat. "Got everything?" Kristen asked, slinging the one tote bag she was bringing over her shoulder. All she had was clothes really.

Alayna nodded, looking over her bags for the hundreth time. "I think--oh! How could I have forgotten?" Alayna fell to the floor, reaching under her bed for a long white tube. "Ha! That would have been bad. Ok, let's go."

The girls where down the hallway the next instant. Kristen knocked once on the door before kicking it open. Both her hands were full with Alayna's extra bags. "Come let's go. Alayna's brother is already downstairs waiting." She said, not walking into the room but standing in the hallway. Alayna was already out of the building, hoping to catch her brother before he got impatient.

Demitri stood up, shaking his head at Kristen and grinning. He grabbed his and Keith's bags, ignoring the protests from the angel.
"I go faster then you" He teased, slinging the two duffle bags over his shoulder before glancing around. He still hadn't decided if he was coming back here, so he had taken everything of meaning with him. The vampire was wearing a pair of jeans, black skate shoes and a t-shirt, the cold had no effect on him what-so-ever. He grinned at Keith, leading the way out of the room and after the two girls. He smiled to himself, although he was worried about his friends and what would happen after the holidays, he was relatively happy.

Keith sighed and followed, slowly, after Demitri. The angel was wearing a warm jacket and gloves, mainly because, unlike Demitri, coldness really got to him, plus, everyone was worried about him, and he didn't want to give them more cause to worry. He walked slowly down the stairs towards the main enterance, supressing a wince with each jarring movement. He glanced ahead at Demitri, smiling despite himself. The vampire's cheery mood was addictive. He sighed, one hand resting on the rail as he walked. He felt about eight times older then he looked, and his slowness made him miserable.

Once they were outside, Kristen laughed. Alayna and Nicko were already arguing. They were like this nearly everytime the older sibiling came to see his sister, and Krsiten had pretty much accepted it. "Here, these are her's too." She said, handing Nicko the rest of Alayna's bags.
Nicko smirked, taking the cases and shoving them into the trunk of his four-door car. "Thanks, Kristen." he said, slamming the trunk once the bags were there. Spinning the keys on his finger, he looked over at the group. He noticed how slow the angel was moving, but he was looking better.
"Where are you guys heading?" he asked, notcing the bags.
"Demitri invited us to Russia for break. Me and Keith don't have anywhere else to go for the holidays." Kristen said, shrugging indifferently.
"Do you guys need a ride to the airport or anything?" Nicko asked, looking from Demitri to Kristen from across the car. He already had one hand on the driver's door.

Alayna had turned from the group to look for Keith. She was still holding the whtie tube in her hands, and her lip was caught between her teeth. Walking back to him, Alayna tilted her head slightly. "Side bothering you?" she asked, knowing the angel wasn't fully healed yet.

Demitri frowned at Nicko, he wasn't to fond of the human, and that was fairly well known. Normally he'd recline the invite, but it wouldn't be fair to seperate the angel from Alayna yet.
"Yea that would be awesome" Demitri responded, looking at Kristen and blowing her a kiss. He was thankful that their relationship had survived, and even thrived despite all the harrasment from Laura and her friends, particularly at the recent hockey games. He sighed and glanced at Keith. The angel was moving ridiculously slow, at least in his opinion, and he wasn't sure if he was improving much. Kristen said he was, but the vampire was still unsure.
"Can you unlock the trunk?" Demitri asked Nicko, trying to keep his tone steady and light, despite his urge to snap at the human. He walked around to the back of the car, waiting impatiently waiting for the human.

"A bit" Keith lied, the lies came easy about this. He'd been telling them for months. He smiled as Demitri accepted the ride offer, it would mean more time with Alayna. He sighed and glanced at the white tube curiously, "What's that?" He asked, making his way slowly towards the car. His side was burning, but he had adjusted to that, it always burnt, it wasn't even fully healed yet. It was no longer stitched, but it was wrapped, and needed to be re-wrapped a lot, it still bled once in awhile, but he and Demitri had so far managed to keep that hidden.

Kristen smirked at Demitri. "Be nice." she muttered in rough Russian. Demitri had helped her learn throughout the year, but despite her efforts, Kristen wasn't anywhere near fluent. Some words stuck, and some she confused, and other's just went completely over her head. Now, Kristen could saw a few words, short expressions, and a rare sentence here and there.

Nicko nodded to Demitri. He walked around the side of the car to open the trunk for the vampire. His eyes wandered over to Keith and Alayna and he let out a shallow breath. Once the trunk was open, Nicko walked around the driver's side to start it up.

Alayna smiled at Keith. "You'll see." she said, childishly, walking with Keith's pace back to the car. She saw that Demitri was putting his and Keith's bags into the truck and she smiled. "Looks like we're giving you guys a ride to the airport." she said happily.

Demitri arched an eyebrow at Kristen.
This is nice. Mean would be ripping his head off The vampire responded, keeping his tone light. He deposited his, Keith's and Kristen's bags in the trunk, making sure he had the passports and the tickets. All were in his jeans pockets, which was just fine by him.
I suppose I have to take shot gun, don't I? He grumbled. Alayna and Keith would want to sit in the back, and Alayna and Kristen got along better then him and Kristen. As the year had progressed, he had sort of become a bit more distant from the human, mainly because, despite his best efforts, he really didn't understand her. He tolerated her for Keith and Kristen, but had started spending more time away from them, and with the other vampires. Of course he spent mass amount of time with Kristen, but mainly in the evenings.

Keith nodded, and arched an eyebrow at her.
"I will?" He murmured, opening the car door and sliding in. He glanced at Demitri and Kristen, wondering what they were saying. He didn't understand Russian at all. He had tired to learn, but it had never gone well. He sat down in the backseat, supressing a sigh of relief as he was able to rest. It drove him crazy how exahusted he was from the simple walk. He glanced at Demitri again, his friend seemed fairly annoyed, but that was only to be expected. Demitri wasn't exactly as fond of Nicko.

Kristen rolled her eyes. She understood all that Demitri said, however, responding was another story. "I'll take shotgun if you don't want to..." she added quietly as the vampire closed the trunk. She knew Demitri had somewhat of a hatred towards Nicko, for the reason Kristen would never know. She was just thankful that the airport wasn't too far away from the school. He would only have to deal for about twenty minutes, thirty at the most if there was traffic.

Nicko tapped his fingers lightly on the stearing wheel, looking over his shoulder as Keith slipped into the back seat. "Hey. Doing any better?" he asked as Alayna took the middle back seat. She had placed that white tube on the floor before buckling herself. Nicko knew his sister enough to know what was in the tube and he couldn't help but smile.

Looking out his left review mirror, Nicko wacthed Demitri and Krsiten. The two were still talking, though Demitri had closed the trunk. They were probably debating on who was to sit in the front with him. Nicko chuckled before changing the radio for some better music.

"Sit with Alayna, you guys are friends" Demitri said, shaking his head and taking shotgun. He sighed, settling himself in for a hellish ride. He closed the door and shot a grin at Keith, whom was sitting behind him. He was thankful for the music, it prevented small talk, which he didn't feel like indulging in right now. Shifting he pulled an iPod, cellphone and wallet, settling them on his lap. He checked his phone, quickly answering the texts from his brothers, before slipping his headphones in his ears. He knew Kristen would probably reach over and remove them, then attempt to call him rude in Russian, but he wanted his own music right now. He didn't need to turn it on high, but it was loud enough to distract him from the scent of human in the car.

Keith glanced at Nicko.
"I guess" The angel replied, shrugging his shoulder, and once again supressing the urge to wince. He sighed and glanced at Demitri. The vampire already had his headphones in, which indicated that the vampire was already aggrivated. He glanced at Kristen as she took the seat behind Nicko, next to Alayna and smiled. He glanced at Alayna, feeling the familiar pang in his chest. No one had told him anything, but they always went quiet whenever the subject of Christmas came up.

Kristen bit back a reply as Demitri walked away and sat in the front. She stood for a while longer before letting out a rough breath and taking the seat behind Nicko. She rolled her eyes towards Nicko in response to Keith and sunk in the seat, looking out the window as Nicko pulled the car from the school.

Alayna lurched with the car. She turned around to look out the back as the school disappeared from view. Her head throbbed and she turned back right. She smiled lightly at Keith and laced her fingers with his. "You'll send me a post card once you get there right?" she asked quietly, pulling her eyes away from their hands to look up at his face.

Demitri was bobbing his head along with the music in his ears, a small smile replaced the frown on his face as he zoned out. He was fairly excited to be going back to Russia, particularly for this time of year. The others would be cold, but he never noticed that and loved being out in the snow. Especially with his brothers and their full contact snowboarding and snowball fights. He sighed and leaned his head against the window, watching the scenery flick by much to slowly for his taste.

Keith glanced at Kristen, before returning his worried eyes to Alayna.
"Of course" He responded, leaning back against the seat and sighing. Demitri was zoned out, which was probably a good thing, and Kristen looked like she was amused by the vampire's behaviour. He sighed, he still felt like they were keeping stuff from him.

Alayna smiled, somewhat sadly. She nodded, again with that small smile. She rested her head against his shoulder gently. Closing her eyes, Alayna listened to the soft music coming from the radio. It helped to a point with drawing her attention, but that didn't work for too long, and her eyes opened and watched as things went past them.

Nicko seemed to be taking his time. That or Alayna was just imaging it. Either way, she was grateful. She wasn't exactly looking forward to Christmas away from her friends. Just the thought felt odd to her, and it didn't help any that her realtionship with Keith had strengthed. It hurt to think she may not be returning to the school. She was going to fight that fact all she could. The only thing that worried her were the scars. Every visit she had made home, she had managed to cover the pale white scars that covered her arms from the attack.
If Nicko decided to use them against her, Alayna would have no argument what-so-ever.

Kristen closed her eyes for what felt like two minutes. Car rides never failed to put her to sleep. The next thing she knew, Alayna was shaking her shoulder. "We're here." the girl murmured quietly as Nicko pulled the car to a slow stop.

Demitri had leapt out of the car before it had even stopped moving. He was overjoyed to be free of the small interior and was stretching to his fulle extent right now. Sighing he pulled his iPod headphones from his ears and popped the small, silver device in his pocket. He walked to the back of the now stopped car, waiting anxiously for Nicko to unlock the trunk. He frowned, he had something to say to the human, but he couldn't in front of Keith, Alayna and Kristen. He knew the others wouldn't like it, but it just simply had to be said. If Nicko's actions with Alayna over christmas did anything to hurt Keith, the human most definately would not live to see New Years.

Keith sighed, laughing softly as the vampire leapt out of the still moving vehicle. The car slowed and he opened the door, carefully, cautiously sliding from the vehicle, greatfully accepting Demiti's helping hand, which no one else would have even noticed thanks to vampiric speed. He stepped out of the car, leaning against the side of it as he waited for the others.

Nicko popped the trunk before stepping out from the car. Kristen sighed, opening her door and strecthing as well. Her arm twinged, along with her side. Although both were healed, the soreness and ache came back everynow and then. Kristen shivered with the wind and pulled her jacket around her tighter.

Walking around to the trunk, Kristen took her bag, slinging it over her shoulder effortlessly. She shoved her hands in her pockets and bounced to keep herself warm. This was going to be intersting. She was already cold, and she could only imagine how much worse it would be in Russia.

Alayna held in a sigh, gripping the tube in her hand tightly before stepping out along with Keith. She looked over at Nicko stepping onto the curb of the airport. She bounced like Kristen, having left her jacket in the car. Kristen nodded a thanks to Nicko before walking over to Alayna and hugging her.
"You've got my number," Kristen said quietly. Alayna smiled and nodded. "Have a good Christmas."
"You too." Alayna said quietly before looking over at Keith. Kristen smirked and walked into airport, wanting to get out of the cold and knowing Alayna wanted to be with Keith for a moment.

Demitri grabbed his and Keith's bag, glancing at the Keith and Alayna, before making his way over to Nicko. He frowned, holding the two bags effortlessly. He looked at the shoulder, eyes hard.
"If you do anything to jepordize his life this Christmas, I suggest you ask for a coffin and funural for Christmas" The vampire hissed as he walked by, not really pausing to exchange words with the human, but warning him all the same. He glanced back at Keith, plastering a smile on his face for his friend and Alayna.
"See you Alayna, have a good Christmas" He called, before disappearing into the airport after Kristen.
"Cold?" He teased her, still only wearing a thin, cotten t-shirt.

Keith sighed and glanced at Nicko and Demitri.
"Feel free to call me anytime. And have a good christmas" He murmured to her, reaching up to brush a hair from her face. He sighed, the pang in his chest was getting worse, which was making him more and more nervous. He watched his friends go inside, and knew they were giving him a moment with Alayna. He pulled her gently into his arms, careful not to strain himself to much.

Nicko hardly had a second to ask Demitri what on earth he meant, or to even reply. He rolled his eyes and slammed the trunk closed before slidding back into the driver's seat and starting the car back up. He looked down at the car clock before up at Alayna and Keith.

Alayna smiled to Demitri. "You too." she said before the vampire walked off. She looked down at the ground for a moment before looking up at Keith. "I will." she said, her voice quiet and light. She closed her eyes as he brushed her hair from her face. Alayna hugged the angel gently, not wanting to hurt him, or for him to strain himself at all. After a moment, Alayna pulled herself away with a deep breath. "This is for you." she said quietly, looking down at the tube in her hands. "It's a little something I painted." In reality, it was the painting she had been working on since October, and it was the same one Keith had always questioned her about. It was a potrait of a snapshoot Kristen had taken of Alayna and Keith under a tree during the fall.
"You can't open it till you get there though," Alayna said, trying to smile again as she handed it to him. She looked up at him for a long moment, as if commiting his face to memory. Alayna heard Nicko rev the engine and she swallowed the lump in her throat. "Have a good Christmas." she half studdered, having to swallow again. "I love you." she said quietly before reaching up to kiss him. Alayna gave him one last hug before pulling herself away painfully and half running back to the car. She slipped into the passenger seat and closed the door roughly as Nicko drove them away.


Kristen was sitting at a bench when Demitri came up to her. "Only a bit." she murmured. She had left to give Alayna and Keith some time as well as to get out of the cold. "What did you say to Nicko?" she asked, looking up at him with slightly harsh eyes. It was a look she gave him whenever he did something she didn't agree with.

Demitri smiled at Kristen.
"Sorry love, that's between us" He said, smiling although it was stiff.
"Glaring isn't going to make me tell you" He warned her in advance, in case she got the idea to glare at him the entire twelve hour flight. Twelve hours on a plane was going to be hard, especially since he couldn't pack bottles of blood anymore, thanks to the no liquid rules. He glanced around, the lines were fairly short for this time of year, which was fine by him. The quicker they were on the plane, the quicker they were off of it.

Keith smiled and accepted the painting.
"Okay" He said, kissing her back, lightly. He sighed, why did this moment hurt so bad?
"I love you too" He said, watching her go. He watched the car leave, feeling a small, yet painful lump in his throat. He turned, walking into the airport, seeing his friends nearby.
"Hey" He said, after a few moments of compulsive swallowing.

Kristen tried not to growl at the vampire. "You know sometimes saying something makes things worse." she muttered, taking up her bag again once Keith was back. Now began to the long and painful process of security, check in, and boarding the flight. Twelve hours in a plane Kristen was not looking forward too, but the sooner they got through security, the sooner they would get on the plane, the sooner they'd get there. At least, that was what Kristen was telling herself.
"We got everything?" she asked, looking from Demitri to Keith. Kristen wasn't going to ask Keith if he was alright. It was plain on his face that he wasn't. Instead, she tried to smile reassuringly. None of them had told Keith that Alayna might not return to the school. And if Alayna hadn't, then it wasn't in Kristen's place to say so. She noticed the tube in his hands was the one Alayna had ealier, and she chuckled.

"Yea, I double checked. And I packed you my jacket" He said, smiling at her and grabbing the bags of the floor. Instead of going to the line, he pulled out a pass and walked towards an automatic check-in device. They worked so much quicker, and then they could get through security. Sighing he punched in everything and was given three boarding passes, which he handed to each of his friends, along with their passports. It was odvious he had spent far to much time in the airport. Joining the line to depoisite their bags on the converyer belt, he quickly dropped them off, making sure to keep the two carry on bags.
"There, now all we need to do is get through security" He said with a frown. He was being careful not to breath to much, though he had fed, a lot, before they had left, airports were always a bad place for him. He always got extremely hungry fast, and being on a plane was never exactly safe when a hungry vampire was on board.
