"Wonderful!" he said, sitting up and clapping his hands in delight. He suddenly jerked over to wrap his arms around Crossfire's neck. The hound stopped just short of a chasm. On the other side sat the HQ. Alphonse smiled, then whistled. A dragon, a knucker to be precise, uncoiled and slithered over the edge of the canyon. It set it's head beside the two. "After you, Severus."

"Of course, the tech is still prototype."

Alphonse huffed. "Well are you going to jabber on all day or are we gonna get to HQ?" he said, his hound taking a step towards the knucker.

Severus growled. "Fine, then.", he said, walking towards the knucker.

As soon as Blaze had gotten situated on the dragon, Crossfire followed his partner above the creature's facial features. Alphonse whistled again, but in a different way, and the dragon move it's head to the other side. Crossfire slid down the other creature's nose and waited for Blaze.

(You control Blaze. I control Severend, Severus' griffin.)

((Okay? But Severus is on Blaze's back. Or is that not what you mean?))

The other hound followed, then both set out for HQ. "So then, Severus, as you were saying?" Alphonse asked, waving a hand to catch his attention.

'A few more trials, a few more parts, and the technology should be reapy to make some dragons, but we'll nee dto help. We need to get more scales to test on, and a few scrapped parts."

"Alright." he said, then Crossfire ran back. Soon Alphonse had returned. "Now we've got some knucker scales." The large dragon hissed, then disappeared into it's canyon.

"Very good. However, we'll need more scales. I think we can use a fw froim my large collection that I've taken as trophies.":

"Alright. Ya' know, strangely enough, I find myself feeling bad about the scales you got from those hatchlings. It's just that, well, they're so young..." he replied, rubbing Crossfire.

Severus turned to Alphonse. "Alphonse, say anything like that again, and I will cut your face off and feed it to Severend.", he said angrily. "Speaking of poor Severend, he won't be too happy to find out that one of those dragons ate his mate."

"Really? Okay, fill me in. What happened while I was gone?" Alphonse replied, placing a hand on his head.

"Well, that she-dragon ate Severend's mate, and then tried to kill me, but you came just in time. And ,they somehow managed to kill my void dragons."

"All of them?" he asked, his exposed eye showing his disbelief.

"Well, most of them."

"Jeez. I shoulda tried to get Blaze and Crossfire sooner." he muttered.

"It's fine. I can make more.", Severus said. Severend flew over to his master, looking at him happily.

Alphonse waved at the griffin, smiling. "Alright."

(Severend is a griffin. Remember?)

Severend looked at Severus expectantly. Severus sighed slightly. "Sorry buddy.", he said. Severend began growling. He understood what had happened.

The other man sighed, then heaved a pained sigh. "Aw, damn, thorn got me." he muttered, just noticing it. He slid off of Crossfire's back and leaned against the dog, opening the tear on his jacket. "Well ain't that wonderful." he muttered, looking at the wound left by the stinger of a large bee. Imagine a super-sharp knife, filled with a semi-fatal poison that had a big a chance of killing you as it didn't. Now, instead, imagine it being plunged through your chest, just missing your right lung. Just make the knife brown and cone-shaped, you would have the object protruding from Alphonse's chest.
